Design of Intelligent Filter for Telerobotic System

  • In this paper, intelligent filtering methodology for masterarm translation signal is proposed. Fidelity and stability are contradicting factors in teleoperation. Human hand trembling filtering is one of the problems in telemanipulation field. During every operation the hand has a certain vibration that can affect the quality of teleoperation, especially in carrying FPD (Flat Panel for Display), nanomanipuation and other precise tasks. It is very important to study the kinesthetic perception of the human and to optimize the teleoperation system accordingly. To cancel out the influence of human's hand vibration the signal from the masterarm should be filtered. One of the feasible solutions is to use an intelligent filter based on fuzzy logic, which is a very flexible instrument. Applying intelligent filtering methodology, we can use some heuristic methods to solve the filtering problem.

  • Wireless sensor network (WSN) is expected to be used in many applications. However, sensor nodes still have some secure problems to use them in the real applications. They are typically deployed on open, wide, and unattended environments. An adversary using these features can easily compromise the deployed sensor nodes and use compromised sensor nodes to inject fabricated data to the sensor network (false data injection attack). The injected fabricated data drains much energy of them and causes a false alarm. To detect and drop the injected fabricated data, a filtering-based security method and adaptive methods are proposed. The number of different partitions is important to make event report since they can make a correctness event report if the representative node does not receive message authentication codes made by the different partition keys. The proposed methods cannot guarantee the detection power since they do not consider the filtering scheme. We proposed clustering method for filtering-based secure methods. Our proposed method uses fuzzy system to enhance the detection power of a cluster.

  • 본 논문은 시간지연을 갖는 퍼지 시스템에 대한 보장 비용과 H/sub ∞/ 외란감쇄 성능을 갖는 퍼지 필터링 문제를 다룬다. 본 연구는 외란감쇄에 대한 확장 L₂ 노옴 제한조건과 LQ 비용함수의 성능 상한치 제한조건을 만족하는 필터링 설계 방법이다. Lyapunov 함수를 이용하여 필터의 존재성에 대한 충분조건을 유도하고 선형행렬부등식(LMI: linear matrix inequality)으로 나타낸다. 필터 설계는 LMI 해를 구함으로써 바로 구할 수 있다. 제안한 방법의 설계 과정을 설명하기 위한 시뮬레이션 예제를 또한 나타낸다.

Using Fuzzy Rating Information for Collaborative Filtering-based Recommender Systems

  • These days people are overwhelmed by information on the Internet thus searching for useful information becomes burdensome, often failing to acquire some in a reasonable time. Recommender systems are indispensable to fulfill such user needs through many practical commercial sites. This study proposes a novel similarity measure for user-based collaborative filtering which is a most popular technique for recommender systems. Compared to existing similarity measures, the main advantages of the suggested measure are that it takes all the ratings given by users into account for computing similarity, thus relieving the inherent data sparsity problem and that it reflects the uncertainty or vagueness of user ratings through fuzzy logic. Performance of the proposed measure is examined by conducting extensive experiments. It is found that it demonstrates superiority over previous relevant measures in terms of major quality metrics.

  • 분산환경을 기반으로 하는 멀티미디어 플랫폼은 분산 자원 관리를 위해 객체 그룹화에 큰 영향을 받는다. 본 논문에서는 분산 멀티미디어 환경에서 멀티미디어 객체 플랫폼을 위한 가중치와 퍼지 필터링을 이용한 객체 관리 플랫폼을 제안한다. 가중치와 퍼지 필터링 기법은 멀티미디어 객체들의 참조적 관계를 결정하기 위해 사용되며, 객체 플랫폼을 위해 객체 사전 구조를 제안한다.

  • There are many application areas of sensor networks, such as surveillance, hospital monitoring, and home network. These are dependent on the secure operation of networks, and will have serious outcome if the networks is injured. An adversary can inject false data into the network through the compromising node. Ye et al. proposed a statistical en-route filtering scheme (SEF) to detect such false data during forwarding process. In this scheme, it is important that the choice of the threshold value since it trades off security and overhead. This paper presents an adaptive threshold value determining method in the SEF using fuzzy logic. The fuzzy logic determines a security distance value by considering the situation of the network. The Sensor network is divided into several areas by the security distance value, it can each area to uses the different threshold value. The fuzzy based threshold value can reduce the energy consumption in transmitting.

