생약복합제 Pulmuone Healthy Aloe Gel의 위장질환 개선 효과 (Antigastritic and Antiulcerative Effect of Pulmuone Healthy Aloe Gel)

  • Present study was performed for the development of a new supplementary product with gastroprotective effect. The preliminary screening were conducted for the effects of HCl-ethanol-induced gastric lesions in rats. Samples were aloe gel, active hexose correlated compound (AHCC) mentioned that have GI protective property and pulmuone healthy aloe gel (PHAG) that mixture of natural products from Pulmuone company. Aloe gel significantly inhibited HCl-ethanol-induced gastric lesions at the oral dose of 5 ml/kg. AHCC showed the strongest effectiveness at the oral dose of 1,200 mg/kg. PHAG also showed the significant effects at the oral dose of 10, 20 g/kg. In pylorus ligated rats, the treatments of aloe gel, AHCC and PHAG showed decrease in the volume of gastric secretion and acid output. And aloe gel, AHCC and PHAG significantly suppressed the aspirin-induced ulcer and chronic ulcer in pylorus ligated rats. The treatments of aloe gel and PHAG significantly reduced acetic acid-induced ulcer at the oral dose of 5 ml/kg and 10 g/kg for 12 days. In this study; we have found that PHAG had significant improvement in acute gastritis and ulcer at the dose of 20 g/kg and in chronic gastritis and ulcer at the dose of 10 g/kg. Also we evaluated the anti-bacterial activity against H. pylori treated with aloe gel, AHCC and PHAG. PHAG had a equivalent anti bacterial activity with ampicillin against H. pylori at the dose of 1 g/kg.

케토롤락과 치자엑스 가수분해물이 함유된 하이드로겔제의 물성 및 생체 부착성 (Property and Bio-adhesiveness in Hydrogel Material with Content of Ketorolac and Gardeniae Fructus Hydrolysis Products)

  • 소염진통제인 Ketorolac tromethamine에 치자엑스 복합제제를 혼합하여 4종의 하이드로겔을 제조한 다음 주성분의 확인, 점도, 표면장력, 인장강도 및 생체부착성 실험을 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. KGE 및 KGH gel 제제 중 Ketorolac tromethamine의 함량은 1.02~0.97%이었고, Geniposide의 함량은 KGE gel A와 C에서 0.34%이었으나, KGH gel B와 D에서 0.11%로 낮아졌고, Genipin의 함량은 KGE gel A와 C에서는 나타나지 않았으나, KGH gel B와 D에서 0.13%로 나타났다. 2. Gel 제제의 온도에 따른 점도는 gel 화제로 Carbopol 940을 단독으로 사용한 gel이 Poloxamer 407을 추가한 gel보다 더 높은 점도를 유지하였으며, 각 제제에서의 표면장력은 $37^{\circ}C$에서 34.77~40.58 dyne/cm를 나타냈다. 제제의 인장강도는 KGH gel B에서 대조군에 비하여 3.5배 정도 높은 인장강도를 나타냈다. 3. 생체부착성은 등피부 상부(표피층)와 배피부의 경우 KGH gel B 에서 50.62 N으로 나타나 대조군에 비해 5배 정도 높은 수치를 나타내었고, 등피부 하부(진피층)와 배피부의 경우 KGH gel B의 에서 35.93 N으로 나타나 대조군에 비해 3.5배 정도 높은 수치를 나타냈다.

  • Lactobacillus plantarum 용균 효소를 생산하는 균주를 배양하여 생산된 효소를 정제한 결과 비활성도가 5.8 units/mg protein 이었고 정제도 8.3배, 수율은 30%이었다. 정제효소의 분자량은 gel filtration과 SDS-polyacrylamide gel eletrophoresis를 이용하여 측정한 결과 60,000 kDa 이었다. 용균 효소의 최적 반응 시간은 20분이었으며 최적 온도는 4$0^{\circ}C$, 최적 pH는 3.0이었다. 온도 안정성은 각 온도에서 30분간 처리하였을 때 $30^{\circ}C$까지는 안정하였으나 4$0^{\circ}C$에서는 80% 활성을 나타내었다. 효소의 pH 안정성은 실온에서 1시간 처리하였을 때 pH 4~7에서 안정성을 나타내었다.

