Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the sinus bone graft resorption over 3 years after two-stage implant placement. Materials and Methods: The subjects for this study included 30 patients whose maxillary posterior ridges were too atrophic for implants. Bone-added osteotome sinus floor elevation was used in 15 maxillary sinuses, while the bone graft by lateral approach technique was used in 25 maxillary sinuses. The height from the top of the fixture to the sinus floor was estimated immediately after implant placement and the follow-up period was over 3 years. The surgery was classified with two groups: sinus bone grafting with and without autogenous bone. All implants were placed simultaneously. Results: The mean vertical bone loss was $3.15{\pm}2.95mm$. The survival rate of implants was 94.7%. Conclusion: The amount of bone resorption was not significantly associated with the surgical methods, the type of bone graft materials used, or sinus perforation during surgery.
In this study, long-term compression displacement of damping materials used to reduce floor impact noise and compressive load that crack begins to happen in Ondol layers including the material were measured as basic research to make guide line for right choice of damping material considering structural stability of Ondol layer. From the result, it was found that compression displacement by elapsed time as well as early displacement of damping material when load is applied on Ondol layer are should be included in the guide line for the choice of damping materials. And no problem is expected to be in structural stability of Ondol layer in case choose a damping material that compression displacement at three months later from inflict load is within 10% than initial thickness.
Modern people are spending most of time in interior area. Indoor air environmental problem is one of the most effective factors influenceable to human health. Furthermore, saving energy and making ventilation system for pleasant indoor environment are necessary when it is faced shortage of energy over the world. In our country's case, it is already imposed that required quantity of air ventilation in buildings is 0.7 times per hour on "The regulation on building engineering system". As on the rise of the interests about Indoor air environment, Heat and Carbon dioxide emissions from User's metabolism, activity, furniture, and construction materials etc. could be the causes of Indoor air pollution. If these materials stays in Indoor air for so long, it could directly influence the user's health condition with a disease. As of building's sterilization improved that raised more mechanical ventilation. It also leads much energy waste in a period of high price of fossil fuel. Therefore, the way that saves energy and effective control of indoor ventilation is urgently needed. So, this study places the purpose on validating volume of indoor ventilation and user's comfortable degree by comparison CO2 emission rate through changing floor temperature.
In previous studies, fire simulation was used to estimate the fire spread path. According to previous studies, the fire spread path was estimated to be the main staircase, but consideration of interior materials and internal bulkheads was insufficient. In this study, the ignition time of the 3rd layer was analyzed using the prediction formula considering the interior materials and internal bulkheads. As a result of referring to the architectural drawings, it was found that the interior material of the 3rd floor was made of polystyrene. The internal ignition time of the third floor using FDTs was calculated to be 14,070 seconds (about 234 minutes). The internal ignition time of the 3rd floor using the Handbook on Design Calculation Methods of Fire Behavior was calculated to be 3,104 seconds (about 51 minutes). As a result of calculating the ignition time through the predictive formula, there is a large difference in the ignition time, so it is necessary to review the condition of the variable as a result of the calculation in the future.
Objectives : At the closure of the transsphenoidal approach(TSA), the proper sellar floor reconstruction plays an important role in preventing postoperative complications. The septal cartilage, perpendicular plate of nasal septum, and the sphenoid sinus bone are usually used to repair the sellar floor as a bone splint. The authors evaluate the usefulness of a silicone plate as a substitute for bone splint to close a defect of the sellar floor. Materials and Methods : A silicone plate was used to repair the sellar floor in 7 patients with sellar lesions which included four pituitary adenomas, two Rathke's cleft cysts and one metastatic tumor. Among seven cases, five cases underwent a standard TSAs and two received a extended TSAs. The trajectories of the approach were sublabial in four cases and endonasal routes in three cases. The silicone plate for implantation was cut to a size of slightly larger than that of bone window and inserted with a three-pronged fork, and then adjusted precisely. Results : In six patients, there were no complications which related to sellar floor reconstruction. A postoperative cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) rhinorrhea was observed in one patient with pituitary macroadenoma. Conclusions : From the authors' experience, the advantages of the silicone plate are its simplicity of molding to fit any size of sellar floor defects, and easy detection of previously created bone window at reoperation.
