It is important for Singaporean companies to manage the multifaceted risks when forming international construction joint ventures (ICJVs) with developing countries. The objectives of this study are to assess the risks associated with Singaporean ICJVs with developing countries, and investigate the risk allocation preferences in these ICJVs. To fulfill these objectives, a literature review was carried out and a questionnaire survey was performed with 38 professionals. The survey results reported "political instability" as the most critical risk, and market level risks were less critical than country and project level risks. Additionally, the results showed agreement on the risk ranking between building and infrastructure ICJVs, despite significant differences in the criticalities of five risks. Furthermore, five risks were preferably allocated to host and foreign partners, respectively, while 13 risks could be shared among partners. As few studies have explored the risk allocation preferences in ICJVs, this study expands the literature. Also, the identification of the risks allows other companies to customize their own lists of critical risks, while the preferred risk allocation provides valuable information for companies from various countries that intend to form ICJVs with developing countries. Thus, this study contributes to the global body of knowledge relating to ICJVs.

Electrical characteristics of LiF-$Li_{2}O-B_{2}O_{3}-P_{2}O_5$ glasses with fixed $Li_2O$ content have been investigated by using AC impedance spectroscopy. Part of the total lithium ions present in these glasses contributes to conduction, and the changes in electrical conductivity with composition was inconsistent with the weak electrolyte model. The power law could not be used to determine the hopping ion concentration in these glasses. Both mobile carrier density and mobility have been modified as Li were added in the form of LiF. The formation of $(B-O-P)^-,di^-$, and metaborate group gave additional available sites for Li+ diffusion causing the enhancement of conductivity. The observed maximum conductivity was $2.43 \times 10^{-4}$S/cm at $150^{\circ}C$ at the composition containing 8mol% LiF. The decomposion potential amounted to 5.94V. The Li/glass electrolyte/$TiS_2$ solid-state cell showed open circuit voltage of 3.14V and energy density of 22 Wh/Kg at $150^{\circ}C$.

This is a basic study for recovering original form of Nongsanbyeoleop(農山別業) in Gangjin, Jeonnam, created in the latter part of Joseon period and the estimation of originla form at the time of creation was conducted by analyzing related literature and inspecting the actual site. "Joseokruki(朝夕樓記)" of Dasan Jung, Yak Yong could estimate spatial structure and using form of Nongsanbyeoleop and the arrangement of spatial structure in literature could be confirm by on-the-site inspection. The results of this study are as follows. The first, Nongsanbyeoleop managed spatial factors applying natural topography. For the spatial characteristics of Nongsanbyeoleop, the location of ancestral ritual space including deceased father's tomb and tomb house far from the main levee of Yun, Kwang Taek, a father of Yun, Seo Yu by 1.9km and housekeeping could be confirmed. The second, spatial estimation by "Joseokruki" could be possible. "Joseokruki" describes Joseokru.Youngmojae.Hanokkwan.Cheokyunjung.Sangam as construction factors, Wundang.Kookdan.Nokwunoh. as plant factors, Sookyunggan.Keumkoji.Nokeumjung.Uijanghae as hydroponic factors and Pyoeunkok.Aengjakang as natural topography factors. However, most of them were disappeared and at present, only Youngmojae, Keumgoji, Kukdan and Wundang show the past trace. The third is for the changed space of Nongsanbyeoleop and its reason. The surrounding space of Nongsanbyeoleop was planated by land arrangement in 1960s and it played a role of topographical damage because it's recognized as the plane factor including Nongsanbyeoleop's surrounding landscape rather than dotted factor. The forth, the actual measurement of Nongsanbyeoleop and digitalization of manual map of numerical value are judged to be sufficient to apply as the basic material for recovering garden in the future. Because of the diatahce changing method applied at that time, the garden recovery of Nongsanbyeoleop intended to be concreted and 3D model established by digitalized basic materials is considered to apply for multilateral studying. Thus, Nongsanbyeoleop which is byeolseo including the tomb of deceased father based on the conceptual hyo thought shows clear differences from the organized factors of Byolseowonrim of precedent studies and the importance of Byolseowonrim is sufficient. But, the constructional factors which cannot know disappeared spatial factors and accurate location became the limitation of this study. In the future, clear verification of original form must be progressed by excavation which can confirm the location of construction factors.
