단축형 ICF 핵심지표로 측정한 뇌졸중 환자의 기능상태 (Assessing the Functional Status of Acute Stroke Patients using ICF Core Set-short Form)

  • Purpose: The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) model was proposed by the World Health Organization for enhancing interdisciplinary communication. The purpose of this study was to examine the functional status of acute stroke patients using ICF core sets-short form. Methods: A set of 15 ICF items on functional status was used by nurses for their daily nursing assessment on functional status in 44 acute stroke patients in a university hospital. Results: The highest level of function was "consciousness", while the lowest was "defecation". Compared with functional status on the first day, consciousness, ingestion, language (mental), and defecation functions were significantly improved on the 14th day. However, there was no significant changes in items on activity and participation or environmental functions. Conclusion: These findings suggest that the function-specific nursing interventions for acute stroke patients need to be developed. Future research needs to test the usefulness of ICF items as an measurement tool.

  • The Functional Independence Measure (FIM) is widely used to determine the dependency of activity of daily living in rehabilitation patients. The purposes of this study were to evaluate the unidimentionality of the FIM physical items and to analyze the validity of cross-functional levels in stroke survivors in Korea. Thirteen physical items of FIM were rated according to an ordinal scale of a 7-level classification. Two hundred and seventy-nine patients participated in the study (age range 18~92 years and 57% male). Six items-eating, bladder control, bowel control, transfer to and from the bed/wheelchair, transfer to and from the toilet, and bathing-showed misfits with the Rasch model. The most difficult item was 'bathing', the easiest item was 'bowel control'. Although there were several differences within functional levels, the hierarchical order of item measures was rather similar. 'Bathing' was the most difficult in high level patients (above 60), however 'stairs' was most difficult in the middle level (41~60) group. In the low level group (below 40), 'toileting' was the most difficult. In conclusion, the present study has shown several differences of item difficulty among functional levels. This result will be useful in planning interventions, and developing rehabilitation programs for stroke survivors.

Functional Connectivity with Regions Related to Emotional Regulation is Altered in Emotional Laborers

  • Emotional labor, characterized by a dysfunctional type of emotional regulation called surface acting, has detrimental psychological consequences on employees, including depression and social anxiety. Because such disorders exhibit psychological characteristics manifested through brain activation, previous studies have succeeded in distinguishing individuals with depression and social anxiety from healthy controls using their functional connectivity characteristics. However, it has not been established whether the functional connectivity characteristics associated with emotional labor are distinguishable. Thus, we obtained resting-state fMRI data from participants in the emotion labor (EL) group and control (CTRL) group, and we subjected their whole-brain functional connectivity matrices to a linear support vector machine classifier. Our analysis revealed that the EL and CTRL groups could be successfully distinguished on the basis of individuals' connectivity patterns, and confidence in the classification was correlated with the scores on the depression and social anxiety scales. These results are expected to provide insight on the neurobiological characteristics of emotional labor and enable the sorting of employees undergoing adverse emotional labor utilizing neurobiological observations.

실내 소품의 분류와 주거공간에서의 적용 경향 (The Classification and Application Tendency of Interior Accessories in Korean Residential Spaces)

  • The purpose of this study is to grasp the application tendency of interior accessories in Korean residential spaces. The main resources were selected documents and articles with pictures published 27 years, from 1976 to 2002, in Modern House, which is the first magazine for the residential space in Korea. The major findings are summarized as follows: 1) Interior accessories were investigated more for functional reasons than decorative reasons. Despite the belief that interior accessories are Primarily for decoration purposes, this study proves that the functional elements are more important as part of the Korean interior. 2) The kind and the amount of interior accessories applied in residential space were decreasing in most accessories as well as in master bedroom, and living rooms from 1994 to 2002. 3) The number of application to Korean traditional accessories in residential space decreases as time goes by. Although they were used as functional accessories as the role of antiques in present.

충주 및 주변지역 산지습지의 판별 및 식생 구조 (The Discrimination and Vegetation Structure of Several Mountainous Wetlands in Chung-ju and Around Area)

  • This study was surveyed to analyze vegetation structure of mountainous wetlands in Chung-ju city and around area from September to November, 2006. 6 sites of total 15 potential mountainous wetlands were discriminated throughout field survey. By classification system of mountainous wetlands presented in manual of forest wetlands research, types of wetlands were classified into slant and a flat. Many sites were covered with land plants as Pueraria thunbergiana and so on. To understand vegetation structure of mountainous wetlands, Height, DBH (diameter at breast height), DI (Dominance Index), Sociability and Constancy were surveyed and Based on this result, a projection chart was drawn. As results, Salix koreensis in tree layer and Persicaria thunbergii and Impatiens textori in herb layer were surveyed as broadly distributed species. This study is mainly focused on vegetation condition of mountainous wetlands. But, it will be needed studying on classification system of mountainous wetland type and functional assessment for conservation or management of wetlands.

