Background: Ginsenoside Rg1 has been shown to clear senescence-associated beta-galactosidase (SA-${\beta}$-gal) in cultured cells. It remains unknown whether Rg1 can influence SA-${\beta}$-gal in exercising human skeletal muscle. Methods: To examine SA-${\beta}$-gal change, 12 young men (age $21{\pm}0.2years$) were enrolled in a randomized double-blind placebo controlled crossover study, under two occasions: placebo (PLA) and Rg1 (5 mg) supplementations 1 h prior to a high-intensity cycling (70% $VO_{2max}$). Muscle samples were collected by multiple biopsies before and after cycling exercise (0 h and 3 h). To avoid potential effect of muscle biopsy on performance assessment, cycling time to exhaustion test (80% $VO_{2max}$) was conducted on another 12 participants (age $23{\pm}0.5years$) with the same experimental design. Results: No changes of SA-${\beta}$-gal were observed after cycling in the PLA trial. On the contrary, nine of the 12 participants showed complete elimination of SA-${\beta}$-gal in exercised muscle after cycling in the Rg1 trial (p < 0.05). Increases in apoptotic DNA fragmentation (PLA: +87% vs. Rg1: +133%, p < 0.05) and $CD68^+$ (PLA:+78% vs. Rg1:+121%, p = 0.17) occurred immediately after cycling in both trials. During the 3-h recovery, reverses in apoptotic nuclei content (PLA:+5% vs. Rg1 -32%, p < 0.01) and increases in inducible nitrate oxide synthase and interleukin 6 mRNA levels of exercised muscle were observed only in the Rg1 trial (p < 0.01). Conclusion: Rg1 supplementation effectively eliminates senescent cells in exercising human skeletal muscle and improves high-intensity endurance performance.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to provide basic data on the continuous management and institutional measures in the future by understanding the research trends of patient safety in healthcare field. Methods:The data were extracted from 2011-2016 KoreaMed, KMBase, KISS, NDSL and KISTI. Data were analysis by frequency analysis using the SPSS 14.0 program. Results: 87.0% of the studies were quantitative studies. As for the method of sampling, 'No use' was the highest at 56.5%. Most of the participants in the study were 'nurses' (50.7%). 19 hospitals (35.8%) were the most common. The subjects of the study consisted of 35 (51.5%) patients' safety culture (awareness) and 20 (29.4%) 'safety nursing activities'. Conclusions: Patient safety and patient safety should be maintained. Further, a mature patient safety culture should be settled through cooperation management among medical staff.
Purpose: This study was to review the previous studies on the 'Willingness to Pay (WTP)' for healthcare services and suggest future implications for nursing research. Methods: Using the scoping review method, we used RISS, KISS, KMbase, Koreamed, PubMed, EMbase, CINAHL as searching engines. According to the selection and exclusion criteria, 40 appropriate studies were selected and analyzed. Results: 24 studies were categorized into medical service field among medical, public health, and nursing service fields. A total of 16 studies were related to healthcare system (policies), 13 studies were to the healthcare intervention, and 11 studies were categorized into the health management. Most of the methods for eliciting WTP (70%) were about a contingent valuation method (CVM), and the use of double bounded dichotomous choice (DBDC) tended to increase. In the nursing field, five WTP studies were identified: two studies published in the early years of 2000, which were conducted on hospital-based home health visit services. Recent studies were mostly about counseling and education by advanced practice nurses (APNs). Conclusion: WTP studies on healthcare services were largely published from the medical fields and health policy areas with the CVM method. In the field of nursing, studies have been conducted on the subject of limited service areas. More active exploration of research topics is required, particularly under the current policy setting, where discussion of the public health insurance fee for nursing practice is essential.

