  • 이 연구는 기존의 미터링 오리피스보다 유량계수가 작은 미터링 벤츄리를 이용하여 포소화약제 혼합장치를 실무에서 주로 사용하는 직경으로 제작하여 혼합비가 적정한지를 평가한 연구로써 3%용 혼합비의 경우 가압수 직경 76.2 mm(포원액 직경 31.75 mm)는 3.1~3.5%의 혼합비의 변화를 나타내었고, 가압수 직경 101.6 mm(포원액 직경 38.1 mm)는 3.3~3.7%의 변화를 나타내어 포소화약제혼합장치등의 성능인증 및 제품검사의 기술기준인 3.0~3.9%를 만족하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 6% 혼합비의 경우 가압수 직경 76.2 mm는 6.4~6.8%의 혼합비의 변화를 나타내었고, 가압수 직경 101.6 mm는 6.25~6.5%의 변화를 나타내어 포소화약제혼합장치등의 성능인증 및 제품검사의 기술기준인 6.0~7.0%를 만족하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Influence of Foaming Agents on the Properties of Foamed Concretes Having Various Densities

  • Four types of foaming agents, including Alcohol Ethoxy Sulfate (AES), Alpha Olefin Sulfonate (AOS), Vegetable Soap (VS), and Fe-Protein (FP), are widely used in the construction field. These have different surface tensions and viscosities in water of the same concentration, affecting the flow speed of liquid, size and distribution of foam, and foam stability. However, there is a lack of data regarding the properties of foam concrete using various foam agents. The purpose of this study is to investigate influence of foaming agents on the properties of foamed concretes with various densities. We find that the foaming agent type has little effect on the density, compressive strength, and thermal conductivity of foam concrete, but considerably affects the unit weight of foam, flow and flexural strength of foamed concrete. While almost all properties of foam concrete are affected by density in fresh or hardened state, the potential energy changed by slurry density and the viscosity of foam are dominant factors in the flowability of foam slurry.

  • Metal foam is a class of attractive materials, which exhibits unique combinations of physical, mechanical, thermal, electrical and acoustic properties. In particular, it is light and good at absorbing energy, which makes it attractive in automotive and aerospace applications weight is critical. In this paper, the Mg alloy foam was prepared by melt foaming method by addition of calcium as thickening agent, and $TiH_2$ or $CaCO_3$ powder as blowing agent. The macrostructural observation of foamed Mg showed that the pore structures of Mg alloy foam made by $CaCO_3$ as blowing agent were much better than that of foams made by $TiH_2$ as blowing agent. In addition, this paper showed the possible reason of fabrication magnesium alloy foam in proportion to blowing agent and the porosity range was about 40 to 76% as results value.

  • Porous structures of aluminum foam have been studied. The apparent foam shape, foam hight, density, pore size, shape, and their distributions in various section areas of the experimental samples have been investigated. The sample have been cast into metallic mold, using aluminum foam prepared from a precursor based on pure Al ingot mixed with various amount of 1-2wt% increasing viscosity and foam agent materials. The process provides for flexibility in design of foam structures via relatively easy control over the amount of hydrogen evolution and the drainage processes which occur during foam formation. This is facilitated by manupulating parameters such as the foaming agent, thermal histories during solidification and mix melt viscosities. The acoustical performance of the panel made with the foamed aluminum is considerably improved; its absorption coefficient shows NRC 0.6-0.8. It has been found that the Al foam is very preferable for the compactness of the thermal system.

발포제 종류에 따른 페놀 폼의 물성 연구 (Effect of Blowing Agents on Properties of Phenolic Foam)

  • 본 연구에서는 LNG나 LPG등과 같은 초저온용 단열재로 사용되는 폴리우레탄 폼을 대체하기 위한 연구의 일환으로 레졸형 페놀수지를 사용하여 페놀 폼을 합성하였다. 페놀 수지 발포 폼을 합성하기 위해 HCFC-141b, HFC-365mfc와 HFC-227fa의 혼합물, n-pentane, cyclopentane, n-hexane 및 cyclohexane을 발포제로 사용하여 발포제에 따른 페놀수지 폼의 물성변화를 고찰하였다. 발포제로 cyclohexane을 사용하였을때 가장 우수한 단열성능과 압축강도를 나타내었으며 동일한 발포제를 사용하여 합성한 폴리우레탄 폼과의 내열성을 비교한 결과 폴리우레탄 폼에 비해 매우 우수한 내열성을 나타내었다.

