주파수 의존 접지계의 전자파 스캐터링 현상의 해석 (Analysis of Electromagnetic Scattering Phenomena in Frequency Dependent Grounding Systems)

  • This paper includes the analysis and formulation of a new model for studying scattering from wire meshes that is more efficient and simpler to apply than the previous methods. In the new method, the conjugate gradient method is employed to improve each previous iterative and the fast Fourier transform (FFT) technique is utilized. A numerical computation of mesh scattering algorithm has been carried out in the Spectral Domain. A study on the electromagnetic properties such as reflection coefficients, induced currents and aperture fields has been presented and compared with data calculated by other methods to support the validity of the algorithm.

Axial Wall Slits Effect on the Helical Flow in the Gap between two Concentric Cylinders

  • The helical flow regime was investigated by using DPIV when the rotating Reynolds number is small. The wall slits were azimuthally located along the inner wall of outer cylinder and the slits number of each model was 9 and 18, another plain wall model was also studied for comparison purpose. The helical vortex flow regime can be observed in all the three models. The negative temperature gradients determine the direction of the rotation and movement of the helical vortex. But the helical wavy vortex flow can only be found in the plane and 9-slit models. And the result showed that the existence of slit wall accelerated the transition process.

  • The separation of scintillation phenomena concurrent with rain attenuation phenomena can be accomplished by filtering. Based on the analysis of satellite signal fading during rain, scintillation and rain attenuation phenomena are examined and extracting from raw data by using adaptive IIR high-pass filter and adaptive IIR low-pass filter. Adaptive IIR filter are designed by using the algorithm of Least Mean p-Power (LMP) Error Criterion which have been modified by Quantizing Gradient technique.   • This paper handles synthesis and investigation of a neural network guidance law based on pursuit-evasion games. This work considers two-dimensional pursuit-evasion games solved by using the gradient method. The procedure of developing a guidance law from the game-optimal solutions is deeply examined, and important features of the neural network guidance are investigated. The proposed neural network guidance law takes the range, range rate, line-of-sight rate, and heading error as its input variables.   • In variable structure control algorithms, The control law used to realized the desired sliding mode dynamics is discontinuous on the switching manifold. However, due to imperfections in switching, such as time delays, the system trajectory chatters instead of sliding along the switching manifold. This chattering is undesirable because it may excite unmodeled high frequency dynamics in the physical system. In this paper, to overcome this drawback a self-organizing fuzzy sliding mode control algorithm using gradient descent method is proposed. The proposed method has the characteristics which are viewed in conventional VSC, e.g. insensitivity to a class of disturbance, parameter variations and uncertainties ill the sliding mode. To demonstrate its performance, the proposed control algorithm is applied to an inverted pendulum system. The results show that both alleviation of chattering and performance are achieved.

  • An efficient algorithm for planning near-optimum trajectory of manipulators is proposed. The algorithm is divided into two stages. The first one is the optimization of time trajectory with given spatial path. And the second one is the optimization of the spatial path itself. To consider the second problem, the manipulator dynamics is represented using the path parameter "s", then a differential equation corresponding to the dynamics is solved as two point boundary value problem.   • Fractal manufacturing system (FrMS) distinguishes itself from other manufacturing systems by the fact that there is a fractal repeated at every scale. A fractal is a volatile organization which consists of goal-oriented agents referred to as AIR-units (autonomous and intelligent resource units). AIR-units unrestrictedly reconfigure fractals in accordance with their own goals. Their goals can be dynamically changed along with the environmental status. Since goals of AIR-units are represented as fuzzy models, an AIR-unit itself is a fuzzy logic controller. This paper presents a goal regulation mechanism in the FrMS. In particular, a reinforcement learning method is adopted as a regulating mechanism of the fuzzy goal model, which uses only weak reinforcement signal. Goal regulation is achieved by building a feedforward neural network to estimate compatibility level of current goals, which can then adaptively improve compatibility by using the gradient descent method. Goal-oriented features of AIR-units are also presented.

Shearing Conditions on the Interface of a Spherical Water Drop Sinking in Silicone Oil

  • This paper deals with the experiment to obtain quantitative information about conditions of the interface between a water drop and surrounding oil. Velocity distributions in very close region of the interface are measured by introducing a new illumination technique and a telecentric lens. It enables precise measurements of velocity distributions in the close region to the interface. Although the measured velocity distributions exhibit strong influence from the solid wall of an experimental tube, the coincidence of inner and outside velocities on the interface is clearly confirmed for the clean interface. The shearing stresses on the interface, which are proportional to the velocity gradient normal to the interface, clearly show conditions of contaminated interface, which can be divided into two parts. From front stagnation point to somewhere near a separation point, the distribution of shearing stresses is well coincide with that of the Hadamard's analytical solution, while the distribution on the latter part of the interface sows quite different feature, which is supposed to be strongly influenced by contamination of the surface.

  • Experimental results for pressure gradient of HCs refrigerants R-290. R-600a. R-1270 and HCFC refrigerant R-22 during condensing inside horizontal double pipe heat exchangers are presented. The test sections which have the tube inner diameter of 10.98mm. and the tube inner diameter of 8mm are used for this investigation. Hydrocarbon refrigerants have higher pressure drop than R-22 in both test sections with the diameters of 12.70mm and 9.52mm. Pressure drop increased with the increase of the mass flux. These results form the investigation can be used in the design of heat transfer exchanger using hydrocarbons as the refrigerant for the air-conditioning systems