A photosynthetic cyanobacterium Arthrospira platensis, well known for health food supplement, was studied as a target species for atmospheric $CO_2$ removal as well as biomass production. Although the biomass of A. platensis was massively produced in many countries, the recovery cost of its biomass is still high. The purpose of this study was to develop the A. platensis mutant strains which have enhanced growth rate and floatation activity to reduce the recovery cost. A. platensis KCTC AG20590 was treated with 0.24% ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS) for 20 min at room temperature. The mutant strain A. platensis M20CJK3 was finally selected by its morphological and physiological features. The morphology of the mutant A. platensis M20CJK3 was changed from loose-coiled form to tight-coiled form showing short pitch. The growth and $CO_2$ uptake rate of A. platensis M20CJK3 were improved about 15% and 17% compared with A. platensis KCTC AG20590, respectively. The floatation activity of A. platensis M20CJK3 was enhanced in 2-fold compared with that of A. platensis KCTC AG20590. Soluble proteins extracted from two strains were analyzed by two dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) and MALDI-TOF MS/MS. Among 15 protein spots induced in 2-DE analysis, two spots were the proteins related to photosynthesis and electron transfer system of the other cyanobacteria. As a consequence, it seems that the tight-coiled mutant A. platensis M20CJK3 has an advantage of high growth rate and floatation activity which are beneficial for the mass cultivation and recovery.
Choo-Joo(鄒澍;1790-1844) was the medicine scholar who lived in the late peroid of the Chung-Dynasty and wrote "Bon-Kyung-So-Jeung(本經疏證)", "Bon-kyung-Sok-So(本經續疏)", "Bon-Kyng-Seo-So-Yo(本經序疏要)". In the books mentioned above, He annotated the chief effectiveness of herbal medicine(本草) which had been presented on "Shin-Nong-Bon-Cho-Kyung(神農本草經)" and "Myoung-Eui-Byul-Lok(名醫別錄)". He defined medical action of 315 herb-items with the many theories of various scholars. Scholars whom Choo-Joo has qoutated belong to the school of study of Chinese classics, and they have regarded "Hwang-Je-Nae-Kyung(黃帝內經)", "Shin-Nong-Bon-Cho-Kyung(神農本草經)" and "Sang-Han-Lon(傷寒論)" as great important cannon and have lived during the Myoung Chung Dynasty. The distinctive character of Choo-Joo belongs to similar academic traditions. It seems that he was appected mainly by "Bon-Cho-Gang-Mok(本草綱目)" written by Lee-Si-Jin(李時珍), Mok-Jung-Soon(繆仲淳)'s "Sin-Nonng-Bon-Cho-Kyung-So(神農本草經疏)", You-Yak-Guem(劉若金)'s "Bon-Cho-Sul(本草述)" and Yang-Si-Tae(楊時泰)'s "Bon-Cho-Sul-Gu-Won(本草述鉤元)". He contributed in two big sides. First, Choo-Joo(鄒澍) have achieved much contribution in biliographical study of Chinese classics(考證學). He analyzed the medical theory of herb-medicine, combining with "Nae-Kyung(內經)", "Sang-Han-Lon(傷寒論)" and many theory of various scholars in order to make research on the chief effectiveness that had been presented in "Shin-Nong-Bon-Cho-Kyung(神農本草經)". Therefore the practical application of medical theory and term which had been represented on classics were offered. Secondary, Choo-joo did great accomplishment in pharmacology. The point of his theory was grasping the effect of a medicine through distinctive one beyond general feature. He set up standards that grasp distintive feature as form, color, energy and taste, place of production and temper. And on the basis of these standards he investigated distinctive feature on various fields, then he induced 'the Uem-Yang-0-Haeng Theory(陰陽五行說)' from distictions. According to the these method of classification, form(形) stand for the resultant shape of herbal function, color(色) represent the active direction of herb, energy and taste(氣味) imply the ultimate active function of herb, the place of production(産地) and the period of occurrence(發生時期) symbolize symptoms. When he applied these method to seek for effetiveness, he regarded the field which revealed most representative feature as of great importance, and Combining remained distinctions with one another, he determined more accurate medicinal value. These method of obsevation solved contradiction which occured by equaly appling all medical herbs for the regular standard. The most important theory that represented in Choo-Joo(鄒澍) is to induce and to certify the distintive feature of herb into the 'Uem-Yang-0-Haeng Theory'. That is, concluded as "spring(生), growing(長), change(化), collecting(收) and storing(藏)". As the results of these studies, he made clear the action of medicine more concretly and made 'the Uem-Yang-0-Haeng Theory(陰陽五行說)' more concret and actual for applying. And he contrbuted to establish the standard for grasping the effect of medicines.

