  • In the case of the front door of the apartment, which functions as an entrance, the study about noise has been less active than corridor type plane in the past, since stair room type plane was generalized. Hence, this study shows the survey about residents' thoughts of noise transmission through the front door, and after researching sound insulation of the present apartments, we figured out what the problem is. Moreover, we did an efficiency test as developing the front door, which increases sound insulation. As a result, it turned out that residents think that the noise transmission through the front door is as serious as floor impact noise, and also, the efficiency of the front door is as poor as STC 22-30. Therefore, in the developed front door, we should improve the efficiency to the level of STCSS. It will be a good way preparing for a demand of residents.

  • This study is to evaluate on the increased cost of construction according to the depth change of concrete slabs in apartment building. When we increased the depth of concrete slab from 150mm to 180, 210mm, the qualitative and cost of construction were calculated by the high-rise type, the unit-size type. As a result of this study, in 32 Pyong type, increment of construction cost rate appeared by $5.1\%$ in case of increase from slab 150mm to 180mm, and $10.0\%$ in case of increase from slab 150mm to 210mm. In 45 Pyong type, Increment of construction cost rate appeared by $5.7\%$ in case of increase from slab 150mm to 180mm, and $10.2\%$ in case of increase from slab 150mm to 210mm. In 55 Pyong type, Increment of construction cost rate appeared by $2.4\%$ in case of increase from slab 150mm to 180mm, and $8.9\%$ in case of increase from slab 150mm to 210mm.

  • The vibration of slab causes a sudden change of air pressure in the interface between slab and air to create structure home sound. Floor impact noise induced from the vibration of slab became one of the hottest social issues in these day, and it took the biggest parts of the cause of damage in environmental dispute. Because the structure borne sound of slab is different from the dynamic characteristic of slab, it is required more precise vibroacaustic analysis. In this study, we was trying to understand by what mechanism the slab noise is induced from the slab vibration and the relationship between the dynamic propety of slab and the noise is shown by the numerical simulation.

  • As the results of actual survey of indoor noise in apartment houses, it represents that plumbing noise and floor impact noise are most unsatisfactory factors to inhabitants. In this paper, the actual condition of plumbing noise in apartment houses was measured and the methods of plumbing noise reduction are suggested. For these suggestions, the actual survey of plumbing noise and the model test on structure-borne sound of water supply pipe and drain sound were carried out.

  • Recently Requirement of indoor environment is increased in APT. Among indoor noises of APT, noise of plumbing system in bathroom is very serious problem except of floor impact noise. Plumbing system with wan hanging unit make a good grade and recognition in rating noise of bathroom in grade of house rating. But it is hard to find a data which are measured in APT built. In this study, the effect of noise reduction is checked by measuring the noise of plumbing system with wall hanging unit that is built. As result the upper household's Peak sound level is measured 80dB(A), the under household's peak sound level is measured 40dB(A).

  • There are various types of noise around us such as road traffic noise, aircraft noise and floor impact sound, equipment noise etc. Recently researches on the criteria to evaluate the noises have been progressed, however, researches on the noise criteria and evaluation method for the diffuser noise of HVAC are insufficient. dB(A) and NC values represented in ASHRAE guide book are applied as a noise criteria for diffuser noise, which have some problems like that the values between dB(A) and NC have deviation even if the sound is same one. Therefore, the evaluation method should be considered and proposed based on the subjective responses. From these reasons, this study aimed to analyze the evaluation factors for the diffuser noise of HVAC reflected on the subjective responses by surveying vocabularies and grouping them with factor analysis.

  • Most of receiving rooms for the measurement of floor impact sound have rectangular shapes with couple of meters of dimension, with reflective finishing, no furniture, no curtains. Modal overlaps in those condition are the major reason for the low reproducibility, and as a matter of course, the low credibility. It is the major purpose of this study that searching for a better measurement method which mitigate the effect of modal overlap on measurement. Two ways of methods are tested. One is the way described in ISO standards which enables controlling the room modes of receiving rooms, the other is the way which enables to get more precise spatial averages in receiving rooms with room modes. It is not easy maintaining the reverberation time of low frequency bands in the range between 1s and 2s, though it is proven to be effective controlling the room modes with base traps. Space-time average SPL's through combinations of rotating microphones are easy to measure, and have good consistencies with average SPL of entire receiving room.

  • The purpose of this study is to present a fundamental data for evaluating aircraft noise of building site development. By the field experiments and the predicted equal noise level contours using the INM program, actual condition in the building site development arranged district was investigated. In order to get the results, Analysis of factors effected on noise level, sound level on the rate of increase to aircraft demand and difference on the aircraft noise levels according to floor level in apartment house was carried out. As a result the influence of the take-off and landing direction were appeared greatly. The influences of the height at receiving point, movement number of aircraft and increase to aircraft demand were appeared small And the influence of 1 day average WECPNL must be considered.

  • Recently, the research and discussion to set up the evaluation standard for nor impact noises in multistory residential buildings has been vividly carried out In Korea. Therefore, the correlation between the methods and auditory responses was investigated through this research to investigate the applicability of the L index evaluation method and the reverse A characteristics evaluation method that are listed in JIS A 1419 since Japanese circumstance are similar to Korean after evaluating the duality of Korean multistory residential buildings. As a result, it was found that the correlation between the value resulted from L index evaluation and the value from reverse A characteristics evaluation is high. In addition, it was also revealed that human responses to each Impacter was similar. Consequently, it is considered th:31 the tendency about the two methods would be similar.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of energy saving and sound insulation of building materials mixed with charcoal. To investigate the functionality of building based on the difference of construction materials, three different experimental buildings were constructed. They were buildings built with the conventional construction materials (A), the charcoal construction materials (B), and the charcoal-sericite construction materials (C). The study showed that energy consumption could be reduced approximately 9.5% and 14.5% by replacing A with B and C, respectively. Especially, it is revealed that the lower outdoor temperature was, the higher energy saving effect was. Also, after shutoff the boiler switch the decrease rate of room temperature of the one using B was lower than those of others using A and C so that the room temperature at the building using B was higher by $3.5{\sim}4.2^{\circ}C$ in the 1 meter air above the ground and by $4.4{\sim}5.4^{\circ}C$ on the floor surface after 12 hours passed. In the building noise test the heavy-and light-weight impact sound of the plate, represented by criterion of noise between floors in multi-story building, tended to decrease in the test sample containing charcoal.
