From the results of an examination of the transition process of the site plan divided into 5 stages based on literature and materials relating to the Sangju Confucian School as well as the construction history, we can see the general transition flow as follows. The arrangement form of Sangju Confucian School shows the structures with both the sacrificial rites function and the learning function in the early period. This shows a large general flow where the form with the learning function structure at the front and sacrificial rites function structure at the back changed to a form where the learning function structure was positioned behind the boarding facilities, after which there was a transformation which left only the learning function (the form where the learning function structure was positioned in front of the boarding facilities). The type where the learning function structure is positioned in front of the boarding facilities is hard to find in the Yeongnam area, also, there are not many examples of the 2 story Myeonglyundang (hall of confucianism teachings) throughout the country Sangju Confucian School which possess the value of rarity is appraised as being a precious material showing another area characteristic in Sangju of the Yeongnam area. Also, during the late Chosun period the scale of the Dongseojae (boarding facility) was reduced and the appearance of Yangsajae can be said to be a typical example of confucian school constructions of late Chosun era.

For a long time, popular songs have been our source of happiness. They go along with the flow of the generation, allowing them to acquire a significant meaning. Popular songs thus reflect the contemporary society. However, in the study of popular song archives, there has been an interest only in the information of the songs sung by a singer, the type of songs, and the type of singers. Thus, existing popular song archives were not able to reflect the characteristics of the society of the generation when the songs were popular. Therefore, this paper searched for ways by which to archive not only popular songs but also the characteristics of the society during the time when these songs were famous, and suggested a story collection through the methods. These stories reflect the lives of the people and the characteristics of the society during the periods when the songs were popular. Furthermore, these stories go beyond popular songs, making it possible for us to look dimensionally on the society we are affiliated in.

The story is formed by the flow of the development and resolution of the conflict between the characters. Namely, the story consists of conflict setting, development, and resolution. Character region is an important expression technique to describe the emotions or states of characters and the relationship between characters and the environment. The purpose of this paper is to propose a method for detecting the transition of conflict from the graph of character region's change. To this end, we present a method of generating a change graph of a character region in a movie by calculating the character region and a method of detecting a conflict transition scene from a graph of character region's change. To verify the performance of the proposed method, an experiment was conducted to extract conflict transition scenes for 7 movies, and performance evaluation results of 73.57% accuracy and 77.26% recall were obtained. This proves that it is possible to extract conflict transition scenes based on the character region.

This study purposes to explore the narrative of fictional events complicated by a specific narrator, taking notice of his/her role as an internal focalizer as well as an external participant. In William Faulkner's "A Rose for Emily," the story of an eccentric spinster, Emily Grierson, is focalized and narrated by a townsperson, apparently an individual, but one who always speaks as 'we.' This tale-teller, as a first-hand witness of the events in the story, details the strange circumstances of Emily's life and her odd relationships with her father, her lover, the community, and even the horrible secret hidden to the climactic moment at the end. The narrative 'we' has surely watched Emily for many years with a considerable interest but also with a respectful distance. Being left unidentified on purpose, this narrative agent, in spite of his/her vagueness, definitely knows more than others do and acts undoubtedly as a pivotal role in this tale of grotesque love. Seamlessly juxtaposing the present and the past, the collective 'we' suggests an important subject that the distinction between the past and the present is blurred out for Emily, for whom the indiscernibleness of time flow proves to be her hamartia. The focalizer-narrator describes Miss Emily in the same manner as he/she describes the South whose old ways have passed on by time. Like the Old South, Emily is desperately trapped in the past, since she has not been able to adjust to the changes brought on by time. In the end, the tragic story of Emily Grierson which takes place in Jefferson plainly seems to serve as an introduction to mature Faulkner.

The purpose of this study is to examine the meaningfulness and the possibility of developing kinetic narrative educational contents based on English literature with convergent approaches. To accomplish the objective, this paper examines three areas of research such as kinetic education, English literature education, and total physical response-storytelling method. It introduces the following three stages of development procedure: 1) selecting and analyzing English literature, 2) designing a prototype including the story flow, the movement and the motion interaction design, and 3) constructing motion database using Laban movement analysis. Then, how to apply it to young learners is illustrated with 'the story of the three little pigs,' Finally, implication for the field of young learner English education and English literature is discussed.