Tasan Jeong Yak-yong is great scholar, who makes a synthesis of Sil-hak[實學, Practical Science of Korea], reformer of society, and a poet in the Joseon Dynasty. He expressed contradiction and conflict of those days by intellectual language, and reperceived basic ideology of the Joseon society. Also he theorized dissatisfaction of the people about those days and its system as form of religion. We can divide Tasan's life into two times. The first part is his ages 16~39 in the period of Jeong-jo(1777~1800). The second part is in the period of Sun-jo(1801~1834). In this period, he was exiled into Gang-jin for 17 years. After banishment, he lived a quiet life for the rest of his life in his hometown. His allegoric poetry were written in this second period. The special feature of allegoric poetry is strong satire. An allegory would be that is 'king's ear', which the barber has sight, or the barber's voice, which has divulged king's secret among the bamboos. Otherwise it would be that is the sound 'king's ear is donkey's ear' in the bamboos. This sound is divulging of the true donkey's ear. It doesn't travel to audiences, but travels trough wind in the bamboos. The narration exists just as story that barber can't stand to keep silence about king's secret. There are exposure of true and critical motive as allegoric expression. Tasan's allegoric poetry stand on the basis of his love for the people. Also there reveals his thought deeply with an enormous amount of reading and self-communion. Moreover there are his warm mind with his sharp insight in which captures alive lives as allegoric materials. Most of allegoric poetry satirize actuality of those days to make an excuse for external distinguishing marks of animals and plants. However Tasan's poetry are different from them. After he grasped serious problems from his contemporary actuality, and then choosed allegoric media to express correctly. Because he grasped the special features of lives after minute observation, he could exposure controversial point of the actual. His sharp insight was not limited to allegoric media. He noticed his period and the current of his society sensitively. It made his allegoric poetry as important materials to make us to know the condition of the people in the Joseon Dynasty. Tasan's allegoric poetry is inherited by Baek Seok[白石, 1912~1995] as regular juvenile literature. Baek Seok's juvenile stories are the results of expansion and transition for Tasan's allegoric poetry. Allegoric poetry was the shout of barber to prosecute about social irregularities and contradiction, and the sound of the bamboos to travel moaning of the people in the past. Now allegoric poetry create new emotion to make us to speculate ourselves with our surrounding. This changes are caused by special feature of allegoric poetry as a form to reflect our general lives.

Follicular carcinomas are the second most common form of thyroid cancer, accounting for 10 to 20% of all thyroid cancers. Follicular carcinomas have a propensity to metastasize via the bloodstream, spreading to bone, lungs, liver, and elsewhere. We described the case of a 48-year-old woman who presented with swelling of the left preauricular area, which was a consequence of a metastatic follicular carcinoma of the masticator space. Plain films showed illdefined erosive bony changes from the left condylar head to the mandibular notch. Contrast-enhanced CT images showed a well circumscribed round mass with well enhancement within left masticator space. On MR images, the mass was heterogenously hyperintense to the muscle on T2-weighted images and isointense or hyperintense to the muscle on Tl-weighted images, and showed good enhancement on contrast-enhanced Tl-weighted images. Upon microscopic examination, the metastatic mass was found to be composed of fairly uniform cells forming small follicles containing colloid, showing capsular and vascular invasion.
