안면부 여과식 방진 마스크의 형태 및 착용 방법 교육이 밀착계수에 미치는 영향 비교 (Comparison of Effects of Mask Style and Donning Training on Fit Factors of Particulate Filtering Facepiece Respirators)

  • Particulate filtering facepiece respirators (PFFR) is one of the most widely used items of personal protective equipments, and a tight fit of the respirators on the wearers is critical for the protection effectiveness. In order to effectively protect the workers through the respirators, it is important to find and evaluate the ways that can be readily applicable at the workplace to improve the fit of the respirators. This study was designed to evaluate effects of mask style (cup or foldable type) and donning training on fit factors (FF) of the respirators, since these are available at various workplace, especially at small business workplace. A total of 40 study subjects, comprised of 30~50s aged male and female workers in metalworking industries, were enrolled in this study. The FF were quantitatively measured before and after training related to the proper donning and use of cup or foldable-type respirators. The pass/fail criterion of FF was set at 100. After the donning training for the cup-type mask, subjects who passed the fit test were increased from 10 to 33. Moreover, the geometric mean (GM) of FF was increased by 340% in subjects who failed the test. In addition, the training effects for the cup-type mask were significant in female and 50s aged subjects. On the other hand, although the GM of FF for the foldable-type mask was also increased after the donning training, the GM of FF for the foldable-type mask and it's increase rate were smaller as compared to the cup-type mask. Furthermore, the differences of the increase rates of the GM of FF in sex and aged of the subjects were not significantly for the foldable-type mask. The multi-distribution of leak points for the foldable-type mask may be one of causes for the less effect of training on the fit of the foldable-type mask. These results imply that the raining on the donning and use of PFFR can enhance the protection effectiveness of cup or foldable-type mask, and that the training effects for the foldable-type mask is less significant than that for the cup-type mask. Therefore, It is recommended that the donning training and fit tests should be conducted before the use of the PFFR, and that efficient tranining programs for the foldable-type mask are required.

중소규모 사업장의 교육 환경과 고용형태에 따른 호흡보호구 인식도 및 밀착계수 비교 (Comparison of Recognition and Fit Factors according to Education Actual Condition and Employment Type of Small and Medium Enterprises)

  • There was a difference in recognition of respirators according to the educational performance environment. they were showed higher recognition of respirators of group by internal and external mix trainer, less than 6 months, over 1hour, more than 5 times, variety of education. To identify the relationship between types of job classification(typical and atypical)and the levels of recognition of respirators, a total of 153 workers in a business workplace. mainly, typical workers showed higher recognition of respirators than atypical workers. Training of correct wearing showed high demands both typical and atypical workers. Descriptive statistics(SAS ver 9.2)was performed. the results of recognition of respirators were analyzed the mean and standard deviation by t-test, and anova, fit factor is used geometric means(geometric standard deviation), paired t-test, Wilcoxon analysis(P=0.05). Therefore, it is recommended that the donning training and fit tests should be conducted before the use of the PFFR, and listening to workers opinion regularly.

현장계측에 의한 접이식 웨지 장착 강관네일의 인발거동 평가 (Estimation of Pull-out Behavior for Steel Pile Nailing installed Foldable Wedge by Field Measurement)

  • 본 연구에서는 접이식 웨지가 장착된 경량 강관네일의 인발저항 증진효과를 평가하기 위하여 동일 지반조건에서 시험시공을 통한 접이식 웨지가 장착된 네일과 웨지가 장착되지 않은 네일의 현장 인발거동 특성을 평가하였다. 강관네일의 현장 인발거동 특성 평가는 극한인발저항력 ($T_L$), 단위주면 마찰저항($q_s$, $u_{max}$), 인발강성계수($K_{\beta}$) 및 네일의 인장력 분석을 통하여 수행되었으며, 그 결과 접이식 웨지를 장착할 경우 풍화토 지반에서 약 30% 정도의 인발저항 증진효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

