외식엽체에서 제공하는 서비스 품질에 대한 고객과 서비스 제공자의 인식의 차이점 분석 (Examination of the Gap between Customer's Perception and Foodservice Provider's Perception of Service Quality in Restaurants)

  • A significant gap can exist between what customers expect in foodservice and what service providers deliver to customers. Reducing the gap and enhancing service quality plays a key role in increasing customer satisfaction and repurchase intentions. The purpose of this study was to investigate the personal and operational characteristics that affect the customer perceptions of service quality, to analyze the overall satisfaction and repurchase intention of customers, and to study the service quality gap between customer and foodservice provides. 427 customers and 278 foodservice providers in 82 fast food and family restaurants were surveyed. T-test, ANOVA, Correlation Analysis, and Multiple Regression were used for statistical analysis, The results of this study were as follows: 1) Among the personal characteristics of customers, sex affected the preception of 'General Management' and 'Reputation', and the expense per person showed a correlation with service quality. 2) Among the operational characteristics, the type of restaurant, months since opening, and the number of seats had a significant impact on service quality, while the seat turnover rate showed a negative correlation with service quality. 3) Among the human resource characteristics, the proportion of part-time employees had a negative correlation with service quality, and in general, the training program for full-time employees led to a higher degree of customer perception of service quality. 4) Six dimensions of service quality accounted for 38.39% of customer satisfaction in Multiple Regression. 5) The overall satisfaction of customers willing to repurchase was significantly higher than that of the non-repurchase customers. 6) The operational characteristics explained over 35% for the service quality gap among the customers and the service providers in Multiple Regression.

전문직 취업모의 자녀관리 현황조사 (A Survey of the Current Child Care Practices of Professional Working Mothers)

  • The present study investigated the current child care practices of professional working mothers in Korea and their needs for substitute child care outside the home. Three hundred twenty-two professional working mothers who have children under 6 years of age in Seoul, Pusan, Taegu, and Taejon were surveyed with the use of a questionnaire. It was found that during their working hours, most of the professional working mothers put their children in the care of either the paternal or the maternal grandmothers. Others put the children in the care of a full-time housekeeper or a part-time housekeeper. While all the mothers had worked out a way to care for their children, almost all of them would use day care if facilities were available. Specifically, 42 per cent prefer child care at their work site, 21 per cent prefer family day care, and only 3 per cent indicated that they would not use any child care facilities. Most of the working mothers think that their employer should manage the day care program. Others prefer social agency or government management. Regarding costs, most prefer that costs should be split 50-50 between the employer and the family. In addition, professional working mothers wanted quality programs with educational components rather than mere custodial care. It was concluded that variety in types of quality child care programs should be available to provide working mothers the options of choosing what they want for their children. The main type of programs suggested by this study is work site based child care for children under 3 years of age. The existing law for the Saemaul Nursery School program should be implemented so as to include programs for children under 3.

유아 사교육비 실태 및 결정요인 분석 (An Analysis of Private Learning Expenses of Young Children and its Determining Factors)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 만3~5세 유아의 사교육비 실태와 사교육 지출을 결정하는 요인을 알아보는 데 있다. 구체적으로, 아동 연령 및 이용 기관유형, 모 취업여부, 가구소득에 따른 사교육 실시 여부와 사교육비를 살펴보고, 사교육비 지출을 결정하는 요인을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 전국 125개 조사구에 거주하는 976가구의 자녀 만 3~5세 유아 1,648명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료 분석을 위하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, $X^2$검증, F검증, Duncan 사후검증, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 3~5세 유아 중 86.7%가 사교육을 받고 있고, 연령이 높을수록, 가구소득이 높을수록, 유치원을 이용하는 아동이 사교육을 많이 받았다. 사교육비는 평균 129,700원으로 가구소득이 많을수록, 아동 연령이 높을수록, 어머니가 미취업일수록, 출생순위가 높을수록 유아에게 지출되는 사교육비 규모가 유의미하게 커졌다. 사교육은 아동의 발달측면에서 부정적인 영향을 미칠 뿐 아니라 부모의 경제적인 부담은 물론 저출산 문제를 심화시키므로 정부 차원의 대책이 필요하다고 하겠다.