  • Hardness and surface property of coated gel materials are considerably different according to kinds(particle size/stabilized ion) of colloidal silica(CS), kinds of silanes, content ratio of silane versus CS, and reaction degree in sol solution. We report the properties of sol-gel coating materials in which the factors of reaction are kinds of CS, contents ratio of CS and MTMS, and reaction time of sol. The contact angles of the coated films obtained from the mixed CS system showed a little good relationship with MTMS content increase to those from HSA CS reaction system and the change of contact angle didn't have much effect on reaction time of sol. In the coating films obtained from HSA CS reaction system, the surface was much rough in case of that the content MTMS decreased and the reaction of sol kept long. The surface roughness of films obtained from the mixed CS reaction system showed similar tendency, though its degree was a little different. In synthesis of sol-gel coating materials, we could identify that choice of CS kinds and content ratio of CS and silane were important and it was desirable the reaction time of sol is not long.

Effect of NaCl, Gum Arabic and Microbial Transglutaminase on the Gel and Emulsion Characteristics of Porcine Myofibrillar Proteins

  • This study investigated the effect of gum arabic (GA) combined with microbial transglutaminase (TG) on the functional properties of porcine myofibrillar protein (MP). As an indicator of functional property, heat-set gel and emulsion characteristics of MP treated with GA and/or TG were explored under varying NaCl concentrations (0.1-0.6 M). The GA improved thermal gelling ability of MP during thermal processing and after cooling, and concomitantly added TG assisted the formation of viscoelastic MP gel formation. Meanwhile, the addition of GA decreased cooking yield of MP gel at 0.6 M NaCl concentration, and the yield was further decreased by TG addition, mainly attributed by enhancement of protein-protein interactions. Emulsion characteristics indicated that GA had emulsifying ability and the addition of GA increased the emulsification activity index (EAI) of MP-stabilized emulsion. However, GA showed a negative effect on emulsion stability, particularly great drop in the emulsion stability index (ESI) was found in GA treatment at 0.6 M NaCl. Consequently, the results indicated that GA had a potential advantage to form a viscoelastic MP gel. For the practical aspect, the application of GA in meat processing had to be limited to the purposes of texture enhancer such as restructured products, but not low-salt products and emulsion-type meat products.

  • 본 연구에서는 PZT(20/80)과 PZT(80/20) 금속 alkoxide용액을 Pt/Ti/$SiO_2$/Si 기판위에 상호 반복시킨 강유전성 PZT(20/80)/PZT(80/20) 이종층 박막을 제작하였다. 건조와 소결을 한번 행한 PZT 이종층 박막의 평균 두께는 약 80~90 nm이었다. 제작된 모든 PZT 박막은 rosette상이 없는 치밀하고 균질한 미세구조를 나타내었으며, 하부의 PZT층은 열처리시 상부 PZT층은 열처리시 상부 PZT 박막의 페로브스카이트 형성에 대해 nucleation site로 작용하였다. 유전상수, 피로특성 및 누설전류특성 등은 단일 조성의 PZT(20/80), PZT(80/20) 박막에 비해 우수한 특성을 나타내었다.

Effect of Extraction Time on the Rheological Properties of Sericin Solutions and Gels

  • Recently, silk sericin has attracted the attention of researchers owing to its useful properties as a biomaterial including 1) good wound healing and cell activities, 2) fast gelation character, and 3) high water retention property. In the present study, silk sericin was prepared using different extraction times in hot water and the effect of extraction time on the rheological properties of sericin solutions and gels was examined. It was found that the production yield of sericin increased with extraction time. The shear viscosity of sericin solutions and gels decreased with increasing extraction time due to a decrease in sericin molecular weight. When the sericin solution transformed to a gel, the viscosity increased and the shear thinning behavior was more evident. In addition, the shear stress measurements indicated that the slip between the sericin samples and the measuring plate of the rheometer was increased by the gelation of sericin. The compression strength of sericin gel could be increased remarkably (by more than 100 fold) by preparation using the freezing and thawing method.

Preparation of Phase Pure Cuprate Superconductors via The Modification of Sol-Gel Method

  • A modification of the sol-gel method to obtain phase pure superconducting oxides is described. The method starts from organic salts of yttrium, barium and copper, such as acetates, and avoids the sudden and uncontrollable decomposition of the organic fraction which occurs if nitrates are used as starting materials. The aqueous solution obtained with citric acid in an alkaline medium is concentrated under vacuum. The solid so prepared is decomposed at about $300^{\circ}C$ thus giving an oxide precursor containing well dispersed yttrium, barium and copper. Pyrolysis at 850 - $920^{\circ}C$ followed by oxygen annealing gives the superconducting orthorhombic 123 phase. The results of TGA/DTA of the precursor, as well as XRD, electrical and magnetic property measurements on the pyrolysis products are presented and discussed.