Background: Increasing knowledge and awareness of cancer screening significantly influence health promotion behavior which could markedly reduce incidence rates. In many countries, health care providers are the principal source of information concerning cancer screening. This study was carried out to assess the level of knowledge concerning cancer screening among medical students, house officers and residents and to explore their attitude towards cancer screening practices. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in Kasr Al Ainy Medical School at Cairo University in Egypt, with 300 undergraduate medical students and 150 postgraduates (interns and residents) enrolled. A pre-tested self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from the study participants regarding personal and education-related information, knowledge about cancer screening and its sources, and attitude towards cancer screening. Results: More than 64% of participants had knowledge scores of ${\leq}10$ points (out of 24). The total knowledge score (out of 6 points) for breast cancer screening increased from $1.9{\pm}1.0$ to $2.3{\pm}1.2$ and $2.4{\pm}1.1$ for $4^{th}$, $5^{th}$ and $6^{th}$ year respectively, interns showed the highest score of $2.6{\pm}1.1$, P= 0.001. Year of enrollment at medical school was a significant positive predictor of acquiring knowledge about cancer screening (post graduate vs. undergraduate students) (OR= 1.30, C.I =1.01-1.63), lack of or none receiving of orientation/training about cancer screening was the sole negative significant predictor for proper knowledge about cancer screening (OR=0.50, C.I=0.31-0.82). Over 92% of students agreed that they had insufficient knowledge about cancer screening, 88.2% appraised the need to have enough knowledge in order to direct/advice patients, relatives and friends, and 93.7% required that the faculty should emphasize the importance of cancer screening in the delivered curricula at medical school. Conclusions: A relatively low to moderate level of knowledge about cancer screening was detected among the selected medical students regardless of their year of enrollment at medical school or their graduation status, which may implicate a negative impact on early cancer detection especially in a low resource country like Egypt.
In this paper, the artificial intelligence (AI) technology used in the medical image analysis field was analyzed through a literature review. Literature searches were conducted on PubMed, ResearchGate, Google and Cochrane Review using the key word. Through literature search, 114 abstracts were searched, and 98 abstracts were reviewed, excluding 16 duplicates. In the reviewed literature, AI is applied in classification, localization, disease detection, disease segmentation, and fit degree of registration images. In machine learning (ML), prior feature extraction and inputting the extracted feature values into the neural network have disappeared. Instead, it appears that the neural network is changing to a deep learning (DL) method with multiple hidden layers. The reason is thought to be that feature extraction is processed in the DL process due to the increase in the amount of memory of the computer, the improvement of the calculation speed, and the construction of big data. In order to apply the analysis of medical images using AI to medical care, the role of physicians is important. Physicians must be able to interpret and analyze the predictions of AI algorithms. Additional medical education and professional development for existing physicians is needed to understand AI. Also, it seems that a revised curriculum for learners in medical school is needed.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the plantar foot pressure of skilled and unskilled players during a free throw. The experiment performed here in measured the movement route of the mean foot pressure, maximum foot pressure, and center of pressure in four event zones (ready, maximum knee flexion, release event, and maximum knee extension) for both groups while they were wearing the plantar foot pressure measurement equipment under identical conditions. The major findings are as follows. When getting ready (RD) during a free throw, the skilled player group had higher mean and maximum foot pressures, although neither variable showed significant differences statistically. For the maximum knee flexion (MF) during a free throw, the skilled player group had higher mean and maximum foot pressures, but only the mean foot pressure significantly differed statistically. For the release event (RE) during a free throw, the unskilled player group had higher mean and maximum foot pressures, but only the mean foot pressure significantly differed statistically. During the maximum knee extension (ME) of a free throw, the unskilled player group had a higher mean foot pressure, and the skilled player group had a higher maximum foot pressure. No significant correlation was found between the two groups. For the skilled player group, movement towards the center of pressure showed a stable form that moved from the rear to the front and from side to side during a free throw. For the unskilled player group, movement towards the center of pressure was unstable, which made it impossible to move from the rear to the front and from left to right.

This study examined how the facility satisfaction, anxiety, self-esteem, stress, and depression of the elderly in care facilities affect their life satisfaction. The objects of the study were 271 elderly in 8 care facilities located in Seoul and associated areas. The results of a questionnaire, which was carried out from the 10th March to 25th August 2013, were analyzed. For data analysis, a t-test, one-way variance analysis, correlation analysis, and proof analysis on the SPSSWIN 18.0 program was conducted at the significance level of 5%. The analysis revealed the following. First, there were differences in the life satisfaction depending on age, sex, education level, and marital status. Second, life satisfaction was related to service satisfaction, medical service satisfaction, facility environment satisfaction, and self-esteem. Third, life satisfaction was higher if self-esteem, service satisfaction and facility environment satisfaction were higher, and if the family relationship stress was lower. Overall, self-esteem, service satisfaction, and facility environment satisfaction of the admitted elderly were positive influential factors of life satisfaction.
