This paper presents a dynamic force analysis of switched reluctance motor using 2D-transient finite element method. The main exciting of the vibration is the electiromagnetic force in the stator that is calculated Maxwell stress method. The advantage for elimation of vibration of 12/8 SRM was explained by comparing the radial force of 12/8 and 6/4 SRM in both time and frequency domain. In order to effective mitigate the vibration during turning off process, effects of different commutation method were investigated.

The nonlinear vibration of a cantilever beam due to electromagnetic force is studied. The dynamic responses of the beam show various phenomena with the variation of the system parameters, such as jump phenomenon, multiple solutions and the change of the natural frequency. The nonlinear stiffness due to electromagnetic forces which depends on air gap size is measured experimentally. This system was modeled by a single degree of freedom nonlinear dynamic system and solved numerically for the system parameters. The numerical results show good agreements with the experimental observations, which demonstrates the nonlinearity of magnetic force.

A machine tool has some serous stability problem in the from of tool chatter during the cutting process. Chatter vibration deteriorates the surface finish, reduce tool and machine life, accelerate machine tool system component wear, and may lead to an unacceptable noise sound in the working environment. In this study, in order to moni색 of the chatter vibration on the cutting process, the behavior of spectral density of AE signal and principal cutting force signal has been investigated. Furthermore, its reliability from obtained the results has been studied to evaluate and confirm the proposed method with the application procedure and the experimental results.

In this work, a dynamic absorber with a plate-type cantilever using magnetic force is proposed to reduce the vibration of a compressor directly. The dynamic absorber using magnetic force has some advantages of easily tuning the control frequency by adjusting the magnet spacing and obtaining wider control frequency band. The dynamic absorber is designed theoretically and tested experimentally to estimate the control frequency band. When the compressor is equipped with the dynamic absorber, the vibration of compressor and the noise level of refrigerator are reduced by 30 % and 3.2 dB respectively.

A simple beam subjected to a uniformly distributed tangential follower force and the successive two moving spring-mass systems upon it constitute this vibration system. The influences of the velocities of the moving spring-mass system, the distance between the successive two moving spring-mass systems and the uniformly distributed tangential follower force have been studied on the dynamic behavior of a simple beam by numerical method. The uniformly distributed tangential follower force is considered within its critical value of a simple beam without the successive two moving spring-mass systems, and three kinds of constant velocities and constant distance of the successive two moving spring-mass systems are also chosen. Their coupling effects on the transverse vibration of the simple beam are inspected too.

The normal force and vibration characteristic are affected by tooth shapes of linear pulse motor. In this paper, we obtained the normal force according to the position of mover and tooth shapes using the finite element analysis. From the result, we can find the vibration characteristics. Also we predict the characteristics of normal force and vibration.

Various types of elliptical motions are generated by PZT mechanism which is composed of two parallel piezoelectric actuators. Elliptical vibration cutting(EVC) is obtained by attaching single crystal diamond cutting tool to the mechanism, and V-grooving for Brass and Aluminum is carried out by applying the EVC. It is experimentally observed that the cutting force in the process of the EVC reduces compared to the ordinary non-vibration cutting, which is due to the decrease of undeformed chip thickness and frictional force between the tool and chip. Ultrasonic elliptical vibration cutting(UEVC) suppresses burr formation and decreases cutting force still more, so UEVC makes it possible to enhance the shape accuracy of machined surface.

The elimination of chatter vibration is necessary to improve the precision and the productivity of the cutting operation. A new mathematical model of chatter vibration is presented in order to predict the dynamic cutting force from the static cutting data. The dynamic cutting force is analytically expressed by the static cutting coefficient and the dynamic cutting coefficient which can be determined from the cutting mechanics. The stability analysis is carried out by a two degree of freedom system. The chatter experiments are conducted by exciting the cutting tool with an impact hammer during an orthogonal cutting. A good agreement is shown between the stability limits predicted by theory and the critical width of cut determined by experiments.

The number and locations of force generators and their force directions of Active Vibration Control System(AVCS) are important to maximize the airframe vibration reduction performance of helicopters. The present AVCS simulation using an exhaustive test method attempts to determine the best number and locations of force generators and their force directions for maximization of the airframe vibration reduction performance of UH-60A helicopter at 158 knots. The 4P hub vibratory loads of the UH-60A helicopter are calculated using DYMORE II, a nonlinear multibody dynamics analysis code, and MSC.NASTRAN is used to predict the vibration responses of the UH-60A airframe. The AVCS framework with an exhaustive test method is constructed using MATLAB Simulink. As a result, when applying AVCS with the optimal combination of the force generators, the 4P airframe vibration responses of UH-60A helicopter are reduced by from 19.35% to 98.07% compared to the baseline results without AVCS.
In this paper, forced vibration was used to regulate the droplet migration, fully recording the transient migration of droplets on a micro-textured substrate under the resonance frequency by a high-speed camera. The influence of resonance frequency and dynamic migration characteristics of droplets on the solid micro-texture surface under lateral vibration were researched. The experiment demonstrates that the driving force is caused by the difference between the left and right contact angles made the droplet oscillate and migrate, and as time t increases, the left and right contact points are periodically shifted and the amplitude of migration increases. Therefore, based on the droplet migration behavior and its force balance mechanism, a spring vibration model of migration behavior of the vibrating droplet micro unit was set up to predict the complete trajectory of its migration on a solid surface. The calculation results show that the theoretical displacement is less than the experimental displacement, and the longer the time, the larger the difference. Affected by the vibration, part of the droplet permeates through the micro-texture, resulting in the droplet losing height and the contact angle becoming smaller as well. While the other part of droplet overcomes the internal surface tension to migrate.
