In this study, graphic environment for system monitoring is designed that can efficiently manage monitoring data. And also system informations are inplemented to database for reliability and a utility management software is developed to monitor systems on graphic environment and RDBMS (Relational DataBase Management System). Specially, system status informations are presented in the forms of animation, graph, value, icon, and voice message. Status data and general basic informations of system can be all the times updated and indexly reported on database.

실시간 운영체제를 이용하는데 있어서 GUI(Graphic User Interface)는 실시간 운영체제를 이용한 제품을 사용하는 사람들에게 제품에 대한 편한 환경을 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 실시간 운영체제(Real Time Operating System)상에서 GUI를 구현하는데 있어서 중요한 부분들을 고려하고, 실시간 운영체제에 알맞은 환경을 구축하기 위한 Graphic User Interface를 설계하였다.

Experiencing the vortex of postmodernism, modern graphic design has evolved radically from simple aesthetically-motivated style following modernism. Concurrently, Typography has transmuted into International Typography Style from Grid Standard, which was an outcome of modernism. Edward Fella is one of the most internationally prestigious figures practicing the contemporary graphic design style. He is currently pursuing his career as an educator by teaching graphic design and typography at Cal Arts. For a long time, Fella has devoted himself to yielding products of de-constructive presentations and constructing design identity based on aesthetics. This paper looks into aesthetic criteria which has affected modern graphic design, referring to graphism of Fella, an international graphic design and typography educator whose theoretical origins lie in French modern philosophy and aesthetics. Fella has created graphic works by making use of graphic motives residing in the unconscious and the subconscious. Therefore, his graphic style is viewed and investigated as de-constructive aesthetics in the paper. Drifting around toward the end of postmodernism, the present day defines itself as the age free of formality approaching uncertain future; however, Fella's typography graphically guides us to understand comprehensively not only how international graphic design flows from the present to the future, but its realizations in design works.

Shince the introduction of machine methods into industry a problem has existed which has never been adequately solved. .... That is to say, there is no difference between the essential qualities of Machine art and abstract art, which is the main style of fine arts in the present day. This problem has been discussed by John Ruskin, William Morris, Herbert Read. In this study, I discussed the artistic value in the modern graphic arts from the standpoint of Herbert Read on the machine art. According to the above-mentioned discussings, we can come to the conclusion as follows 1) The machine art lie at the root of abstract art, and whenever the final product of machine is designed or determined by anyone sensitive to formal values, that product can and does become an abstract work of art in the subtler sense of the term. 2) We must recognize that graphic design is a function of the abstract artist, and the abstract artist must be given a place in the graphic arts in which be is not already established, and his decision on all questions of design must be final. 3) Therefore, the graphic designer must have therough knowledge of graphic arts technology in order to give the artistic value to the objects of machine production.

This study takes a look at diverse artistic strategies is taking as a graphic novel of participation. Pascal Croci has used and combined the forms to convey the message he want as a writer of an inclusive graphic novel, image-text. It is linked with an intrinsic to the graphic novel as well as tradition of realism in a wide variety of genres. This study takes a brief look at the realism art in each genre and confirms in relation to the artistic characteristics of intrinsic to the graphic novel is taking as a graphic novel of participation. is consists of the process of covering a case and the form of a broadcasting report and a fictional format emphasizes the objectivity in contents to highlight the journalistic characteristics of the general narrative. uses various artistic languages of realism. Comparison and Convergence of the Blank Space in Chinese and Japanese Graphic Design This study discusses the philosophical foundation in Chinese and Japanese aesthetics. Most of the contemporary graphic designs in China lack influence or individual philosophy on aesthetics. In analyzing and comparing the use of blank-leaving in graphic design works showed that the traditional artistic sense of the blanks can enrich the cultural connotations of design and raise the artistic creation of the works. This paper used "convergence" to create a new approach on Chinese contemporary graphic design, especially on poster design. The application of blank-leaving in the graphic design has positive impact in the creation of excellent graphic design works that provide references and inspiration to develop a new blank on my own design.

Mobile devices is getting to include more functions according to the demand of digital convergence. Applications based on 3D graphic calculation such as 3D games and navigation are one of the functions. 3D graphic calculation requires heavy calculation. Therefore, we need dedicated 3D graphic hardware unit with high performance. 3D graphic calculation needs a lot of complicated floating-point arithmetic operation. However, most of current mobile 3D graphics processors do not have efficient architecture for mobile devices because they are based on those for conventional computer systems. In this paper, we propose arithmetic units for special functions of lighting operation of 3D graphics. Transcendental arithmetic units are designed using approximation of logarithm function. Special function units for lighting operation such as reciprocal, square root, reciprocal of square root, and power can be obtained. The proposed arithmetic unit has lower error rate and smaller silicon area than conventional arithmetic architecture.

This paper deals with the development of expert system in distribution system which combined with graphic user interface. The proposed expert system can recognize and adjust to the system change, and includes the rule bases of security monitoring. Also it provides load transfer algorithm for efficient load distribution. The graphic user environment for expert system is implemented in the mouse-oriented user interface with overlapped window functions and pull-down menus. Therefore, the developed graphic integrated expert system can afford to assist system operators very conveniently through the various graphic function in proposing an optimal plan of load transfer for fault restoration and outage schedule.

A novel evaluation method is investigated for UV curing process in printing system. The method is based on the measurement of conducivity change by the photopolymerization of UV curable inks and paints. It is found that the decrease of conductivity is caused by photopolymerization of epoxy monomer during UV curing process of ink film and the by the rate of UV curing. It is possible to make the dynamical evaluation the curing rate of UV curable ink in curing process by this method.
