This paper presents an equivalent circuit of the hairpin line filter for accurate analysis and design. Its validity was verified by computer simulations and filter design experiments. Though the various design equations for a hairpin line filter have been proposed, there has not been a practically simplified equivalent circuit because it is hard to effectively represent interconnection effects between non-adjacent elements. In this paper, all the open ports of the hairpin line filter circuit are changed to the short ports using circuit duality, and the resulting circuits are transformed to graph model. The further simplified circuit model is obtained from boundary conditions, and then the final equivalent circuit of the hairpin line filter is derived in a dual structure of the filter.

The filter of hairpin type can be designed small but has a demerit which a design method is complex. This paper suggests the method that a hairpin line filter is designed with applying a transmission line method and J inverter circuit, accurately calculated the J value and the b parameter. It is considered about the line have no the mutual coupling element with next line to each other. is calculated a length of electric coupling line about coupling element in each inverter stage from the J value and the b parameter. In order to show the validity of the proposed design method, band pass filter of small hairpin line is designed at center frequency 2.6 GHz, with Serenade 8.0 software tool and the simulation characteristics are compared with design results.

In this paper, we propose a microstrip bandpass filter using stepped-impedance coupled-line hairpin resonators. The stepped-impedance coupled-line hairpin resonator has extended harmonic suppression in comparison with a conventional hairpin resonator due to transmission zero and the movement of harmonic frequencies resulting from the stepped-impedance characteristic. A high-pass type impedance/admittance inverter is employed in order to improve the lower frequency skirt characteristics of the passband. A 4-pole bandpass filter is designed and fabricated at 1.8 GHz. The measured results show the excellent attenuation performance at the stopband which is greater than 30 dB up to 10 GHz.

In this thesis, a narrowband bandpass filter using HTS is proposed for the multiplexer of the satellite communication subsystems. The proposed structure using HTS provides the narrower band and the lower insertion loss characteristics than the conventional parallel-coupled-line bandpass filter. The filter structure using hairpin-line only cause the spurious modes due to the surface waves. But these modes can be lessened by using the hybrid hairpin-line/parallel-coupled-line proposed in this thesis. The narrowband bandpass filters using HTS at the operation frequency of 14.25 GHz are fabricated to have the narrow bandwidth less 1% and the insertion loss less 3dB in comparison with the normal metal microstrip filter with the same three poles. The experimental results show that the filter using HTS has the characteristics of the narrower bandwidth and less insertion loss and can be fabricated with more compact size in comparison with the bandpass filter using normal metal.

Several kinds of design method for the hairpin type band-pass filter have been reported. The conventional design methods have some restrictions in characteristic impedance of coupled line section, which provide complexities to designer. In this paper, the novel design formulas for the hairpin type band pass filter have been derived and proposed to resolve the problems of the reported design methods. By employing the equivalent circuit of the coupled line section and band pass filter design theory, the design procedures and formulas are derived. The hairpin type RX/TX band pass filters for the IMT-2000 service have been designed, fabricated with duplexer configuration, and then measured to show the validity of the proposed design method.

In this paper, a $\lambda/4$ hairpin resonator is proposed to reduce the size of planar resonators for a LTCC MLC bandpass filter. The $\lambda/4$ hairpin resonator operates as stepped impedance resonator (SIR) without changing the width of the planar resonator. It is composed of two sections those are parallel coupled line and transmission line. The characteristic impedance of two sections is different each other. The design formulas of the bandpass filter using the coupling element at the arbitrary position are derived from even and odd-mode analysis. The formulas can take account of the arbitrary coupling of lumped ana/or distributed resonators. The advantage of this filter is its abilities to change freely the coupling structure between two resonators. Experimental bandpass filters for 2.4GHz Band are implemented and their performances are shown.

Experimental study on the three-dimensional topology of hairpin packet structures in turbulent boundary layers were carried out. Two different Reynolds number based on momentum thickness, Re$\sub$$\theta$/=514 and 934 were generated in a blowing type wind tunnel under the condition of zero pressure gradient. Simultaneous measurements of velocity fields at a wall-normal plane and wall-parallel plane by a plane PIV and a Stereo-PIV systems. The two Nd:Yag laser systems and three CCD cameras were synchronized to obtain instantaneous velocity fields at the same time. To avoid optical noise at the crossing line by the two laser light sheets, a new optical arrangement using polarization was applied. The obtained velocity fields show the existence of hairpin packet structure vividly and the idealized hairpin vortex signature is confirmed by experiment. Two counter-rotating vortex pair which reflects the cutting plane of hairpin legs are found both side of a strong streaky structure when the wall-normal plane cuts the hairpin head.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to actually implement and verify whether welding defects can be detected in real time by utilizing deep learning AI solutions in the welding process of electric vehicle hairpin winding motors. Methods: AI's function and technological elements using synthetic neural network were applied to existing electric vehicle hairpin winding motor laser welding process by making special hardware for detecting electric vehicle hairpin motor laser welding defect. Results: As a result of the test applied to the welding process of the electric vehicle hairpin winding motor, it was confirmed that defects in the welding part were detected in real time. The accuracy of detection of welds was achieved at 0.99 based on mAP@95, and the accuracy of detection of defective parts was 1.18 based on FB-Score 1.5, which fell short of the target, so it will be supplemented by introducing additional lighting and camera settings and enhancement techniques in the future. Conclusion: This study is significant in that it improves the welding quality of hairpin winding motors of electric vehicles by applying domestic artificial intelligence solutions to laser welding operations of hairpin winding motors of electric vehicles. Defects of a manufacturing line can be corrected immediately through automatic welding inspection after laser welding of an electric vehicle hairpin winding motor, thus reducing waste throughput caused by welding failure in the final stage, reducing input costs and increasing product production.
In this paper, microstrip bandpass filter combined DCRLH metameterial-cells with a hairpin resonator is designed and fabricated to be transferred only fundamental passband signal, and removed a spurious resonant mode occurring when filter design using a microstrip transmission line is done. The bandpass filter is composed of CCRLH hairpin resonator and DCRLH interdigit metameterial-cells. The hairpin resonator with CCRLH property is implemented between two DCRLH interdigit metameterial-cells with DCRLH property, which is parallel to input port and output port. The interdigit metameterial-cells suppress spurious harmonics occurring on the higher order frequency and improve a filter performance. Insertion loss of the fabricated microstrip bandpass filter on the passband from 1.91GHz to 2.41GHz is 0.2dB, and attenuation on the stopband from 3GHz to 7.7GHz is bellower than -30dB. Therefore, this filter has a good performance for both mobile communications of WCDMA and wireless internet of WiBro.

In this paper, a new hairpin type strip-line BPF(Band Pass Filter) improving the suppression performance of unwanted frequency signal is studied. A modified hairpin filter is designed by classical hairpin filter design methodology and is realized by newly placing structure of designed filter. And a newly formed coupled-line effects between modified bilateral symmetry structures make the transmission zeros. Each transmission zeros can shift its frequency to wanted frequency by tuning a certain part of filter. To investigate the validity of this novel technique, an order-5 Chebyshev BPF centered at 9.2 GHz with a 15 % FBW(fractional bandwidth) were used. According to design and measurement results, a good performance of insertion loss of 0.8 dB and unwanted signal suppression of maximum 50 dB is achieved at full input/output ports.
