On September 25, 2015, 193 countries of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, signed the 2030 Agenda to work towards attaining 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and its associated 169 targets and 232 indicators. With one of the largest renewable energy programs, India is well-poised to be a role model for low-carbon transformation to other Asian countries. However, bridging the financing gap is critical to ensure that the country meets its SDG targets. Though the SDGs identified by the UN are broad-based and interdependent, for ease of analysis we have grouped them into five themes - people, planet, prosperity, peace, and partnership - based on existing UN models. This paper investigates the financing gap for 'green' projects linked to planet-related SDG targets in India. It builds an argument for utilizing green bonds as an instrument to bridge the gap. After establishing the potential of green bonds in raising the finance to meet India's planet-related SDG targets, we look at the current policy landscape and suggest recommendations for successful execution. The paper concludes that deepening of the corporate fixed income securities market and firming up guidelines in line with India's climate action plans are inevitable before green bonds can be considered a viable financing option.
This study aims to analyze the landscape ecological characteristics of green spaces within built up area of high density and evaluate the potential applicability of green patches, thereby introducing urban garden for generating green networks in residence areas. To this end, Yeoksam-Dong was selected as the site area since it is classified as both green initiative zone and alienated area of park service in Seoul. First, the current condition of green spaces in Yeoksam-Dong was identified by five categories: Street trees, private garden, public pocket garden, rooftop garden, and park. Then, the landscape index analysis through FRAGSTATS and connectivity assessment via multi-buffer zone analysis were carried out for analyzing the green networks and evaluating the potential value of green space. The results showed that the degree to which green areas in the site were distributed is arranged in the order of street tree, private garden, public pocket garden, park, and rooftop garden. In case of the street trees whose total core area (TCA, $1,618m^2$) is as high as the park's ($1,128m^2$). Private garden has potential for green network in built up area of high density by gardening since the shape of the patches are irregular (ED = 78.1m/ha) and the average distance among the patches is close (ENN=33.9m). Public pocket garden has also potential for gardening according to the result that it was found to be distributed evenly (LPI=5.7%, SHEI=0.9) with exposing external disturbance ($TCA=66m^2$). For the green network, 84% of all the study site is covered by small green network in 50m butter range of connected green area. The effect of green network was expected through gardening in public pocket garden (27%) and street tree (26%). Accordingly, it is encouraged to actively utilize street tree, private gardens, and rooftop gardens and to establish the urban gardens like local-based community gardens in public pocket garden where a variety of activities can be carried out near residential areas. By doing so, green networks can effectively be established in built up area with high density. The results of this study can contribute positively to fostering the creation of various types of urban gardens.

This study examined the growth and sensory characteristics of soybean sprout cultured at 25$\pm$1$^{\circ}C$ for 4 days with distilled water control and green tea extracted water (0.03% and 0.05%). The proximate composition of soybean sprout in the green-tea water was better than that of the control in ash, protein and fat, while the soybean sprout was especially higher in 0.05% green-tea water. The contents of vitamin C and $\beta$-carotene were higher in soybean sprout in green-tea water than the control. The total free amino acids composition of soybean sprout in green-tea water was better than that of the control, with the highest being obtained in soybean sprout in 0.03% green-tea water. Antioxidative activity was assayed by DPPH radical scavenging ability with spectrophotometer at 514 nm. The soybean sprout in green-tea water was higher than control. The amylase activity of the soybean sprout increased steadily during the first 4 days and that of the control was higher than soybean sprout in green-tea water. The proteinase of soybean sprout steadily increased during 4 day culture. Furthermore, the proteinase activity of soybean sprout in green-tea water was higher than that of the control up to 2 days. Whereas after 3 days, it was the highest in 0.03% green-tea water and then decreased remarkably in 0.05% green-tea water.

Based on the increasing demand for a solution to reduce thermal load, extensive green roofs have great opportunity for application to existing roofs due to their light-weight and easy maintenance. The present study delivers data regarding thermal behavior and heat reduction potential in relation to vegetation coverage between green roof types. 1) In the hottest hour in a day, green roofs showed considerable potential to mitigate heat load in roof environments, which can be up to $10^{\circ}C$ difference. 2) Compared to conventional cement roofs, the extensive green roofs only have a slight potential to cool the air over green roofs. By statistical analysis of linear regression, green coverage has little to do with the reduction of air temperature; the cooling effect was proven only in nighttime. 3) Green roofs act as an insulating roof membrane, the inner substrate of green roofs remained cooler than cement roof surfaces in the daytime, but in the nighttime the green roofs generally were warmer than the cement roof surfaces. 4) The variable of vegetation coverage resulted in no significant difference in thermal behavior in the air, but had the greatest effect in keeping the substrate cool in the daytime. The high vegetation coverage also hindered the rapid cooling of the substrate in the nighttime, and therefore was warmer than other measured temperatures. In order to draw a clear conclusion to combat urban heat island effect with extensive green roofs, the experiment needs to be applied on a larger scale.

