CO2용 실외열교환기의 오일 영향에 따른 성능변화에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Oil Effect of CO2 in Heat Pump Outdoor Heat Exchanger)

  • In order to investigate the effects of PAG oil concentration on heat transfer performance and pressure drop during gas cooling process of $CO_2$, the experiments on fin-tube heat exchanger of $CO_2$ heat pump were performed. The experimental apparatus consists of a gas cooler, a heater, a chiller, a mass flow meter, a pump and measurement system. Experiments were conducted in various experimental conditions, which were inlet temperature($110^{\circ}C$), mass flow rates (50, 55, 60, 65, 70 g/s) and PAG oil concentration(0 to 2.6 wt%). Heat transfer rate decreased with the increase of the oil concentration and the decrease of inlet pressure. And pressure drop increased with the increase of the oil concentration and mass flow rate of refrigerant. The COP reduction by deterioration of gas cooler performance with oil concentration was analyzed. When inlet pressure of gas cooler is 100 bar, the COP reduction was estimated by 6% under 1 wt% of oil concentration.

해저면에 설치된 2차원 복합해저관로 주위의 유동특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Study of Flow Pattern around the Two-Dimensional Dual Subsea Pipeline on Sea Bottom)

  • As pipelines are often used to transport gas, oil, water and oil products, there are more than one pipeline installed in the offshore field. The size and space of pipelines are various depending on the design specifications. The pipelines are to be designed and installed to secure the stability to external loads during the installation and operation period. The flow patterns are very complex around the pipelines being dependent on incoming flow velocity, pipelines size and space. To investigate the flow patterns, number of experiment are conducted with visualization equipment in a circulating water channel. The flow motion and trajectory were recorded from the laser reflected particles by camera. From the experiment the flow patterns around spaced pipelines were obtained. Also pressure gradient was measured by mano-meter to estimate the hydrodynamic forces on the behind pipeline. The results show that the various sizes and spaces can be affected in the estimation of external load. The complex flow patterns and pressure gradients can be effectively used in the understanding of flow motion and pressure gradient.

  • 본 논문에서는 반도체 제조장비의 핵심 부품 중에 하나인 질량유량제어기(MFC, Mass Flow Controller)클 설계하고 구현하였다 Microchip社의 마이크로콘트롤러(Microcontroller) PIC 16F876을 사용하여 개발된 MFC는 여러가지 문제점을 가진 아날로그(Analog) 방식의 MFC와 고가의 DSP(Digital Signal Processor) 및 고분해능의 AD변환기(Analog to Digital Convertor)를 사용하는 디지털 MFC의 장점을 혼합한 하이브리드형(Hybrid-Type)이다. 본 논문에서 개발된 MFC는 크게 센서부(Sensor Unit), 제어부(Control Unit), 구동기부(Actuator Unit)로 구성되었으며, 성능향상을 위한 자동보정(Automatic Calibration) 알고리즘과 표준테이블(Reference Table) 방식을 사용하였다.

재연소가 열전달 특성과 $NO_x$ 감소에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Reburning on Heat Transfer Characteristics and $NO_x$ Reduction)

  • An experimental study has been conducted to evaluate the effects of reburning on $NO_x$ reduction and also to examine heat transfer characteristics from LPG flame. Experiments were performed in flames stabilized by a co-flow swirl burner, which was mounted at the bottom of the furnace. Tests were conducted using LPG gas as main fuel and also as reburn fuel. The effects of reburn fuel fraction and injecting location of reburn fuel are studied. The paper reports data on flue gas emissions, temperature distribution in furnace and various heat fluxes at the wall for a wide range of experimental conditions. In a steady state, the total as well as radiative heat flux from the flame to the wall of furnace has been measured using a heat flux meter. Temperature distribution and emission formation in furnace have been also measured and compared.

