F-free Y & Cu 전구용액 적용에 의한 YBCO coated conductors의 MOD 공정 개선 (Improvement of MOD Processing by Applying F-free Y & Cu Precursor Solution)

  • Total Fluorine content in the precursor solution for MOD processing of YBCO coated conductors can be significantly reduced by synthesizing precursor solution with F-free Y & Cu precursor and Barium trifluoroacetate(TFA). It was shown that crack-free and uniform precursor films were formed after calcinations in humidified oxygen atmosphere. Less than 2 hours are required to finish the calcination process, and XRD measurement shows that $BaF_2,\;CuO,\;and\;Y_2O_3$ are major constituent of calcined precursor films. Film thickness after calcination was measured to be ${\sim}2.8$ um by applying slot-die coating method. In particular, addition of Samarium shows critical current of Ic=226 A/cm-w($Jc=3.4\;MA/cm^2$). Also discussed are recent developments in the reel-to-reel processing using F-free Y & Cu precursor solutions. It is shown that uniform and fast processing route to YBCO coated conductor with high Ic can be provided by employing F-free Y & Cu precursor solutions in MOD process.

  • 각기 다른 온도에서 불소화 표면처리에 의한 실리카의 표면특성을 X-선 광전 분광법 그리고 접촉각을 통해 관찰하였으며, 복합재료의 기계적 계면물성과 열안정성에 미치는 영향은 인열 에너지와 분해 활성화 에너지를 통해 고찰하였다. 실리카 표면 자유 에너지의 London 비극성 요소와 불소작용기는 불소화 처리 온도에 따라 증가하였으며, 결과적으로 실리카/폴리우레탄 복합재료의 인열 에너지를 향상시켰다. 또한 복합재료의 열안정성은 불소화 함량에 따라 증가하였다. 이러한 결과는 실리카 표면에 도입된 불소작용기가 본 실험의 복합재료 시스템 내에서 실리카와 폴리우레탄 계면 사이의 분자간 상호작용을 향상시키는 주요한 인자로 작용한 것으로 사료된다.

[18F]Aryl fluorides from hypervalent iodine compounds

  • Nucleophilic aromatic fluorination has been one of the most explored methods in fluorin-18 based radiochemistry. Unlike electrophilic $[^{18}F]$fluorination methods, no-carrier-added nucleophilic radiofluorination with cyclotron-produced $[^{18}F]$fluoride ion offers better specific radioactivity which is essential aspect to obtain good quality images from positron emission tomography. Contrary to amenable aliphatic radiofluorination, the development of reliable aromatic $[^{18}F]$fluorination methods has been pursued by many research groups; however, no viable method has yet been established. Recently, hypervalent iodine compound draws increasing attention as versatile radiolabeling precursor for various $[^{18}F]$fluoroarenes, since it bears the capacity to introduce fluorine-18 either on electron-deficient or electron-rich aryl ring with enhanced regiospecificity. Other classes of hypervalent iodine congeners often utilized in radiochemistry are iodylarenes, iodonium ylides, and spirocyclic iodonium ylides. Recently developed spirocyclic iodonium ylides have already been avidly employed to provide various $[^{18}F]$aryl fluorides with high labeling efficiency. This metal-free protocol would afford efficient routes, replacing the traditional approaches to $[^{18}F]$fluoroarenes, from prosthetic labeling synthons to complex PET radiotracers.

MOD 공정에 의해 제조된 YBCO 박막의 압력 의존성 (Total pressure dependence of YBCO films in MOD method)

  • The growth properties of MOD-YBCO films were investigated. To enhance the growth rate of YBCO layer and inhibit the build-up of HF gas during the annealing process in TFA-MOD for YBCO coated conductors the method of low pressure annealing was employed. Total pressure was changed from 700Torr to 1Torr and its effect on growth of YBCO films was compared with atmospheric one. The lower Pressure was effective to control of the pore size in MOD method . Surface morphology of YBCO films processed at low total pres sure was rough and composed of random YBCO (103) grains. But large pores, usually observed at atmospheric process in MOD disappeared and also the number of pores was reduced at low pressure annealing. Also discussed ate the effects of Fluorine-free Y and Cu precursor solution on the development of microstructure. Dense surface me phology and with less and small pores can be provided through controlling Fluorine content.

