Road safety audit is the preventive enhancement strategy for safety. : it gets rid of beforehand the potential factor of a traffic accident in the stage of road planning and design and it evaluates the appropriation for road geometric structure or safety facility to prevent traffic accident in the stage of operation after the construction. Since this strategy is introduced to our country in the early 2000s, various projects have been processed and it was legislated recently. And now, the evaluation of past project for its continuation is needed. Therefore, in this study the evaluation of road safety audit on existing freeway is performed. The spatial extent of this study is Yong-dong line on which the safety treatment was executed in 2005 and 2006. And, the temporal range of this study is each 2-year of before and after from 2005 and 2006. The empirical bayes method of observational evaluation studies is applied to analyze. As a result, there is an effect of improvement on most of treated sections. But there is ineffective or negligible on some sections. Compared with the detail of treatment on each section, the effect of multiple or various treatments is good for that section. On the other hand, the section on which effect doesn't appear is the result of single or unimportant treatments. Throughout these results, the concrete analysis can be performed and the countermeasures designed for the section on which effect doesn't appear. Also it is used as reference to the future plan and direction of road safety audit on existing freeway.
Narrative has broad domains. So it is related to the everything man faces in his daily life and also performed in various modes. Narrative is revealed through all media including a character, which is also applied to plastic art. And narrative objects formed beyond the differences in media aid forms of expression are commonly based on a language. The study on such objects which created a new conceit of narratology can be said to be a spiritual trend by which to understand the world and man from the viewpoint of a 'story'. Plastic art took high interest in narrative in the same period as the rise of postmodernist art in the latter half of the 20th century, which was also applied to sculpture. The researcher, therefore, investigated through the history of sculpture in the 20th century the process in which narrative was denied under the value system of modernism and reappeared with the quickening of postmodernism. And as a result this period could be briefly characterized by 'return to figure' and 'reappearance of narrative'. The is, such flow means that late sculpture converted its center of interest from simple geometric abstract forms to irregular, figurative images. The researcher chose as the subject of his study the work of Louise Bourgeois, who was judged to have performed narrative positively and successfully among a great number of performed narrative positively and successfully among a great number of postmodernist sculptors who adopted it as their own strategy of expression. The narrative in her works are characterized by introspection questioning one's own trauma. It has independent domain and characteristics and clearly reveals narrative and content-centered characteristics, which are commonly discovered in postmodernist sculpture. The researcher could more concretely and definitely understand the characteristics of narrative through figurative images by analyzing the sample work. The researcher wanted to call your attention to the fact that the sculpture in the late 20th century contained narrative commonly and uniformly despite being characterized by various expressions and modes. And the focused on highlighting the fact that the narrative was more effectively revealed through figurative images of human body and simultaneously analyzing the formalizing process and structure for narrative. Besides he wanted to argue that the position of narrative defining the characteristics of sculpture should be valued more justly. Also, such acceptance of narrative, which is discovered in the sculpture, will have to be understood as the characteristics of the period reflecting the cultural aspect of the present time.

The terrestrial phetogrammetry has the relative convenience of selecting the site of photo station in contrast with the aerial photogrammetry, and the flexibility in accuracy prediction of object point positioning. So it has the advantage in designing optimum photo taking system which can fulfill the required accuracy. For the convergent photos which are frequently used for the monitoring of cultural assets and ground facilities, almost all of the traditional studies for the optimum photo condition, both in theoretical or experimental, are basically depend on the symmetrical configuration at the normal direction to the center of the object. However, in many cases the surroundings of the object do not allow the normal photo direction or sufficient convergent angle, even more the object features are not always be seen as one panel like planar. In this paper, the accuracy variation of convergent photos for the multi-planar objects, which are composed by some orthogonal planes, are investigated to establish the optimum photo condition. The results of the accuracy analysis for the photo direction, convergent angle, as well as the object feature are expected to be utilized in system design of geometric configuration of convergent photos, which are adequate for the accurate monitoring of the objects, such as culural assets, facilities, precision instruments, deformation surveying, etc.

