ANALYSIS OF THE FLOOR PLAN DATASET WITH YOLO V5

  • This paper introduces the industrial problem, the solution, and the results of the research conducted with Define Inc. The client company wanted to improve the performance of an object detection model on the floor plan dataset. To solve the problem, we analyzed the operational principles, advantages, and disadvantages of the existing object detection model, identified the characteristics of the floor plan dataset, and proposed to use of YOLO v5 as an appropriate object detection model for training the dataset. We compared the performance of the existing model and the proposed model using mAP@60, and verified the object detection results with real test data, and found that the performance increase of mAP@60 was 0.08 higher with a 25% shorter inference time. We also found that the training time of the proposed YOLO v5 was 71% shorter than the existing model because it has a simpler structure. In this paper, we have shown that the object detection model for the floor plan dataset can achieve better performance while reducing the training time. We expect that it will be useful for solving other industrial problems related to object detection in the future. We also believe that this result can be extended to study object recognition in 3D floor plan dataset.

군산 근대 민간 건축의 배치 및 평면 유형 특징에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of a Plot Plan and a Floor Plan of Modern Private Housing Architecture in Gunsan)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the building layout and plan types according to the urban location, use and function of civil and to analyze the characteristics by the type classified. After constructing a framework (Mathia type, Nagaya type, Detached House type) for analyzing Modern Private Housing Architecture in Gunsan, the research was conducted on 30 representative buildings, and a plot plan, a floor plan and elevation were created. After analyzing the relationship between the lot of land and the urban street, we classified the type of arrangement into Mathia type and Nagaya type which directly enter the building from the road, and derived the Detached House type which indirectly enters from the road. When we look at the use of the derived arrangement types, most of the Mathia type are commercial and residential buildings, and some of them are specially designed for commercial buildings. The Nagaya type appears in the form of commercial and residential house or residential private house, and the Detached House type is classified as residential style. As a relation with the urban street, the Mathia type and the Nagaya type are generally located on the main urban street, whereas the Detached House type is located on the small urban street. As a result of analyzing, the floor plan was changed according to the plot plan. The plan of the Mathia and Nagaya type are arranged to enter directly from the street, with commercial space being mainly located on the street, and the residential space being composed on the back or the second floor. the plan of the Detached House is a type that enters indirectly into the interior through a separate space (Courtyard), and forms an organic space between the residential interior and the front and rear yard. The purpose of this study is to investigate the Characteristics of a plot plan and a floor plan of Modern Private Housing Architecture in Gunsan by means of analysis considering the urban street, Uses of buildings, Construction method and the yard through actual measurement.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a practical guide for optimum residential and useful architectural condition in a regional area. The data has been collected through survey from exist Housing of a Go-sung Gun Toa-Sung Mun area. Those 21 Housing samples are collected, and are analyzed by standard Architectural codes, country Architectural codes and regulations This study has been processed in analysis of the unit planning and codes condition of each housings, and situation analysis through the practical investing. As a results of this study, the Housing floor plan in rural area should reflect user's needs and functional unit plan. Especially, the unit planning have a good residental environments. An instance, laundry and balcony space. These result will become basic data for the future architectural design in the Housing floor plan in rural area.

공간구문론 분석에 의한 아파트 주동형식별 공간배치 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Spatial Configuration Characteristics of the Apartment Building Type based on the Space Syntax Analysis)

  • This paper deals with the spatial configuration of the unit floor plan based on the apartment building type. It is generally agreed that various apartment building types were organized by diverse apartment unit floor plan. The reason behind this diversity, apartment unit plan are affected by the environmental condition and the diverse spatial composition of the unit floor plan. Apartment building types were classified by the similarity of the justified-graph type. This types classified into two category; One core type which were classified by the shape of the core, and multiple core type which were compounded by more than two core. These categories divided into 5 types, and 2 types. Each types were compared in view of the mean depth, relative asymmetry, integration value. Consequently, these types could be classified in the number of the unit floor plan. It is profitable to 3 unit types which was analyzed in view of an indicator of the spatial configuration. Therefore, 3 unit types is favorable to the composition of the apartment building types.

  • 최근 재건축에 대한 규제가 강화됨에 따라 리모델링에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있는 추세이며, 기존 아파트의 경우에도 발코니 확장 등을 목적으로 내력벽을 철거하는 등 아파트 평면에 대한 변경사례가 증가하고 있다. 그러나 이와 같은 평면변경에는 구조안전에 대한 검토가 반드시 수반되어야 함에도 불구하고 이에 대한 인식은 크게 부족하며, 리모델링과 관련한 기존의 연구도 대부분 경제성 향상 측면에 초점을 맞추고 있어 구조적 안전성 측면에서의 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 최근 진행되고 있는 리모델링 사례 및 국내 대형 건설사들의 아파트 평면분석을 통해 아파트 평면변경에 수반되는 평면변경요소를 추출하고 이의 적용에 따른 구조요소별 응력변화 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 벽체축력은 독립 벽체를 제거하였을 때, 슬래브 모멘트는 ㄱ자형 벽체를 맞닿은 수직벽체와 함께 제거하였을 때 가장 불리한 결과를 초래하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 리모델링이나 발코니 확장 등 평면변경을 목적으로 벽체를 제거함으로 인해 유발되는 벽체와 슬래브의 응력변화를 예측하고 평가하는데 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

