In response to the recent decline in the school-age population, universities have made attracting foreign students a major policy task for universities. As a result, the number of foreign students increased rapidly in terms of quantity, but in terms of quality, the risk is inevitable. Accordingly, the government presented education and internationalization competency certification system indicators on the basis of which quality control of students was systematized. Based on the above certification system, this study focused on analyzing the multiple factors that are actually given to the academic adaptation (performance) of the 2200 students who entered a certain university. In addition, factors other than the certification system index were discovered to comprehensively track how they affect the academic performance of students studying abroad. The researcher found the multi-reciprocal model analysis showed that the difference between the learner and the moderator was significant, and whether or not they had the Korean proficiency test (TOPIK) was significant. It also said that it could have a direct impact on Chinese University Entrance Exams (高考) are significant. If a model that is very effective in selecting students is established by each university and used as an indicator through this study, it will serve as a basis for efficient selection of students.

In recently, various types of applications have been developed according the smart phone has become popular. Most of the linguistic contents in mobile based are concentrated on learning foreign languages like English, Japanese, Chinese compared that the development of contents for Korean education is imperfect. This study aims to examine how motivational constructs are interrelated with social, context-specific factors and, as a result, contribute to L2 writing achievement within the framework of self-determination theory. The data consisted of 67 Korean college students' questionnaire responses, final scores in an on-offline blended writing course, and qualitative interviews with 5 students. In the descriptive and the correlation analyses, the participants' extrinsic motivation was found higher than intrinsic motivation, with low amotivation. Among social factors, immersion environment, foreign instructor, and peer comparison marked high scores, whereas Korean instructor and online material gained low scores. Those contextual factors were interrelated with each other, such that the immersion factor correlated significantly with Korean instructor and peer comparison. Extrinsic and intrinsic motivational subscales engendered strong correlations with the high-scored social factors, i.e., immersion, foreign instructor, and peer comparison, which were also closely interrelated with L2 writing achievement. The findings illuminate intricate workings of motivation in its effects on L2 achievement and corroborate the roles of contextual factors. The effect of motivational subscales on achievement may be valid through interplay with some social factors. The dynamics of motivation is discussed for pedagogical applications.

In this study, it is the study of foreign tourism content information providing utilizing mobile indoor location information services. In particular, we compared the Web App used in Osaka, Japan. Widespread use of smartphones in the world increases, it is changed to free travel of individuals from group travel. Tourists cultural complex shopping mall is able to travel in a room is increasing. By utilizing the services of the guidance location based on the room, it is possible to easily obtain the discount coupon information, tourism content. Also, it is possible to grasp the movement path and disaster relief information. Osaka Japanese tourists increased after the earthquake in Tokyo. So we compare the difference in Osaka web and applications. If improving the indoor location information service method of domestic if it would help foreign tourists attract. In addition, it will give a big impact if there is a fusion of the Internet of things.

These days, smart phones are being widely used and accordingly, a larger number of consumers have become interested in them, thus many applications are being developed with a variety of forms. There are various fields in it, such as multimedia, games, information and education, as per users' disposition and characteristics. As for the current contents for language education in mobile environment, the market is dominated by contents for learning foreign language such as English, Japanese and Chinese, while contents for educating Korean language are minuscule. In this paper, thus, we design and implement a elementary Korean language educational contents for foreign beginners who can use the contents at their smart phones with Android OS.

This study explores the relationship between outward foreign direct investment (FDI) and innovation in 61 industries of Korea between 1999 and 2016. In order to mitigate the endogeneity problem due to potential reverse causality between FDI and innovation, we use the GMM (generalized method of moments). Our results are as follows. First, FDI has a positive effect on innovation. A possible explanation is that through FDI, multinational companies may assimilate host countries' technologies and knowledge by learning, and then recreating new technologies. Furthermore, this positive effect appears greater, as industrial competition becomes fiercer. This result provides empirical evidence that by recreating technology and knowledge learned through FDI with their own intangible assets, such as patents, they may gain a competitive edge over competitors. Second, this study confirms the greater positive effects of FDI in developed countries, as well as countries with higher technology levels. Finally, strategic asset seeking FDI has the greatest positive impact on innovation in Korean industries. In summary, our findings provide empirical evidence that Korean multinationals can learn technology and knowledge of host countries through FDI to secure a competitive edge in the Korean market.

Purpose: This paper aims to investigate how self-regulatory focus (SRF) influences the relationship between perceived brand localness (PBL) and purchase intentions (PI). This research adopted both domestic and foreign-owned brands to examine the moderating effect of self-regulatory orientations and product types respectively to exclude the interference of brand origin. Research design, data, and methodology: This study surveyed Chinese consumers and collected data using social media applications. ANOVA analysis and PROCESS modeling were adopted to complete the empirical analysis. Results: This research demonstrates that brand origin does not inhibit the positive impact of PBL on purchase intentions regardless of whether it originates from mainland China or not. Study 1 proved that the effect of PBL on PI is more convincing among consumers with promotion focus orientations. In study 2, higher purchase intentions were found for hedonic perceived local brands among promotion-focused consumers while significant preferences were found for utilitarian perceived local brands among prevention-focused consumers. Conclusions: This research complements the literature about the potential psychological factors influencing PBL and contributes to marketers in developing effective marketing strategies and appropriate positioning decisions. Overall, this study has important theoretical and managerial contributions to international marketing, particularly in the context of the current recession.

It is common in practice to use mean squared error(MSE) for prediction. Recently, Park and Shin (2005) and Jones et al. (2007) studied prediction based on mean squared relative error(MSRE). We proposed a new nonparametric way of prediction based on MSRE substituting Jones et al. (2007) and provided a small simulation study which highly supports the proposed method.

In this paper, for analyzing binary data, Poisson regression with offset and logistic regression are compared with respect to the power via simulations. Poisson distribution can be used as an approximation of binomial distribution when n is large and p is small; however, we investigate if the same conditions can be held for the power of significant tests between logistic regression and offset poisson regression. The result is that when offset size is large for rare events offset poisson regression has a similar power to logistic regression, but it has an acceptable power even with a moderate prevalence rate. However, with a small offset size (< 10), offset poisson regression should be used with caution for rare events or common events. These results would be good guidelines for users who want to use offset poisson regression models for binary data.