도시 주부들의 웰빙에 대한 인식과 식생활유형에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Well-being Related Awareness and Dietary Life Pattern in Urban Housewives)

  • To investigate the importance and practice of well-being related dietary life pattern such as purchasing food materials, food habits and eating out, a survey was conducted by questionnaire and 5-point Likert score in Seoul and Gyeonggi-Do, September, 2004 and April, 2005. The responses of 732 housewives who were over 40 years were analyzed by SPSS package program. The results were as follows. Most of them were 40-49 years(74.4%), graduated highschool (66.6%) and their family type was nuclear family type(81.4%). Almost half of them had full-time job (37.1%) and part time job (15.4%). The average importance score of 'food habits', 'purchasing food materials' and 'eating out' were $4.15{\pm}0.91,\;4.06{\pm}0.96\;and\;3.25{\pm}1.01$ respectively. But the average practice score of 'food habits' was greater($3.58{\pm}1.06$) than 'purchasing food materials ($3.19{\pm}1.19$)' and 'eating out($2.54{\pm}1.05$)'. Among 5 types of 'food habits', the type of 'cut down on eating fast food' had the greatest score of importances ($4.31{\pm}0.97$) but the difference between importance and practice was greatest(0.94). Also 'consume home-made food rather than processed or ready to food' showed great scores in importance ($4.28{\pm}0.87$) and practice($3.87{\pm}1.04$). 'Consume fruits and vegetables rather than meats' and 'avoid heavy use of oils' had the importance score of $4.04{\sim}4.19$. But the practice score of 'avoid heavy use of oils' was the lowest($3.39{\pm}0.97$). Among four types of purchasing of food materials, 'purchase domestic agricultural food' was greatest($4.37{\pm}0.78$) and 'don't purchase genetically modified food' 'purchase organic food' and 'purchase whole grain products' were also great ($3.92{\sim}3.99$). But the practice score of 'purchase organic/low chemical foods($2.77{\pm}0.98$)' and 'don't purchase genetically modified food($2.99{\pm}1.41$)' were lowest. 'Go to well being restaurant' in three types of 'eating out' showed greatest in importance($3.35{\pm}0.96$) but the practice score($2.47{\pm}0.10$) was lower than the importance score. Also 'choose menu with comparing calories' had the lower score in practice($2.45{\pm}1.06$) rather than importance score($3.22{\pm}1.03$). In regarding to 'food habits', the importance score were significantly affected by type of food expense (p<0.05) and health status (p<0.05). The importance score of 'purchase food materials' were significantly affected by the type of food expense (p<0.001), type of residence(p<0.05), and self assessment of weight(p<0.05). Monthly income, especially more 400 million won, was the commonly significant effector in practice score of 'purchase food materials' and 'eating out'.

계통도를 이용한 중.고등학생의 지구와 달의 운동에 관한 개념 유형 연구 (The Types of Secondary School Students' Preconceptions on the Motion of the Earth and the Moon)

  • In spite of school science learning, the students' conceptions have not been changed easily. Therefore, to make students overcome their non scientific conceptions has been an important issue in science education. The purpose of this study was to identify the conceptions of students and teachers on the motion of the earth and the moon. The instrument was developed for estimating students' understandings of the concepts related to the motion of the earth and the moon. The validity of the instrument was examined by the specialists in Science Educator and Astronomer. At the same time, the two field trials had been executed, and the items were modified. Also, it consists of 12 items including 9 two-tier multiple choice items and 3 multiple choice items. The population of this study consists of 250 eighth-, 299 tenth-, 292 eleventh-grade students, 134 science teachers in secondary school. SPSS/PC+ was adopted for the statistical analysis. The type of misconceptions possessed students were as follows: 1) At 12:00 noon, the sun is directly overhead. 2) First quarter moon is a half of overall surface of the moon. 3) Air don't rotate with the earth surface because it keeps apart from the earth surface. 4) Summer is warmer than winter, because the earth is nearer from the sun in summer. 5) Whenever season is changed, the direction of rotation axis of the earth is changed. 6) The moon is the brightest at the position of new moon, because the distance between the moon and the sun is the shortest and the moon is received strongest sunlight. 7) The moon is not seen at the position of real full moon, because it is covered with shadow of the earth. 8) When the moon is not seen in the earth, sunlight is not reached at the moon. The major findings were as follows : 1) The middle school students had more misconceptions than those of high school students. And female students had more misconceptions than those of male ones. 2) The rate of correct answer and the type of conception in the tenth grade students were very similar with eleventh grade students. 3) The higher cognitive level, the better development of scientific conception and the less misconception. Also, the correlation coefficient between scientific conception score and GALT score was 0.57. 4) The students in scientific part had higher the rate of correct answer than those of students in human part and the former had less misconception than the latter. 5) The rate of correct answer about model and figure items was lower than descriptive ones, because they did not understand about figures itselves. These types of misconceptions will be used for science instruction and studies of other conceptions need.

