The purpose of this study is to suggest some activation plans of vocational home economics high school education by analyzing the actual conditions of vocational home economics high school education and surveying teachers and students' recognition and their needs toward the present vocational home economics high school education. The data were collected through reference analysis. questionnaire and interview method. They were analyzed using SPSS. The outline of this study was as follows: First. some data for examining the development trends of vocational home economics were collected especially in terms of the social and economical change related to vocational home economics education. the development of vocational home economics education based on the current curriculum. and some trends of vocational home economics education in foreign countries. Second. the real conditions of vocational home economics high school education were analyzed according to the real conditions of curriculum management in vocational home economics high schools. Based on this result. a questionnaire was designed to survey teachers and students' recognition and their needs. The items consisted mainly of the curriculum management and satisfaction of school life. Third. some activation plans of vocational home economics high school education were proposed in terms of management system(3 items). curriculum management(5 items). security of teachers and their expertise(4 items). and administration and finance(3 items).

The purpose of this study was to analyze high schools' general and special subject required to successfully complete same stream curriculum which is identical to their major from agricultural high school, and to offer basic data on strategies of organizing agricultural high schools' curriculum for improving universities' major basic competencies. Using purposeful sampling technique, the professors of 116 universities professors in 8 agricultural university were analyzed through the survey research. The result was as follows. first, it appeared that for successful completion of major subjects of the same stream university, the basic science subject such as biology and chemistry has high relation with major basic ability, however math and physics are related highly in agricultural machine and agricultural civil engineering department, economics and math are in agricultural produce distribution department. Second, the basic ability such as linguistic competence and foreign language ability are essential to complete major subject. Third, if we look into relation of agriculture and life science industry stream specialized subject with major basic competencies, we can find considerable similarity between major field of university and subject name of specialized high school. Fourth, the main opinion is that basic concept and principle, laws of nature are should be main contents which is able to be practical, however experiment and practice is in food processing department, and academic theory is in biotechnology department.

The present situations of the education and training systems for the response to marine HNS spill incidents in domestic and foreign countries were reviewed and the plans to improve domestic system were suggested on the basis of the comparison between domestic and foreign education systems. There were almost no private education and training institutions in Korea, and they have not been activated, compared with those of foreign countries such as USA, Canada, Australia and UK. The domestic marine HNS-related education has been implemented uniformly under Korean government initiative. In addition, there were differences in the targets and duration of the education offered by Korea Coast Guard Academy (KCGA) and Marine Environment Research & Training Institute (MERTI) in Korea. Domestic HNS-related curriculum was relatively simple, compared with the curricula of foreign countries, and has not accepted two levels (operational level and manager level) required in HNS model courses of International Maritime Organization (IMO). The domestic education and training period was short relatively to those of foreign countries. The following suggestions were made to improve the education and training system for the response to domestic marine chemical incidents. In the short term, an HNS education and training management consultation body (tentative name) should be established, with both KCGA and MERTI participating jointly while maintaining the current system of the two institutions (KCGA and MERTI) simultaneously. In the more distant and long term, the HNS-related departments of KCGA and MERTI should be incorporated into a National Marine HNS Response Academy (tentative name) as unified system to enable international competitiveness.

Sustainability has been a important issue in fashion industry that reflects the modern phase of the time. More education institutions than ever before are beginning to offer specialized courses, certificates and degrees related to sustainability in fashion, and many fashion institutions are working to embed sustainability issues into the educational contents. In this study, I investigate how sustainability is being integrated into the curriculum of leading fashion institutions, corporate management activity across the world and overview the world leading educational programmes related to sustainable fashion, pulling out the unique expertise and areas of specialization for each institution. In conclusion, the sustainable fashion were still not widely promoted domestical fashion institutions compare with other foreign leading fashion institutions. This happens in fashion business as well. Korean fashion institutions have to make educational program and certificates and degrees related to sustainability because the educational program can transform domestic fashion industry to sustainable fashion leading country level.

This paper reports on an identification test where KFL learners identified the Korean three-way laryngeal contrast in the phrase-initial position, when the phrase-initial tone was systematically manipulated. It turns out that heritage learners have some sensitivity to phrase-initial tone and show a plain-aspirated alternation in their identification according to the phrase-initial tone, as native speakers do, whereas non-heritage students do not show such tone sensitivity. However, after a weekly prosody training, second-year non-heritage students have shown a significant improvement in their performance. This paper clearly shows that the phrase-initial tone plays a critical role in distinguishing laryngeal features of Korean obstruents, and also suggests that prosody including the tone-segment correlation should be incorporated in the KFL curriculum.

In this paper we represented the results of surveying on the present condition of mathematics education and the contents of the mathematics text books that are usually taught in Art High Schools interest in mathematics subjects and to achieve the higher level of mathematical abilities. We would like to raise their interest in mathematics and to improve the efficiency of teaching level on the basis of the 7th Mathematics Curriculum Revision. Some suggestions are of offered by considering the level of their mathematical abilities in Art High Schools and the present contents of the mathematical subjects from following views ⑴ the aspect of studying method ⑵ the aspect of revising contents of mathematics textbooks for them ⑶ the aspect of educational policies for Art High Schools

The prospect of security services industries is as followings. First, integrated security system will be increased in the security service sphere of collective housing such as apartments. Second, the needs to security services with high-tech electronic security system and systematic security service against crimes will be increased. Third, the needs to crime prevention and disaster prevention service including information security service by means of internet and information and communication technology will be increased. Fourth, perhaps domestic market of security service will be reshaped in relation with localization trend and entrance of foreign security service companies to our country. With these conclusions I think that the departments of universities related to security services will focus on their social roles.

In early 1970s, open education was introduced with drastically changing educational concept. Since then, open education has brought about new concept and variations in curriculum, schools have adopted open education since mid 1980s. Open education which has advanced in foreign countries, how-ever, do not fit to the Korean educational situation without some modification in educational facilities. This education in Korea faced and making some suggestions on educational facilities for the effective open ducation in Korea. After briefly reviewing the conceprs of open education. I introduced educational facilities for open education regarded as basic in advanced countries, then I analyzed through questionaire current status of educational facilities of 23 Korean schools which have adopted open education. Finally I made some suggestions to improve educational facilities for effective open education of Korea.

Recently, many more fisheries and shipping high school students have entered college than those of the past. But, this trend could be attributed to the easy and various forms of selection for college admission. Thus the examinations of the college scholastic ability 2005 have added to the vocational search ability including verbal ability, mathematic ability, foreign language ability and inquiry ability. The vocational search ability in fisheries and shipping field is concluded the general fisheries science, general maritime science, general marine science and fisheries and shipping information management. This study analyzed the questions of the fisheries and shipping subject of vocational search field with high school 2nd students on October 2003. In result, this study identified some needed basic scholastic ability for fisheries and shipping high school students.
