  • The aim of this research was to evaluate the effect of combination of disinfection process (electrolysis, UV process) on Escherichia coli (E. coli) disinfection and oxidants (OH radical, $ClO_2$, HOCl, $H_2O_2$ and $O_3$) generation. The effect of electrolyte type (NaCl, KCl and $Na_2SO_4$) on the E. coli disinfection and oxidants generation were evaluated. The experimental results showed that performance of E. coli disinfection of electrolysis and UV single process was similar. Combination of electrolysis and UV process enhanced the E. coli disinfection and 4-carboxybenzaldehyde (4-CBA, indicator of the generation of OH radical) degradation. It is clearly showed synergy effect on disinfection and OH radical formation. However chlorine ($ClO_2$, HOCl) and oxygen type ($H_2O_2$, $O_3$) oxidants were decreased with the combination of two process. In electrolysis + UV complex process, electro-generated $H_2O_2$ and $O_3$ were reacted with UV light of UV-C lamp and increased 4-CBA degradation(increase OH radical). Disinfection of electrolyte of chlorine type was higher than that of the sulfate type electrolyte due to the higher generation of OH radical and oxidants.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to construct a structural equation model of organizational commitment in hospital nurses based on a job demands-resources model and to confirm the moderating effect(s) according to the nurses' generation. Methods: The model was constructed of the exogenous variables of social support, emotional intelligence, emotional labor, and job conflict and the endogenous variables of burnout, job engagement, and organizational commitment. The participants were 560 hospital nurses working in 3 general hospitals. Data were collected from August 1 to September 30, 2021, and analyzed using SPSS Window 23.0 and IBM AMOS 23.0. Results: The strongest factor directly influencing hospital nurses' organizational commitment was social support. In a multiple group analysis, nurses' generation had a partial moderating effect. In a generation-specific analysis, the Z generation group was higher than the X and Y generation groups in the variables of emotional labor and burnout related to organizational commitment. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, to improve hospital nurses' organizational commitment, social support is needed as an important management strategy. At the organizational level, we need to develop ways to improve organizational commitment by reducing the emotional labor and burnout of Generation Z.

  • Purpose: This study examined the mediating effect of the individualism-collectivism tendency of hospital nurses on the impact of their generation on professional pride and organizational commitment. Methods: 163 nurses participated in the study. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and SPSS' Process Macro Model 4 was used to examine the relationships. Results: No intergenerational differences in individualistic propensity were observed, while collectivist propensity was higher in X-generation than Z-generation. Further, X-generation showed higher professional pride and organizational commitment than Y- and Z-generation. Notably, collectivistic (individualistic) tendency had (did not have) a mediating effect on the influence of generation on professional pride and organizational commitment. Conclusion: This study provided empirical evidence on the antecedent factors for forming collectivistic organizational culture in nursing organizations by demonstrating the mediating effect of collectivism propensity on professional pride and organizational commitment according to hospital nurses' generations nurses.

  • Recently, global economy has recovered and aspects of the renewable energy industry in the global competition is more fierce, the new growth engines of the major countries, including the United States and China, industry promotion policy as being deployed. Major advanced countries and Korea also invested a lot of money to wind power development as a part of renewable energy development and promoting the construction of wind power generation. The global wind power generation market is expected to further increase the scale to about 70 billion US dollars, thus, Korea as well as the installation of domestic wind power overseas actively considering. This study uses input-output analysis to estimate the role of wind power generation sector exports national economy. More specifically, this study shows what national economy effect of production-inducing effect, value-added inducing effect, and employment-inducing effect are explored with demand-driven moel. After define wind power generation sector what small sized of Input-Output table 168 sectors among 11 sectors, this study pays particular and close attention to wind power generation sector by taking the sector as exogenous specification and then investigating economic impacts of it. The wind power generation exportation case of overseas 100 billion won, production-inducing effect, value-added inducing effect, and employment-inducing effect are 205 billion won, 68 billion won and 1,054 persons, respectively. These quantitative information can be usefully utilized in the policy-making for the industrialization of wind power generation exports.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of generation on consciousness toward wedding ritual and to compare the difference in their consciousness between the young and the old. Data were obtained from 489 individuals living in Seoul. OLS regression analysis was used to identify the effect of generation on consciousness toward wedding ritual. The effect of generation was significant in the consciousness of wedding procedures, while it was not significant in the consciousness of wedding expenditures, holding other factors constant. [t was also found that procedure-important style was associated with more expenditures on wedding. The findings of this study suggested that the materialism had an important effect on the consciousness of wedding procedures for both generations. Understanding these factors is useful for family resource management professionals and educators who develop educational programs to build desirable wedding culture in Korea.

  • Channel characteristics-based secret key generation is an effective physical-layer security method. The issues of how to remove the effect of random noise and to balance the key generation rate (KGR) and the bit mismatch rate (BMR) are needed to be addressed. In this paper, to reduce the effect of random noise and extract more secret bits, a new quantization scheme with high key generation rate and low bit mismatch rate is proposed. In our proposed scheme, we try to use all measurements and correct the differences caused by noise at the boundary regions instead of simply dropping them. We evaluate and discuss the improvements of our proposed scheme. The results show that our proposed scheme achieves lower bit mismatch rate as well as remaining high key generation rate.

  • The dispersed generation is recently increased introduction for the energy supply rationalization and effective management of power system. But the dispersed generation causes to the various trouble that isn't occurred in the past, for example, the two way systems have an effect on the mistake action of protection equipment and the power quality. In this paper, we research the influence on the harmonic when the dispersed generation is interconnected with distribution system. To achievement, we construct the interconnecting dispersed generation and distribution system which is applied to the permission of harmonic emission. After that, we simulate about the harmonic of distribution system interconnection dispersed generation by the PSCAD/EMTDC analyzing transient state of the power system.

  • This paper deals with the result of an analysis on the effect of the power generation by municipal solid waste(MSW)-refuse derived fuel(RDF) and the introduction of tipping fee sharing between RDF manufacturing and power generation project. As a model case for the MSW generated at small and medium cities in our country, an analysis of the RDF power generation and Tipping fee sharing shows that 1) MSW amount of 7,800* $10^3 $t/y could produce 1,950*$10^3$t/y of RDF 2) Electric power generated by MSW-RDF could supply 290,000 households/year and 98,548 C-t/y of $CO_2$ could be reduced. 3) Tipping Fee should be shared by the considering of the contents of project of both side between RDF Production and power generation.

  • It is easily can be expected that Korea cannot be free under the regulation, because Korea is one of the major $CO_2$ emitter in the world. Even though Korea currently doesn't have any obligation to mitigate the carbon emission, power industry needs to study the effect of that. this paper aims to analyze the change of economic loading order for generation dispatch by various carbon price, looking at each plant's or generator's variable generation cost per unit electricity(kWh) that consists of basic generation price calculated by automatic generation system planning model, WASP 4.0, and $CO_2$ price per unit electricity generation.
