Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore experiences among undergraduate nursing students in a high-fidelity simulation education course for a semester. Method: The participants in this study were 10 nursing students in the senior classes and volunteers. Data collection was conducted using a focus group interview for 100 minutes, which was recorded on video tape. Transcribed data was analyzed through qualitative content analysis. Result: The results of this study were deduced as 4 codes and 22 themes. Study participants reported experiences due to the simulation method itself, interaction among peer group and personal experiences during high-fidelity simulation education. Additionally, experiences related to clinical application were examined. The participants indicated positive outcomes such as developing clinical judgment skills and confidence. Conclusion: Overall, the results of this study supported the usability and effectiveness of a high-fidelity simulation education method in undergraduate nursing curriculum. Further studies are needed to provide more reliable and valid educational information.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the actual condition of the innovative sharing university project. To this end, a focus group interview was conducted by selecting officials participating in the innovative sharing university project as study participants. The collected data was analyzed using the content analysis method. The results of the study are as follows. First, in terms of the promotion system and operation dimension of project group, study participants presented difficulties and improvements in terms of the national promotion system and university-level project operation. Second, in terms of curriculum management dimension, study participants presented difficulties and improvements in content development and sharing, engagement support for professors and students participation, and securing and sharing educational infrastructure. Third, in terms of management of project performance indicators, study participants presented difficulties and improvements in managing core performance indicators, managing autonomy performance indicators, and sharing project performance. Based on these study results, suggestions for the use of research results were presented.

Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the jobs of paramedics who are diversifying by deriving duties in accordance with occupational group-related laws, although they are not directly specified in the job description of paramedics or the Emergency Medical Act. Methods: This study selected four paramedics who randomly extracted participants that submitted consent to participate between March 2023 and October 2023. Their occupational groups were the Korea coast guard and air rescue, health centers, and industries; they met on September 19, 2023, and directly transcribed the recorded contents through a three-and-a-half-hour focus group interview for analysis. Results: In the results, although the job description was not directly specified in the job description or emergency medical law, five areas of work applied to practice were derived: "rescue," "administration," "education," "industry," and "tactical." Conclusion: To expand jobs according to the diversification of the occupational field of paramedics, job analysis of paramedics belonging to various occupations is required.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore the general public's perception and status of oral muscle strength training, to develop age-appropriate educational media and training methods, and to promote the need for oral muscle strength training. Methods: Data were collected from 15 individuals across different age groups (young, middle-aged, and elderly) from December 2022 to February 2023 through focus group interviews, and they were conducted twice for each group in a face-to-face manner. Results: Four key categories were identified: lack of information, effectiveness of training, need for promotion, and factors necessary for implementation. The following themes emerged: lack of information, need for training, age-specific characteristics, need for repetition, age at which training is needed, lack of promotion, need for promotion, number of practitioners, willingness to practice, and appropriate media for training. Conclusions: Awareness of oral muscle strength training was found to be very low, and it is necessary to improve awareness through continuous information and appropriate education on its need among the public. Additionally, quality content or media that can be easily applied for effective training should be developed, and personnel who can perform training efficiently should be trained.

People's interest in how to lead a happy life when they get older is increasing because of the extension of life span due to thedevelopment of medical technology. Factors that can affect happiness or the strength of the influence of those factors may vary according to age. Previous studies, have found that individuals with promotion focus are more likely to experience happiness than those with prevention focus. However, whether this effect of regulatory focus on happiness is consistent regardless of age has not been sufficiently investigated. Therefore, 1,250 Korean adults from each age group and residence were randomly selected as thesample, and the moderating effect of age on the relationship between regulatory focus and subjective well-being was examined. The results indicated that promotion focus and age have a significant interaction effect on subjective well-being, while the interaction effect of prevention focus and age was not significant. More concretely, the positive effects of promotion focus on life satisfaction and affective balance grew stronger with increasing age. This finding implies that it is especially important for old adults to use promotion focus by actively setting challenging goals and motivating themselves to gain a sense of accomplishment to experience subjective well-being. In addition, social support is proposed as being especially important to activate their promotion focus.

With the requirement for providing multiple levels of access control for group members, many group key management schemes designed for hierarchical access control have been put forward. However, most of these schemes focus on the efficiency of group key establishment and rekeying in centralized environments. This paper proposes an integrated group key agreement (IGK) scheme for contributory environments. The IGK scheme employs the integrated key graph to remove key redundancies existing in single key trees, and reduces key establishment and rekeying time while providing hierarchical access control. Performance analyses and simulations conducted with respect to computation and communication overheads indicate that our proposed IGK scheme is more efficient than the independent group key agreement scheme.

With rapid growth and competition of electronic commerce through internet, various buying types and business models are being appeared. In this paper, we studied group buying which is new business model to consumer and factors affecting on trust and participation of group buying. The followings are the regression result of this study. First, familiarity factor, customer service factor, seal of security and product value factor made a significant effect on trust. Second, familiarity factor, perceived reputation factor, customer service factor, seal of security and product value factor made a significant effect on participation of group buying. Third, trust of group buying made a significant effect on participation of group buying. In this study, modeling and empirical test were implemented about structure of trust and participation of group buying. We can know where our group buying strategies should focus and which factor we should improve.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the general education contents for undergraduate students at engineering related departments through need analysis in order to develop creative and integral talents. For this study, the need analysis was conducted by using focus group interviews, Borich's educational need equation and the Locus for Focus Model, and highly ranked priorities on both methods proposed as the highest priorities. As a result, 'drawing up a letter of self-introduction and a portfolio', 'understanding fields', 'understanding careers related to the major', 'presentation skills', 'knowledge for certificated exams', 'method to deduct creative ideas' were high on the list of top five priorities. The selected items by Locus for Focus Model show that undergraduate students at engineering related departments need general education contents associated with career development and communication by priority.

Purpose: This study aimed to understand freshman's experience during a mentoring program at a newly opened nursing college. Methods: The study was qualitative research using focus groups. Data were collected through in-depth interviews performed from May 2 to May 30, 2011. The focus group interviews were conducted with 15 freshmen on their experiences with their mentors. The data were analyzed by the Colaizzi's method, in which the meaningful statements were extracted. Results: We identified the six categories from sixteen theme-clusters and thirty five themes: 1) meaningful relationship, 2) unexpected help, 3) realization, 4) solidification of one's determination, 5) establishment of a mentor image, and 6) wistful sense. Conclusion: The mentoring program was effective for a nursing college freshman to develop their vision and identity as a professional nursing.

The low growth rate and the high youth unemployment rate that our society faces have already come to our country core problem. Today, as we enter the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the social atmosphere that urgently needs to solve the problem of youth employment has become imminent, and the importance of university-industry cooperation is increasingly emphasized. In this paper, in this paper, we explore the process of how to develop fusion multifaceted curriculum centered on the Konkuk University College of Healing Bio Sciences Consortium Focus, which is developed and operated through literature review and Delphi questionnaire, The purpose of this study is to propose the conditions for enhancing educational suitability and the expansion of interdisciplinary convergence education.