Purpose: Blow-out fractures can be reduced using various methods. The orbital reconstruction technique using a balloon under endoscopic control has advantages over other methods. However, this method has some problems too, such as postoperative follow-up, management of the balloon catheter, and reduction of the posterior orbital floor. Thus, we developed a simple, effective method for orbital floor reduction that involves molding and shaping the antral balloon catheter. Methods: A 0, 30, or $70^{\circ}$, 4-mm endoscope was placed though a two-point, 5-mm maxillary antrostomy. The balloon catheter is placed directly at the orbital apex to reconstruct the anterior shelf (spherical shape), while it is turned in a U-shape towards the anterior maxilla for the posterior shelf (elliptical shape). Orbital floor defects, compound or comminuted fractures are reconstructed with alloplastic materials through an open lid incision under the endoscopic control. Results: This technique was applied to ten patients with orbital floor fractures: five anterior shelf and five posterior shelf fracture, respectively. Four of the patients had zygomatico-orbital fractures, while the rest had isolated orbital floor fractures. Two patients were given porous polyethylene implants Synpor$^{(R)}$) and three underwent reconstruction with a resorbable mesh plate. No complication associated with this technique was identified. Conclusion: The freestyle placement and selection of a urinary balloon catheter under endoscopic control and the preoperative estimation of the volume enhanced the stabilization of the orbital contour. This method improves the adaptation of the orbital floor without the risk of injuring the surrounding orbital contents, dissecting blindly, or using sharp traction. One drawback of this method is the patient's discomfort from the catheter during treatment.
Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the inferior expansion of the maxillary sinus floor following maxillary molar extraction. Materials and Methods : Cone beam computed tomographic images of 59 subjects were used to evaluate the height difference of the maxillary sinus floor between extraction sites and contralateral dentate sites. The height of the maxillary sinus floor was defined as the vertical distance to the Frankfort plane from the level of the anterior nasal spine to the most inferior point of the sinus floor. We examined the difference in sinus pneumatization according to the number of missing teeth and the vertical relationship of the molar roots to the sinus floor. Results : The inferior expansion of the maxillary sinus floor was $1.20{\pm}1.86\;mm$ on the maxillary first molar and $1.90{\pm}2.42\;mm$ on the maxillary second molar. Increased expansion was observed in cases where two proximate molars were extracted. There was no significant difference in sinus pneumatization following extraction according to the vertical relationship of the molar roots to the sinus floor. Conclusion : The results of this study confirm that sinus pneumatization occurs following maxillary molar extraction. In situations where pneumatization can affect treatment after molar extraction, three-dimensional radiography should be considered.
This studies is the typological study to classify the characteristics of Floor plan in wooden house that is built in the suburb of Korea through case studies. For this type classification, I took several criteria as follows: number of floors, location of entrance, approach way to inner room, location of step, arrangement way of public space and private space, those are considered as important elements for the determination of Floor plan. Ive got 10 representative types by analysing and synthesizing the relationship between these elements. I expect that these study results would be good materials for the developing new model of wooden houses that is more proper to our life.

The automated chemical analysis shop floor are developed for the environmental pollution problems in our chemical analysis center. This shop floor have the several equipments include weight, pour, dry, heater, boiler, mixture, spectroscopy etc. And the material handling components are made up by the stored stack, conveyore, turntables, robot etc. Computer simulation has been an important tool for these complete design problem. We have designed the arangement of chemical equipments and material flow systems by using the simulator "AutoModII". "AutoMoII" is one of the advanced simulator, CAD-like drawing tools with a powerful, engineering oriented language to model control logic and material flow. The result is the modeling of the chemical analysis system in accurate, three dimensional detail. We could designed the set able layout and scheduling system by using the AutoMoII simulator. AutoMoII simulator.
This research takes granite stone based floor finishing exposed to concentrated downpouring and observes the material's physical changes, adhesiveness, compressive strength under wet conditions. The results of the experiments shows that elution of sulfide mineral can occur when granite stones are exposed to downpour, but short term exposure shows little physical changes to the material. This indicates that if post maintenance is properly enacted, long term usage of granite stone materials is also possible.
