  • Most object-oriented analysis and design methodologies are based on structured analysis and information modeling and are using for intuitive analysis and design models based on object-oriented programming languages. Therefore there are many problems such as when a system is implemented incorrect semantics and inconsistency between models. This paper submits a decomposition and design method for object, dynamic and functional module of the methodology of a new system development life-cycle. Thus, we present a new system development life cycle, and suggestsa object-oriented design methodand standards of module decomposition for the decomposition of object, dynamic, functional models due to object-oriented design procedures and specifications. This proposed method enables developers to reflect user's software requirements conveniently. We prove the validity and practicality of this object-oriented design method through implementing a real-system.

  • For the activation and wide distribution of User Created Contents (UCC) sites have diversified user-created possibilities. Among these contents, User Created Game (UCG) sites are places where users can create and share their game contents with others. The method of UCG development can be classified into two categories according to the uses' level of professionalism. First, the method of using the authoring tools is suggested for those unfamiliar with the development or creation of contents. Although the authoring tool is easy to use, there are many functional limitations. Second, development using program languages is suggested for trained advanced users but has the limitation of a prolonged development period. This paper proposes a new method, generating the script which will expand the current functional limitations entailed behind the authoring tools used by first time and less trained users. In order to verify the proposed method in a real UCG development environment, a framework encompassing GUI, script generating function and program source generating function were constructed.

  • Electroencephalographic(EEG) is used to record activities of human brain in the area of psychology for many years. As technology developed, neural basis of functional areas of emotion processing is revealed gradually. So we measure fundamental areas of human brain that controls emotion of human by using EEG. Hands gestures such as shaking and head gesture such as nodding are often used as human body languages for communication with each other, and their recognition is important that it is a useful communication medium between human and computers. Research methods about gesture recognition are used of computer vision. Many researchers study Emotion Recognition method which uses one of EEG signals and Gestures in the existing research. In this paper, we use together EEG signals and Gestures for Emotion Recognition of human. And we select the driver emotion as a specific target. The experimental result shows that using of both EEG signals and gestures gets high recognition rates better than using EEG signals or gestures. Both EEG signals and gestures use Interactive Feature Selection(IFS) for the feature selection whose method is based on the reinforcement learning.

  • There are many researches on post-processing methods for the Korean continuous speech recognition enhancement using natural language processing techniques. It is very difficult to use a formal morphological analyzer for improving the speech recognition because the analysis technique of natural language processing is mainly for formal written languages. In this paper, we propose a speech recognition enhancement model using syntactic unit of morphemes. This approach uses the functional word level longest match which dose not consider spacing words. We describe the post-processing mechanism for the improving speech recognition by using proposed model which uses the relationship of phonological structure information between predicates md auxiliary predicates or bound nouns that are frequently occurred in Korean sentences.

Abstract Data parallelism is obtained by applying the same operations to each element of a data collection. In functional languages, iterative computations on data collections are expressed by recursions on recursive data structures. We propose a parallelization method for data-parallel implementation of such recursive functions. We employ polytypic data-parallel primitives to represent the parallel execution structure of the object programs, which enables data parallel execution with general recursive data structures, such as trees and lists. To transform sequential programs to their parallelized versions, we propose a method to classify the types of parallelism in subexpressions, based on the dependencies of the recursive calls, and generate the data-parallel programs using data-parallel primitives appropriately.

  • Programming that ensures concurrency is essential for developers. If you do not use it, it is hard to expect the speed of the program to improve unless there is technical advancement of the hardware itself. Programming languages that support good concurrency code include go, elixir, and scala. Python, which supports a number of useful libraries, also supports concurrent programming like asyncio and coroutine. This paper defines the concepts of concurrency and parallelism, and explains what to note when writing concurrency programming in Python. The crawler that collects web data is written in concurrent code and compared with programs written in sequential, multithreaded code.

  • This paper is motivated by Watanabe's (2001) observation that English byphrase passives are sometimes translated into Japanese object topicalization constructions. That is, the original English sentence in the passive may be translated into the active voice with the logical object topicalized. A number of scholars, including Chomsky (1981) and Baker (1992), have remarked that languages have various ways to avoid focusing on the logical subject. The aim of the present study is to examine the translation equivalents of the English by-phrase passives in an English-Korean parallel corpus compiled by the author. A small sample of articles from Newsweek magazine and its published Korean translation reveals that there are indeed many ways to translate English by-phrase passives, including object topicalization (12.5%). Among the 64 translated sentences analyzed and classified, 12 (18.8%) examples were problematic in terms of agent defocusing, which is the primary function of passives. Of these 12 instances, five cases were identified where an alternative translation would be more suitable. The results suggest that the functional characteristics of English by-phrase passives should be highlighted in translator training as well as language teaching.

  • The early-phase naval ship design demands requirements synthesis rather than design synthesis, which conducts engineering design for several domains on a detailed level. Requirements synthesis focuses on creating a balanced set of required operational capabilities satisfying user's needs and concept of operations. Requirements are evolved from capability based languages to function based language by statistical exploration and engineering design which are derived in the following order: concept alternative, concept baseline, initial baseline and functional baseline. The early-phase naval ship design process can be divided into three passes: concept definition, concept exploration and concept development. Main activities and outcomes in each pass are shortly presented. Concept definition is the first important step that produces a concept baseline through extensive design space exploration promptly. Design space exploration applies a statistical approach to explore design trends of existing ships and produce feasible design range corresponding to concept alternative. It further helps naval systems engineers and operational researchers by inducing useful responses to user and stakeholders' questions at a sufficient degree of confidence and success in the very early ship design. The focus of this paper is on the flow of design space exploration, and its application to a high-speed patrol craft. The views expressed in this paper are those of the authors, and do not reflect the official policy or rule of the Navy.