동물에 나타난 스트라이프의 조형적 특성을 이용한 패션디자인 연구 (A Study on Fashion Design Utilizing Formative Characteristics of Animal Stripes)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the formative characteristics of animal stripes based on the colors, shapes and texture through classification standards under functional meanings, and it also aims to produce various stripe patterns based on its outcome to develop modern fashion design. For the study method, specialty publications, preceding researches and internet websites were utilized for the purpose of theoretical discussion on animal stripes. And it is also to examine functional meanings formed by animal stripes in order to analyze the characteristics of stripes; subsequently, based on the classification standard of this function, it is to identify the distinction of its colors through quantitative analysis on formative characteristics and colors. By using the following analyzed color palette of stripes, various stripe patterns were developed and designed with the sense of modern fashion while repeatedly using the shape with systematic colors and rhythms displayed on the animals. As a result of this study, it was confirmed that animal stripes possess a regularity that is systematic and can be digitized. After identifying, analyzing and systemizing formative characteristics of animal stripes, a concept of division and competition was applied; subsequently, whole new stripe patterns were developed and designed in order to further promote fashion design.

도심복합시설의 공간용도구성 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Space Composition Characteristics in the Urban Complex Building)

  • The city means not only a geographical area as a role of the spatial boundary, but also a socio-economic place to communicate with each area. It requires various functions to get the income and economic-activities. But city has a limitation of a available land to provide the required functions and a sufficient space to supply the urban activity. Therefore, the development trend of city has not been to spread to the horizontal area any more and considered the vertical area. In addition, various functions put into a massive building because many people want to solve the daily requirements without spending time and cost in outer area. In this paper, it aimed at classifying the mixed-use building into function, circulation, relation according to the public and private space and the building shape to provide the design information such as land area, functional complex, accessibility, etc.. The classification of the mixed-use buildings is divided into four areas. The data are collected with foreign countries in Japan, Europe and US. Results of the study are as follows; First, the commercial function is mainly centered with other functions. Second, after studied the development scale, accessibility, building form, the commercial and residential area overwhelmly share at the total area.

The Development and Selection of SSR Markers for Identification of Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) Varieties in Korea

  • The groundnut or cultivated peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) in Korea consists of 36 domestic varieties which have been developed and registered as cultivars for the public during last 25 years. To screen and identify of Korean peanut varieties and genetic resources, we present a simple and reliable method. A methodology based on simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers developed and widely used for prominent gene identification and variety discrimination. For identification of those 36 Korean peanut varieties, 238 unique peanut SSR markers were selected from some previously reported results, synthesized and used for polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Data were taken through acryl amide gel electrophoresis and changed into proper formats for application of data mining analysis using Biomine (all-in-one functional genomics data mining program). Consequently, twelve SSR primers were investigated and revealed the differences between those 36 varieties. These primer pairs amplified 27 alleles with an average of 2.3 allele per primer pair. In addition, those results showed genetic relationship by classification method within 36 varieties. The approach described here could be applied to monitoring of our varieties and adapting to peanut breeding program.

공간분석(空間分析)모델링에 의한 산지(山地)의 토사붕괴방재기능(土砂崩壞防災機能) 적합도(適合度) 평가(評價) (Application of Spatial Analysis Modeling to Evaluating Functional Suitability of Forest Lands against Land Slide Hazards)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 토사붕괴산지재해에 대한 산지의 기능적합도 평가를 위한 공간분석모델링기법을 개발하기 위해 수행되었다. 기능적합도는 산지의 토사붕괴 가능성에 따라 상, 중, 하의 3단계로 구분되었다. 토사붕괴의 가능성온 경사, 모암, 토심, 경사형태, 임상 및 임목의 직경급과 같은 7개의 입지인자들에 대한 측정치를 이용하여 추정되었고, 이 과정에 토사붕괴 발생 요인으로서 각 인자들의 상대적 가중치는 AHP기법에 의해 결정되었다. 공간분석모델링은 7개 입지인자들에 대한 $25m{\times}25m$ grid 분석 혹은 TIN 분석을 통해 기초 layer 작성에서 시작된다. 이를 토대로 재분류 및 점수화 과정을 거쳐 토사붕괴 가능성 추정에 필요한 인자들의 속성 값을 지니는 새로운 layer를 형성한다. 이러한 속성 값에 가중치를 적용하고 지도대수분석을 통해 $25m{\times}25m$ cell 단위의 기능평가도를 작성하고, 마지막으로 cell-grouping을 통해 보다 실무적인 기능도를 작성하게 된다. 이 논문은 이러한 일련의 공간분석모델링 과정을 방법론적 관점에서 제시한다.

범주형 자료에 대한 데이터 마이닝 분류기법 성능 비교 (Comparison of Data Mining Classification Algorithms for Categorical Feature Variables)

  • In this paper, we compare the performance of three data mining classification algorithms(neural network, decision tree, logistic regression) in consideration of various characteristics of categorical input and output data. $2^{4-1}$. 3 fractional factorial design is used to simulate the comparison situation where factors used are (1) the categorical ratio of input variables, (2) the complexity of functional relationship between the output and input variables, (3) the size of randomness in the relationship, (4) the categorical ratio of an output variable, and (5) the classification algorithm. Experimental study results indicate the following: decision tree performs better than the others when the relationship between output and input variables is simple while logistic regression is better when the other way is around; and neural network appears a better choice than the others when the randomness in the relationship is relatively large. We also use Taguchi design to improve the practicality of our study results by letting the relationship between the output and input variables as a noise factor. As a result, the classification accuracy of neural network and decision tree turns out to be higher than that of logistic regression, when the categorical proportion of the output variable is even.
