Effect of Food Waste Compost on Crop Productivity and Soil Chemical Properties under Rice and Pepper Cultivation

  • Food waste has recognized one of useful sources for potentially agricultural application to supply organic matter and nutrients in arable soil. However, there was little information on application of food waste compost related to the maturity and NaCl content in arable soil. This study evaluated the effect of food waste compost application on yield and fertility in soil under flooding and upland condition. The yields in rice and pepper cultivation decreased with increasing the rate of food waste compost application in soil (p<0.05). Maximum yields of rice ($49.0g\;plant^{-1}$) and pepper ($204g\;plant^{-1}$) were shown at 10 and $30Mg\;ha^{-1}$ of food waste compost application, respectively. The N, P, and K contents in grain and plant residues increased by the application of food waste compost, there was no difference on Na/K ratio in plant tissue among the treatments. Application of food waste compost resulted in the increase of pH, EC, TC, available P contents in soil after crop harvest, especially, which was shown the increase of the CEC and exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP) contents in irrespective of water condition. In conclusion, application of food waste compost in soil was effective on the supply of the organic matter and nutrient. However, it might need caution to apply food waste compost for sustainable productivity in arable soil because of potential Na accumulation.

  • NFC(Near Field Communication)는 근거리 무선 통신의 일종으로 RFID 기술의 한 영역이다. NFC 기술은 데이터 전송, 출입통제 시스템 활용 및 모바일 결제와 같은 많은 영역에서 유용하게 사용되고 있다. 최근 NFC를 활용한 스마트폰 어플리케이션 개발이 활성화되고 있지만, 현재 NFC 태그의 편리성에 대한 인식은 미미한 상태이다. 본 논문은 마트를 방문하는 고객에게 편리성과 식품에 대한 지식을 제공하기 위해 만든 Application에 대한 내용이다. 사용자는 마트에서 스마트폰을 이용하여 식품 전시대에 붙어있는 NFC에 태그하게 되면 식품정보, 구입요령, 보관법, 효능 등의 데이터가 스마트폰 화면을 통해 제공된다. 해당 식품을 구매할 경우 '냉장고에 넣기' 버튼 클릭 시 Application의 식품목록으로 넘어가며, 식품목록 화면을 통해 자신의 냉장고안의 식품목록, 유통기한 등의 정보를 제공함으로써 사용자들이 좀 더 편리하게 식품을 구매할 수 있도록 도와준다.

충청북도 지역의 학교급식과 산업체급식 영양사의 직무 수행시 식품영양학전공 교과내용의 활용도 평가 (The Evaluation on the Extent of Dieticians' Application of the Curriculum of the Food and Nutrition Department to their Work)

  • The purposes of this study were to evaluate the extent of dieticians' application of the curriculum of the food and nutrition major to their work and to suggest improvement measures for more efficiently applicable curriculum. A questionnaire survey of 552 dieticians at school food service and industry food service operations in Korea was conducted and 178 completed questionnaires were available for the purpose of the statistical evaluation. Statistical analyses were made of raw data by way of using the SPSS/win 7.2 program. The main results of this study were summarized as follows : Dietitian’s job could be categorized into 11 duties and 92 task elements. The application level was ranked at a level between 3 point and 4 pont(out of 5 scale) in the most area of the 92 task elements. Out of 11 duties, duty of sanitation management was applied at the highest level, while duty of nutrition education and duty of consultation management were utilized at the lowest level. Compared with the industry food service dieticians, dieticians at school food service operations employed the curriculum at the higher level. The effectiveness of experiments and practicum curriculum was ranked at the lower level than 3 point(out of 5 scale).

모바일 배달 애플리케이션 사용성 평가 연구: 한국(배달의민족)과 중국(어러머)을 중심으로 (Research on Usability of Mobile Food Delivery Application: Focusing on Korean Application and Chinese Application)