여성 베이비부머들의 식생활 태도와 미래 식생활 요구도 조사 (A Study on the Dietary Behaviors of Female Baby Boomers and the Needs for Future Perspectives of Dietary Life)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine female baby boomers' dietary habits and their attitudes together with their needs for future perspectives of dietary life. Our aim is to use these findings as a basic data when forecasting for food-related industries or policy making. A survey is being carried out for a total of 358 female baby boomers and analyzed by SPSS 12.0. The following is a summary of this study. The average age is 52.6 years old, most of them graduated from highschool (63.1%) and had a nuclear type of family (76.1%). Only 39.0% is composed of housewives, others had either full-time or part-time jobs. Self-assessment of stress is not so high and only 8.1% are dissatisfied with their lives. 38.2% are either overweight or obese in terms of BMI, and most of them are non-smokers (97.2%) or non-drinkers (63.0%). Their mean dietary habit scores are $70.6{\pm}11.8$, and the scores show significant relations with their education levels (p<0.01), monthly income (p<0.01), life satisfaction rates (p<0.001), stress levels (p<0.001), smoking habits (p<0.05), drinking habits (p<0.05), regular exercises (p<0.001) and regular health check-ups (p<0.05). The rate of skipping breakfast, lunch and dinner are 18.2%, 1.1%, 5.2% respectively. The main reason for skipping breakfast is the 'lack of time'. With regards to the frequency of grocery shopping, almost half of the subjects (55.7%) said '1~2 times per week' and bought mainly raw food sources such as vegetables, fruits, and meats. The majority of the subjects (91.3%) report that they cooked meals at homes, and took about 1 hour of time. The subjects also point out that cooking was a bothering task, and only 46.4% would prepare meals at home, while others would rather eat out or eat convenience foods. The main reasons for not wanting meal services in the elderly welfare facility are because they didn't want to live such places (48.4%) and the meals are tasteless (31.3%). As for delivery meal services, 60.1% are aware of it, and 39.9% would consider using it in the future. Factors to be considered when using the delivery meal service are sanitation (43.7%), nutrition (28.7%), taste (18.4%), price (6.3%), and brand name (2.9%). This study is expected to be used as useful information when developing food-related strategies for baby boomers in the future.

기능성 브래지어 패턴디자인 연구 -돌출.하수 유방유형을 중심으로- (A Study on the functional pattern design for brassiere-focusing on large-breasted women-)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop designs and patterns of a functional brassiere. For this purpose, women who have protruding and drooping breasts with 75B for their brassiere size were sampled. The fitting test for the fitness and function of test brassiere and control brassiere were carried out twice and compared the results from the both in terms of front, rear and side looks. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. The results from measuring the level of sag and spread, and volume and protrusion of breasts shows that there are some distinctive differences in the measurements before and after wearing the test brassiere and the test brassiere is proved to be very effective in correcting breasts' shapes. 2. Front look: Since the two front cutting lines of the test brassiere served to have the curved main part pressing against the breasts, it could support breasts to more than satisfactory level. In addition, upperline panel and side panels of the test brassiere were found to have the upperline of the upper cup pressed against the breasts and at the same time it pressed and gathered the flab around upper part of the breasts and armpits that helped to rearrange the shape of the breasts. It is also proved that the two-pieced test brassier was found to be more functional in supporting the lower cup of the breasts. 3. Rear look: The test brassier was made up of two wide U-shaped wings with 2.5cm tape on its lower sides. Each wing has 4 lines and 3 hems (5.5cm). For this reason, the test brassiere was tighter and better fitted on its back. 4. Side look and entire look: The wings of the test brassiere might look wider than that of the control brassier which has conventional straight-shaped wings, but it was analyzed that the test brassiere held the upper and lower sides of the wings more effectively to be more pressed against the breast. Therefore, the test brassiere scored higher in terms of adjusting to body movements, while the control brassiere looked better in overall terms. 5. The functional brassier fur protruding and drooping breasts developed from the experiments of this study is a full side stretch brassiere which covers the entire breasts satisfactorily. Numerical finite element study of a new perforated steel plate shear wall under cyclic loading