The illustrations of picture book for children transmit not only one image but also the summary and contents of the picture book by connecting images harmoniously. The images of picture book give children a variety of emotion and impression depending upon the location of image at various factors such as blank and form, texture and colors, and space feeling, etc. Therefore, the picture book for children has the continuity transmitting the flow of images by not only the contents of natural story but also uniform and rhythmical factors. The continuity of images can transmit images by visual ideas that are produced depending upon the connections of pictures between writings and picture, between images, and inside images. In such a way, children can understand the contents of story. The paper examines the continuity of the images of the picture book for children and describes correct expressions on harmonious connections of the images made based on children's individuality and ingenuity.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the expressive effects of Queen Elizabeth I's robes in cinema and also to present two examples of Queen Elizabeth I's robes designed and made based on these expressive effects. To this end, this study wilt first examine Queen Elizabeth I's robes in her portraits according to the visual definers and emblematic meanings. Then on the basis of these knowledges, analyze visual definers and viewing priorities of Queen Elizabeth I's robes in five movies. Thereinafter, these robes will be classified based upon Belong(1998)'s four expressive effects. excitement. calmness, strength and delicacy. Finally, this study will demonstrate calmness and delicacy among four expressive effects through two robes made for the purpose. After analyzing the expressive effects of robes in five Queen Elizabeth I's movies, one can conclude excitement. calmness, strength, and delicacy can be found according to the flow of the story. Since this analysis focuses mainly on one particular person during one Particular period of time, there was a fundamental silhouette prevalent among the Queen's robes which then can be classified into different forms. Moreover, Queen's character in itself embodies authority and grace which. in turn, facilitates the presentation of the four expressive effects along the story line. In conclusion, thorough historical research on the character and the period. in addition to analysis of the visual definer and viewing priorities, is imperative when designing a historical costume.

This paper analyzed the narrative construction of ‘World of Warcraft’ which is very popular worldwide. Narratology and ludology should be interrelated in the larger area of art, rather than existing as separate fields. Dramatic narrative constructions of game would be made when the rules of game emerge with the circumstances of play. This paper reviews how 'World of Warcraft' generates its tremendous popularity through analyzing the overall narratives of 'World of Warcraft' and sub-narratives such as quest, PvP and hunting systems. The distinctive feature of this game is its well-designed story flow which is emerged by both underlying linear original story and non-linear multi-scenario that offers rich interactivities to the game users.

This study proposes a method of generating steel house shop drawing in an automated design method, reducing construction manpower and period. With one hour fire-resistant approval code, reflecting work ability and efficiency, steel-framed house market is expected to extend from one or two story house to multi-purpose facilities up to four story height. More models have been constructed in this system than the first appearance of fire-resistant approval in Korea in 1997. Also, cost estimation of components such as frame walls, roof trusses and floors is obtained with shop drawings. Also, the lack of suppliers of steel framed house shop drawing and unstandardized drawing method get constructors have difficulty in understanding its design. In steel framed house industry, shop drawings are essential part in building and constructing framework and they have major effects on construction deadlines and expenses. By exploring method of shop drawing automation, this study aims to optimize work flow with a standardized drawing method. The proposed system can be applied to manufacturing automation in domestic industry of factory-built panelizing method in the near future.

The present work was performed to axially and radially investigate the local cold storage performance in the cylindrical tank with the spherical capsules inserted n-Tetradecane as a new cold storage material. The local cold storage performance of the capsules in the tank was experimentally investigated for the inlet temperature of -7, -5, -3, 0.deg. C, for the flow rate of 0.95, 1.89, 2.84, 6.00 l/min, and for the diameter ratio of 4.9, 9.0, 13.1. The local cold storage performance in the case of using water applied for the commercial ice-ball system was axially investigated by changing the flow rate only with the inlet temperature of -7.deg. C and the diameter ratio of 9.0 in order to compare with the performance in the case of using n-Tetradecane. For the case of using n-Tetradecane, the difference of cold storage period between the first and the seventh story was increased as the inlet temperature was increased and the flow rate was decreased. The capsules at the center of the tank showed the supercooling and the increased cold storage period compared with the capsules at the wall of the tank due to the small porosity and insufficient cold storage performance at the center of the tank as the diameter ratio is increased. The case using water showed worse cold storage performance due to comparatively large supercooling than the case using n-Tetradecane.