  • 최근 인터넷의 발전과 스마트폰 보편화에 따라 배달 애플리케이션의 이용률이 높아지면서 O2O 기반의 외식 배달 시장이 급격하게 성장하고 있다. 본 연구는 한국(배달의민족)과 중국(어러머) 배달애플리케이션의 사용성을 비교 분석하고, 국내 배달 애플리케이션의 개선 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구 방법으로는 1차로 국내외 배달 애플리케이션의 현황을 파악하고, 2차로 피터모빌의 허니콤 모델을 재구성하여, 이를 기준으로 설문조사와 심층인터뷰 진행하였다. 사용성 평가결과를 분석하여 제안된 개선 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 배달의민족의 모든 가맹업체들은 애플리케이션으로 주문이 가능해야 한다. 둘째, 장바구니에 다른 업소의 음식을 동시에 담을 수 있어야 한다. 셋째, 화면 첫 페이지에서 장바구니와 구매내역을 바로 찾아볼 수 있고 첫 페이지에 오늘의 추천 메뉴를 보여주는 것은 사용자의 편의성을 높이는 것에 도움을 준다. 넷째, 검색창을 상단에 고정하면 검색성을 높일 수 있다. 다섯째, 배달 예상 시간과 배달원의 정확한 위치를 확인할 수 있어야 한다. 마지막으로 업소 주소가 명시되고 예상 배달 가능 시간에 대한 보장이 이루어진다면 신뢰성을 높일 수 있다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 국내 배달 애플리케이션 서비스 향상에 기여하기를 기대한다.

  • Terahertz (THz) represents the portion of the electromagnetic radiation between the microwave and the infrared region and is within the frequency range of 0.1-10 THz. The ability of THz waves to pass through a wide variety of packaging materials, combined with their ability to characterize the molecular structure of many substances makes it an attractive tool for the application of food quality and safety management. This review provides current information on application of THz spectroscopy/imaging technology for food quality and safety management. The THz spectroscopy/imaging technology has been shown to be useful for detecting foreign bodies, vitamin/moisture, pesticides, antibiotics, melamine etc. However, major barriers to the adoption of THz spectroscopy/imaging for food quality and safety management include THz signal loss in heterogeneous food matrices, high costs of sources and detectors, and absence of a library for the wide group of food compounds. Further research is needed to overcome these barriers.

  • Emulsifiers are widely accepted ingredients in food & beverage applications owing to their functional properties. The multi-functionality of emulsifiers increases its adoption in end-use applications. Also, the growing demand of natural sources of ingredients and increase in demand for convenience foods and premium products have expanded the application areas of food emulsifiers in the food & beverage industries. Emulsifiers are increasingly used by food processors to make their food products more cost-efficient and robust, enabling them to endure the rigors of harsh processing.

E-서비스품질과 소비자 태도 및 만족도 간의 관계: 중국 음식배달 애플리케이션 중심으로 (Influences of the E-service Quality of Food Delivery Application in China on Customer Attitude, and Satisfaction)

  • Purpose - The food delivery mobile application market is growing rapidly in the catering service industry. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of E-service quality on consumer attitudes and satisfaction in the food delivery service field in China. Design/methodology/approach - A total of 390 copies of this questionnaire were distributed between February 17 and March 25, 2021 on the Chinese survey site (https://www.wjx.cn). Three hundred forty-nine parts were used for the final analysis. Validity and reliability were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 statistical program, and correlation and regression analysis were performed. Findings - The study results showed among the e-service quality components of food delivery application software, trust, convenience, proximity and reactivity have an impact on consumer attitudes. Research implications or Originality - The service quality of food application software is an important factor determining consumer attitude. The limitations of this study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

The Effect of Perceive Ease of Use, Perceive Usefulness and Perceive Risk towards Behavioral Intention of GO-FOOD Customer in Indonesia

  • Purpose: Technology and innovation drive new mobile application for ojek online. Using the theory of technology acceptance model and perceived risk theory, the researcher wants to find how these factors affect user's intention to use GO-FOOD that leads to technology adoption. Research design, data and methodology: The researcher uses GO-FOOD users that located in East Java, Indonesia for the object of study. Results: The findings of the research discovered that perceive usefulness and perceive ease of use do not significantly affect user's behavioral intention while perceive risk is significantly affecting the user's behavioral intention. Conclusions: The findings suggested that GO-FOOD or similar application should focus more on reducing or eliminating user's perception of risk towards the mobile application

  • Application of lactic acid bacteria in the markets are divided into four categories: dairy industry, health food industry, animal feed industry and pharmaceutical industries. Recently, Lactobacillus acidophilus have been used in the food industry and have obtained great attention as key cultures for health benefit. Since commercial application of L. acidophilus has become a common practice, characterization of these cultures were made. Futhermore, the strains selected should produce a final dairy product possessing good taste and acceptable body and texture, a selection step that cannot be achieved unless the product is actually manufactured. Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) have been recognized as antioxidants, cancer inhibitors, cholesterol depressing agents, and growth promoting factors. Food products from ruminants, particularly dairy products, are the major dietary source of CLA f3r humans. The CLA content in yogurt or cheese can be increased by action of the starter cultures. The finding of the production of CLA by food starter culture opens interesting perspectives far the future in producing fermented products enriched in CLA.
