In order to make the way to determine the instream flow more practically, we have investigated many case studies and reviewed reports and papers. To validate instream flow level suggested by the case studies, DAWAST and HEC-RAS model were applied to the Gap-stream watershed in Daejeon city. Flow-duration analysis was performed both with the stream flow data gauged in the Indong, Boksu, and Hoeduck stations, and with the stream flow data estimated by the DAWAST model and the specific discharge method. Instream flow was determined among the flow-duration analysis, DAWAST, HEC-RAS model and mass balance approach. It was satisfied with various factors such as target water quality, water depth for eco-system and resorts, water surface width, flow velocity for landscape in dry season. The study suggested that the mean low flow could be replaced into the instream flow for the preliminary study because the instream flow considering ecosystem, landscape, water-friendly environment and water quality was generally close to the mean low flow.
When we use the circular pipes for wastewater and storm water, we should be known the characteristics of the flow for accurate design. To elevate the design accuracy, we want to know the profile of flow. The roughness coefficient in the Manning equation is constant, but in actuality changed with the relative depth in circular pipe. This study was conducted to calculate the relative normal depth in changing the roughness coefficient (named relative roughness coefficient) with the relative depth in the analysis of gradually varied flow in the circular pipe by Newton-Raphson method. We performed the analysis of gradually varied flow using the relative normal depth and the relative roughness coefficient. We presented the 12 flow profiles with the relative depth and the relative roughness coefficient in circular pipe. The flow classification considering relative depth in circular pipe is available to analyse gradually varied flow profiles.
The Sirocco fan performance and its three-dimensional flow characteristics were numerically predicted by STAR-CD software. Turbulent flow computations were performed using approximately 500,000 mesh points, and the performance results of two computational methods, transient analysis and quasi-static analysis were compared with experimental data. At present, our attention was focused on localizing the three-dimensional flow characteristics of the Sirocco fin, especially the structure of the secondary flow in the scroll and the through-flow characteristics of the Sirocco fan blades. Also, for an optimization, the scroll passage was tilted with 10 degrees to change the flow characteristics and improve the performance of the Sirocco fan.
Steady flow bench test is a practical, powerful and widely used in most engine manufacturers to give a design concept of a new engine. In order to use steady data as a performance index, it is necessary to build some database, which can correlate the port characteristics with engine data. However, it is very difficult to investigate all port shapes with experimental tools. The steady flow scheme is relatively simple and its results are bulk ones such as flow rate and momentum of flow. Therefore a CFD code can be easily applied to the port evaluation. In this study, the steady flow test was simulated through three-dimensional analysis on intake port design for comparing with experimental data and confirming the feasibility of applying analytic method . for this purpose, the effect of valve curvature on flow rate was estimated by a CFD code. Numerical results were compared with those of real steady flow tests. As a result, the results of 3-D analysis were almost consistent with experimental data.
The computational flow analysis using LES technique was introduced to investigate the flow field improvement of an indoor RAC chassis consisting of a rear-guider, a stabilizer and a cross-flow fan. This unsteady three-dimensional numerical analysis was carried out by the commercial SC/Tetra software. The edge blocks were adopted in this study as a tool for the flow field improvement of an indoor RAC. In view of the results so far achieved, the edge blocks cause the center of an eccentric vortex to be stable along all length of a cross-flow fan, and then, the static pressure and the velocity vector show a stable distributions. In consequence, because the edge blocks eliminate a reverse flow near the edges, an exhausting flow becomes to be stable and uniform.
In this study, sub domain of flow was investigated on literature survey, and suggested of the measuring method of web-site flow and its simulation analysis. Constructing of measuring method of flow, and using this method what-if analysis was simulated when several condition changed. Using causal map approach to extract knowledge from web-site domain experts and to derives a causal relationship of knowledge. Specially, in our study, describes method of developing and building causal map, and suggests guide line of this method on practical application. This research results show that web-site flow starts "direct searching" or "interesting of special issue(domain)", and when challenges of web-site were accorded with user's skills web-site flow grows. Further, in the web-site, information searching intention results in increase of user's duration time and experience flow to discovery new interesting issues in this process. If user's web-site of interaction is increased, awareness of environment conditions decreased, finally, user's telepresense results in increased web-site flow. This paper contained thai this method make used of measuring flow in the web-site and developing of practical strategy.
The objectives of the present study are to numerically and experimentally investigate the steady and pulsatile flow phenomena in the circular tubes, to quantitatively compare the flow characteristics of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, and to find meaningful hemodynamic information through the flow analysis in the human blood vessels. The particle image velocimetry is adopted to visualize the flow fields in the circular tube. and the results from the particle image velocimetry are used to validate the results of the numerical analysis. In order to investigate the blood flow phenomena in the circular tube. constitutive equations, which are suitable to describe the rheological properties of the non-Newtonian fluids. are determined, and the steady and pulsatile momentum equations are solved by the finite volume prediction. The velocity vectors of the steady and pulsatile flow in the circular tube obtained by the particle image velocimetry arc in good agreement with those by the numerical analysis. For the given mass flow rate. the axial velocity profiles of the Newtonian and the non-Newtonian fluids appear differently. The pulsatile flow phenomena of the Newtonian and the non-Newtonian fluids are quite different from those of the steady flow.

A simple model of the tip leakage flow models of the rotor downstream flow is developed, based on Lakshminarayana's theoretical concept on the tip clearance flow and the experimental data published in open literature. And new spanwise distribution models of deviation angle and pressure loss coefficient due to the tip leakage flow are formulated for use in association with the streamline curvature method as a through flow analysis. Combining these new models and previous deviation and loss models due to secondary flow, a robust streamline curvature method is established for flow analysis of single-stage, subsonic axial turbines with wide ranges of turning angle, aspect ratio and blading type. At the exit from rotor rows, the flow variables are mixed radially according to a spanwise transport equation. The proposed streamline curvature method is tested against a forced vortex type turbine as well as a free vortex type one. The results show that the spanwise variations of flow angle, axial velocity and loss coefficients at rotor exit are predicted with good accuracy, being comparable to a steady three-dimensional Navier-Stokes analysis. This simple and fast flow analysis is found to be very useful for the turbine design at the initial design phase.
VaRI(Vacuum assisted Resin Infusion) 공정은 공정비용이 저렴하며, 크기가 큰 복합재 제작에 적합한 OoA(Out of Autoclave) 공정이다.