비이온계 첨가제에 의한 폴리술폰계 중공사 막의 모폴로지 조절과 기체투과 특성 (Effect of Non-ionic Additive on Morphology and Gas Permeation Properties of Polysulfone Hollow Fiber Membrane)

  • 기체분리용 분리막의 투과성능을 향상시키기 위해 비이온성 첨가제로 Triton X-100을 사용하여 건습식 상분리법에 의하여 polysulfone 중공사 막을 제조하였으며, 첨가제에 따른 기체투과 거동의 변화를 관찰하였다. 또한 에어갭, 고분자의 농도, 도프탱크 온도와 같은 다양한 방사 조건을 조절하여 그 영향을 관찰하였다. 제조된 중공사 막은 전자주사현미경(SEM)과 bubble flow meter를 통해 각각 모폴로지와 기체투과 특성에 대한 평가를 실시하였다. SEM 분석을 통해 Triton X-100이 첨가된 막은 다양한 에어갭에서도 매끄러운 외부 스킨층을 가지는 것을 확인하였다. 중공사 막의 거대기공은 에어갭이 4에서 90 cm로 증가함에 따라 더욱 발달하며, 높은 투과도를 나타내는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 상대적으로 낮은 고분자 농도(30 wt% polysulfone)와 높은 첨가제 농도(15 wt% Triton X-100) 조건에서 높은 투과도를 나타내었다. 도프 탱크 온도를 조절하였을 때, $100^{\circ}C$에서 제조된 막은 첨가제와 용매의 휘발로 인해 낮은 투과특성을 나타냈다.

정적형 유량계를 이용한 소닉노즐 유출계수 교정 방법에 관한 연구 (Calibration of Discharge Coefficient of Sonic Nozzle Using CVFM)

  • 진공용 기체 유동측정 표준기로 사용하고자 소닉노즐을 ISO 9300에서 제시한 사양에 맞추어 목직경 0.03 mm와 0.2 mm의 소닉 노즐을 제작하였다. 한국표준과학연구원에서 진공용 유량측정 장치로 개발된 정적형 유량계를 이용하여 제작된 2종의 소닉노즐의 유출계수를 확장불확도 3% 이내로 교정하였다. 교정된 소닉노즐의 유량 측정범위는 약 0.6~1,800 cc/min 범위를 갖는 것으로 나타났으며, 사용유동 조건에 해당되는 레이놀드 수(Reynolds number) 범위는 26~12,100으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 교정된 소닉노즐을 이용하여 진공공정에서 필요한 극 미세 유량의 정밀측정을 가능하게 한 새로운 연구결과로 판단된다. 교정된 소닉노즐을 이용하여 진공펌프의 배기속도 측정결과는 기 구축된 정적법을 이용한 배기속도 측정결과와 1% 이내의 오차범위내로 매우 잘 일치함을 보였다. 교정된 소닉노즐은 향후 반도체 및 디스플레이 공정에 사용되는 다양한 건식 진공펌프들의 배기속도를 현장에서 간단하게 평가할 수 있는 현장 성능평가 장치에 활용할 예정이며, 현재 공정현장에서 배기속도 측정에 널리 사용중인 MFC를 대체할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

고분자전해질형 연료전지 가스확산층의 탄소 부식에 관한 실험적 분석 (Experimental Study on Carbon Corrosion of Gas Diffusion Layer in PEM Fuel Cell)

  • Recently, many efforts to solve the durability problem of PEM fuel cell are carried on constantly. However, despite this attention, durability researches of gas diffusion layer (GDL) are not much reported yet. Generally, GDL of PEM fuel cell experiences three external attacks, which are dissolution of water, erosion of gas flow, corrosion of electric potential. In this study, among these degradation factors, carbon corrosion of electric potential was focused and investigated with accelerated carbon corrosion test. Through the test, it is confirmed that carbon corrosion occurred at GDL, and corroded GDL decreased a performance of operating fuel cell. The property changes of GDL were measured with various methods such as air permeability meter, pore distribution analyzer, thermo gravimetric analyzer, and tensile stress test to discover the effects of carbon corrosion. Carbon corrosion caused not only loss of weight and thickness, but also degradation of mechanical strength of GDL. In addition, to analysis the reason of GDL property changes, a surface and a cross section of GDL were observed with scanning electron microscope. After 100 hours test, the GDL showed serious damage in center of layer.

