에테폰 처리가 자두과실의 성숙과 수확후 유통방법이 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of ethphon treatment on the maturation of Plum fruits(Prunus salisina) and changes of the quality as affected by storage conditions)

  • In order to determine the physiolosical characteristics of plum fruits(Oishi wase) during maturation and guilty according to temperature after harvest, (2-chloroethyl) phosphonic acid(ethphon) 390ppm was sprayed on plum tree 11days before commercial matuarity in Suwon area. And also this study was acted to investigate fruits quility(Formosa) influenced by temperature(room, low) and polyethylene films(0.03, 0.06, 0.1mm), 1. Effect of ethphon on the fruits maturation and fruits(Oishi wase) quility according to temperature ofter harvest. Ethephon stimulated fruits ripening but the firmness was reduced rapidly. Soluble solids and titratable acidity was not very different than each treatment. Carbon dioxide and ethylene production were advanced and the production peak were shown earlier by ethephon treatment as compared with control fruit. Anthocyanin development was enhansed rapidly by ethephon treatment but it exerted a bad influence on fruits color after harvest, The soluble sugars in fluits were mainly glucose, sucrose, and fructose. Those content were higher in treated fruit than control. The organic acid was mainly malic acid. The shelf life was less than about 5days at room temperature and about 10 days at low temperature. 2. Fruits(Formosa) quility as affected by polyethylene film bagging. The polyethylene films well maintained the firmness both room and low temperature. Low temperature was more effective in maintaining titratable acidity than room temperature, especially polyethylene films. On the Other hand, soluble solids content was not shown wide differance between room and low temperature. Polyethylene film showed a high resperation rate, the rate was higher at room temperature than low temperature and thicker films revealed higher rate. Otherwise, ethylene production was low in all treatment Polyethylene film inhibited the coloration of fruits, decreased anthocyanin content. Fruits coloration delayed by low temperature in control. The shelf life of plum fruits was about 6 days at room temperature and 13 days at low temperature in control Polyethylene film had no advantage on shelf life both at room and low temperature.

Abscisic acid의 처리농도가 포도 '거봉'의 착색에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Exogenous Abscisic Acid Concentration on the Coloration of 'Kyoho' Grapes.)

  • 본 실험은 착색 불안정 때문에 재배적 어려움이 있는 '거봉'포도를 이용하여 변색기에 ABA를 농도별로 처리하여 봄으로써 착색증진을 위한 최적의 처리 농도를 구명하고자 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. ABA의 처리 농도에 따라 과방중량과 과립중량은 약간 증가하는 경향을 나타내었으나, 유의차가 인정되지 않았다. 가용성 고형물과 적정산 함량 역시 생장기간 내내 처리구간에 유의차가 인정되지 않았다. PAL 효소의 활성은 각 처리구 공히 처리후 급속히 증가 하다가 감소하는 경향을 보였는데, ABA 처리농도가 높으면 높을수록 증감의 폭은 더욱 커졌다. 또한 처리농도가 높을수록 최종수확기에 가서도 다른 처리구에 비해 높은 수준을 유지하였다. 안토시아닌 함량은 모든 처리구에서 생육기간 동안 계속 증가하는 경향을 보였고, ABA 처리농도가 높아짐에 따라 더 높은 함량을 나타내었는데, 특히 ABA 1000 mg/L 처리구는 최종수확기에 무처리구에 비해 2.5배 이상의 함량을 나타내었다. 과피의 전페놀 함량은 안토시아닌 함량과 마찬가지로 모든 처리구에서 생육기간 내내 증가하는 경향을 나타내었고, ABA의 처리농도가 높아짐에 따라 더 높은 함량을 나타내었다. 가용성당 함량은 과당과 포도당만이 검출되었으며, 자당은 전혀 검출되지 않았다. 과당과 포도당 함량 역시 변색기 이후 계속 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, 처리구간에 큰 차이는 보이지 않았다.