접이식 웨지 장착 강관네일의 현장 인발시험 및 3차원 유한요소해석 (Field Pull-out Test and 3-D FEM Analysis for Steel Pipe Nailing Installed Foldable Wedge)

  • 본 연구에서는 접이식 웨지를 장착한 강관네일의 거동 특성 평가를 위해 현장인발시험 및 3차원 수치해석을 수행하였다. 접이식 웨지를 장착한 강관네일의 현장인발시험 결과 접이식 웨지가 없는 경우에 비해 약 30% 정도의 인발 저항 증진효과가 있는 것으로 평가되었다. 한편, 강관네일의 합리적인 인발거동 분석을 위해 3차원 수치해석에서는 접이식 웨지가 장착 되지 않은 강관네일의 역해석을 통하여 현장 인발거동과 일치하는 네일과 지반사이의 마찰 특성을 평가하고, 이를 접이식 웨지가 장착된 강관네일의 해석에 도입하여 그 거동을 분석하였다. 시행착오를 통한 역해석 결과 그라우트와 지반 사이의 마찰계수(${\mu}$)는 약 1.2 정도가 발휘되는 것으로 평가되었으며, 강관네일의 극한인발저항력은 $$T_L{\sim_=}32$$ tonf으로 접이식 웨지가 장착되지 않은 네일의 $$T_L{\sim_=}24$$ tonf 보다 약 33% 증가하는 것으로 평가되어 현장인발시험결과와 거의 일치하는 것으로 나타났다.

$\cdot$전동 복합기능의 접이식 휠체어 개발 (Development of the Foldable Manual/Power Hybrid Wheelchair)

  • Although there existed many types of manual/power hybrid wheelchairs, their use was not widespread because of their inconvenience in converting drive system and in folding frames. To carry a wheelchair in the car or to convert driving methods, some hard work of disassembling or exchanging wheels was required for most of currently available hybrid wheelchairs. In this study, the standard foldable manual wheelchair was reformed to a power wheelchair by installing the newly developed Axial Flux Permanent Magnet(AFPM) type of brush less direct current(BLDC) motor on each rear hub of wheelchair. This wheelchair could be driven by manual or electric power without exchanging. wheels, thus no additional work was needed for carriage or for power conversion. The developed wheelchair was evaluated for durability, stability, maneuverability, cost, and reliability in accordance with the Korean standards. The results indicated that the developed hybrid wheelchair was good enough for commercialization comparing to other imported wheelchairs.

Stretchable and Foldable Electronics by Use of Printable Single-Crystal Silicon

  • Realization of electronics with performance equal to established technologies that use rigid semiconductor wafers, but in lightweight, foldable and stretchable formats would enable many new application possibilities. Examples include wearable systems for personal health monitoring, 'smart' surgical gloves with integrated electronics and electronic eye type imagers that incorporate focal plane arrays on hemispherical substrates. Circuits that use organic or certain classes of inorganic electronic materials on plastic or steel foil substrates can provide some degree of mechanical flexibility, but they cannot be folded or stretched. Also, with few exceptions such systems offer only modest electrical performance. In this talk, I will present a new approach to high performance, flexible and stretchable integrated circuits. These systems combine single-crystal silicon nanoribbons with thin plastic or elastomeric substrates using both "top-down" and "transfer-printing" technologies. The strategies represent promising routes to high performance, flexible and stretchable optoelectronic devices that can incorporate established, high performance inorganic electronic materials.