메탄/수소 혼합 가스의 예혼합 선회 연소특성 (Combustion Characteristics of Hydrogen/Methane gas in Pre-mixed Swirl Flame)

  • The effects of hydrogen enrichment to methane have been investigated with swirl-stabilized premixed hydrogen-enriched methane flame in a laboratory-scale pre-mixed combustor. The hydrogen-enriched methane fuel and air were mixed in a pre-mixer and introduced to the combustor through different degrees of swirl vanes. The flame characteristics were examined for different amount of hydrogen addition to the methane fuel and different swirl strengths. The hydrogen addition effects and swirl intensity on the combustion characteristics of pre-mixed methane flames were examined using micro-thermocouple, particle image velocity meter (PIV) and chemiluminescence techniques to provide information about flow field. The results show that the flame area increases at upstream of reaction zone because of increase in ignition energy from recirculation flow for increase in swirl intensity. The flame area is also increased at the downstream zone by recirculation flow because of increase in swirl intensity which results in higher centrifugal force. The higher combustibility of hydrogen makes reaction faster, raises the temperature of reaction zone and expands the reaction zone, consequently recirculation flow to reaction zone is reduced. The temperature of reaction zone increases with hydrogen addition even though the adiabatic flame temperature of the mixture gas decreases with increase in the amount of hydrogen addition in this experiment condition because the higher combustibility of hydrogen reduces the cooler recirculation flow to the reaction zone.

질소 첨가된 ta-C 후막코팅의 기계 및 트라이볼로지적 특성연구 (Effects of nitrogen doping on mechanical and tribological properties of thick tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C) coatings)

  • The effect of nitrogen doping on the mechanical and tribological performance of single-layer tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C:N) coatings of up to $1{\mu}m$ in thickness was investigated using a custom-made filtered cathode vacuum arc (FCVA). The results obtained revealed that the hardness of the coatings decreased from $65{\pm}4.8GPa$ to $25{\pm}2.4GPa$ with increasing nitrogen gas ratio, which indicates that nitrogen doping occurs through substitution in the $sp^2$ phase. Subsequent AES analysis showed that the N/C ratio in the ta-C:N thick-film coatings ranged from 0.03 to 0.29 and increased with the nitrogen flow rate. Variation in the G-peak positions and I(D)/I(G) ratio exhibit a similar trend. It is concluded from these results that micron-thick ta-C:N films have the potential to be used in a wide range of functional coating applications in electronics. To achieve highly conductive and wear-resistant coatings in system components, the friction and wear performances of the coating were investigated. The tribological behavior of the coating was investigated by sliding an SUJ2 ball over the coating in a ball-on-disk tribo-meter. The experimental results revealed that doping using a high nitrogen gas flow rate improved the wear resistance of the coating, while a low flow rate of 0-10 sccm increased the coefficient of friction (CoF) and wear rate through the generation of hematite (${\alpha}-Fe_2O_3$) phases by tribo-chemical reaction. However, the CoF and wear rate dramatically decreased when the nitrogen flow rate was increased to 30-40 sccm, due to the nitrogen inducing phase transformation that produced a graphite-like structure in the coating. The widths of the wear track and wear scar were also observed to decrease with increasing nitrogen flow rate. Moreover, the G-peaks of the wear scar around the SUJ2 ball on the worn surface increased with increasing nitrogen doping.

  • Bead shape control with gas force process has been developed to overcome the concave back bead in pipe orbital welding. However, It is impossible to make a convex back bead using the existing gas nozzle, because it has high gas-consuming and low gas force. The purpose of this paper, to develop optimum shape of nozzle which to reduce the consumption of gas, maximizing the shield gas force with low cost and high productivity coincide the Green welding. In this paper venturi-type nozzle was designed by using the Venturi meter and compared velocity, pressure, arc shape in the flat position with existing CP-nozzle. As a result, Venturi-type nozzle's maximum velocity and pressure was improved at the same flow rate. Also heat input was increased by the arc contraction in the flat position.
