내통의 플래시 및 충진불량에 대한 해결방법에 관한 연구 (A study on the flashes and filling defects of inner part and on problem-solving measures)

  • Inner part is used as an insulator in wire fuses. After injection molding, inner part has been showed flashes, filling defects and deformation. After production, operators have to cut off flashes, one by one. this process leads to continuous low productivity and loss of source materials. This study focuses on identifying the causes for flashes, filling defects, clamping force of injectors, mold adhesion, resin of liquidity and others, and on resolving those issues.

  • There has been confusion in the classification of terminal myelocystocele (TMCC) due to its diverse morphology and vague pathoembryogenesis. TMCC could be summarized as having the essential features of an elongated caudal spinal cord extruding out of the dorsal extraspinal space that fuses with the subcutaneous fat, which is in the shape of a trumpet-shaped cerebrospinal fluid-filled cyst. The extraspinal portion of the extruded spinal cord is nonfunctional. The morphological features suggest that TMCC is formed during secondary neurulation, specifically the failure of the degeneration of the secondary neural tube near the time of the terminal balloon. This review discusses the definition, as well as the clinical and surgical features, of TMCC with special emphasis on its pathoembryogenesis.

  • "Always-on" small ventilators are likely to experience thermal decomposition of insulating material due to thermal, electrical, mechanical and environmental influences, and lose insulating properties by the process of oxidation and physiochemical reaction. This increases the risk of electrical fire because of layer short, short circuit, overload and Plastics are usually used to make ventilator and ventilator enclosures since they make less noise and are cheaper. Although more preferred than iron, plastic, a combustible material, has a higher risk of fire. In this study, several experiments were carried out to find out how RCD(Residual Current Protective Device) and Thermal fuses, which are electric motor protection devices, work and what needs to be done to reduce the risk of fire.

  • This paper presents a measuring technique for bursting height of proximity fuses. This technique uses camera calibration to obtain the perspective transformation matrix describing the projection of the world coordinates to image coordinates, and calculates the world coordinates of bursting points from their image coordinates. The surface approximation algorithm by polynomial functions are also implemented.

  • An integrating position estimation algorithm has been developed for the navigation system of a free-ranging AGV system. The navigation system focused in this research work consists of redundant wheel encoders for the relative position measurement and a vision sensor for the absolute position measurement. A maximum likelihood method and an extended Kalman filter are implemented for enhancing the performance of the position estimator. The maximum likelihood estimator processes noisy, redundant wheel encoder measurements and yields efficient estimates for the AGV motion between each sampling interval. The extended Kalman filter fuses inharmonious positional data from the deadreckoner and the vision sensor and computes the optimal position estimate. The simulation results show that the proposed position estimator solves a generalized estimation problem for locating the vehicle accurately in space.

  • For limitation and interruption of short circuit currents from low voltage to extra high voltage applications, the electrical equipment including fuses and circuit breakers, are widely used today. But in order to anticipate increasing needs for effective and competitive device for limiting the growing fault current in electrical power systems, fault current limitation technologies and fault current limitation devices are widely introduced and investigated in these days. Furthermore, the applications of high temperature superconducting materials (HTSC) into the current limiting devices are new approach for developing of novel and effective col-rent limitation electrical equipment. In this research, the necessities of current limitation technology and the developed and developing current limitation devices for power systems are introduced. Finally, the investigation of resistive type fault current limiters which is under development by LG and KEPCO were introduced.

고무차륜 경량전철의 충돌안전도 연구 (A Study on Crashworthiness of Rubber Tired AGT)

  • In the standard specifications for the urban EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) train, there are several items to ensure safety against accidents. The 21st to the 23rd items have much to do with the crashworthiness of the urban EMU train. In this study, a rubber-tired Automated Guide-way Transit (AGT) System under development by KRRI is numerically evaluated from the point of view of crashworthiness by applying the above crashworthiness items. The numerical results show that the design of the AGT satisfies the 22nd and 23rd items. But a design modification to adopt mechanical fuses is recommended to reduce impact accelerations with respect to the 21st item.

Near-infrared face recognition by fusion of E-GV-LBP and FKNN

  • To solve the problem of face recognition with complex changes and further improve the efficiency, a new near-infrared face recognition algorithm which fuses E-GV-LBP and FKNN algorithm is proposed. Firstly, it transforms near infrared face image by Gabor wavelet. Then, it extracts LBP coding feature that contains space, scale and direction information. Finally, this paper introduces an improved FKNN algorithm which is based on spatial domain. The proposed approach has brought face recognition more quickly and accurately. The experiment results show that the new algorithm has improved the recognition accuracy and computing time under the near-infrared light and other complex changes. In addition, this method can be used for face recognition under visible light as well.

  • 자동차 수의 증가와 함께 자동차 화재 또한 꾸준한 증가 추세에 있다. 본 연구에서는 자동차 화재의 여러 요인들 중 자동차 출고 이후에 사용자에 의하여 변형된 부분, 즉 자동차 튜닝으로 인하여 화재가 발생할 가능성을 입증하고자 하였다. 실험 결과 전조등의 밝기를 향상시키기 위한 교체, 멀티시거잭 배선의 허용전류를 초과하여 전기장치를 사용하는 경우, 전선의 손상, 그리고 시중에서 튜닝용으로 구입하여 사용하는 전기배선의 취약성 등이 화재 가능성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

인공위성 전력 시스템 보호를 위한 퓨즈 선정 기법 연구 (A Study on the Fuse Sizing Technique for the Protection of Satellite Power System)

  • 인공위성의 전력 시스템을 보호하기 위해서 퓨즈나 LCL (Latching Current Limiter) 등을 부하와 전원 공급 장치 사이에 연결한다. 본 논문에서는 인공위성에서 장착되는 퓨즈의 용량 선정 기법에 대해 논하였다. 퓨즈 용량 선정 방법에 대해 기술하였고, 병렬 (Parallel) 퓨즈 연결 방식을 수학식으로도 단일 (Single) 퓨즈 연결 방식으로 나타낼 수 있음을 보였다. 또한, 퓨즈에 연결되는 부하의 정확한 전류 특성이 알려지지 않은 상태에서 적절한 퓨즈 선정 기법을 새롭게 제시하였다.
