  • Three types of near infrared spectrometer, a photo diode array type, a dispersive type and a FT type, were evaluated and compared the systematic difference in blood glucose measurement. The fundamental study was performed by adding glucose to buffer solution and bovine blood as the preceding study of non-invasive blood glucose. Spectra were collected using a 1.0 mm optical pathlength quartz cell by transmittance method. (omitted)

수종의 한약재가 Streptozotocin으로 유발된 고혈당 생쥐에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Several Herbal Medicine Concentrated Solution on the Hyperglycemic Mice Induced with Streptozotocin)

  • Objective : This study has been carried out to understand the effect of several herbal medicine concentrated solution on the hyperglycemic mice Induced with streptozotocin(STZ). Methods : The 60 mg/kg of STZ injection into mice twice by 24 h interval and then 120 mg/kg of STZ injection again 3 days after the earlier injection. Control group was subjected to natural recovery, however, treated groups were fed 0.2 ml of several herbal medicine-concentrated solution (PA (x2, several herbal medicine-concentrated solution 1 group); PB (x4 several herbal medicine-concentrated solution 2 group) daily for 6 weeks. Result : The weight of PA was higher than that of control, but weight of PB was lower than control. The blood level of control increased continuously, reaching to 350mg/dL after 6 weeks, however, PA and PB showed a fast reduction of blood glucose. In blood glucose tolerance test, PA and PB showed better resistance than control. The GOT level in significantly(p<0.05) decreased in PA and PB compared with control group. The BUN and creatinine levels are significantly(p<0.01) decreased in PA compared with control group. Feeding of several herbal medicine-concentrated solution in a concentration of PA had an efficient effect on regeneration or recovery of Langerhans islet and ${\beta}-cell$ damaged by STZ. More Langerhans islet and high insulin-immunohistochemical resistance were observed in PA compared with control, but they were higher in PB than in PA. The number of Langerhans islet ${\beta}-cell$ and Langerhans islet. Conclusions : The result from the six weeks of observation demonstrates that the several herbal medicine concentrated solution have a positive effect of lowering the level of blood sugar and they increased insulin concentration. They have an effect for recovery of pancreas tissue and recovery of kidney, liver function from a diabetes mellitus.

시차 굴절률 측정에 의한 실시간 글루코오스 모니터링 (Real-time Monitoring of Glucose Using a Differential Refractive Index Detector)

  • A differential refractive index detector was used for monitoring glucose contents in textile processing solutions. The sensitivity of the device was high enough to measure 0.05% aqueous glucose solution that could not be measured by normal refractive index measurement. The device was set to monitor glucose concentration continuously in real time by measuring differential refractive index and calibrated by standard glucose solutions in a range of 0.1 to 1.0%. The possibility of industrial application of the device was demonstrated by real-time monitoring of glucose concentration in textile processing solutions such as desizing bath and cellulase treatment bath. Both of solutions contained glucose as a major degraded product. The device would be able to control the weight loss of cellulosic fiber during cellulase treatment since the amount of degraded products in a processing bath is proportional to its weight loss.

  • L. brevis, L. fermentum과 L. plantarum의 혼합젖산균을 사용하여 소다크랙커의 스폰지 발효과정 중에 밀가루와 당 농도가 미치는 양향을 살펴보았다. 밀가루 전분이 혼합젖산균에 의하여 포도당으로 전환되어 이용되므로 포도당을 밀가루 용액내에 첨가하여 실험을 수행하였다. 포도당 첨가할 경우 생성되는 총적정산도(TTA; total titrable acid)가 포도당을 첨가하지 않은 경우에 비하여 적게 증가하였고, pH 감소의 폭도 적었다. 이는 첨가된 포도당이 세포성장을 촉진시키고, 유기산의 생성을 억제하는 것으로 생각된다. 또한, 소다크랙커의 스폰지 발효과정 중에서 밀가루 농도가 증가할수록 생산되는 총적정산도는 증가되고 pH는 감소되었다.

  • In the case of immobilizing of glucose oxidase into polypyrrole (PPy) using electrosynthesis, the glucose oxidise (GOx) forms a coordinate bond with the polymers backbone. However, because of intrinsic insulation and net-chain of the enzyme, the charge transfer and mass transport are obstructed during the film growth. Therefore, the film growth is dull. We synthesized enzyme electrodes by electropolymerization added some organic solvent, such as ethanol and tetrahydrofuran (THF). The formative seeds of film growth was delayed by adding ethanol. The delay was induced by radical transfer between ethanol and pyrrole monomer. The radical transfer reactions shared the contribution of dopants between electrolyte anion and GOx polyanion. This led to increase amount of immobilized the enzyme in PPy. For the UV absorption spectra of synthetic solution before synthesis and after, in the case of ethanol added, the optical density was slightly decreased for the GOx peaks. It suggests amount of GOx in the solution was decreased and amount of GOx in the film was increased.