  • 협력 필터링은 다수의 상업용 추천 시스템에서 구현되어 온라인 사용자들에게 성공적으로 서비스되고 있는 핵심적 기술이다. 이 기술은 현 사용자와 유사한 평가이력을 가진 다른 사용자들로부터 항목을 추천하기 때문에, 유사도 척도는 시스템 성능에 매우 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서는 기존 유사도 측정 방법의 문제점을 해결하고자 퍼지 논리에 입각하여 사용자 평가등급의 주관성 및 모호성과 사용자들의 평가 행태를 반영하는 새로운 유사도 척도를 제안한다. 성능 평가를 위한 다양한 실험을 실시하였고, 그 결과 제안 방법은 예측 정확도와 추천 정확도 면에서 우수한 성능 개선 효과를 보였다.

Pathway Retrieval for Transcriptome Analysis using Fuzzy Filtering Technique andWeb Service

  • In biology the advent of the high-throughput technology for sequencing, probing, or screening has produced huge volume of data which could not be manually handled. Biologists have resorted to software tools in order to effectively handle them. This paper introduces a bioinformatics tool to help biologists find potentially interesting pathway maps from a transcriptome data set in which the expression levels of genes are described for both case and control samples. The tool accepts a transcriptome data set, and then selects and categorizes some of genes into four classes using a fuzzy filtering technique where classes are defined by membership functions. It collects and edits the pathway maps related to those selected genes without analyst' intervention. It invokes a sequence of web service functions from KEGG, which an online pathway database system, in order to retrieve related information, locate pathway maps, and manipulate them. It maintains all retrieved pathway maps in a local database and presents them to the analysts with graphical user interface. The tool has been successfully used in identifying target genes for further analysis in transcriptome study of human cytomegalovirous. The tool is very helpful in that it can considerably save analysts' time and efforts by collecting and presenting the pathway maps that contain some interesting genes, once a transcriptome data set is just given.

퍼지노리를 이용한 Bin-Picking방법 (A Fuzzy Logic Based Bin-Picking Technique)

  • A novel 2-dimensional matched filter of the parallel-jaw type using fuzzy logic is proposed for bin picking. Specifically, the averaged pixel intensity of the windowed region for the filtering is considered to be fuzzy. Also membership functions for darkness and brightness are designed by employing the intensity histogram of the image. Then a rule is given to know how much a windowed region can be a possible holdsite. Furthermore eight rules are made to determine the part orientation, where Mamdani's reasoning method is applied. The proposed technique shows better performances than that of the conventional matched filtering technique in the following senses` 1) most of holdsites determined by the proposed technique are not concentrated at the locations nearly the end of part and 2) our filter is rather insensitive to noises than the conventional method. To show the validities of our proposed technique, some experimental results are illustrated and compared with the results by conventional matched filter technique.

  • 관상동맥 중재술은 관상동맥 조영술과 동시에 치료를 시행하는 방법으로 심도관 검사의 핵심으로 자리잡았다. 관상동맥중재술 시에는 혈관의 협착지점에 스텐트를 삽입하여야 하기 때문에 혈관의 손상이나 파열에 주의하여야 한다. 이에 시술자는 혈관의 손상이나 파열의 문제를 해결하기 위해 혈관의 경로를 정확하게 인식하여야 한다. 하지만 영상의 화질에 따른 문제들로 인하여 혈관의 경로추출에 오류를 범할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 영상의 화질에 영향을 미치는 영상잡음에 대한 성능평가를 위하여 전처리 과정으로 미디언 필터링을 실시하였고 비교 실험을 위해 소벨 에지 추출 기법을 이용하여 퍼지 에지 추출 기법의 성능을 실험하였다. 그 결과 미디언 필터링을 적용한 퍼지 에지추출 기법의 영상이 잡음 제거와 신호의 검출 성능이 우수하게 나타났다.