단위세대의 개방형 평면구성이 아파트가격에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Open Floor Plan Design Property on Apartment Price)

  • 주거공간의 개방성은 채광, 조망, 환기에 직접적인 영향을 끼치는 특성으로, 단위세대의 개방성 확보를 위해 아파트의 평면유형이 다양화되고 있다. 그러나 개방형 평면유형과 주택가격과의 관계를 분석한 연구는 부족한 실정으로 본 연구는 개방형 평면 유형이 아파트 가격에 미치는 영향을 실증 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 개방형 평면유형과 베이수, 발코니비율, 공간 당 외부접면비율 등의 평면개방정도와 형태를 변수화하고, 2006년부터 2015년까지 120개월간 강남구에서 거래된 아파트 자료를 기반으로 헤도닉 가격모형과 인공신경망 모형을 통해 비교분석하였다. 분석결과, 베이수, 공간 당 외부접면 비율이 높을수록 아파트 가격은 상승하며, 개방형 평면 유형은 3면 개방형 평면, 직각 개방형 평면, 양면 개방형 평면, 1면 개방형 평면, 복합 개방형 평면 순으로 가격이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 향후 신축 및 재건축시 사업자가 평면설계에 있어 소비자의 선호를 반영하고 구매자의 경우에도 평면유형에 따른 가치파악을 위한 시사점을 제공할 수 있다.

아파트 단지 내 경로당의 평면유형에 따른 공간변용 (Spatial Transfigurations by Floor Plan Type of Elderly Center in Apartment Complex)

  • The purposes of the study were to try configuring categorization of floor plans of elderly centers located in apartment complexes and to find out the spatial transfigurations regarding floor plan types. The data for the analysis of the study were collected from 56 elderly centers of apartment complexes in Ulsan by observations and interviews from July 3 through 13, 2012. The results are as follows. Firstly, the floor plans of the elderly centers were categorized into six types, which were 2R+L+K, 2R+LK, 1R+L+K/1R+LK, 1RL+K, 1RLK, and 2R+K/1R+K(no living room). Secondly, there were no salient differences among the plan types for the characteristics of physical environment of the centers. The types of 2R+L+K were relatively big in size and two thirds of the centers had gender-segregated rooms. Lastly, spatial transfigurations was found in sixty-percent of the centers, which included change of spatial arrangement, functional change, and functional addition. Interestingly, the more the spaces were segregated, the more the spatial transfigurations were performed in the way for the integration of functions of the rooms.

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the actual conditions of the floor area of skilled nursing facilities in rural area. The thorough investigation and observation works were made from the viewpoints of floor area of the skilled nursing facilities. This article discusses about the basic condition and the floor area for daily living activities of the elderly in 3 skilled nursing facilities in west gyeongnam province. As the result, There is a wide gap between floor area ratio of skilled nursing facilities. The characteristics of the private establishment skilled nursing facilities in the west gyeongnam province were figured out through the analysis of spatial composition in skilled nursing facilities for the elderly. The skilled nursing facilities in west gyeongnam mainly focus on the living environment orientated toward the bedroom. The difficulty is to encourage the communication between the skilled nursing facility patients because the facilities are composed of small semi-public zone.

행위자 기반 모형을 활용한 효율적 검진센터 서비스배분 및 공간조정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effective Health Examination Center Distribution and Space Coordination using Agent based Model)

  • Purpose: The important things in space plan of a screening center are improving the spatial awareness by space systemization and minimizing the examination time for customers, and reducing the required time of screening work and maximizing the capacity for the screening center. Therefore, we tried to solve the problem of improving spatial awareness and reducing the examination time by using the pedestrian based discrete event simulation at the minimum cost. Methods: We have analyzed the drawbacks and the supplement points by comparing the floor plan at the time of opening and the current floor plan. Based on the analysis, we propose an improved plan which changes the location of the examination rooms and the number of services, and we also verify the improved plan based on simulation analyses. Results: 1) Through the analyses, we derived the drawbacks of the floor plan at the time of opening, and we realized that the current floor plan reflects the drawbacks. 2) The major reasons of the long examination time are the human traffic jam and the occurrence of queues due to unreasonable allocation of services. 3) Through the discrete event simulation analyses, it was possible to specify the place of the queues manually so as to use the given space fairly. 4) Using the discrete event simulation, it was possible to reduce the examination time and to improve the spatial awareness effectively at the minimum cost. Implications: Although the proposed simulation methodology in this paper is an analysis of the existing screening center, we expect that the proposed methodology will be used to develop a more efficient architectural design process by pre-applying the method to the course of designing a screening center and finding the suitability of the proposed method with the matched number of services.

초고층건물 초기 구조시스템 선정을 위한 강성증가요인 효과 분석 (Analysis of Effects of Stiffness Increment Factors for Deciding the Initial Structural System of Tall Buildings)

  • The purpose of this research is to compare the stiffness increment effects with the floor plan shapes by the stiffness increment factors. For this, we generated the standard floor plans with Box and T type shapes. Then applied the stiffness increment factors -outrigger, material strength, member section- to those floor plans, and generated several alternative analysis models that make the effects of the factors to the lateral displacement exposed. Finally, we analyzed the stiffness increment effects and compared with each other by the stiffness increment factors. As a result, we found that the increment effects have not influence to floor plan shapes, and orders of stiffness increment effects are outrigger, core wall and material strength. We expect that the results of this study could be effectively utilized in the schematic structural design of tall buildings.
