The purpose of this study was to confirm the effects of flush-out in the reduction of formaldehyde concentration in newly built residential buildings. The field measurements were conducted on two complexes of multi-residential buildings which are located in the suburban area of Seoul. About eight samples of residential buildings were selected to measure the changes in formaldehyde concentrations after flush-out from the two apartment complexes. The concentration of formaldehyde was measured using DNPH cartridge and HPLC. From the results of the field measurements, it was established that indoor formaldehyde concentration decreases 27.6~54.2% in the samples after flush-out. The number of days that the flush-out were conducted was noted to have no significant influence on the reduction rate of formaldehyde concentration when the flush-out continued more than 7 days. The comparison with Bake-out showed that flush-out also can reduce formaldehyde in newly built buildings as same levels of it.
Purpose : To identify factors related to the severity and frequency of hot flush of postmenopausal women who participated in a clinical trial. Methods : A cross-section study of 34 postmenopausal women between 40 and 60 years of age was done. VAS(visual analog scale) was used to evaluate the hot flush degree. Statistical analysis was performed with multiple linear regression analysis. Results : Hot flush VAS was proportional to the percent body fat with 1.467 regression coefficient (p-value= 0.010). It implies that the symptom of hot flush becomes worse as the percent body fat increases. Some hormones also have effects on hot flush. We found that LH might cause increment of hot flush VAS(i.e., the corresponding regression coefficient is 0.912). Sasang constitution was not relevant to the hot flush degree. Hot flush VAS seemed to increase as the vascular aging degree by SA-2000 getting worse, but it was not statistically significant (p-value= 0.594). Conclusion : This study is a part of a prospective clinical trial. For more accurate result, larger-scale cross-section study or clinical trial are necessary.

A flush air data sensing system, which can predict flight speed, angle of attack, and angle of sideslip of the aircraft is designed and manufactured for a small UAV. Two kinds of flush pressure ports, four ports and five ports, are tapped at the same section of fuselage nose-cone. Calibration pressure data at flush ports are obtained through computations for the total aircraft by using Fluent code. Angle of attack, angle of sideslip, total pressure, and static pressure are represented with 4th-order polynomial function and calibration coefficient matrix is obtained using least square method with calibration pressure data. Flight test showed that flight speed, angle of attack, and sideslip angle predicted by four flush ports and five flush ports compared well with those by five-hole probe installed for data comparison. Especially four flush ports revealed nearly same results as those by five flush ports.

Purpose: This study was performed to observe the correlation between Hot flush and pulse wave velocity(PWV), ankle brachial index(ABI) in the Climacteric women. Methods: We studied 63 climacteric women visiting OO hospital from 8th January 2007 to 22nd April 2009. The subjects were categorized in two groups, the hot flush group(37) and normal group(26). For the study, the subjects were selected by excluding the patients who receive treatment affect hot flush or have disease affect arterial states. We assessed PWV and ABI of two groups by Oscillometric method using VS-1000(Form PWV/ABI; Fukuda Denshi, Co., Ltd., Japan). From these results, we studied the correlation between hot flush and PWV/ABI by Wilcoxon Mann Whitney Test. Results: 1. It is shown that hot flush group was no significant correlation with normal group. There is no significant factor among R-PWV, L-PWV, R-ABI, L-ABI. However, L-ABI have shown relatively higher correlation with comparison to the other factors.(p-value<0.05) 2. R-PWV, L-PWV significantly increased in menopause group than in premenopause group though there is no relation to the hot flush. (p-value<0.01) Conclusion: Though the results showed no correlations between Hot flush and PWV/ABI in the Climacteric women, L-ABI showed relatively higher correlation with hot flush than others. R-PWV, L-PWV showed significant correlation between premenopause and menopause.
Lake Sihwa has a very unique watershed environment, surrounded by industrial, urban and rural catchment area with different land use. The first flush phenomenon was investigated in 3 catchment area. 4TG, representing the industrial area, shows rapid discharges of highly concentrated pollutants during the early stages of a storm and it is indicating a strong first flush effect. At AS, representing the urban area, the pollutant concentration reached its peak approximately 2~3 hours after the start of storm, which is a strong first flush effect did not appear. JJB and MS represent the rural areas, the PEMC analysis results suggest that highly concentrated pollutants were discharged during the middle and latter stages of a storm, instead of early pollutant runoff due to the effects of rainwater runoff.
Objectives: We intended to identify factors related to the severity of hot flush of climacteric women from an East-West medical point of view. Methods: We surveyed 446 climacteric women who had received Korean oriental medical questionnaires about clinical symptom patterns and health medical examinations at Kyung-Hee University Medical Center over 1 year, from June 2007 to May 2008. Then, we compared hot flush with clinical symptom pattern and health medical examination result. Results: As the severity of hot flush increased, hypnagogic disorder in sleep pattern, abdominal gaseous distention in digestion pattern, tenesmus in evacuation pattern, yellow or reddish urine in voiding pattern, spontaneous sweating in sweating pattern, chest oppression in psychologic pattern, not-pulling-bedclothes in cold-heat pattern and mouth dryness in craniocervical symptom increased (p<0.05). In relation to digestion pattern, the severity of hot flush showed statistical significance according to prevalence of gastritis diagnosed by gastroscopy and upper GI series(p<0.01). In relation to voiding pattern, the severity of hot flush showed statistical significance according to prevalence of urine protein diagnosed by urinalysis (p<0.05). In relation to sweating, psychologic & cold-heat pattern, triiodothyronine (T3) increase and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) decrease were significantly correlated as the severity of hot flush increased (p<0.01). Conclusions: The result showed that hot flush of climacteric women had to be considered in respect of digestion disorder related to gastritis and sweating psychologic cold-heat disorder related to thyroid hormone.

