Rehabilitation and upgrading of the irrigation facilities are usually for the reservoirs, pumping stations, and other facilities in the paddy fields. Changes in food consumption patterns have taken place in Korea and there are growing foreign demands that we open our agricultural products market. In accordance with this situation, farmers are turning increasingly to growing vegetables which provide a high income cash crop. It is necessary to irrigate by pressure through pipe lines in farming facilities and mass production farming. Flood damage occurs as a result of heavy rainfall. The design criteria should be followed to minimize the risk of the flood damage in rehabilitation and upgrading.

There is a growing body of literature on the adverse health effects of ambient air pollution. Children are more adversely affected by air pollution due to their biological susceptibility and exposure patterns. This review summarized the accumulated epidemiologic evidence with emphasis on studies conducted in Korea and heterogeneity in the literature. Based on systematic reviews and meta-analyses, there is consistent evidence on the association between exposure to ambient air pollution and children's health, especially respiratory health and adverse birth outcomes, and growing evidence on neurodevelopmental outcomes. Despite these existing studies, the mechanism of the adverse health effects of air pollution and the critical window of susceptibility remain unclear. There is also a need to identify causes of heterogeneity between studies in terms of measurement of exposure/outcome, study design, and the differential characteristics of air pollutants and population.

Soft Ferrites 가운데 대표적인 자성재료로써 최근에 개발된 Mn-Zn Ferrite는 높은 초기투자율과 포화자속밀도, 낮은 손실계수를 갖고 있으며 또한, 단결정으로써의 기계적 특성이 우수하며 VTR Head의 소재로 사용되는 중요한 전자부품이다. melt를 수용하는 도가니를 사용치 않아 결정으로의 불순물 침입이 없으며 halogen lamp로부터 방출된 적외선을 열원으로 하여 한 곳에 초점을 이루어 온도구배를 크게 유지하여 결정성장을 이루는 Floating Zone(FZ)법에 의해 Ar 및 $O_2$혼합가스 분위기 하에서 직경 8mm의 Mn-Zn Ferrite 단결정을 육성하였다. 성장 중 용융대에서의 최고온도는 $1650^{\circ}C$ 온도를 유지하였고 결정성장 속도는 10mm/hr, 회전속도는 20 rpm 이었으며 성장방위를 확인하기 위해 Laue 분석 및 XRD, TEM을 이용, 결정의 상등을 분석하였으며 화학적인 etching을 하여 광학현미경을 통해 etch pits 형상을 관찰하였다. 그리고 양질의 결정을 얻기 위해 원료봉 직경에 따른 결정화 속도와 적정한 melt직경과 길이에 대한 상관관계를 찾아내었고 또한 성장계면의 양상에 대해 고찰하였다.

The need for children's formal wear is growing as parents take their children into formal occasions more often than before. Yet there are some problems to be solved in order to generalize about children's formal wear such as high price and the development of patterns for better fit and design. Mothers of boys were surveyed to find out the needs, complaints, and required improvements of boy's formal wear. Pattern designers of children's formal wear brands were interviewed to determine the size specifications, pattern drafting methods and design features of each brand. Based on these results, several pattern drafting methods were selected. Jackets and pants for 9-year-olds were made by each pattern drafting method using the us standard size. They were compared through wearing test to improve the fit. As a result, pattern drafting methods for children's tailored suits and two formal jackets were suggested.

Recently, the studio which is urban housing form is rapidly growing up by new residential space according to increasing 1~2 person households form because of Modern members who have changing patterns of life and diversification of social values. The resident of the studio who lives or uses the space for a work such as students, office worker and soho-jok has various characters by a society nature changes and a regional peculiarity. The studio form and function is getting change according to variety trend changes and their life styles. The role and use of residential space also have variety such as the resident who lives in the studio. This study is to find the space utilization for them and reasonable housing solution in that structure, furniture and Wall Storage System of existing studio which is based on the common life patterns. The study's purpose is to propose the furniture design of changeable Wall Storage System according to the analysis.

As volume of international trade is growing importance for service business and service trade are also increasing. Increasing importance of service trade in Korea is also a reflection of such international trading. In this treatise this writer did not address various topics in relation to international trade arising from service trade. But confined the topic to study of concept of service and concept and patterns of service trade. Depending on scholars concept of service may be varied and this holds true also with concept of service trade which also lends itself to various classification. Among them if the focus is concentrated to tax standard in international trade then it can be classified into service transaction. In other words classification can be made according to service trade separated from commodities transaction with embodiment of service and service trade accompanying commodities transaction. In this treatise this writer confined the topic to introduction of international service trade but issues arising in relation to such trade internationally are varied. For this reason more study on such topics will be required in future.

Asian Americans is a minority population contributing approximately 4% to the total population of the United States, however it is one of the fastest growing populations. Although Asian Americans as a group have socioeconomic profiles that are similar to white Americans, significant variations exists within and across Asian ethnic groups. The top ten leading causes of death for Asian Americans includes cancer, heart diseases, stroke, unintentional injuries, diabetes, influenza and pneumonia, chronic lower respiratory disease, suicide, nephritis, and septicemia. The prevalence of obesity is lower among Asian Americans, however this should be taken with considerations specific to Asians. High salt and low calcium consumption seem to be dietary risk factors for Asian Americans, although dietary patterns are changing with acculturation. Factors affecting dietary patterns are discussed in this paper. A proactive nutrition education approach for Asian Americans should be promoting maintaining 'healthy' aspects of ethnic diets and adopting 'healthy' American diets. Collaboration with nutrition educators in Asian countries would be helpful to overcome limited resources available for researching and developing nutrition education messages and materials for Asian Americans. It is remarkable that the children's wear market has been growing instead of declining birth rate. The parents are willing to pay more when they find children's wear of better design and improved quality. For better quality, it is necessary to research on the pattern making of children's wear. After the interview with the 10 leading children's brands, we found that they develop individual design pattern based on each items middle block pattern which characterize the brands design line. Most frequently used middle block is for casual pants. Through interview with pattern designers, comparative study of patterns drafting methods, wearing test of trial garments and altering and adjustment of patterns, we developed the casual pants block pattern for 7 years old boys.

Data mining, which is also referred to as knowledge discovery in database, means a process of nontrivial extraction of implicit, previously unknown and potentially useful information (such as knowledge rules, constraints, regularities) from data in databases. The discovered knowledge can be applied to information management, decision making, and many other applications. In this paper, a new data mining problem, discovering sequential patterns, is proposed which is to find all sequential patterns using sampling method. Recognizing that the quantity of database is growing exponentially and transaction database is frequently updated, sampling method is a fast algorithm reducing time and cost while extracting the trend of customer behavior. This method analyzes the fraction of database but can in general lead to results of a very high degree of accuracy. The relaxation factor, as well as the sample size, can be properly adjusted so as to improve the result accuracy while minimizing the corresponding execution time. The superiority of the proposed algorithm will be shown through analyzing accuracy and efficiency by comparing with Apriori All algorithm.

Increasing number of transactions and investments in technology has sparked a growing interest in technology valuation. However, it has not been easy to come up with an objective valuation of technology due to variance in technology value, purpose of valuation, and technology patterns. The central paradigm for making decisions about large technology investments is net present value. Unfortunately, it is badly flawed and systematically under values every investment opportunity. The main objective of this paper lies in the development of a new approach for technology valuation using the Real Option Valuation.
