  • 본 논문은 전압 구동 형태와 전류 구동 형태의 특성을 모두 지니는 Forward-Flyback 컨버터의 특성을 이용하여 입력 전압 가변형 시스템에서의 적용에 대해 논의한다. Forward-Flyback 컨버터는 변압기의 턴비에 따라 입력 전압을 넘겨 Buck 컨버터처럼 동작하는 Forward 단과 변압기의 자화 인덕턴스에 흐르는 전류를 출력 단으로 넘겨 사용하는 Flyback 단이 존재하며 이 중 Forward 단의 동작 조건을 이용하여 출력 전압이 변할 경우 컨버터가 Forward-Flyback 컨버터와 Flyback 컨버터의 두 가지 형태 중 하나를 선택하여 동작하도록 분석 및 설계한다.

  • In combined forward-backward extrusion with controlled forward speed by a counter punch, accurate parts with forward rod can be formed. As an extension of this method, reverse extrusion is proposed, in which the extruded forward rod is pushed back while the main punch is kept at the final position after the forward-backward extrusion process. The experiment is carried out using lead as a model material. With the reverse extrusion method, longer forward rods can be formed without under-filling defect than that by combined extrusion with controlling extrusion speed.

Inverse Offset Method for Adaptive Cutter Path Generation from Point-based Surface

  • The inverse offset method (IOM) is widely used for generating cutter paths from the point-based surface where the surface is characterised by a set of surface points rather than parametric polynomial surface equations. In the IOM, cutter path planning is carried out by specifying the grid sizes, called the step-forward and step-interval distances respectively in the forward and transverse cutting directions. The step-forward distance causes the chordal deviation and the step-forward distance produces the cusp. The chordal deviation and cusp are also functions of local surface slopes and curvatures. As the slopes and curvatures vary over the surface, different step-forward and step-interval distances are appropriate in different areas for obtaining the machined surface accurately and efficiently. In this paper, the chordal deviation and cusp height are calculated in consideration with the surface slopes and curvatures, and their combined effect is used to estimate the machined surface error. An adaptive grid generation algorithm is proposed, which enables the IOM to generate cutter paths adaptively using different step-forward and step-interval distances in different regions rather than constant step-forward and step-interval distances for entire surface.

  • 역률개선용 AC/DC Flyback 컨버터의 경우 우수한 역률을 획득할 수 있으나 코어손실이 크고 효율이 낮으며 반면 Forward 컨버터의 경우 코어손실이 작아 높은 효율을 획득할 수 있으나 Dead zone이 존재하여 고역률 획득이 어려운 단점을 갖는다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Forward 컨버터와 Flyback 컨버터의 장점을 동시에 구현할 수 있는 고효율 및 고역률 Balanced forward-flyback 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안된 컨버터는 스위치 온 시 Forward 컨버터로 동작하며 스위치 오프 시 트랜스포머 자화인덕터 리셋을 위해 Flyback 컨버터로 동작하므로 고역률 및 고효율 획득이 가능하며 Forward 및 Flyback 컨버터가 다루는 에너지량이 전류평형 캐패시터에 의해 항상 절반씩 배분되므로 AC입력전압의 크기에 관계없이 항상 고효율 획득이 가능하다. 제안된 회로의 타당성 검증을 위해 이론적 분석결과와 24W급 LED 조명 회로에 적용한 실험결과를 제시한다.

