Purpose: This study examined grandmothers' experience of child care with grandchildren to understand how it affects their stage of life based on the methodology of grounded theory. Methods: This study used grounded theory, a method of qualitative study, as the theoretical foundation. The subjects of this study were 10 grandmothers who have reared their grandchildren for at least 6 months and volunteered to participate in the study after listening to an explanation. Resources were collected through in-depth interviews and the interviews were recorded and dictated. Results: The core category of participants in this study was "solidifying the family relationship". There were five steps in the process of "solidifying the family relationship". The first step of process was "affection motion" of rearing to help their daughters. The second step was "conflict" due to physical constraint and burden of child care. The third step was "acceptance" based on compensation and support and the fourth step was "development" in search of their ego. The last step was "integration" of family relationship. Conclusion: This study provided basic data for appropriate nursing intervention to grandmother to care for their grandchildren according to the five steps of grandmother's child care experience process.

Purpose: This research was conducted to explore the experience of middle-aged women parting with their children and to develop a grounded theory. Method: The participants were 11 women in their 50's who had experienced parting with their children due to schooling, military service and marriage. The grounded theory methodology based on symbolic interactionism was used. Results: 106 concepts, 30 subcategories and 14 categories were derived from the analysis through processes of open coding, axial coding and selective coding. The central phenomenon was 'happy but sad' and the core category was a process of 'independence that is sorrowful yet delightful'. Four types were identified; the independent-type; submissive -type; family-reliant-type ; and fragile-type; based on the attachment to the child, state of mind, satisfaction of the situation, family support system and self-achievement. Conclusion: This research identified that the modern Korean middle-aged women who are considered to be the 'sandwich generation' since they have experienced a turbulent history and the change from a confucian parent-child lifestyle to a couple-oriented one, moved away from an attitude dependent on children in parting with them and started preparing for an independent late life. Based on the results, the verification research is advised on the variables that affect the experience of parting with children.

우리나라의 대학입시제도가 근래 다양화되면서 제도의 공정성 문제가 꾸준히 제기되어오고 있다. 대학입시의 공정성에 대한 선행연구는 일반적인 정책대안 혹은 교사집단의 인식을 중심으로 이루어졌으나 이 연구는 대학입시제도의 가장 직접적인 당사자라고 할 수 있는 학생들이 대학입학전형제도의 공정성에 대해 느끼는 인식을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 연구는 대학생 11명의 인터뷰자료를 이용하여 근거이론(Grounded Theory) 방법을 적용하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 인과적 조건은 수능시험위주에서 벗어난 대입전형의 다양화과정에서 일어난 잦은 제도의 변경이며, 중심현상은 절차적 측면과 분배적 측면에서의 근본적인 대입제도의 불공정성으로 나타났다. 또한 맥락적 조건으로는 서울과 지방의 차이를 중심으로 한 대학입학에 관한 정보와 인프라의 격차로 분석되었으며 중재적 조건으로는 정보화기술의 발전과 개인 혹은 집단 차원의 노력으로 분석되었다. 결론적으로 대학생들은 대학입학전형의 불공정성이 일회적 처방으로 해결할 수 없는 사회구조적인 문제를 배경으로 하고 있는 것으로 인식하고 있었다.

본 연구는 '알코올 중독자 가정 자녀의 적응과정은 어떠한가?' 라는 연구문제를 가지고 알코올 중독자 가정에서 성장한 만 18세 이상 성인자녀의 적응과정을 심층적으로 탐색한 것이다. 이를 위해 알코올 중독자 가정자녀 8명을 대상으로 심층면접을 한 후 Strauss와 Corbin(1998)의 근거이론방법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구참여자들의 근거자료를 분석 한 결과, 알코올 중독자 가정 자녀가 경험하는 중심현상은 존재부정, 억눌림으로 분석되었다. 이에 대한 인과적조건, 맥락적조건, 중재적조건, 작용/상호작용전략과 결과를 통합한 핵심범주는 '부모의 알코올 문제로부터 자신을 분리하여 자아를 재정립함'으로 구체화되었다. 또한 자녀들의 적응과정은 혼란과 억압단계, 갈등단계, 인식과 분리단계, 수용단계의 과정으로 이루어지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 알코올 중독자 가정자녀의 적응에 대한 이론 구축과 사회복지실천의 방향제시에 함의를 가진다.