  • This study was intended to examine feasibility of sizing and color grading of Fuji apple with black/white image processing system, to develop a device with which the whole surface of an apple could be captured by one camera, and to develop an algorithm for a high speed sorting. The results are summarized as follows : 1. The black/white image processing system used in this study showed a maximum error of 1.3% in area measurement with a reference figure while the focusing point of camera and location of the reference figure were changed within a certain range. 2. As the result of evaluating four automatic image segmentation algorithms with apple images, Histogram Clustering Method was the best in terms of computation time and accuracy. 3. The fast algorithm for analyzing size and coloration of apple was developed. 4. The whole surface of an apple could be captured in an image frame with two mirrors installed on the both sides of the sample. The total area of the image representing the whole surface showed a correlation of 0.995 with the weight of apple. 5. The gray level when a particular band pass filter was mounted on the camera showed high correlation with 'L' and 'a' values of Hunt color scale and could represent the coloration of apple.

이상 고온 조건에서 지하수 냉방 처리가 딸기의 생육과 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Groundwater Cooling Treatment on Growth, Yield, and Quality of Strawberries under High Temperature Conditions)

  • A Cultivation method to minimize the damage caused by high temperatures was studied by investigating the effects of groundwater cooling treatment on the growth, yield, and quality of strawberries. In the groundwater cooling treatment, the daily average temperature of the rhizosphere was reduced from $26.9^{\circ}C$ to $24.9^{\circ}C$. The root length increased by 0.3-9.2 cm, depending on the cultivar and growth period. The leaf number, leaf area, leaf length, leaf diameter, and plant height also increased, especially in the cultivars 'Seolhyang' and 'Maehyang', resulting in higher fresh and dry weights. The number of fruit per plant increased from 7.7 to 12.5 in 'Seolhyang', and the fruit weight increased by 0.3 g in 'Seolhyang' and 1.3 g in 'Maehyang'. The fruit hardness increased, but no significant difference in fruit coloration was observed. The sugar content of the fruit was improved by $0.2-0.3^{\circ}Brix$. Therefore, groundwater cooling of the rhizosphere was effective in improving the growth and productivity of strawberries under abnormally high temperature conditions and can be considered a cost-efficient cooling system.

Extended shelf-life of 'Kumhong' nectarine and 'Madoka' peach fruits by treating the trees with calcium compounds and chitosan

  • Peaches have soft tissues compared to other fruits and are vulnerable to softness, wounds, and loss of marketability due to the weak fruit hardness after harvest. It is necessary to develop a technology to improve the shelf-life of the fruit to expand the distribution of peaches. Calcium compounds and chitosan have an important role in improving the shelf-life of fruit by maintaining the hardness and reducing the respiration rate in peach fruits. In this study, to select useful compounds to improve the shelf-life of peaches, calcium citrate, calcium chloride, calcium nitrate, GH-Ca, OS-Ca, chitosan, and chitosan dissolved in calcium chloride were sprayed onto peach trees. The characteristics of the harvested fruits were investigated after the 'Kumhong' and 'Madoka' peach tree treatments. The hardness of the fruit was kept the highest with the combined treatment and remained high with the calcium citrate, chitosan and calcium nitrate treatments. Ethylene production and respiration were effectively inhibited by the GH-Ca and chitosan treatments. There was no significant difference in soluble solids content and acidity among the fruits treated with the chemicals. The coloration of the fruit skin was not delayed by the calcium and chitosan chemical treatments. Calcium compounds were increased in the fruits and leaves of the peach trees treated with the chemicals compared to the untreated ones. These results suggest that the calcium treatment extended the shelf-life by increasing the calcium content in the leaves and fruits of the peach trees.

