In response to the increasing demand for energy, research and development of next-generation energy is actively carried out around the world to replace fossil fuels. Among them, the specific gravity of solar power generation systems using infinity and pollution-free solar energy is increasing. However, solar power generation is so different from solar energy that it is difficult to provide stable power and the power production itself depends on the solar energy by region. To solve these problems in this paper, we have collected meteorological data such as actual regional solar irradiance, precipitation, temperature and humidity, and proposed a solar power output prediction system using logic-based fuzzy Neural Network.

Fine fuel moisture code (FFMC), a main component of forest fire weather index(FWI) in the Canadian forest fire danger rating system(CFFDRS), indicated a probability of ignition through expecting a dryness of fine fuels. According to this code, a rising of temperature and wind velocity, a decreasing of precipitation and decline of humidity in a weather condition showed a rising of a danger rate for the forest fire. In this study, we analyzed a weather condition during 5 years in Kangwon province, calculated a FFMC and examined an application of FFMC. Very low humidity and little precipitation was a characteristic during spring and fall fire season in Kangwon province. 75% of forest fires during 5 years occurred in this season and especially 90% of forest fire during fire season occurred in spring. For developing of the prediction model for a forest fire occurrence probability, we used a logistic regression function with forest fire occurrence data and classified mean FFMC during 10 days. Accuracy of a developed model was 63.6%. To improve this model, we need to deal with more meteorological data during overall seasons and to associate a meteorological condition with a forest fire occurrence with more research results.

Fuel cells are regarded as a representative energy source expected to replace fossil fuels particularly used in internal combustion engines. One of the most important components is polymer electrolyte membranes (PEMs) acting as a proton conducting barrier to prevent fuel gas crossover. Since water channels act as proton pathways through PEMs, many researchers have been focused on the 'good phase-separation of hydrophilic moiety' which ensures high water retention under low humidity enough to keep the water channel for good proton conduction. Here, we summarized the strategies which have been adopted to synthesize sulfonated PEMs having high proton conductivities even under low humidified conditions, and hope this review will be helpful to design high performance hydrocarbon PEMs.

The international cancer research institute under the WHO designated fine dust as a first-class carcinogen. Particular matter refers to dust that is small enough to be invisible and floating in the air. Particular matter is mainly emitted from the combustion process of fossil fuels such as coal and oil, and is a risk factor that can cause lung disease, pneumonia, and heart disease. The Ministry of Environment recently analyzed the output data of 10 fine dust measuring stations and, as a result, announced that about 60% had an error that the existing atmospheric measurement concentration was higher. In order to accurately predict fine dust, the wind direction and measurement position must be corrected. In this paper, in order to solve these problems, fuzzy rules are used to solve these problems. In addition, in order to calculate the fine particulate sensation index actually felt by pedestrians on the street, a computer simulation experiment was conducted to calculate the fine particulate sensation index in consideration of weather conditions, temperature conditions, humidity conditions, and wind conditions.

Interest in hydrogen, as an energy carrier, has been growing to solve the problems on shortage of fossile fuels and greenhouse gas. According to the standard KGS FU 551 for stationary fuel cell installation, the fuel cell system could be connected up to two common exhausts to one floor. depending on the required power for building or the installation environment in buildings, multiple fuel cell systems could be installed. Afterwards the number of perforations and flues could be decided. Hence, economic efficiency in significantly determined with respect to installation area and the number of fuel cell systems. In addition, the complexity of common vent structure for stationary fuel cell systems could be changed. In this paper, Verification experiments were conducted by connecting the common exhaust system to the fuel cell simulation system and the actual fuel cell system. Humidity and temperature were changed at ON/OFF, but no factors were found to affect performance or system malfunction. Exhaust emissions were also measured to obtain optimized values. We intend to expand the diffusion of stationary fuel cells by verifying safety of common exhaust structure.

Hydrogen is evaluated as one of the new energy sources that can overcome the limitations and pollution problems of conventional fossil fuels. Although hydrogen is CO2-free, attention is required in NOx emission and flame stability in order to use hydrogen in existing gas fuel system. However, use of electric grids is an unrealistic strategy for decarbonization for residential and commercial heating. Instead, use of H2 that utilizes city gas grid is suggested as a reasonable alternative in terms of compatibility with existing systems, economic feasibility, and accessibility. In this study, the thermal efficiency and NOx performance of the boiler according to the H2 mixture ratio and vapor humidified ratio are reviewed for a humidified NG-H2 boiler that vapor humidity to combustion air. Mixed fuel with H2 (20%) is almost similar to NG in terms of efficiency, flame temperature, and pollution performance. Thus, it is expected to be directly compatible with the existing NG system. If the exhaust temperature of the H2 boiler is lowered to around 60℃ at a humidified ratio of 15-20%, the NOx emission concentration can be suppressed to about 5-10 ppm. The level of efficiency reaches 87% of the rated load efficiency, which is equivalent to the highest grade achievable.