본 연구는 이주노동자들이 한국 사회에서 경험한 제노포비아(Xenophobia)에 대한 연구로 한국적 상황과 맥락에서의 제노포비아 현상에 대한 실체이론(Substantive Theory)을 제시하고자 하는 목적을 지니고 있다. 본 연구는 근거이론(Grounded Theory) 연구방법으로 접근하였다. 연구에는 18명의 이주노동자가 참여하였다. 자료는 심층면담을 수행하여 구성하였다. 자료는 Strauss와 Corbin(2008)이 제시한 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩 순으로 분석하였다. 연구자는 개방코딩에서 구성한 13개의 범주를 중심으로 패러다임 모형을 제시하고 과정분석을 하였으며 핵심범주를 "내적모순이 충일한 한국 사회에서 미래의 적으로 간주되어 정체성을 상실하고 유사한 한국인으로 우거하는 삶"으로 구성하였다. 연구자는 연구결과에 근거하여 논의를 하였고 제노포비아 현상을 완화할 수 있는 제언을 하였다.

In general, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners consider innovation by producers as a primary mode in a market economy. However, the recent research has shown that some of the most important, novel products and processes have been developed by users-both user firms and individual end-users. According to von Hippel [1988], he found that they were the developers who made about 80 percent of the most important scientific instrument innovations as well as the major innovations in semiconductor processing. In this research, we conducted grounded research on user-led innovation at the corporate-level. Also, we analyzed the train development project (SR000) of Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation (SMRT). We focused on identifying the success factors of user-led innovation, and development process.

The life of a mother undergoes a dramatic change after a child is diagnosed with cancer. The present study aimed to determine effects on the everyday life process and health status of mothers with children suffering from leukemia. This qualitative study was based on a grounded theory approach with sixteen mothers. The results indicate that after onset of disease in their children, they marginalized their own health and tied their identities to taking care of the child and keeping the child healthy by ignoring themselves, becoming imprisoned in a taking-care-of-the-child position, and trying very hard for seek balance and stability Enduring physical pressures on the one hand, and constantly attempting to achieve balance and stability in family processes on the other hand, gradually cause exhaustion. It seems that health care providers and nurses should pay much more attention to the health status of this group of mothers.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to explain the mechanism of user behaviors in password reset context based on descriptive data from conducting interviews. Specifically, this study attempted to describe the process of changing password from the shadow work perspective. Design/methodology/approach This study has interviewed 8 participants who can freely use numerous online web-sites. This study also employed the grounded theory methodology to analyze interview manuscripts. After conducting analyzing the manuscripts, this study has extracted 46 codes in the coding steps and ultimately presented 8 categories by combining similar concepts from those codes. Findings According to the results, this study provides new viewpoints to explain unique user behavior in the password reset context by capturing the shadow work based on the results. This study further offers practical implications to numerous practitioners by finding various codes, which related to users' reaction and behavior.

This study conducted in-depth interviews with 8 ICT companies experienced in technology transfer and collaboration with government-funded research institutions, employing Grounded Theory methodology. From these interviews, 139 episodes were extracted and categorized into 29 sub-categories across the companies. Validation by independent coders further classified these into 5 categories: potential absorptive capacity, realized absorptive capacity, technology collaboration activities, technology collaboration performance, and innovation intermediaries. The validation results suggest that companies with higher absorptive capacity are more actively involved in technology collaboration. Moreover, companies utilizing innovation intermediaries demonstrate increased collaboration frequencies. The study contributes to academia and industry by providing insights for companies to improve competitiveness and foster smooth technology collaboration, enhancing collaborative outcomes. Future research should focus on quantitatively validating these findings.

An approach is presented for efficient numerical integration of the Sormnerfeld type integrals pertinent to the microstrip surface Green's function arising in the problem of an electric current point source on an infinite planar grounded dielectric substrate. This approach, valid for both lossless and lossy dielectric substrates, is based on the deformation of the integration contour via a coordinate transformation and Cauchy's residue theory, and identifies clearly the effects of surface waves. I ts useful application is in a rigorous moment method analysis of micros trip antenna arrays and microstrip guided wave structures. The efficiency and the usefulness of the present approach are emphasized through some numerical calculations of the impedance matrix elements with associated CPU times.