Fluorine-Free Imidazolium-Based Ionic Liquids with a Phosphorous-Containing Anion as Potential CO2 Absorbents

  • Solubilities of carbon dioxide (C$O_2$) in a series of fluorine-free room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs), dialkylimidazolium dialkylphosphates and dialkylimidazolium alkylphosphites, were measured at 313∼333 K and pressures up to 5 MPa. Henry’s law coefficients as the solubility parameter of C$O_2$ in RTILs were derived from the isotherm of fugacity versus C$O_2$ mole fraction. The C$O_2$ solubility in a phosphorus-containing RTIL was found to increase with the increasing molar volume of the RTIL. In general, dialkylimidazolium dialkylphosphate exhibited higher absorption capacity than dialkylimidazolium alkylphosphite as long as the RTILs possess an identical cation. Among RTILs tested, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium dibutylphosphate [BMIM][B$u_2PO_4$] and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium butylphosphite [BMIM][BuHP$O_3$] exhibited similar Henry’s law coefficients to 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bis (trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ([BMIM][T$f_2$N]) and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([BMIM][B$F_4$]), respectively. The Krichevsky-Kasarnovsky equation was employed to derive the C$O_2$ solubility parameter (Henry’s law coefficient) from the solubility data measured at elevated pressures.

불소처리된 카본블랙을 충전한 HDPE 기지 컴파운드의 PTC/NTC 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on PTC/NTC Behavior of Fluorinated Carbon Black-filled HDPE Matrix Compounds)

  • 본 연구에서는 PTC 소자의 NTC 현상을 제거하기 위하여 카본블랙을 0.1-0.4 MPa의 압력으로 불소처리 한 후 이를 이용하여 카본블랙/HDPE 전도성 컴파운드를 제조하였다. 불소처리한 카본블랙의 표면특성 변화는 FT-IR, XPS 그리고 접촉각 측정을 통하여 확인하였다. FT-IR실험 결과, 불소처리된 카본블랙은 1400-1000 cm$^{-1}$ 영역에서 C-F 피크를 나타내며 처리압력이 증가할수록 C-F 피크의 세기가 증가함을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, XPS 분석을 통해 불소처리 압력이 증가할수록 카본블랙 내의 불소의 함량이 증가함을 확인하였다. 그러나, 불소처리된 카본블랙의 표면자유에너지는 처리압력이 증가할수록 감소하였다. 결과로서, 카본블랙의 불소 처리를 통해 카본블랙/HDPE 컴파운드의 NTC 현상이 사라졌는데, 이는 카본블랙의 표면자유에너지 감소가 수지의 융점 이후 일어나는 카본블랙 입자간의 재결합을 방해하기 때문이라 사료된다.

Long Length YBCO Coated Conductors Prepared by an MOD Process on Buffered Metallic Tapes

  • YBCO coated conductors have been fabricated by the reel-to-reel processing using TFA-MOD method. In this work, the fluorine-free Y & Cu precursor solution was synthesized to shorten the calcining time by reducing the evolution of HF gas, thus the meter-long YBCO precursor films can be made within few hours by the continuous slot-die coating & calcination step using the F-free Y & Cu precursor solution. The annealing step was followed to make the YBCO films by the reel-to-reel method with the vertical gas flow system onto the moving tape. To increase the growth rate of the YBCO films by enhancing the removal of HF gas, the low total pressure was adopted in the annealing processing. And the water partial pressure and the oxygen partial pressure were varied to optimize the growth conditions of the MOD-YBCO films on the buffered metal tape. FE-SEM and XRD were used to investigate the surface morphologies and the texture of the meter-long YBCO films. The end-to-end critical current $(I_c)$ of 63A/cm-width and the critical current density $(J_c)$of $0.9MA/cm^2$ with the thickness of $0.7{\mu}m$ were obtained in the 0.42m long coated conductor.

역삼투 분리막의 표면개질을 이용한 내염소성 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Chlorine Resistance Improvement of Reverse Osmosis Membrane by Surface Modification)

  • 본 연구에서는 polyamide계 방향족 역삼투막이 염소 라디칼에 의해 polyamide 결합이 분해되어 염배제율이 급격히 감소되는 반면 수투과도는 증가되는 것을 확인하였다 이러한 polyamide 역삼투막의 염소에 대한 저항성을 향상시키기 위해서 불소기 함유 실란커플링제(fluorine-containing silane coupling agent, FSCA)를 이용하여 역삼투막 표면 개질 후 막에 대한 표면 특성 및 내염소성 변화를 관찰하였다. 그 결과 FSCA의 농도가 증가될수록 막 표면이 dense하게 도포되었으며, 원소분석을 통해 FSCA가 부착되어 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 개질한 막 표면 조도는 감소되고 표면의 소수성이 증가됨을 접촉각의 증가로 확인 할 수 있었다. 이 결과를 종합하여 볼 때, 역삼투막을 FSCA로 표면개질 함으로써 개질막의 염소에 대한 저항성을 향상시킬 수 있었다.