Recently, an optics-based concentrator for solar concentration has been a key issue in development of photovoltaic systems. In the present study, a new, simple, easily producible planar concentrator based on a light guide system is proposed. In this device, solar light is concentrated by microprism optical patterns guiding the light, mainly through total reflection and refraction. The main design variables of the concentrator are the geometric concentration ratio ($R_c$) and the ${\Theta}_1$ and ${\Theta}_2$ of the microprism pattern. Ray tracing was simulated using commercial software, SPEOS, and the optical efficiencies of the light guide solar concentrator were predicted in each case. The predicted maximum optical efficiencies are 65.60%, 54.78%, and 46.78%, respectively, for $R_c$ values of 4, 5, and 6. The variation of the optical efficiencies according to ${\Theta}_1$, ${\Theta}_2$, and the incline angle of the incident light were predicted.

For a seismic design or performance evaluation of a structure, an experimental investigation on a scale model of the structure or numerical analysis based on the finite element model is considered. Regarding the numerical analysis, a three-dimensional finite element analysis is performed if a high accuracy of the results is required, while a sensitivity or fragility analysis which uses huge seismic ground motions leads to the use of a lumped-mass stick model. The conventional modeling technique to build the lumped-mass stick model calculates the amount of the lumped mass by considering the geometric shape of the structure, like a tributary area. However, the eigenvalues of the conventional model obtained through such a calculation are normally not the same as those of the actual structure. In order to overcome such a deficiency, in this study, a new lumped mass stick model is proposed. The model is named the "frequency adaptive-lumped-mass stick model." It provides the same eigenvalues and similar dynamic responses as the actual structure. A non-prismatic column is considered as an example, and its natural frequencies as well as the dynamic performance of the new lumped model are compared to those of the full-finite element model. To investigate the damping effect on the new model, 1% to 5% of the critical damping ratio is applied to the model and the corresponding results are also compared to those of the finite element model.
This study was carried out to compare the bioavailability of $Ceclex^{(R)}$ (test drug, cefaclor 250 mg/capsule) with that of $Ceclor^{(R)}$ (reference drug) and to estimate the pharmacokinetic parameters of cefaclor in healthy Korean adult. The bioavailability was examined on 20 healthy volunteers who received a single dose (250 mg) of each drug in the fasting state in a randomized balanced 2-way crossover design. After dosing, blood samples were collected for a period of 6hours. Plasma concentrations of cefaclor were determined using HPLC with UV detection. The pharmacokinetic parameters $(AUC_{0-6hr},\;C_{max},\;T_{max},\;AUC_{int},\;K_e,\;t_{1/2},\;Vd)$ F, and CL/F) were calculated with non-compartmental pharmacokinetic analysis. The ANOVA test was utilized for the statistical analysis of the $T_{max},\;log-transformed\;AUC_{0-6hr}\;log-transformed\;C_{max},\;t_{l/2},\;V_d/F$, and CL/F. The ratios of geometric means of AUC0-6hr and $C_{max}$ between test drug and reference drug were $103.2\%\;(6.74\;{\mu}g{\cdot}hr/ml\;vs\;6.53{\pm}g{\cdot}hr/ml)\;and\;100.4\%\;(4.85\;{\mu}g\ml\;vs\;4.82\;{\mu}g/ml)$, respectively. The $T_{max}$ of test drug and reference drug were $0.9\pm0.38\;hr\;and\;0.83\pm0.34$ hrs, respectively. The $90\%$ confidence intervals of mean difference of logarithmic transformed $AUC_{0-6h},\;and\;C_{max}$ were log $0.98{\sim}log$ 1.08 and log $0.88{\sim}log1.15$, respectively. It shows that the bioavailability of test drug is equivalent with that of reference drug. The estimated half-life of this study was longer $(1.21\pm0.27\;hrs\;vs\;0.5-1\;hr)$, the Vd/F was larger $(68.89\pm25.72L$ vs 24.9L), and the CL/F was higher $(38.62\pm7.09\;L/hr$ vs 24.9 L/hr) than the previously reported values.
