Up to now, the only way is Floating Slab Track System, which cuts off vibration by installing spring between concrete slab and ground for the lines of particularly requiring attenuating vibration. The weak point of Floating Slab Track System is large increase of construction cost because normally the structure is getting bigger. In regards to this matter, Floating Rail Track System has been developed, which cuts off vibration by floating the first cause of vibration rail, and the system is in operation. In the thesis, the application of new attenuating vibration track system has been confirmed by studying theoretical background of Floating Rail Track System and evaluating dynamic deflection of track and attenuating of noise and vibration performance through various measurements from laboratory tests and site inspection.

Recently the construction of railway sections passing the central area of cities and stations under railway lines are increasing, and then it is urgently required to take the countermeasures against the railway vibration and the second-phase noise radiated from it. The most efficient countermeasure, out of technologies developed up to now, is the floating slab track which is the track system isolated from the sub-structure by springs. In other countries, the source technologies for anti-vibration design and vibration isolator - one of key components - have been developed and many installation experiences have been accumulated. However, in Korea, since the system design technology and technologies for key components are not yet developed, the foreign system are being introduced without any adjustment, and the key component, vibration isolator, depends on imports. In this study, analysis on floating slab system installed rubber mat and stopper is carried for the examination on the safety of floating slab system.

From the result of preceding study, there is no reinforcement such as dowel bar or etc. in Joint system of floating slab. Length of floating slab in preceding study is short than one of this study. If there is no reinforcement in the joint of long slab span, fracture of slab is predicted by difference between two slabs. Therefore using of dowel bar is demanded. In this study, General characteristic and preceding technology of dowel bar is researched for data of analysis study. And it is considered application of dowel bar in floating slab system.

A floating floor generally consists of mortar bed separated from the structural RC slab by a continuous resilient layer. It is known that the floating floors are a type of vibration-isolation system to improve the impact sound insulation performance. However, some researchers have demonstrated that the amplification of vibration response at a specific range of frequencies results in an increase in the impact sound level. This study carried out the forced vibration tests to obtain the frequency response function (FRF) of a floating floor compared with a bare RC slab. Test results shows that the additional peak occur in vibrational spectrum of the floating floor except natural vibration modes of the bare RC slab. This is because the relatively flexible resilient material and mass of the mortar bed offer an additional degree of freedom in the structural system. Therefore, it could be efficient for reduction of floor impact vibration and noise to control the additional mode frequency and response of floating floors.

In the case of elevated railway station in which railway is connected with superstructure of station, vibration and noise level is relatively higher than those of general structure type station due to structural characteristic which transmits vibration directly. Therefore, characteristic understanding of structural vibration and accompanying structure cause noise and establishment of reduction plan through the results are in need. Test and analysis are performed in this research to consider correlativity between structural vibration and accompanying structure cause noise when external forces are applied on standard slab and floating slab which is able to isolate vibration. By producing and loading on standard and floating slab, vibration and noise response are measured while simulation using numerical analysis, finite element method and SEA method is performed. The results about structural dynamic behavior of slab, correlativity between structural vibration and noise, reduction performance of floating slab is deduced through the analysis of tests.
Recently, many railway stations are built under the railway line in urban area. The passage of railway vehicles generates mechanical vibrations of a wide range of frequency. Thus, it is required to place structural vibration isolation systems to reduce vibration and noise originating from surrounding environments. This study utilizes elastometric bearings as a vibration isolation system. The slab track system on elastometric bearings is called "low vibration track" or "floating slab track." In this low vibration track system, dowel bars or plates can be installed to minimize the discontinuity of displacement between adjacent floating slab tracks. This study is to numerically investigate the effects of dowel members on static behavior of the low vibration track. The study involves two steel dowel systems including dowel bars and dowel plates. Each dowel system is analyzed under the service load condition to assess load transfer efficiency (LTE).

Railway has been pointed to the efficiency of transportation, rapid transit, and comfortable train ride. the construction of railway near the downtown area and station building are increasing for maximization of utilization and convenience. but the heavy of transportation and rapid transit lead to increase noise and vibration. the noise and vibration of railway may cause the civil appeal, decline in the serviceability and insufficiency of environmental standard. In this study, floating slab system which is one of the solution to avoid noise and vibration in railway has been introduced, and analyzed floating Slab Track into arrangement of reduction material of vibration. As a result of analysis, It was estimated the bearing installation though slab have not a negative factor and terminal arrangement of reduction material of vibration have advantage for static behavior.

A precast floating slab track with a 5m slab panel and installed with isolators is proposed to solve the noise and vibration problem at existing elevated railway stations. Thus, the construction can be carried out rapidly without interrupting the train operation. However, dynamic instability problems may be caused by repeated discontinuities in track due to the short slab panel length and excessive rail displacement due to the inherent operation mechanism of a floating system in reducing the vibration. Furthermore, the difference of the supporting stiffness at the transition between the floating track and ballast track may raise problems. In this study, the assessment factors to evaluate the dynamic stability of the precast floating slab track are presented and assessed with the vehicle-track interaction analysis. Through the analysis, all values relevant to the stability at the floating track section are found to be acceptable, and the slab panels at the transition section are designed to satisfy the stability.

Recently the construction of stations under railway lines and railway sections passing through central area of cities are increasing, calling for an urgent establishment of countermeasures against railway vibration and its subsequent second-phase noise. Of technology developed up to now, the most efficient countermeasure is the floating slab track, a track system isolated from the sub-structure by springs. Unfortunately, however, the system design technology and technology for key components have not yet developed in Korea. As such, in this study, the analysis and design technology of floating slab track and its vibration isolator technology can be achieved. In preparation for future demands, it is expected to raise awareness for the need of technology self-support and to make a meaningful contribution to mitigating vibration and noise produced by the next-generation high-speed railway.
