터렛 계류된 부유체의 과대 선수동요에 관한 실험 연구 (Experimental Study of Excessive Yaw Motion of Turret Moored Floating Body)

  • Excessive yaw motion of a turret moored vessel was examined in this paper. The vessel was moored by an internal turret and catenary mooring lines. The experiments were conducted in regular waves. Turret moored vessel can oscillate from side to side or move to one particular direction, and eventually exhibit large yaw motion. The results showed that the excessive yaw occured for specific condition, ratio of wave lengths and vessel length. It was found that turret moored floating vessel was unstable for regular wave period from 14 to 18 sec and excessive yaw occurred to maximum 50 deg. The time series, trajectory, phase plot and qualitative analysis are performed. The analysis showed that the results of experiments agreed with the that of analytic method and the excessive yaw could be predicted by the stability analysis.

FZ법에 의한 $La_{1-x}Ca_xMnO_3$(x=0.33)의 결정성장과 전자기적 물성에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Electromagnetic Properties of $La_{1-x}Ca_xMnO_3$(x=0.33) grown by Floating Zone Method)

  • La/sub 1-x/Ca/sub x/MnO₃ 망간산화물을 할로겐 램프를 열원으로 하는 FZ법으로 결정성장시켰다. 결정성장조건은 공기 분위기 하에서 성장속도 4∼6 mm/hr, 원료봉의 회전속도 45∼50 rpm, 성장되는 결정의 회전속도는 20-25rpm이었다. 성장된 시편의 분석은 XRD, SEM, EPMA를 이용하였으며 EBSD로 결정성장 방위를 분석하였다. 전자기적 물성 측정은 4단자 탐침법으로 Quantum Design PPMS를 이용하였고 215 K에서 462%의 MR값을 얻을 수 있었다.

천해에서 유연라이저의 동적해석 결과 비교 (A Comparison of Dynamic Analysis for the Flexible Riser in Shallow Water)

  • Flexible risers have been used extensively in recent years for floating and early production systems. Such risers offer the advantage of having inherent heave compliance in their catenary thereby greatly reducing the complexity of the riser-to-rig and riser-to subsea interfaces. Another advantage with flexible risers is their greater reliability. Concerns about fatigue life, gas permeation and pigging of lines have been overcome by extensive experience with these risers in production applications. In this paper, flexible riser analysis results were compared through coupled and uncoupled dynamic analyses methods. A time domain coupled analysis capability has been developed to model the dynamic responses of an integrated floating system incorporating the interactions between vessel, moorings and risers in a marine environment. For this study, SPM (Single Point Mooring) system for an FSU in shallow water was considered. This optimization model was integrated with a time-domain global motion analysis to assess both stability and design constraints of the flexible riser system.

공간 데이터 재구축을 통한 음식업종 매출액 영향 요인 분석 : 이종 공간 데이터의 집계단위 변환을 중심으로 (Analyzing Influence Factors of Foodservice Sales by Rebuilding Spatial Data : Focusing on the Conversion of Aggregation Units of Heterogeneous Spatial Data)

  • 이 연구에서는 서울연구원 제공 집계구 자료를 이용하여 유동인구와 공간 특성, 공간자기상관이 음식업종의 매출액에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 최근 공공 분야의 빅데이터가 증가하고 있지만 자료집계 단위가 달라 연구에 어려움을 야기하는 경우가 많다. 본 연구에서도 종속변수인 매출액은 SKT 집계구 단위로, 공간 특성은 통계청 집계구와 행정동 단위로, 그리고 유동인구는 Point 정보로 구축되어 있다. 분석을 위해 먼저 SKT 집계구 단위로 모든 독립변수의 집계단위를 변환하였다. 공간자기상관 효과를 검정할 수 있는 모형인 SEM을 이용하여 회귀분석을 수행한 결과 매출액에 대한 공간자기상관의 영향이 확인되었으며, 또한 유동인구와 주변 종사자수, 집계 구 면적이 매출액에 정의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 강남구에 비해 중구, 영등포구, 송파구 매출액이 더 적은 것으로 나타났다. 이 같은 결과는 유동인구가 많고 주변 종사자수가 많은 지역, 그리고 음식업종 점포들이 몰려있는 지역이 창업에 유리하다는 것을 시사한다. 이 연구는 이종 공간 데이터의 집계단위 변환의 유용성 과 함께 지도상의 면적 비례로 집계단위를 변환하는 것의 한계를 보여줌으로써 후속 연구에 시사점을 제공한다.