Analysis of the Foam Generated Using Surfactant Sodium Lauryl Sulfate

  • The performance evaluation of a sodium lauryl sulfate to qualify as a foaming agent is presented in this paper. When new surfactants are used a systematic study of production parameters on the foam characteristics needs to be undertaken unlike proprietary foaming agents and foam generator for which manufacturer has predefined the parameters. The relative influence of the foam parameters and optimization of factors were carried out through a systematic experiment design. The foam production parameters namely foam generation pressure and dilution ratio of foaming agents are observed to have significant effect on all foam characteristics with the exception of foam output rate on which only foam generation pressure has influence. The foam with good initial foam density need not necessarily be stable foam. The optimum levels of foam production parameters are determined for the surfactant Sodium lauryl sulfate which can be used to produce stable foam for foam concrete production.

HIPE 중합에 의한 미세기공 발포체의 모폴로지 및 물성: 유화계 조성의 영향 (Morphology and Properties of Microcellular foams by High Infernal Phase Emulsion Polymerization: Effect of Emulsion Compositions)

  • 스티렌과 물이 주된 원료로 구성된 혼합물을 high internal Phase emulsion (HIP보) 중합을 통하여 균일한 구형의 등방성 구조로 이루어진 저밀도의 열린 구조 미세기공 발포체를 제조하였고, 물, 가교결합제인 divinylbenzene, 사슬이동제인 dodecane의 함량 변화 등의 중합조건이 미세기공발포체의 기공 크기 및 물성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 제조한 HIPE 발포체의 미세구조 모폴로지를 확인하기 위하여 SEM 사진으로 관찰하였고 기계적 물성을 평가하기 위하여 압축시험으로 압축 탄성률을 측정하였다. 연구 결과 오일 상에 수용액 상을 주입할 때 한 방울씩 연속적으로 주입하는 연속투여 방식의 경우가 한번에 주입하는 일괄투여 방식의 경우보다 균일하고 안정한 발포체를 제조하는데 효과적이었다. 교반속도와 계면활성제는 기공 크기와 계면의 window 크기에 상당한 영향을 끼쳤다. 사슬이동제의 첨가는 기공 크기를 증가시켰지만 window 크기는 오히려 감소시켰다. 발포체의 압축 탄성률은 가교결합제의 함량이 증가할수록, 사슬이동제의 함량이 감소할수록 증가하였다.

포소화약제의 어류급성독성 시험을 통한 환경독성 검증 (The Verify of Environmental Toxicity of Foam Extinguishing Agents by Fish-Acute Toxicity Test)

  • There are various studies on the fire suppression process but the study on second pollution from fire products is not enough yet. Therefor, in this study verify that environmentally-friendly properties($LC_{50}$) of foam extinguishing agent with increases its amount used through with Fish-Acute Toxicity Test using a fish named Misgurnus anguillicaudatus that is appointed by OECD Test Guideline. In conclusion, proven that environmentally friendly properties of the agent of hoseo university through 16 times of LC50 than that of market.

  • An experimental study is conducted to charaterize the mechanical properties of a fiber-reinforced, lightweight concrete (FRLAC) that is produced without an autoclave process. The FRLAC enhances the strength of lightweight cellular concrete by adding polypropylene fibers. A series of compressive strength tests on cylindrical specimens are carried out to characterize the compressive strength and the modulus of elasticity of the FRLAC. Specifically, various mixing rates of a foam agent are applied in casting of the specimens to investigate the influence of the mixing rate of the foam agent on the performance of the FRLAC and to determine the optimal mixing rate of the foam agent.

반응온도와 발포제 함량에 따른 폴리우레탄 발포특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Foaming Characteristics of Polyurethane Depending On Environmental Temperature and Blowing Agent Content)

  • Polyurethane has been one of the most important materials for automobile elastic parts such as bumper, head rest, instrument panel and so on since it covers very wide range of mechanical characteristics with low production costs. The processing variables such as formulation of ingredients and mold temperature, mixing speed, etc. can affect the quality of produced polyurethane foams so that process conditions should be determined appropriately. In this study, foaming behaviors of semi-rigid polyurethane were investigated by conducting cup foam tests with two major processing variables such as environmental temperature and blowing agent content. In addition, it was verified that processing conditions of real practice can be determined effectively by considering foaming characteristics obtained by the cup foam tests.