  • 본 논문은 Recovery 기법 중의 하나인 Roll-Forward를 적용한 고가용 웹 서버의 설계 및 구현에 대해서 그 방안을 제시한다. Roll-Forward Recovery 는 복구에 드는 시간을 감소시킬 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 즉, 일반적인 중복 시스템에서 결함이 발생하면 시스템의 상태는 가장 최근의 checkpoint 지점으로 Rollback 되어야 하기 때문에 복구에 많은 시간을 소비하게 되지만, Roll-Forward를 적용함으로써 복구에 드는 시간을 감소시킬 수 있다. 단일 서버시스템 또는 Rollback Recovery를 적용한 시스템의 결함 발생 시 서비스를 제공할 수 없는 상태가 되거나 복구에 많은 시간을 소비한다. 이에 비해 Roll-Forward를 적용한 중복 서버시스템을 구성하여 동작 운용중인 서버의 결함 발생 시 즉시 다른 서버가 결과를 보여줌으로써 고가용 웹 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 Roll-Forward를 적용한 고가용 웹 서버의 동작원리는 마스터서버에 들어오는 요청을 백업서버에서도 똑같이 수행하며, 마스터 서버가 동작 중 결함이 발생하였을 경우 백업서버가 피 결과를 보여줌으로써 고가용의 서비스가 제공되는 웹 서버를 구현하고자 한다.

  • Simultaneous forward-backward extrusion upsetting has been carried out by ratray forging. Two materials has been used commericaly 6.61 aluminium ally and 0.2% steel. The effects of working conditions ; spiral feed ; initial aspect ration of specimen and lubricating condition on the backward and forward extrusion were clarified. The extrusion length increases a sthe aspect rationof the specimen increases, the backward extrusion lengthbeing relatively larger than the forward one. The effects of the spiral feed and the material on the extrusion lengthis remarkably large for the large spiral feed.

  • In this paper, we proposed the alternated forward zero voltage switching multi-resonant Converter (AT Forward ZVS MRC). The AT forward ZVS MRC has similar characteristics with clamp mode forward ZVS MRC. So it can reduce the voltage stress to tow or three times a input density [W/inch2]. The proposed converter type is verified through the experimental converter with 48V input voltage, 5V/50W output voltage/power. The measured maximum voltage stress is 170V of 2.9 times the input voltage and the maximum efficiency of 81.66% is measured.

  • A Markovian approach is introduced to find the Laplace transform of the forward recurrence time in the renewal process at finite time t > 0. Until now, most works on the forward recurrence time have been done through renewal arguments.

  • Using simulation, we compare the perturbation analysis estimate and the forward difference estimate for the first and second derivatives of performance measures in a Markov renewal process. We find the perturbation analysis estimate has much les mean squared error than the traditional forward difference estimate.

Change of Lumbar Spine and Hip Joint Flexion Angles During Forward Bending of the Trunk Using Manual Facilitation and a Stick (도수 촉진과 막대를 이용한 몸통의 전방 굴곡 운동에 따른 요추와 고관절 굴곡 각도의 변화)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of manual facilitation and a stick on lumbar and hip joint flexion angles in subject with lumbar flexion syndrome during forward bending from a sitting position. Fifteen subjects with lumbar flexion syndrome were recruited for this study. As a pretest, all subjects performed three repetitions of bending the trunk forward until the tips of their fingers touched the target bar. After this pretest, the subjects practiced the forward bending of the trunk 10 times, using either manual facilitation or a stick. Then, as a posttest, all subjects repeated the pretest procedure. The flexion angles of lumbar spine and hip joint during forward bending in a sitting position were measured using a three-dimensional motion analysis system. A paired t-test was used to determine the statistical differences between pre-test and post-test flexion angles and pre- and post-test flexion angle differences between forward bending with manual facilitation and forward bending with a stick. The level of statistical significance was set at p=.05. The results of the study showed that the angle of the lumbar flexion decreased significantly and the bilateral hip flexion angle increased significantly when performing forward bending with stick and manual facilitation. Furthermore, the angle of lumbar flexion decreased significantly and the angle of bilateral hip flexion increased significantly in forward bending with a stick compared to forward bending with manual facilitation. The findings of this study indicate that both forward bending with manual facilitation and sticks could be used to prevent excessive lumbar flexion and increase hip flexion, and that forward bending with a stick is more effective than forward bending with manual facilitation for inducing lumbar spine and hip joint angle changes.
