차원 축소된 표면파 투과 함수와 인공신경망을 이용한 콘크리트의 균열 깊이 평가 기법 (Dimensionality Reduced Wave Transmission Function and Neural Networks for Crack Depth Estimation in Concrete)

  • Determination of crack depth in filed using the self-calibrating surface wave transmission measurement and the cutting frequency in the transmission function (TRF) is very difficult due to variations of the measurement conditions. In this study, it is proposed to use the measured full TRF as a feature for crack depth assessment. A principal component analysis (PCA) is employed to generate a basis of the measured TRFs for various crack cases. The measured TRFs are represented by their projections onto the most significant principal components. Then artificial neural networks (NNs) using the PCA-compressed TRFs is applied to assess the crack in concrete. Experimental study is carried out for five different crack cases to investigate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Results reveal that the proposed method can be effectively used for the crack depth assessment of concrete structures.

실선 시험에 의한 소성어업의 동요특성 (Experimental analysis on the motion response of the small fishing boat toward wave direction)

  • The motion of a small boat in seas is affected in relatively higher degrees than the case of a larger ship by the specific characteristics of sea waves, i.e., the wave length and height. Ship's motion caused by sea waves is a matter of special importance to small fishing boats, because they carry out fishing job in rough seas frequently. This is an experimental study on the rolling and pitching motions of full scale ship. In the experiment, the ship's motions were measured for head, how, beam, quarter and following seas. The experiment were carried out on board the training ship Pusan 404(160 GT) in the adjacent waters off NAM HYENG JAE DO on Dec. 13th 1994. The sea condition during the measurements was that wave height 2.5m, no swell and the wind velocity of 12 m/sec. Some statistic considerations were given to the observed data by the series analysis methods and discussed in this paper.

A Study on the Resistance and Wake Characteristics of a Full Ship Series

  • A series of towing tank tests were carried out for 18 full ship models of high block coefficients. The resistance coefficients and wake distribution at the propeller plane were measured and carefully examined. Regression analysis was employed to find out the relationships with the hull form parameters. Equations for wave resistance coefficient, form factor, and nominal wake are given. A harmonic analysis of measured wake was performed to look into the influence of the local stern shape on the magnitude of fluctuating wake components at three different radii. The amplitude of wake harmonics was also expressed by regression quations. It was found that the regression formulas were very useful in estimating resistance and circumferential wake characteristics of full ship models. It was also considered that the formulas presented in this paper could be utilized in the hull form improvement in a preliminary design.

  • Deep-sea fishing vessel No. 501 Oryong was fully flooded through its openings and sunk to the bottom of the sea due to the very rough sea weather on the way of evasion after a fishing operation in the Bearing Sea. As a result, many crew members died and/or were missing. In this study, a full-scale ship flooding and sinking simulation was conducted, and the sinking process was analyzed for the precise and scientific investigation of the sinking accident using a highly advanced Modeling & Simulation (M&S) system of the Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) analysis technique. To objectively secure the weather and sea states during the sinking accident in the Bering Sea, time-based wind and wave simulation at the region of the sinking accident was conducted and analyzed, and the weather and sea states were realized by simulating the irregular strong wave and wind spectrums. Simulation scenarios were developed and full-scale ship and fluid (air & seawater) modeling was performed for the flooding sinking simulation, by investigating the hull form, structural arrangement & weight distribution, and exterior inflow openings and interior flooding paths through its drawings, and by estimating the main tank capacities and their loading status. It was confirmed that the flooding and sinking accident was slightly different from a general capsize and sinking accident according to the simple loss of stability.

저역통과 LC필터를 가진 전브리지형 인버터로 구동되는 3상유동전동기의 속도제어 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Speed Control System of a 3 phase Induction Motor driven by the Full Bridge Inverter with a Low Pass LC Filter)

  • The variable frequency and variable voltage AC source made by a conventional inverter which is composed of power semi-conductors includes much noises in sine wave due to high frequency switching of DC source. In this paper the 3rd low pass LC filter for a variable speed 3 phase induction motor driven by a full bridge inverter is introduced to solve the EMI problem by serious noise current. The utility of a modified 3rd order Butterworth LC filter is confirmed through FFT analysis of sine waves and noiseless ACsource can be obtained by the proposed LC filter. The speed of a 3 phase induction motor driven by a full bridge inverter with a LC filter is satisfactorily controlled by a digital PID controller under the condition of stepwise load and setpoint changes.

