  • We use Cauchy's functional equation to construct a new non-measurable set which is a (vector) subspace of \mathbb{R}$ and is of a codimensiion 1, considering \mathbb{R}$, the set of real numbers, as a vector space over a field \mathbb{Q}$ of rational numbers. Moreover, we show that \mathbb{R}$ can be partitioned into a countable family of disjoint non-measurable subsets.

  • Abstract. In this paper, for $a{\in}C$, we investigate functions $g_a$ and ${\psi}_a$ associated with three term relations. $g_a$ is defined by means of function ${\psi}_a$. By using these functions, we obtain some functional equations related to the Eisenstein series and the Riemann zeta function. Also we find a generalized difference formula of function $g_a$.

  • Ion channels of the transient receptor potential (TRP) superfamily are non-selective cationic channels with six transmembrane domains. The TRP channel made its first debut as a light-gated $Ca^{2+}$ channel in Drosophila. Recently, research on animal sensation in Drosophila disclosed other members of the TRP family that are required for touch sensation and hearing as well as the sensation of painful stimuli.

  • The present study investigated psychological closeness between grandmothers and their grandchildren and functional aspects of grandmothers in the Korean family. 219 grandchildren, fifth and sixth grade children of 5 elementary schools in Seoul completed questionnaires. The results showed that grandmothers in Korea are categorized in an institutional role characterized by status and role performance. Among social role theory, resource theory and system views, the social role theory best explained psychological closeness between grandmothers and grandchildren.

  • The family of q-Konhauser matrix polynomials have been extended to Konhauser matrix polynomials. The purpose of the present work is to show that an extension of the explicit forms, generating matrix functions, matrix recurrence relations and Rodrigues-type formula for these matrix polynomials are given, our desired results have been established and their applications are presented.

  • In Factory Automation environments such as FMS, the formation of machine-part based on GT should be considered. The purpose of this study is to develop a economic heuristic algorithm which considers various elements such as unit processing time, subcontract cost, and functional operation cost, machine processing capacity etc. When this proposed approach is applied to the real situation expected benefits are as follows: the reduction of production lead time work in process, labor force, tooling, rework and scrap, setup time, order time delivery, and paper work, etc.

  • In this paper, we present a fixed point theorem for a family of generalized condensing multimaps which have ranges of the Zima-Hadžić type in Hausdorff KKM uniform spaces. It extends Himmelberg et al. type fixed point theorem. As applications, we obtain some new collective fixed point theorems for various type generalized condensing multimaps in abstract convex uniform spaces.

  • Recently the author studied a one-parameter family of divergences and considered the related median minimization problem of finite points over these divergences in general symmetric cones. In this article, to utilize the results practically, we deal with a special symmetric cone called second order cone, which is important in optimization fields. To be more specific, concrete computations of divergences with its gradients and the unique minimizer of the median minimization problem of two points are provided skillfully.

  • Protein Arginine Methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5), a significant member of the PRMT family, is a promising anticancer target. In this study, novel small compounds that act against the PRMT5 target are found by combining virtual screening with ChEMBL database medicines and Density Functional Theory. The ChEMBL database compounds were screened to retrieve the hit molecules, which further subjected for DFT analysis. Finally we have evaluated that ChEMBL- approved drugs such as Lifitegrast, Abiraterone acetate and Solifenacin may be potential inhibitors for PRMT5.