In fracture treatment with external fixators, the inter-fragmentary movements at the fracture site affect the fracture healing process, and these movements are highly related to the stiffness of external fixation systems. Therefore, in order to provide the optimal fracture healing at the fracture site, it is essential to understand the relationship between the stiffness and the system configurations in external fixation system. In this study we investigated the influences of system configuration parameters on the stiffness in the finite element analysis of an external fixation system of a long bone. The system alignment, the geometric and the material non-linearity of the pin, the joint stiffness and the callus formation were considered in the finite element model. In the first, the system stiffness of the developed finite element model was compared with the experiment data for model validation. The consideration of the joint stiffness and nonlinearity of the model improved the system stiffness results. The joint stiffness, the non-alignment of the system decreased the system stiffness while the callus formation increased the system stiffness. The present results provided the biomechanical basis of rational guidelines for design improvements of external fixators and pre-op. planning to maximize the system stiffness in fracture surgery.

Semiconductor packages are increasingly moving toward miniaturization, lighter and multi-functions for mobile application, which requires highly integrated multi-stack package. To meet the industrial demand, the package and silicon chip become thinner, and ultra-thin packages will show serious reliability problems such as warpage, crack and other failures. These problems are mainly caused by the mismatch of various package materials and geometric dimensions. In this study we perform the numerical analysis of the warpage deformation and thermal stress of 4-layer stacked FBGA package after EMC molding and reflow process, respectively. After EMC molding and reflow process, the package exhibits the different warpage characteristics due to the temperature-dependent material properties. Key material properties which affect the warpage of package are investigated such as the elastic moduli and CTEs of EMC and PCB. It is found that CTE of EMC material is the dominant factor which controls the warpage. The results of RSM optimization of the material properties demonstrate that warpage can be reduced by $28{\mu}m$. As the silicon die becomes thinner, the maximum stress of each die is increased. In particular, the stress of the top die is substantially increased at the outer edge of the die. This stress concentration will lead to the failure of the package. Therefore, proper selection of package material and structural design are essential for the ultra-thin die packages.
Interstitial therapy using biodegradable polymeric device loaded with anticancer agent can deliver the drug to the tumor site at high concentration, resulting in an increase of therapeutic efficacy. 1,3-bis(2-chloroethyl)-1-nitrosourea (BCNU, carmustine) is most commonly used as chemotherapeutic agent for brain tumors. The design of implantable device is regarded as an important factor lot the efficient delivery of antitumor agent to targeting site. In order to control the release profile of drug, the release pattern of BCNU with the changes of various dimension and additives was investigated. The PLGA wafers containing 3.85, 10, 20 and 30% of BCNU were prepared in various shape (diameter of 3, 5 and 10 mm, thickness of 0.5, 1 and 2 mm) by direct compression method. In vitro drug release profile of BCNU-loaded PLGA wafers could be controlled by changing the dimension of wafers such as initial drug content, weight, diameter, thickness, volume and surface area of wafers, as well as PLGA molecular weight and additives. Drug release from BCNU-loaded PLGA wafers was facilitated with an increase of BCNU-loading amount or presence of poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone)(PVP) or sodium chloride (NaCl). The effects of various geometric factors and additives on the BCNU release pattern were confirmed by the investigation of mass loss and morphology of BCNU-loaded PLGA wafers.
The purpose of thesis is to analyze the radiation characteristics of an offset gregorian antenna in order to design the satellite-loaded antenna. In order to compute the radiation pattern of the sub-reflector, the reflected wave is obtained by GO(Geometric Optics) at an arbitrary shaped sub-reflector. Then the total radiation EM wave is obtained by summing the diffracted fields obtained by UTD(Uniform Geometrical Theory of Diffraction) and the GO fields. In order to calculate the far field radiation pattern of the main reflector, the radiation integral equation is derived from the induced current density on reflector surface using PO(Physical Optics). The kernel is expanded in terms of Jacobi-Bessel series for increasing the computational efficiency, then the modified radiation integral is represented as the double integral equation independent of observation points. When the incident fields are assumed to be x-or y-polarized field, the characteristics of radiation patterns in the gregorian antenna is analyzed in case of the main reflector having the focal length of 62.4$\lambda$, diameter of 100$\lambda$, and offset height of 75$\lambda$, and the sub-reflector having the eccentricity of 0.501, the inter focal length og 32.8$\lambda$, the horn axis angle of $9^{\circ}$ and the half aperture angle of $15.89^{\circ}$. The cross-polarized level and side lobe level in the offset geogorian reflector are reduced by 30dB and 10dB, respectively, in comparison with those of the offset parabolic antenna.