  • A VLSI architecture of an Ogg Vorbis decoder is proposed : which is dedicated to portable audio appliances. Referring to the computational cost analysis of the decoding processes, the LSP (Line Spectrum Pair) process, which takes more than 50% of the total processing time, can be regarded as a bottleneck to achieve realtime processing by embedded Processors. Thus in our decoder a specific hardware architecture is devised for the LSP process so as to be integrated into a single chip together with an ARM7TDMI processor. In addition, in order to reduce the total hardware cost, instead of the floating point arithmetic, the fixed point arithmetic is adopted. The LSP module has been implemented with 9,740 gates by using a Virtual Silicon 0.l5$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology, which operates at 58.8MHz with the total CPU load reduced by 57%. It is also verified that the use of the fixed point arithmetic does not incur any significant sound distortion.

Effect of Nutritional Requirements and Feeding Regimes at First Feeding on the Survival of the Larval Olive Flounder Paralichthys olivaceus

  • Despite the relatively high production of fingerlings of the olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus, its larval rearing in terms of first feeding has not been fully analyzed. We evaluated the variations of amino acids and fatty acids of starved larvae over 96 hr after hatching. We also investigated depletion of the yolk and oil globule of starved larvae and those fed the rotifer Brachionus plicatilis. In addition, the optimum size of the rotifers according to the mouth size of the larvae, and the point of no return with delay of the first feeding, were also examined. The amino acids in the egg decreased abruptly during embryo development. At 48 to 72 hr after hatching, the amino acids of starved larvae decreased by $30-40\%$ from the level in newly hatched larvae. The concentrations of fatty acids in newly hatched larvae were lower than those of floating eggs and dropped sharply at 48 hr after hatching, when the yolk disappeared. The starved larvae depleted their yolksacs and oil globules earlier than the fed larvae did. At 84 hr after hatching, rotifers were detected for the first time in the guts of the larvae, which were about 3 mm in total length. The point of no return appeared to be close to the fourth day from the first feeding. For a high survival rate of P. olivaceus larvae, the first feeding should occur before the third day after hatching.

지상파 DMB 모뎀용 R2SDF/R2SDC 하이브리드 구조의 FFT/IFFT 코어 설계 (A Design of FFT/IFFT Core with R2SDF/R2SDC Hybrid Structure For Terrestrial DMB Modem)

  • 본 논문에서는 지상파 DMB 단말기 모뎀의 핵심 기능블록으로 사용되는 FFT/IFFT 코어(FFT256/2k)를 설계하였다. 설계된 코어는 Eureka-147 전송 규격에 명시된 4가지 전송모드를 지원할 수 있도록 256/512/1204/2048점 FFT/IFFT를 선택적으로 수행하도록 설계되었다. R2SDF와 R2SDC 구조를 혼합하여 적용함으로써 메모리 용량을 최소화 하였으며, R2SDC 단일 구조로 구현한 경우에 비해 메모리 크기를 약 $62\%$ 감소시켰다. 또한 TS_CBFP(Two Step Convergent Block Floating Point)를 사용하여 SQNR를 향상시켰으며, 50MHz(a)2.5-V로 동작하는 경우 2048점 FFT/IFFT 연산에 $41-\;{\mu}s$가 소요되었다 Verilog-HDL로 설계된 코어는 $0.25-\;{\mu}m$ CMOS Cell 라이브러리로 합성한 결과 약 68,400개의 게이트와 58,130 비트의 메모리로 구현되었으며, switching activity를 산출하여 전력소모를 측정한 결과 2048점 FFT의 경우 113-mW의 전력을 소모하는 것으로 추정되었다. 설계된 코어를 FPGA에 구현하여 동작시킨 결과 정상 동작을 검증하였으며, 전체 평균 50-dB 이상의 SQNR 성능을 보였다.