Aim: We conducted a study in China to assess the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in patients treated on for malignant bone tumors after surgery, and investigate the possible determinants. Methods: The subjects were 120 patients surgically treated by amputation and limb-salvage for bone tumors during the period of June 2008 to June 2010. The Medical Outcomes Study Short Form 36 (SF-36) was employed to measure the HRQoL of all the patients before and after surgery. Results: With regard to the results of the general quality of life tool (SF-36), we observed a significant improvement of all the indexes of HRQoL after 6 months (p<0.05). PF, RP and BP scores showed significant increase between surgery after 6 and 12 months (p<0.05). The means of the HRQoL of bone tumor patients in our study were still much lower than those of general population in every domain, even 12 months after surgery. Logistic regression showed that female patients were found to have lower scores in physical component summary (PCS) than males (OR=0.64, 95% CI=0.35-0.89). Patients older than 15 years had lower scores in mental component summary (MCS) (OR=0.60, 95% CI=0.32-0.86). Ablative surgery was related to both lower MCS and PCS scores (For MCS, OR=0.54, 95% CI=0.31-0.83; for PCS, OR=0.43, 95% CI=0.25-0.73). Conclusion: Our study showed the treatment for bone tumor could greatly alter the HRQoL of patients. Age, sex and type of surgery were associated with physical or mental HRQoL after surgery.

BACKGROUND: Phosphorus(P) is a vital factor for rice but excess input of phosphorus fertilizer can cause environmental risk and waste of fertilizer resources. We studied to assess the change of available phosphate, P balance, critical concentration of available phosphate under a rice single system. METHODS AND RESULTS: The changes of available phosphate of paddy soil were examined from long-term fertilization experiment which was started in 1954 at the National Academy of Agricultural Science. The treatments were no phosphate fertilization(No fert., and N), phosphate fertilization(NPK, NPKC, and NPKCLS). The available phosphorus concentrations in treatments without phosphate fertilizer (No fert. and N) were decreased continuously. But, after 47 years, available phosphate content in phosphate fertilizer treatment (NPK, NPKC, and NPKCLS) reached at the highest ($245{\sim}331mg\;kg^{-1}$), showing a tendency to decrease afterward. The mean annual P field balance in these treatments (NPK, NPKC, and NPKCLS) had positive values that varied from 16.6 to $17.5kg\;ha^{-1}year^{-1}$, and ratio of residual P were increased. These showed that phosphate fertilizer in soil were converted into the form of residual phosphorus which was not easily extracted by available phosphate extractant. Also, It was estimated that the critical value of available phosphate for rice cultivation was $120mg\;kg^{-1}$ using Cate-Nelson equation. CONCLUSION: We concluded that no more phosphate fertilizer should be applied in rice single system if soil available phosphate is higher than the critical P value.

Screen printing is commonly used to form the electrode for crystalline silicon solar cells. However, it has caused high resistance and low aspect ratio, resulting in decrease of conversion efficiency. Accordingly, Ni/Cu/Ag plating method could be applied for crystalline silicon solar cells to reduce contact resistance. For Ni/Cu/Ag plating, laser ablation process is required to remove anti-reflection layers prior to the plating process, but laser ablation results in surface damage and then decrease of open-circuit voltage and cell efficiency. Another issue with plating process is ghost plating. Ghost plating occurred in the non-metallized region, resulting from pin-hole in anti-reflection layer. In this paper, we investigated the effect of Ni/Cu/Ag plating on the electrical properties, compared to screen printing method. In addition, phosphoric acid layer was spin-coated prior to laser ablation to minimize emitter damage by the laser. Phosphorous elements in phosphoric acid generated selective emitter throughout emitter layer during laser process. Then, KOH treatment was applied to remove surface damage by laser. At this step, amorphous silicon formed by laser ablation was recrystallized during firing process and remaining of amorphous silicon was removed by KOH treatment. As a result, electrical properties as Jsc, FF and efficiency were improved, but Voc was lower than screen printed solar cells because Voc was decreased due to surface damage by laser process. Accordingly, we expect that efficiency of solar cells could be improved by optimization of the process to remove surface damage.