  • Steel plate shear walls (SPSWs) are one of the most important and widely used lateral load-bearing systems. The reason for this is easier execution than reinforced concrete (RC) shear walls, faster construction time, and lower final weight of the structure. However, the main drawback of SPSWs is premature buckling in low drift ratios, which affects the energy absorption capacity and global performance of the system. To address this problem, two groups of SPSWs under cyclic loading were investigated using the finite element method (FEM). In the first group, several series of circular rings have been used and in the second group, a new type of SPSW with concentric circular rings (CCRs) has been introduced. Numerous parameters include in yield stress of steel plate wall materials, steel panel thickness, and ring width were considered in nonlinear static analysis. At first, a three-dimensional (3D) numerical model was validated using three sets of laboratory SPSWs and the difference in results between numerical models and experimental specimens was less than 5% in all cases. The results of numerical models revealed that the full SPSW undergoes shear buckling at a drift ratio of 0.2% and its hysteresis behavior has a pinching in the middle part of load-drift ratio curve. Whereas, in the two categories of proposed SPSWs, the hysteresis behavior is complete and stable, and in most cases no capacity degradation of up to 6% drift ratio has been observed. Also, in most numerical models, the tangential stiffness remains almost constant in each cycle. Finally, for the innovative SPSW, a relationship was suggested to determine the shear capacity of the proposed steel wall relative to the wall slenderness coefficient.

중학교 과학영재 담당교사의 PCK 요소의 특징과 관련성 (Characteristics and Relationships of Teachers' PCK Components in charge of Science Gifted Middle School Students)

  • 중학교 과학영재 담당교사의 수업을 관찰하여 Pedagogical Content Knowledge(PCK)의 요소를 분석하고, 요소간의 관련성을 알아보았다. 연구 대상은 대도시 지역의 중학생 대상 영재교육원에서 과학을 가르치는 교사 4명이었으며, 전공은 각각 물리, 화학, 생물, 지구과학이고 2명은 전임교사, 2명은 겸임교사였다. 또한 전임교사들은 영재학생들만 가르쳤고, 겸임교사들은 보통 일반학생들을 가르쳤고, 특별히 주 1회 영재학생들을 가르쳤다. 수업관찰, 반구조화된 인터뷰를 실시하였으며, 문서자료를 수집하여 질적으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 과학영재담당교사의 PCK 요소의 몇 가지 특징이 나타났다. 교사들의 과학교수지향은 PCK의 요소들과 긴밀하게 상호작용하고 있었다. 교사들의 교육과정지식은 교사에 따라 상이했지만, 학습유형의 선택은 교사의 영재 교육 및 수업의 목표와 관련되어 있었다. 또한 이러한 교육과정 지식은 학생에 대한 이해의 영향을 받았다. 교사들은 교육과정지식과 학생에 대한 이해에 따라 수업에서 서로 다른 교수전략을 사용하고 있었다. 또한 PCK의 요소들의 관계는 밀접했으며 방향성을 가지고 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 PCK의 요소와 관계성을 설명하기위해 사면체 모델을 제안했다.

간찰(簡札)의 안부인사(安否人事)에 대한 유형(類型) 연구(硏究) (A study on the Greeting's Types of Ganchal in Joseon Dynasty)