Renewable energy has been of interests in the area of modern alternative fuels. Biogas is produced in waste landfill sites through anaerobic digestion processes, including hydrolysis, acidogenesis, organic acid fermentation (acetogenesis), and methane fermentation (methanogenesis). High contents of fine dust and moisture limited its utilization for direct combustion, town gas and vehicle fuel. Thus, this study proposed a new design for a cooling device using a centrifugal cyclone for simultaneous removal of fine dust and moisture as a pretreatment in the purification processes. A heat exchanger and an ID fan, which are installed inside and outside of the cyclone, in order to cool the humid gas below the freezing point and form a foggy mist. Such an atmosphere enhanced to capture fine dust as recirculating the cold mist flow. The water removal rate was 80.8% at a relative humidity of 95%, and the particle removal efficiency was 98.3% for $2.5{\mu}m$. Simultaneous removal efficiency was 70.8% and 99.6% for particle and moisture respectively.

The development of industry and the increase in the use of fossil fuels have accelerated the process of global warming and climate change, resulting in more frequent and intense natural disasters than ever before. Since electricity facilities are often installed outdoors, they are heavily influenced by natural disasters and the number of related accidents is increasing. In this paper, we analyzed the statistical status of domestic electrical fires, electric shock accidents, and electrical equipment accidents and hence analyzed the risk associated with climate change. Through the analysis of the electrical accidental data in connection with the various regional (metropolitan) climatic conditions (temperature, humidity), the risk rating and charts for each region and each equipment were produced. Based on this analysis, a basic electric risk prediction model is presented and a method of displaying an electric hazard prediction map for each region and each type of electric facilities through a website or smart phone app was developed using the proposed analysis data. In addition, efforts should be made to increase the durability of the electrical equipment and improve the resistance standards to prevent future disasters.

In this study, Mokpo national maritime university Training ship Centralizes Air Conditioning System was upgraded by installing onboard an Air-cooled Air conditioner. This resulted in the improvement of the performance and operation. This study compared refrigeration performance to former equipment and improving one. And through the actual measurement study about the cabin thermal environment, it will be used as basic data for marine air conditioning design and plan in the future. At same climate condition, when the Centralized Air Conditioning System and an improved air conditioning system operated, cabin temperature was at $24{\sim}28^{\circ}C$, humidity was 55~75 % as comfortable condition, Generator load measurement showed a saving of 48KW in the average load and 8 % in the full load factor. This also resulted in a saving of daily fuel oil consumption(FOC) at around 222 [${\ell}/day$] average. On the other hand, one cadet cabin(Cadet No.21) indicated a higher temperature due to heat transmission of engine room. It found us not to consider installing additional diffuser to reduce the heat transmission.

Currently, global warming has advanced by the usage of fossil fuels such as coal and petroleum. and the atmosphere temperature in the world of 100 years(1906~2005) has been risen $0.74^{\circ}C{\pm}0.18^{\circ}C$, IPCC announced that the global warming effect of last decade was nearly doubled compared to the changes($0.07^{\circ}C{\pm}0.02^{\circ}C$/10year) in the past 100 years. Moreover, due to the global warming, heat wave, heavy snow, heavy rain, super typhoon, were caused and are increasing to happen in the world continuously causing damages and destruction of social infrastructures, where concrete structures are suffering deterioration by long-term extreme climate changes. to solve these problems, the new construction technology and codes are necessary. In this study, to solve these problems, experiments on a variety of cases considering the temperature and humidity, the main factors of climate factors, were performed, and the cases are decided by temperature and humidity. The specimens were tested in compressive strength test and split tensile test by the curing age(3,7,28 days) morever, performance based design(PBD) method was applied by using the satisfaction curve developed from the experiment date. PBD is the design method that gathers the current experimental analysis and past experimental analysis and develops the material properties required for the structure, and carries out the design of concrete mix, and it is recently studied actively worldwide. Also, it is the ultimate goal of PBD to design and perform on structures have sufficient performance during usage and to provide the problem solving for various situations, Also, it can achieve maximum effect in terms of functionality and economy.