포도 '캠벨얼리' 품종의 과실품질과 기후요인과의 상관분석 (Correlation Analysis Between Fruit Quality of 'Campbell Early' Grapes and Climatic Factors)

  • 포도 캠벨얼리 품종은 우리나라 포도재배면적의 70%이상을 차지하고 있는 대표 품종이다. 최근 기후변화에 따른 기온상승으로 과수 재배지의 변동에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기후요소와 과수품질간의 상관관계를 밝히기 위해 우리나라 주요 포도 주산단지 사천, 진주, 나주, 당진, 천안, 김천, 영동, 옥천, 상주, 수원, 영주, 강릉, 춘천 그리고 양구 등 13곳의 과원을 대상으로 조사하였다. 개화기는 사천이 5월 25일로 가장 빨랐으며 강원도 양구는 6월 7일로 가장 늦었다. 포도는 성숙일수가 90일 정도 되어야 상품성 있는 품질을 생산할 수 있다. 하지만 남쪽지방에서는 성숙일수가 90일 보다 작다. 강원도 지방은 성숙일수가 100일에서 110일로 가장 길다. 그래서 과실의 당도가 높게 나타난다. 포도 캠벨얼리의 과실 품질은 기상요인 특히 온도와 밀접한 관련이 있으며 온도가 높으면 산도가 높다. 과피두께는 남부지방 과실의 과피가 얇고 북쪽으로 갈수록 과피가 두꺼워지는 경향을 나타냈으며, 과실의 착색에서 남부지방은 수확적기가 지났음에도 착색이 불량하며 북쪽지방은 아직 적숙기가 되지 않았다.

'Goldone', a Yellow - fleshed Kiwifruit Cultivar with Large Fruit Size

  • In Korea, kiwifruit is grown within a limited region on the southern coast where the climate is warm. Since the yellow - fleshed kiwifruit variety, 'Hort16A', first became commercially available, we have focused on breeding additional yellow - fleshed kiwifruits. Here, we describe the cultivar 'Goldone', which originated from 'Red Princess' and is characterized by red coloration around the fruit core. Conventional field crosses were performed in 2003, and permission for final release of 'Goldone' was obtained in 2011. This cultivar is very productive, with an average fruit weight of 129 g, which is 39% heavier than that of the cultivar 'Hayward'. 'Goldone' is harvested in late October, approximately 165 - 170 days after anthesis. In general, 'Goldone' has approximately eight flowers per fruiting shoot; these flowers must be thinned before blooming for commercial production. 'Goldone' was registered at the Korean Seed & Variety Service in 2014 for plant variety protection rights (grant no. 4835).

패션프루트 무가온하우스 재배의 후기 수분시기가 착색에 미치는 영향 (Effect on fruit coloration for double harvesting by flowering period of passionfruit(Passiflora edulis) in non-heating plastic house cultivation)

  • 패션프루트(Passiflora edulis)는 브라질이 원산지이며 아열대와 열대지역에서 재배되고 있는 다년생 상록덩굴식물로 시계꽃과(Passifloraceae) 시계꽃속(Passiflora)에 속한다. 전 세계적으로 500여종이 분포하고 그 중 10여종은 식용, 나머지는 관상용으로 이용되고 있다. 지구온난화로 인한 기온상승으로 전남지역 재배에 적합한 대체 아열대과수 개발이 필요하다. 패션프루트는 겨울 최저온도가 $3^{\circ}C$이상 조건에서 재배 가능하여 남부 지역는 무가온 하우스재배를 하고 있지만 시설내 6월 하순부터 8월 중순까지 $35^{\circ}C$ 이상 고온이 지속되어 과실을 볼 수 없다. 8월 하순부터 피는 꽃은 인공수분으로 착과되어 11월부터 수확이 가능하지만 이후에 낮은 온도($10^{\circ}C$이하)로 착색이 진행되지 않아서 동해피해로 수확을 포기해야 한다. 어느 시기까지 인공수분을 해야 당년에 안정적인 수확이 가능한지를 알아보고자 패션프루트의 후기(2차) 개화시기 중에서 8월 30일, 9월 10일, 9월 20일, 9월 30일에 인공수분 하여 11월 하순에 착색이 정상적으로 진행되는 처리를 조사한 결과 8월 30일 처리구만 11월 21일 착색이 되었다. 미착색과에서 내용물이 진노랑색으로 진행되면 후숙하여 상품과로 판매가 가능하기 때문에 진노랑색에 도달한 시기를 조사하였다. 조사에서 9월 10일까지 인공수분 처리한 과실은 후숙하여 상품과로 판매가 가능하였다.