FLUSH+RELOAD attack exposes the most serious security threat among cache side channel attacks due to its high resolution and low noise. This attack is exploited by a variety of malicious programs that attempt to leak sensitive information. In order to prevent such information leakage, it is necessary to detect FLUSH+RELOAD attack in real time. In this paper, we propose a novel run-time detection technique for FLUSH+RELOAD attack by utilizing PCM (Performance Counter Monitor) of processors. For this, we conducted four kinds of experiments to observe the variation of each counter value of PCM during the execution of the attack. As a result, we found that it is possible to detect the attack by exploiting three kinds of important factors. Then, we constructed a detection algorithm based on the experimental results. Our algorithm utilizes machine learning techniques including a logistic regression and ANN(Artificial Neural Network) to learn from different execution environments. Evaluation shows that the algorithm successfully detects all kinds of attacks with relatively low false rate.

Since the server system in the cloud environments can simultaneously operate multiple OS and commonly share the memory space between users, an adversary can recover some secret information using cache side-channel attacks. In this paper, the Flush+Reload attack, a kind of cache side-channel attacks, is applied to the optimized precomputation table implementation of Korea block cipher standard ARIA. As an experimental result of attack on ARIA-128 implemented in Ubuntu environment, we show that the adversary can extract the 16 bytes last round key through Flush+Reload attack. Furthermore, the master key of ARIA can be revealed from last and first round key used in an encryption processing.
Objectives : Middle aged women with depression often experience hot flush symptoms. It is still unclear about the association between depression and hot flush symptoms. Therefore, we investigated hormonal profile, functional somatic symptoms, coping styles and attitude for menopause between depressed women with hot flush and those without hot flush. Methods : This study included 33 depressed patients with hot flush symptoms and 33 depressed patients without hot flush symptoms. Hot flush was confirmed through prospective daily symptom ratings for a week. Subjects' coping styles were assessed by the stress coping checklist. Somatic symptoms were assessed by the Patient Health Questionnaire-15(PHQ-15). Sex hormonal levels were assayed by a radioimmunoassay. The Brief World Health Organization Quality of Life Assessment Instrument(WHOQOL-BREF) was used to evaluate quality of life. Results : In coping style, depressed women with hot flush symptoms used less 'problem-centered coping'($13.15{\pm}3.17$) and 'search for social support'($11.83{\pm}2.84$) than those without hot flush symptoms($15.17{\pm}3.1$, p=0.028 ; $14.25{\pm}3.22$, p=0.009 ; respectively). Depressed women with hot flush symptoms showed more negative attitude toward post-menopause, but its statistical significance was marginally insufficient(p=0.059). We did not find any group differences in sex hormonal levels and somatic complaints assessed by the PHQ-15. The score of social relationship domain of WHOQOL-BREF was significantly lower in subjects with hot flush symptoms($8.62{\pm}2.04$) than subjects without hot flush symptoms($9.71{\pm}1.65$ ; p=0.044). Conclusions : Among middle aged women with depression, the manifestation of hot flush symptoms was associated with coping styles and attitude for menopausal transition. Hot flush symptoms in depressed women negatively influence quality of life, so clinicians actively perform therapeutic approach in case of depressed patients with hot flush symptoms. In case of depressed patients who present hot flushes, cognitive behavior therapy or stress management might be an effective treatment option in company with antidepressants or hormonal treatment. Later, longitudinal study will be needed to evaluate risk factor, cause and effect associated with hot flush and depression.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the contrast effect if a saline flush following low-volume contrast medium bolus improves vascular and parenchymal enhancement using a saphenous vein in abdominal CT for small animals. Six clinically healthy beagle dogs underwent abdominal contrast-enhanced CT. They were divided into nine groups (each group, n = 6), according to the volume of contrast medium 1, 2, and 3 mL/kg, and volume of the saline solution 0, 5, and 10 mL. Dynamic CT scanning was performed at the hepatic hilum level. The maximum contrast enhancement, time to maximum enhancement, and time to equilibrium phase were calculated from the time attenuation curves. Mean attenuation values for all groups were measured in the aorta, portal vein, and liver. After contrast enhancement, grading of image quality regarding surrounding artifacts and evaluation of the hepatic hilum structures was performed. For comparison of the effect of the contrast material and saline solution doses, differences in mean attenuation values between the contrast medium 2 mL/kg without saline flush group and the remaining groups, and between contrast medium 3 mL/kg without saline flush group and the remaining groups, were analyzed for statistical significance. There were no significant differences between with and without saline flushing at the same contrast medium dose groups. There were no significant differences in peak values between the 3 mL/kg dose of contrast medium alone and the 2 mL/kg dose of contrast medium with saline solution flush. However, there was a significant difference in peak values between the 3 mL/kg dose of the contrast medium without the saline flush group and the 2 mL/kg dose of the contrast medium alone group. Grades of the artifacts were not significantly different in the saline flush regardless of the dose of the contrast medium. Using 2 mL/kg of contrast medium with saline solution flush resulted in similar liver parenchyma attenuation, compared with using 3 mL/kg of contrast medium without saline solution flush. In CT evaluation of hepatic parenchymal diseases, using 2 mL/kg of contrast medium with saline solution flush may yield decreased risk of contrast nephropathy and cost-saving.