정확한 Closed-Form 그린함수를 이용한 코플래너 도파로 불연속 해석 (Analysis of Coplanar Waveguide Discontinuities Using Accurate Closed-Form Green's function)

  • 실수축 상의 적분 방법에 의한 정확한 closed-form 그린함수를 이용하여 코플래너 도파로의 불연속에 대한 공간영역 full-wave 해석을 하였다. MPIE(Mixed Potential Integral Equation)를 풀기 위한 수치계산 방법으로는 삼각형 요소를 이용한 갤러킨 방법을 사용하였다. 경계면에서 삼각형 요소상의 기저함수로는 선형함수를 사용하였으며, 관측점과 전원점이 일치하는 특이점 근방의 적분 계산을 위해 면적분을 선적분 형태로 바꾸어 피적분 함수의 특이점이 사라지도록 하는 해석적인 방법을 사용하였다. 실수축 적분방법에 의한 그린함수를 이용함으로써 불연속에 대한 정확한 특성을 구하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 무한 주기구조로 근사할 수 있는 전파 흡수체의 전파특성을 혼성 유한요소법을 이용하여 해석한 결과를 기술하였다. 가상의 경계면을 설정하여 유한한 영역을 정의하였고, 영역의 각각의 경계면에서 유효한 경계조건을 Floquet 이론으로부터 유도하였다. 고차 Floquet 모드가 사용되었으므로, 본 논문에서의 방법은 파장에 비교할 수 있을 정도로 큰 주기를 가진 구조의 경우에도 적용이 가능하다. 표면적분 계산의 어려움을 줄이기 위해 표면에 수직인 전자계 성분을 표면에 수평인 성분으로 표현하였다. 계산된 결과를 해석적인 해 또는 기존에 발표된 결과와 비교하여 해석의 유효성을 증명하였다.

수직으로 전이되는 마이크로스트립의 접지용 방사형 스터브 (Grounding Radial Stub for the Vertical Microstrip Transition)

  • 본 논문에서는 고집적 3차원 초고주파 소자 및 모듈에서 발생되는 수직 전이 구조의 효과적인 연결을 위하여 방사형 스터브 (radial stub)를 사용한 접지 방법을 제시하였다. 제안된 구조는 완전 해석법 (full-wave analysis)인 유한 요소법 (finite element method)을 이용하여 해석하였고 제작을 통하여 그 결과를 검증하였다. 해석결과, 2.S~6.3 GHB 주파수 범위에서 반사손실 (return loss) IS dB 이상, 삽입손 실 (insertion loss) 0.5 dB 이하의 특성을 가짐을 확인하였다. 본 해석 결과는 고집적, 소형화를 위한 3차 원 구조를 갖는 초고주파 소자 및 모듈의 공통 접지 연결을 위해 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

스펙트럴 영역에서 DGS 슬롯 임피던스 특성 해석 및 LPF 응용 (Impedance Analysis of DGS Slot in Spectral Domain and Its Application of LPF(Low Pass Filter))

  • 본 논문은 스펙트럴 영역에서 마이크로스트립 선로의 접지면에 있는 DGS 슬롯의 임피던스 특성을 구하고, 이를 스텝 임피던스 마이크로스트립 저역 통과 필터 특성 개선에 응용하였다. 슬롯 해석에 사용한 방법은 슬롯에 의한 불연속으로 인한 전압과 스펙트럴 영역에서 self-reaction을 이용한 방법이다. 이 방법을 이용한 수치 해석 결과는 full-wave 방법의 결과와 비교해도 정확하다는 것을 보였다. 그리고 기존 스텝 임피던스 마이크로스트립 저역 통과 필터의 주파수 특성을 개선하기 위해서, 균일한 또는 비균일한 DGS 슬롯을 갖는 필터를 설계 제작하였다. 실험 결과를 통해, 제안된 스텝 임피던스 저역 통과 필터는 기존 필터보다 차단 대역이 넓어지고 차단주파수 이후 급격한 차단 특성과 같은 개선된 필터 특성을 확인할 수 있었다.

일 유입유량 변동과 공정내 표면파 전파속도 상관성 분석 (Analysis of relationship between daily inflow rate fluctuation and surface wave transfer velocity in water treatment processes)

  • The fluctuation of inlet flow to a water treatment plant makes a serious problem that it can change the outlet flow-rate from each process abruptly, and ultimately occur the detachment of the attached particles inside each unit process. Also, since it takes very short time for the surface wave occurred from the fluctuation of inlet flow to reach the latter processes, it is impossible for operators to cope with that stably. Therefore this study was conducted to suggest the methodology for accurately predicting the travel time of surface wave occurred from the fluctuation of inlet flow to reach the latter process. Through the experiment, which was carried out for the full-scale water treatment plants(capacity : 2,000m3/d), it could be confirmed that the flow rate fluctuation from equalization tank produce the surface wave. And the wave transfer velocity is a function of the hydraulic radius and the length of each open type tanks which are comprised in the latter processes.