  • 본 연구는 tagatose 등 당의 종류와 그 몰농도가 Maillard 갈변반응에 끼치는 영향을 살펴보고자 수행되었다. 당의 영향을 연구하기 위해 0.2M의 tagatose, glucose, fructose, sucrose, xylose 수용액과 0.2M glycine 수용액을 혼합한 모델용액을 제조하여 $100^{\circ}C$에서 5시간동안 가열하였다. Tagatose 몰농도의 영향을 연구하기 위해 glycine 농도를 0.2M로 고정시키고 tagatose의 농도를 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 0.8M로 변화시킨 후 $100^{\circ}C$에서 5시간동안 가열하였으며, glycine 몰농도의 영향을 연구하기 위해 tagatose 농도를 0.2M로 고정시키고 glycine의 농도를 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 0.8 M로 변화시킨 후 $100^{\circ}C$에서 5시간동안 가열하였다 Maillard 갈변반응은 tagatose가 가장 빨랐고 그 다음 xylose, fructose, glucose, sucrose의 순서를 보였다. Tagatose나 glycine 모두 몰농도가 증가하면 갈변이 증가하였으나 tagatose를 변화시킨 경우 총고형물 함량이 더 높아 갈변이 더 촉진되었다.

μFIA 바이오 센서를 이용한 포도당 농도 측정 (Measurement of Glucose Concentration Using a μFIA Biosensor)

  • A microdialysis coupled flow injection amperometric biosensor was calibrated to measure the concentration of glucose using 7 standard samples from 10ml to 70ml of glucose solution. The output of the sensor increased linearly with an increase in the glucose concentration with an $R^2$ correlation of 0.99. The amperometric biosensor was then applied to measure the. glucose concentration of 2 commercial samples(Orange and Pineapple juice) and the results compared with HPLC. Around 12% error was observed in glucose concentration measurements of the samples analyzed. The sensor has potential in rapid measurement once the calibration is done. Potential for on-line sensing is also discussed.

동결건조 로얄제리의 세립가공 특성 (Fine Granulation Characteristics of Freeze-Dried Royal Jelly)

  • 동결건조 로얄제리를 이용하여 세립차를 제조하고자 가공특성을 조사하였다. 동결건조 로얄제리를 이용하여 총당에 대한 포도당 함량($X_1$, 0~100%), 에탄올 농도($X_2$, 75~95%) 및 에탄올 용액 분무량($X_3$, 8~12%)의 비율로 혼합하여 세립형성에 따른 수율, 교반에 의한 분쇄율 및 관능적 특성의 최적조건을 반응표면분석을 통하여 조사하였다. 최대 수율은 총당에 대한 포도당 함량 59.30%, 알콜 농도 88,64% 및 알콜 용액 분무량 11.83%일 때 89.99%로 높게 나타내었다. 교반에 의한 최소 분쇄율은 총당에 대한 포도당 함량 22.35%, 알콜 농도 77.21% 및 알콜 용액 분무량 10.59%에서 0.82%로 낮게 나타내었다. 전반적인 기호도에 대한 최대 관능평점은 총당에 대한 포도당 함량 31.81%, 알콜 농도 93.96% 및 알콜 용액 분무량 10.51%에서 7.45로 나타났다.

However, adding tetrahydrofuran (THF), the radical transfer is more brisk, resulting in short chained polymer. Therefore, the doping level is lowered and then amount of immobilized of enzyme is decreased. For the UV absorption spectra of synthetic solution before synthesis and after, in the case of ethanol added, the optical density was slightly decreased for the GOx peaks. It suggests amount of GOx in the solution was decreased and amount of GOx in the film was increased. We established qualitatively that amount of immobilization can be improved by adding a little ethanol in the synthetic solution. It is due to radical transfer reaction. The radical transfer shares the contribution of dopant between small and fast electrolyte anion and big and slow GOx polyanion.

생전분의 고농도 무증자당화법을 도입한 새로운 High Fructose Corn Syrup 제조공정 (An Innovative Process for High Fructose Corn Syrup Production Coupled with Direct Saccharification of Raw Corn Starch in a Bioattritor)

  • 분쇄마찰매체함유 불균일상 효소반응계를 활용한 생전분의 무증자당화법은 고농도, 고순도의 포도당을 고효율로 직접 얻을 수 있는 새로운 당화법으로 이를 high fructose corn syrup(HFCS) 제조공정에 응용코져 연구하였다. 400g/$\ell$ 생전분을 24시간 무증자당화시켜 이성화반응에 적합한 고농도인 398g/$\ell$와 고순조인 98 포도당 용액을 농축과정을 거치지 않고 직접 얻을 수 있었다. 전분에 대한 포도당수율은 0.90으로, 미반응 잔유전분은 쉽게 원심분리되었으며, 재당화도 용이하였다. 또한 무증자당화액은 단백질성 변성물, 이온 등 불순물의 함량이 매우 적어, 이성화 반응 전단계인 분리 정제과정을 단순화할 수 있었다. 생성된 당용액의 고정화 포도당 이성화효소 기질로서의 적합성을 검토하여 우수한 결과를 얻었다. 생전분 직접당화법을 도입한 새로운 HFCS 제조공정은 액화/당화공정을 경유하는 기존의 공정에 비하여 여러가지 장점이 있어 산업적 활용이 기대되며, 이를 위한 후속연구가 요망된다.
