  • In this paper, we are proposed the antennas for RFID tag operated at UHF band which are inserted ground plane easy to mount the RFTD chips at the antenna surfaces. In order to implemented antenna for RFID tag which the size is same as conventional name card, the structure of the antenna is meander type, matching method for improvement characteristics of the antenna use T matching method, ground plane is inserted at the antenna substrate fer mounting RFID chips. The substrate size of implementation is $100\times60\;mm^2$ and the FR4 substrate is used. Results of the experiment, the center frequency of the implemented antenna is 427 MHz, -10 dB return loss bandwidth is 8 MHz, maximum return loss is 21 dB, the radiation pattern is omnidirectional. From these results, we are conformed application for UHF RFID tag antenna.

  • The extent of a rectangular conducting plane for measuring electromagnetic interference is discussed. Mutual coupling between the transmit and receive antennas is negligible, the effects of the ground plane on the normalized site attenuation(NSA) are considered by applying GTD(Geometric theory of diffraction). The calculation was done for the case that measuring distance(d) was 3 m for both horizontal and vertical polarizations. As the result, the size of the rectangular ground plane almost never affects upon NSA for horizontal polarization, but for vertical case, when both width and length of the rectangular plane are several times as long as distance, the effects of the edges are reduced under 1 dB.

  • A technique to expand the operating impedance bandwidth of a microstrip patch antenna is presented. The antenna is fed by a truncated T-shaped microstrip line on the ground plane with the rectangular slot. The proposed microstrip patch antenna offers wide bandwidth characteristics with the rectangular slot which has optimized size and position on the ground plane. The simulation result shows a fractional bandwidth of 127.8 %(0.65 to 2.95 GHz) at VSWR 2:1.

  • This letter presents the design of a novel multiband USB dongle antenna with a compact ground plane. The radiating patch is composed of a modified meander-line monopole and a shorted loop to generate a dual-broadband resonance. The proposed antenna supports WiBro, Bluetooth, WLAN, WiMAX, and S-DMB services. The total dimensions of the fabricated antenna are 10 mm ${\times}$ 45 mm ${\times}$ 1 mm, the most compact size among multiband USB dongle antennas reported to date. The measured 10 dB reflection loss bandwidths are 20.8% (2.24 GHz to 2.76 GHz) and 20.2% (4.86 GHz to 5.95 GHz). The measured peak gain is 2.97 dBi, and efficiency is higher than 58%. In addition, the radiation pattern approximates an omnidirectional pattern.

  • In this paper, we proposed a internal antenna for Quad band for GSM/DCS/USPCS/WCDMA Handset. Antenna Structure is designed to PIFA type. Antenna planed two independence patterns to reduce the size for efficiency and used shoting pin and inverse seven_type slit. Also they miniaturized the antenna construction electronic length for duty. furthermore, they designed and producted the antena height for 5w and ground term for 40*80mm. It is because they have wondered the thickness of terminal. used of for reduce size efficiently. The radiation pattern characteristic of antenna is compared and analyzed E-plane and H-plane at 920MHz, 1800MHz.

  • In this paper, a switchable circularly polarized microstrip patch antenna using PIN diodes and corner slots on ground plane is proposed at 2.4 GHz. The proposed antenna has a square microstrip patch and ground plane that consists of two pair of slots and PIN diodes. The electrical lengths of the slots are adjusted by using the switching characteristic of the PIN diode, so the polarization of the proposed antenna can be switchable between linear, left-handed(LH) and right-handed(RH). By separating the ground plane for the DC bias, the size reduction effect is also obtained. When the proposed antenna is operated as linear polarization, the return loss and impedance bandwidth are 15 dB, 59 MHz, and when operated as LH and RH polarization, the minimum axial ratio and 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth are 1.17 dB, 1.67 dB, 28 MHz, and 32 MHz, respectively.

  • This paper demonstrates a scalp-implantable miniaturized antenna at the medical implant communication service (MICS) (402-405MHz) band. The antenna size is only $27.63mm^3$($8.5mm{\times}6.5mm{\times}0.5mm$), which is the smallest antenna for the MICS band. Miniaturization is achieved by using a symmetrical serpentine shaped radiating patch and placing open-end slots in the ground plane. In addition, co-axial feeding is used for excitation with a shorting pin connected between the radiator and ground. The antenna was simulated in a homogeneous skin model and in the human scalp. An experimental prototype of the proposed antenna was fabricated and measured in a skin-mimicking gel. Good agreement was obtained between the measurement and simulation results, showing a broad bandwidth of 49 MHz (from 395 to 444 MHz) for |S11| less than -10 dB and a maximum gain of -42.87 dBi. This gain is higher than the previous MICS antenna with respect to antenna size.

  • In this paper, we proposed novel photonic bandgap(PBG) structure using EGP(Elevated Ground Plane) and via in ceramic substrate of microstrip line. From analysis result, the proposed PBG structure is reduced 52.5% at size and increased 45 % at bandwidth compared to typical planar PBG structure. It is also reduced 32 % at size and improved more than 8 dB at power loss compared to typical multilayer DGS(Defected Ground Structure). The proposed PBG structure also can be used bandstop and lowpass filter and it will be useful for small microwave integrated circuit and module development.

The antenna have broadband property structurally through planar monopole and ground which have parabolic edge. It is designed close to self-complementary structure as changing curvature of edge of monopole and ground. Monopole and ground of proposed antenna exist on coplanar plane, and excite as coaxial feeding. It used FR4 dielectric substrate of ${\varepsilon}_r=4.4$, and the size is $26{\times}31{\times}1.6mm$. Return loss is more than 10 dB in $3.1{\sim}10.6GHz$. Radiation pattern is about the same that of dipole antenna at all frequency. At measured result, max gain is $1.37{\sim}6.02dBi$ at E-plane.

  • In this paper, we present a miniaturized differential line (DL) using inductance-enhanced corrugated ground planes (LCGP) for effective common-mode (CM) noise suppression in high-speed packages and printed circuit boards. The LCGP-DL demonstrates the CM noise suppression in the frequency range from 2.09 GHz to 3.6 GHz. Furthermore, to achieve the same low cutoff frequency, the LCGP-DL accomplishes a remarkable 23.2% reduction in size compared to a reference DL.