This study is for providing fundamental data of sport biomechanics in GRF & plantar pressure of stepping foot of skilled & unskilled players' at the soccer instep shooting moments. Wearing Pedar-x of Novel, the study has drawn the following conclusion after measuring and analyzing the impact on the GRF and plantar pressure of stepping foot at the instep shooting moments. First, maximum vertical GRF showed higher in the skilled group than in the unskilled group. The results showed significantly different. This study reached the conclusion that the players in the skilled group performed faster and stronger stepping foot motions that the ones in the unskilled(p<.01). Second, since the plantar pressure of the skilled group appeared significantly higher than that of the unskilled, it has brought us to the conclusion that the skilled group performed faster and stronger stepping foot motions than the unskilled group (p<.05). Third, at the moment of instep kicking, the skilled group's average maximum plantar foot pressure of stepping foot was higher than the unskilled. Though the difference was not statistically significant, it can be concluded that the skilled group performed faster and stronger stepping foot motions than the unskilled group(p>.05). Fourth, for the COP moving route of stepping foot while instep kicking, the skilled people performed accurate and strong shooting motions directly toward the target direction with stable postures, no matter how it's left, right, front or back.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the associations between job stress, social support, and nursing professionalism among nurses taking postgraduate courses, and to explore the factors influencing their nursing professionalism. Methods: The participants were 121 nurses who were enrolled in graduate school master's or doctoral programs in Korea. Data were collected from June 30 to August 31, 2021, using an internet-based self-report questionnaire. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using the IBM SPSS 23.0 program. Results: The mean scores of job stress, social support, and nursing professionalism among the participants were 2.47 out of 4, 4.06 out of 5, and 3.47 out of 5, respectively. There were statistically significant differences in nursing professionalism among the participants according to the degree program (F=-2.76, p=.007) and the length of nursing career (F=4.35, p=.015). Their nursing professionalism showed a positive correlation with social support (r=.45, p<.001) and a negative correlation with job stress (r=-.43, p<.001). As a result of the multiple regression analysis, factors influencing nursing professionalism of the participants were found to be job stress (β=-.28, p=.003), social support (β=.23, p=.015), and the length of nursing career (β=.19, p=.018). The explanatory power of the model was 28.0% (F=12.62, p<.001). Conclusion: The present study suggests that organized efforts are needed to alleviate job stress and to increase social support for nurses in postgraduate courses in order to ultimately improve their nursing professionalism.
The education of radiologic technology began in the regular institute of higher education in Korea in 1963. Up to now from then, our education to bring up the radiologic technologists has developed greatly in quality and quantity, and now departments of radio-technology are founded in the 16 junior colleges in March, 1995. This study was done to verify the necessity and propriety to reform the education system of radiologic technology which was run as two or three year system of college curriculum for 32 years since 1963, and to search for the method to reform in the future. We got the following results from this research. 1. In the survey, on the desirable education year for radiologic technologists, 63.9 % of professors of department of radio-technology and 63.0 % of radiologic technologists chose the 4 year system, 27.9 % of professors and 34.6 % of radiologic technologists chose the 4 year system added to graduate school. 2. In the survey, on the future development of radiologic equipments and technique, 67.2 % of professors of department of radiologic technology and 86.4 % of radiologic technologists have a view of "revolutional development". Also, on the future tasks or roles of radiologic technologists 95.1% of professors and 94.9% of radiologic technologists have a view that "They will increase". 3. On the necessity of extension of education year to 4 years from 3 years, the factor is that development of medical technique and machinery and tools, advance of qualification of radiologic technologists, enlargement and specialization of the business of the radiologic technologists, ballance of education year with other medical sciences, international competitive power and cooperation of radiologic technology, and education continuation of the graduates of department of radiologic technology. 4. They suggested that in the 4 year curriculum of department of radiologic technology, clinical medicine, quality control of radiation and radiologic equipment, related subjects to the radiologic application and computer application should be enforced and clinical practice should be extended more. 5. On the device to found the 4 year college curriculum of radiologic technology, they suggested that first, 4 year curriculum should be founded through the variety of educational year, secondly, department of radiologic technology should be founded in the 4 year health sciences college, thirdly, educational continuation of the radiologic technologists should be systematized on the basis of life-long education.