Green tea was known which regulated adipocyte differentiation metabolism. The mechanism on the lipid decreased contents of TAG in the plasma. In addition, green tea increased the expression leptin mRNA, PPAR $\delta$ mRNA and TGF $\beta$. The tea tested was korean powdered green tea. In this experiment, Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were fed $3\%$ green tea(powdered) for 3 weeks on the basal diet and obese diet and green tea grouts-fed pork meats. duck meats. The expression of leptin mRNA and PPAR $\delta$ mRNA were up-regulated in the green tea-fed groups compared with those of the not green tea-fed groups. There were no significantly difference on the expression of leptin mRNA and PPAR $\delta$ mRNA in green tea grouts-fed pork meats, duck meats as compared with the not fed green tea grouts meats. TGF $\beta$ mRNA. TNF $\alpha$ mRNA and adipsin mRNA were not expressed in the pork meats, duck meats. The expression of TGF $\beta$ mRNA, TNF $\alpha$ mRNA and adipsin mRNA were observed in the experimental rats but no significantly difference on the contents. Physiologic regulated genes were not expressed In the green tea grout-fed pork meats and duck meats.
This study was carried out to evaluate the visual turfgrass's color quality, winter color, and spring green-up under three different soil systems and to make a practical use for sports turf design and construction. Several turfgrasses were evaluated in multi-layer, USGA and mono-layer systems. Turfgrass entries in the study comprised of 3 cultivars from Korean lawngrass (Zoysia japonica Steud.) of typical warm-season grass (WSG) and 3 blends and 3 mixtures from Kentucky bluegrass (KB, Poa pratensis L.), perennial ryegrass (PR, Lolium perenne L.), and tall fescue (TF, Festuca arundinacea Schreb.) of cool-season grass (CSG). Significant differences were observed in the turfgrass's color quality, winter color, and spring green-up in the study. Seasonal variation of visual turf color greatly occurred according to soil systems and turfgrasses. Multi-layer and USGA systems were highly associated with better visual color ratings, as compared with mono-layer system. Regardless of soil system, visual turf color in all entries was better from spring to fall than in winter. Great color differences were observed during a period of early December to early spring. CSG produced a better color quality over WSG in any soil system. Overall color ratings for CSG were KB > PR > Mixtures > TF. As for a winter color, its ranking was USGA > multi-layer > mono-layer system. No difference was found in winter among cultivars of Korean lawngrass, being completely brown, but great differences among CSG. Rated best for winter color was PR, followed by CSG mixtures, KB and finally TF in order. It was generally conceded that fast green-up in spring was greatly related with multi-layer over mono-layer system and also CSG over WSG. Among CSG, TF had a fastest green-up. PR was also fast in green-up, but poor in color uniformity. KB, however, was the slowest due to shallow rooting system, when compared with other CSGs. These results demonstrate color differences were greatly variable according to soil systems and also among turfgrass species. A precise decision should be made in selecting turfgrass species and soil system. Multi-layer and USGA systems were considered as the suitable one for turfgrass color quality, winter color and spring green-up. It is a great necessity to combine proper soil system, right turfgrass species, and appropriate mixing rates by a concept-oriented approach, when establishing garden, parks, soccer field, and golf courses and so on.
The influence of small urban parks(green ratio is 100%) on the temperature pattern over the urban and its surrounding area was examined by analyzing the case of in and around Changkyeong palace, Changdeok plalace and Jongmyo, Jongro-gu, Seoul. The pattern of temperature over urban parks and their surrounding built-up area was analyzed from September to November 2000, measuring maximum and minimum temperatures with fixed sensors(maximum and minimum thermometer)and real-time temperature depends largely on both the land-use type and the distance from the park border. In the case of maximum temperature, the lowest value appeared on the
green area within parks and the highest value on the built-up area far from the green area. The maximum temperature difference between parks and built-up areas was up to $7.3^{\circ}C$. In the built-up area, the maximum temperature of commercial areas was higher than residential areas. In the night time, not only land-use type but also topography is important for the spatial distributlon of temperature because of the cold airflow from adjacet hills. The horizontal temperature profile by mobile measurement is also related to land-use type and to the distance from the park borders. There is a magnitude of $1^{\circ}C$ temperture difference over a distance of 200m and $3~4^{\circ}C$ over a distance of 400m from the park borders.

Since the rapid development of information age and information technology might be considered to cause environmental problems, Green IT is perceived as core technology for low carbon green growth and the minimum waste of electricity. In this vein, Green IT is becoming new paradigm of focusing on natural environment. This study examines current various IT required for green growth, and studies various methods for diminution of carbon discharge in Korea and other countries. Especially, it focuses on the diminution effect of carbon discharge by using Green PC, and compares the difference of voltage, voltaic current, and the use of electricity between Normal PC and Green PC by using HPM-300A, and measures carbon discharge of Normal PC and Green PC. The result shows that the diminution effect of $CO_2$ discharge of Green PC is amount to 11.5Kg per year, and the effect of green growth is up to the conservation of 2 or 3 pine trees.

Bus signal priority is a name for various techniques to speed up bus public transport services at intersections with traffic signals. In this study propose methodology to optimize signal times for Early green, Green extension out of the active bus signal priority using deterministic delay model in isolated intersection on median bus lane. Fluctuation is found in the vehicle delay and person delay in the event that using this methodology redistributed to green time and checking slack green time is correct value by sensitivity analysis. As a result of the study, car delay is increased a little and person delay is decreased. As a result of slack green time sensitivity, delay is not much in it if variation of slack green time under 30%. But this methodology effectiveness is under claimed capacity if variation of slack green time over 30%.
