Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate individual awareness variables influencing emotional, normative, and functional marriage intentions of unmarried men and women. Independent variables were values of offspring, perceptions to unmarried life, attitudes toward multiple role planning, perceptions and availabilities of marriage-related policies, views on the marriageable age, psychological burdens of pressure to marriage by significant people, and views on parents' support for marriage fund. Method: 553 unmarried men and women in Daegu, Korea were surveyed, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, multivariate analysis of variance(MANOVA), multiple regression analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis with SPSS 22.0. Results: First, this study was more exploratory and in-depth approach to marriage intentions than precedent studies. The sub factors of marriage intentions were emotional, normative, and functional marriage ones. Second, emotional marriage intention showed significant differences depending on gender, dating, views on the marriageable age, and degree of acceptance of parents' support for marriage fund. Among the individual awareness variables, values of offspring, perceptions to unmarried life, attitudes toward multiple role planning, and psychological burdens of pressure to marriage personally or by friends influenced emotional marriage intention. Third, normative marriage intention showed significant differences depending on gender, religion, occupational status, employment condition, dating, views on the marriageable age, and degree of acceptance of parents' support for marriage fund. Among the individual awareness variables, values of offspring, perception to unmarried life, attitudes toward multiple role planning, view on the marriageable age, availabilities of marriage-related information offering policies, and psychological burdens of pressure to marriage by mother influenced normative marriage intention. Fourth, functional marriage intention showed significant differences depending on gender, job, parents' support for marriage fund, views on the marriageable age, and degree of acceptance of parents' support for marriage fund. Among the individual awareness variables, functional marriage intention was influenced by values of offspring, perception about unmarried life, attitudes toward multiple role planning, and degree of acceptance of parents' support for marriage fund. Finally, the hierarchical regression analysis showed that individual awareness variables influenced on marriage intentions. Especially, values of offspring, perceptions to unmarried, and attitudes toward multiple role planning influenced on emotional, normative, and functional marriage intentions in common. Conclusions: The findings from these analyses suggest that the selective process based on the individual awareness has become very significant to having marriage intentions. Therefore, this study will contribute as the basic data on national marriage-related policies. Furthermore, this study will be able to use to think about the marriage intention as a task to be preceded by the national policy in order to prepare for Korea 's low fertility and aging phenomenon.

In this paper, iterative algorithms for approximating a common fixed point of a countable family of multi-valued demicontractive maps in the setting of Hadamard spaces are presented. Under different mild conditions, the sequences generated are shown to strongly convergent and ∆-convergent to a common fixed point of the considered family, accordingly. Our theorems complement many results in the literature.

Purpose: This study was performed to examine the relationship between caregiver burden and health-related quality of life (HRQOL) in family caregivers of stroke patients in the community. Methods: Subjects were 33 stroke patients who had a experience of hospitalization during last 1 year and their family. Data were obtained from personal interview by nursing students in October, 2003. We assessed the functional status of stroke patients, caregiver burden and the HRQOL of caregivers using SF-8. Results: A higher subjective burden was related to dependent functional status of patients than independent(P<.01). The independent cognitive function of stroke patients and good health of caregivers were related to high HRQOL of caregivers. PCS and MCS of HRQOL were negatively correlated to subjective burden, -.34(p<.01) and -.37(p<.05). Conclusion: We founded functional status of stroke patients. caregiver burden and HRQOL of caregivers were related to each other. To improve the HRQOL of caregiver, decreasing burden of caregivers and the functional status improvement of stroke patients must be considered.

The purpose of this study was examining the effects of family sandplay therapy with structural family therapy in improving the family strengths of children with emotional and behavioral disorders. First, we looked for a way to combine family sandplay therapy with structural family therapy and formulated an approach that could maximize the strengths of each theory and complement each other's weaknesses. And then we applied family sandplay therapy together with structural family therapy and analyzed its effects on family strengths. The subjects of this study were 10 families of children with emotional and behavioral disorders, and they were divided into an experimental group with 5 families and a control group with the other 5. To the experimental group received 16 sessions of family sandplay therapy with structural family therapy. In order to prove the effectiveness of family sandplay therapy with structural family therapy on family strengths, a family relationship( husband-wife relationship, parent-child relationship, and sibling relationship) scale and a family function(family cohesion, family adaptability) scale were used. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, the family relationships of the families with emotional-behavioral disorder children were improved after the application of family sandplay therapy with structural family therapy. Second, the application of family sandplay therapy with structural family therapy improved the family function of families with emotional-behavioral disorder children. Third, in the course of family sandplay therapy with structural family therapy, family sand tray was changed in a pro-healing direction, and family structure was also transformed from a dysfunctional structure to a functional one. As previously stated, family sandplay therapy with structural family therapy for families of children with emotional and behavioral disorders enhanced family strengths through improving family relationships and restoring family functions.

Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a major health problem resulting in significant burden for patients and families. However, family caregivers' burden has not been well recognized. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the level of caregivers' burden and to explore the related factors based on family, patient, and social support factors. Methods: A face-to-face interview with 86 family caregivers who had been taking care of COPD patients was conducted. The participants answered a self-administered questionnaire. The questionnaire included the level of family caregivers' burden, health status and the relationship within the family, functional limitation of patients perceived by family caregivers and the social support. Results: The level of caregivers' burden among participants was considerably high. Risk factors for caregivers' burden included low educational level of family caregivers, low family income, hours of caregiving, and functional limitation of the patients. Protective factors for caregivers' burden were good relationship within the family and support from other family members or friends. Conclusion: It is proved that family caregivers are facing significant burden in taking care of COPD patients. To reduce family caregivers' burden, it is necessary to address socioeconomic status of the family and to provide various community resources including financial support and nursing services.

The PRD1 DNA polymerase is a small multi-functional enzyme containing conserved amino acid sequences shared by family B DNA polymerases. Thus the PRD1 DNA polymerase provides an useful model system with which to study structure-functional relationships of DNA polymerase molecules. In order to investigate the functional and structural roles of the highly conserved amino acid sequences, we have introduced three mutations into a conserved amino acid of the PRD1 DNA polymerase. Genetic complememtation study indicated that each mutation inactivated DNA polymerase catalytic activity.

Housing culture has rapidly changed since apartments were first introduced in the 1970's. Among our living spaces, particularly, the kitchen reflects our lifestyle and its changes are more remarkable. Activities in kitchen areas include a diverse range of behaviors such as greeting guests, conversation, and family gathering besides cooking and dining. kitchen areas would not be the dedicated housewives' area, but rather a space for all family members. Kitchen areas become a 'living center' where all family members get together and have various family activity. This housing project was designed for the double income family who is consisted of 4 persons. The total area of Apt was 237.6M2. A residence is always comfortable, resting, and consistent for the family. Intimacy image, functional equipments and space, healthy materials were used for this project.