적색 및 청색 LED광과 UVa광 처리가 착색단고추 과실의 착색에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Red LED, Blue LED and UVa Light Sources on Coloration of Paprika Fruits)

  • 본 실험은 미성숙 즉 미착색과의 착색 증진을 위해 LED광원의 적색광, 청색광 그리고 UVa를 각각 두 가지 광도로 처리하여 처리에 따른 착색정도를 비교하였다. 실험에 사용한 착색단고추 품종은 적색 계통의 'Special'과 황색 계통의 'Helsinki'으로 춘천 근교 농가에서 수경재배 하였다. LED의 경우 Red_High는 $50{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ 내외, Red_Low는 $20{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ 내외, Blue_High는 $70{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ 내외, Blue_Low는 40{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ 내외, UVa의 경우 고광도는 $3{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$, 저광도는 $0.25{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$로 처리하였다. 품종에 상관없이 처리 2일 후에 과실의 착색이 급격히 진행되었고 3일째에 처리별로 큰 차이를 보였다. 'Special'의 경우 2일째 고광도 UVa광이 제일 급격한 착색 변화를 나타내었고, 저광도 UVa를 제외한 나머지 처리구에서는 비슷한 착색의 변화을 나타내었다. 처리 3일째에는 고광도 LED 적색광이 급격한 착색변화를 나타내며 고광도 UVa광보다 높은 착색 값을 나타내었다. 'Helsinki' 경우에는 2일째에 청색광, 적색광, UVa의 순으로 착색 변화가 빠르게 진행되었다. 두 품종 모두 3일째에는 'Special'의 $a^*/b^*$ 값과 황색품종 'Helsinki'의 착색 정도를 나타내는 $b^*$ 값이 모두 저광도보다 고광도에서 높은 값을 나타내며 착색 증진 효과를 나타내었다. 착색종료일인 처리후 6일째 두품종 모두 무처리구와 저광도 UVa광을 제외한 나머지 모든 처리구에서는 비슷한 값을 나타내었다. UVa 처리구 과실의 표면이 주글거리는 피해를 발생하였다. 이상의 결과로 저광도보다는 고광도의 LED 광원을 사용하는 것이 착색이 빠르게 진행될 수 있도록 도우며, UVa 파장은 과실의 외관에 피해를 입히기 때문에 적합하지 않게 생각된다.

포도 '캠벨얼리' 품질에 미치는 토양이화학성의 상대적 기여도 (Contribution of Soil Pysico-chemical Properties to Fruit Quality of 'Campbell Early' Grapes in the Vineyards)

  • 'Campbell Early', a major grape cultivar, occupies more than 70% of cultivated vineyard areas, however, recommendable standard management system of soil environmental conditions has not been developed yet in Korea. The consideration for the correlation between fruit quality and soil condition in the vineyard is required in the efficient management system of soil. This study was carried out to investigate the optimum soil environmental conditions for 'Campbell Early' grape production with high quality. The results from analyses of correlation between them were used to develop soil management guideline for promoting efficiency in grape production. Soil properties were analyzed from 120 vineyards in Hawsung, Sangju, Yeongdong, Gimcheon, Yeongju, and Yeongwol, major grape production regions. Because there is neither coloring disorder nor delayed coloration in grape production of 'Campbell Early', relative contribution of soil hardness and solid phase to fruit quality and fruit weight was analyzed. Among the soil properties, while cation and soil hardness affected sugar content at the level of 39.3% and 36.8%, respectively, saturated hydraulic conductivity, solid phase, and cation exchange capacity (CEC) showed relatively low contribution to sugar content in the vineyard. The sugar content in grapes was influenced more critically by the chemical properties than the physical ones in the soil of vineyards. While soil hardness and solid phase affected grape weight at the level of 27.8% and 26.0%, respectively, phosphate content, organic matter content, and cation showed low contribution to grape weight. Grape guality such as sugar content and grape weight was affected highly by cation and organic matters. Therefore, cation and organic matter content of soil contributed to fruit quality at the level of 33.8% and 15.5%, respectively, in the vineyard.