  • 필자(筆者)는 여러 해째 간찰(簡札)를 대상으로 일련(一連)의 국어학적(國語學的) 연구(硏究)를 진행하고 있으며 이 연구(硏究)는 그 일환(一環)으로서 [안부인사(안부인사(安否人事))]의 유형화(類型化)를 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 근대국어(近代國語) 시기(時期)(16세기(世紀)-19세기(世紀))의 한문간찰(漢文簡札)와 한글간찰(簡札)를 대상으로 [안부인사(安否人事)]를 형식적(形式的) 유형(유형(類型))와 의미적(意味的) 유형(類型)로 나누어 분석(分析)하였다. [안부인사(安否人事)]의 형식적(形式的) 유형(類型)는 정치여부(定置與否), 생략여부(省略與否), 기상여부(寄狀與否), 존비여부(尊卑與否)를 기준으로 나눌 수 있다. 정치여부(定置與否)를 제1기준으로, 생략여부(省略與否)를 제2기준으로 삼아 다섯 가지로 유형화하였다. [안부인사(安否人事)]의 전형성(典型性)이 가장 잘 드러난 정치형(定置型)이면서 완성형(完成型)을 제(第)1유형(類型)로 삼았다. 정치형(定置型)이면서 자기안부생략형(自己安否省略型)을 제(第)2유형(類型)으로, 정치형(定置型)이면서 상대안부생략형(相對安否省略型)을 제(第)3유형(類型)으로, 정치형(定置型)이면서 안부인사생략형(安否人事省略型)을 제(第)4유형(類型)로 삼았다. [안부인사(安否人事)]에서 破格이 가장 심한 도치형(倒置型)을 제(第)5유형(類型)로 삼았다. 第1유형(類型)은 [상대안부(相對安否)]가 [자기안부(自己安否)]에 선행(先行)하는 정치형(定置型)이면서 의미요소(意味要素)가 온전한 완성형(完成型)을 가리킨다. 이 유형은 [안부인사(安否人事)]의 모든 구성요소(構成要素)를 갖췄다는 점에서 가장 전형적(典型的)이며 규범적(規範的)이라 할 수 있다. 제(第)2유형(類型)은 [안부인사(安否人事)]가 [상대안부(相對安否)]로만 이루어진 것이다. 정형성(定型性)에서는 제(第)1유형(類型)보다 덜하지만 출현빈도(出現頻度)에서는 큰 차이가 없는 유형이다. [상대안부(相對安否)]를 충실히 묻되, [자기안부(自己安否)]는 생략하는 것이 예의에 크게 어긋나지 않으면서 간찰을 쉽게 쓸 수 있기 때문에 활용된다. 제(第)3유형(類型)은 [상대안부(相對安否)+자기안부(自己安否)]의 구성을 보이는 정치형(定置型)이지만 [상대안부(相對安否)]가 생략된 유형을 가리킨다. 제(第)4유형(類型)은 [상대안부(相對安否)+자기안부(自己安否)]의 구성을 보이는 정치형(定置型)이지만 [안부인사(安否人事)] 전체가 생략된 유형이다. 이 유형은 [안부인사(安否人事)]자체를 완전히 생략한 경우와 '제번(除煩)'과 같은 상투적인 표현이 [안부인사(安否人事)]를 대신하는 경우로 나뉜다. 제(第)5유형(類型)은 정치형(定置型)과 달리 [자기안부(自己安否)+상대안부(相對安否)]의 구성을 보이는 도치형(倒置型)이다. 이 유형은 정형성(定型性)에서 파격(破格)이 가장 심한 유형으로 실예(實例)도 아주 드물다. [자기안부(自己安否)]를 앞세우고 나중에 체면치레로 [상대안부(相對安否)]를 묻는 것은 예의에 어긋나기 때문이다. 이 외에 [안부인사(安否人事)] 유형을 [상대안부(相對安否)]와 [자기안부(自己安否)]가 직접 연결된 직접형(直接型)과 [事緣]으로 분리된 간접형(間接型)으로 대별(大別)하여 세분할 수도 있다. [안부인사(安否人事)]의 의미적(意味的) 유형(類型)은 기상여부(寄狀與否), 완급여부(緩急與否), 친밀여부(親密與否), 격조여부(隔阻與否)를 기준으로 나눌 수 있다. 기상(寄狀)의 경우 [안부인사(安否人事)]는 [상대안부(相對安否)(시후(時候)+문안(問安)+심경(心境))+자기안부(自己安否)(상황(狀況)+안부(安否)+심경(心境))]의 구성을 보인다. [상대안부(相對安否)]에서 [시후(時候)]는 [계절(季節)] 정보와 [기상(氣象)(날씨)] 정보로 세분(細分)할 수 있고, [심경(心境)] 또한 수신자(受信者)의 [가족안부([家族安否) 심경(心境)]과 [개인안부(個人安否) 심경(心境)]으로 나뉜다. [자기안부(自己安否)]에서 [상황(狀況)]은 수신자(受信者)의 종래 상황인 [근황(近況)]과 수신자(受信者)의 현재 상황인 [현황(現況)]으로 나뉘며 [문안(問安)] 또한 수신자(受信者)의 [가족문안(家族問安)]와 [개인문안(個人問安)]으로, [안부(安否)]는 [가족안부(家族安否)]와 [개인안부(個人安否)]로 세분(細分)할 수 있다. 이처럼 [문안(問安)]이나 [안부(安否)]가 [가족(家族)]과 [개인(個人)] 차원에서 짝을 이루어 쓰일때가 많은데 부모(父母)나 조부모(祖父母)를 모시고 사는 층층시하(層層侍下)의 대가족제도(大家族制度)에서 비롯한 현상이라 할 수 있다. 답상(答狀)의 경우 [안부인사(安否人事)]는 [상대안부(相對安否)(수신(受信)+안부(安否)+심경(心境))+자기안부(自己安否)(상황(狀況)+안부(安否)+심경(心境))]의 구성을 보며 [상대안부(相對安否)]에서만 의미구성이 기상(寄狀)과 차이가 있다. [상대안부(相對安否)]에서 [수신(受信)]은 직접 간찰을 받는 [서신(書信)]과 사람들 통해 소식을 전해 듣는 [전언(傳言)]으로 나뉘며 [안부(安否)]는 [가족안부(家族安否)]와 [개인안부(個人安否)]로, [심경(心境)] 역시 [가족안부(家族安否) 심경(心境)]과 [개인안부(個人安否) 심경(心境)]으로 나뉜다.