Simulation Study on a Quasi Fermi Energy Movement in the Floating Body Region of FITET (Field-induced Inter-band Tunneling Effect Transistor)

  • Negative-differential conductance (NDC) characteristics as well as negative-differential trans-conductance (NDT) characteristics have been observed in the room temperature I-V characteristics of Field-induced Inter-band Tunneling Effect Transistors (FITETs). These characteristics have been explained with inter-band tunneling physics, from which, inter-band tunneling current flows when the energy bands of degenerately doped regions align, and it does not flow when they don't. FITET is an SOI device and the body region is not directly connected to the external terminal. Therefore, Fermi energy in the body region is determined by electrical coupling among four regions - gate, source, drain and substrate. So, a quasi Fermi energy of the majority carriers in the floating body region can be changed by external voltages, and this causes the energy band movements in the body region, which determine whether the energy bands between degenerately doped junctions aligns or not. This is a key point for an explanation of NDT and NDC characteristics. In this paper, a quasi Fermi energy movement in the floating body region of FITET was investigated by a device simulation. This result was applied for the description of relation between quasi Fermi energy in the body region and external gate bias voltage.

Floating Zone법에 의한 Mn-Zn Ferrite 단결정성장에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Crystal Growing of Mn-Zn Ferrite Single Crystals by Floating Zone Method)

  • Soft Ferrites 가운데 대표적인 자성재료로써 최근에 개발된 Mn-Zn Ferrite는 높은 초기투자율과 포화자속밀도, 낮은 손실계수를 갖고 있으며 또한, 단결정으로써의 기계적 특성이 우수하며 VTR Head의 소재로 사용되는 중요한 전자부품이다. melt를 수용하는 도가니를 사용치 않아 결정으로의 불순물 침입이 없으며 halogen lamp로부터 방출된 적외선을 열원으로 하여 한 곳에 초점을 이루어 온도구배를 크게 유지하여 결정성장을 이루는 Floating Zone(FZ)법에 의해 Ar 및 $O_2$혼합가스 분위기 하에서 직경 8mm의 Mn-Zn Ferrite 단결정을 육성하였다. 성장 중 용융대에서의 최고온도는 $1650^{\circ}C$ 온도를 유지하였고 결정성장 속도는 10mm/hr, 회전속도는 20 rpm 이었으며 성장방위를 확인하기 위해 Laue 분석 및 XRD, TEM을 이용, 결정의 상등을 분석하였으며 화학적인 etching을 하여 광학현미경을 통해 etch pits 형상을 관찰하였다. 그리고 양질의 결정을 얻기 위해 원료봉 직경에 따른 결정화 속도와 적정한 melt직경과 길이에 대한 상관관계를 찾아내었고 또한 성장계면의 양상에 대해 고찰하였다.

Floating Zone Technique법으로 질소분위기 하에서 성장한 BaZr0.08Ti0.92O3 다결정의 Tunability 및 열처리 효과 (Annealing Effect and Tunability of BaZr0.08Ti0.92O3 Polycrystal Grown in N2 Gas Atmosphere by Floating Zone Technique)

  • In the atmosphere of $N_2$ gas, BaZ $r_{0.08}$ $Ti_{0.92}$ $O_3$ polycrystal was grown by floating zone technique using BaZ $r_{0.08}$ $Ti_{0.92}$ $O_3$ ceramics as a feed and SrTi $O_3$(1l0) single cystal as a seed. The dielectric constant and loss at 10 kHz, 100 kHz, and 1 MHz for the as-grown sample were measured as a function of temperature in the temperature range between -10$0^{\circ}C$ and 150 $^{\circ}C$ to find a dielectric peak with frequency dispersion at Curie point. The hysteresis loop showed that the grown sample had very small polarization which was 0-0.01 $\mu$C/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for the applied dc-electric fields from -7 kV/cm to +7 kV/cm. However, the normal hysteresis loop was appeared after oxygen annealing. The electric-field dependence of the dielectric constant for both the as-grown and the post-annealed samples was studied by measuring the dielectric constants as a function of the biased-electric fields and their tunability was figured out from it at room temperature(27 $^{\circ}C$) and cryotemperature( -73$^{\circ}C$). Tunability for the as-grown sample was 51 % and the figure of merit 20.4 at 10kHz with the biased electric-field of 12 kV/cm. The tunability for the grown sample may be increased up to 80 % if the electric field of 25 kV/cm is applied. Tunability for the post-annealed sample was 41 % and the figure of merit 10.3 at 10 kHz with the biased electric-field of 12 kV /cm. Post-annealing improved the crystallinity of the as-grown sample but decreased its tunability.ability.