Optics of the light-weight and foldable telescope based on the Fresnel lens

  • We analyze an optical system of a telescope based on Fresnel type objective lens as suggested by Hyde (1999). The Fresnel objective lens can be thin, light-weight and foldable, and therefore it is possible to develop a space telescope with an aperture larger than that of traditional telescopes. Moreover a lens, whatever it is either Fresnel type or conventional, allows much larger fabrication tolerances. We design a medium-sized telescope adopting Fresnel lens as an objective lens for use in space and possibly on the ground. The well-known chromatic aberration of the Fresnel primary lens is corrected by a field lens and another Fresnel lens using Schupmann method. An additional lens is used for forming images. We analyze the chromatic and off-axis aberrations of the proposed system analytically and suggest methods for the minimization of off-axis aberrations and for the operation in wider spectral range. We also conduct ray tracing and optimize the whole optical system with commercial software. Finally we present the design parameters of a telescope with an aperture of 0.5 to 1 meters, enabling diffraction limited operation for a moderate field of view about 10 arc-minutes.

Recent Advance of Flexible Organic Memory Device

  • With the recent emergence of foldable electronic devices, interest in flexible organic memory is significantly growing. There are three types of flexible organic memory that have been researched so far: floating-gate (FG) memory, ferroelectric field-effect-transistor (FeFET) memory, and resistive memory. Herein, performance parameters and operation mechanisms of each type of memory device are introduced, along with a brief summarization of recent research progress in flexible organic memory.

환경고려설계를 위한 환경성 평가방법과 휴대폰의 적용 예 (Evaluation Method of Design for Environment (DFE) and Case Study for Cellular Phone Case)

  • In this paper, the concept of design for environment (DFE) was introduced to mechanical design and manufacturing of cellular phone case. A new evaluation method integrated in existing product manufacturing process was developed and applied to two different types of cellular phone cases: foldable type and slider type. The evaluation results suggested that scores for 'refurbishments & recycle' criterion were relatively low for their cases. This evaluation method may assist designers to draw a checklist of the product's weak points from the perspective of DFE. From the checklist, the designers can consider possible improvements in future design.

독거노인을 위한 융복합 실내 보온용 텐트디자인에 관한 연구 (A study on Indoor Insulating Tent Design for Senior Citizens who Live Alone)

  • 통계청에 따르면 2017년 기준으로 국내 65세 이상 노인 인구는 700만명을 돌파하였고 이중 독거노인의 수는 130만 명을 넘어섰다고 하였다. 독거노인들은 대부분 절대적 빈곤(68.5%가 월 소득 50만원 미만)으로 우리사회의 사각지대에 놓여져 있는 상황에서 기본적인 생활에 곤란을 겪고 있는 실정이다. 특히 겨울철 취약계층의 독거노인들의 난방은 심각하며 그나마 전기난로나 전기장판 등 전기 안전용품 취급 부주의로 화재사고도 빈번하게 일어나고 있는 실정이다. 실내용 텐트제품들이 독거노인들에게서 이용되어지고 있는 가장 큰 이유로는 에너지 절감과 따뜻한 수면, 화재 안전 등으로 나타났다. 이러한 실내용 텐트의 시장 확대에 따라 본 연구의 목적은 저소득 독거노인에게 적합한 실내용 텐트가 필요하다고 판단하였고, 그에 따른 이용성, 휴식, 보관 등의 효율성을 개선시키는데 목표를 두었다. 따라서 본 논문은 기존 브랜드의 제품들에서 기초 조사를 하여 장·단점을 분석하여 기존 판매 되고 있는 제품에서 소비자들이 원하는 요구를 파악할 수 있었다. 이어 디자인모델을 통한 소비자선호도 조사를 실시하여 설치편리성, 공간 활용성, 외관디자인 측면에서 가장 우수한 Zabara type을 선정하였다. 선정 결과를 토대로 제품디자인 제작 및 최종 프로토타입을 완성하였다. 연구 결과 및 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실 사용자의 사용성 조사와 인터뷰를 통해 제품 개발 시 미처 인지하지 못했던 요소를 파악할 수 있었다. 둘째, 프로토타입의 효과적인 부분에서는 기대 이상으로 고령자들이 쉽게 그리고 빠르게 설치 및 접을 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로써 향후 독거노인 뿐만 아니라 다양한 사용자가 실내에서 또 하나의 편안한 개인공간으로써 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
