스위스 볼과 탄성 밴드를 이용한 저항성운동이 여성 노인의 체력 및 근감소증 지표에 미치는 영향 (The effects of 12-weeks complex training using swiss ball and elastic band on senior fitness and sarcopenia index in elderly women)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 스위스 볼과 탄성 밴드를 이용한 12주간의 복합운동이 여성 노인의 체력 및 근감소증 지표에 미치는 영향을 보고자 하였다. 운동집단 13명과 통제집단 14명으로 분류하여, 운동 집단은 주 3회, 3세트, 운동강도 약간 힘들게, 60분 실시하였다. 측정 변인은 근력, 전신지구력, 유연성과 동적 평형성으로 하였고, 근감소증 지표는 근력 요인과 단기운동수행력으로 하였다. 연구결과 체력 변인에서는 근력, 전신지구력과 유연성에서는 유의한 개선이 없었고, 동적 평형성에서는 유의한 개선이 있었다. 근감소증 지표에서는 유의한 개선이 없었으나 단기운동수행력에서는 유의한 개선이 있었다. 결론적으로 스위스 볼과 탄성 밴드를 이용한 복합운동은 동적 평형성과 단기운동수행력에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Background: This study investigated the effects of face-to-face and non-face-to-face McKenzie exercises and elastic band strengthening exercises on falls and fitness in older adults. Methods: A total of 44 subjects were divided into a face-to-face group (FG; n=22) and a non-face-to-face group (NFG; n=22) who met older adults. Both groups used McKenzie exercises and strength training with elastic bands The fall efficacy scale (K-FES) and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) Pro were used to compare the senior fitness test (SFT). Results: No significant differences were detected between the two groups before the intervention; however, a significant difference was noted in the K-FES scores after the intervention. The change in HbA1c after the intervention was not statistically significant in the FG or the NFG, and no significant difference was detected between the two groups. The change in lower limb muscle strength in the elderly physical fitness test showed no significant difference between the two groups before or after the intervention. The change in upper limb flexibility after the intervention was not significantly different in the FG or NFG, indicating no significant difference between the two groups. The change in the 3-meter round-trip test after the intervention was significantly different in both the FG and NFG groups, but the difference between the groups was not statistically significant. The change in the grip strength test of the dominant hand showed no significant difference after the intervention in the FG or the NFG, and the difference between the FG and NFG groups was not statistically significant. The dominant foot external standing after the intervention was significantly improved in the FG, but no significant difference was detected in the NFG, and the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant. Conclusion: The study findings revealed that FG and NFG McKenzie exercises and elastic band strengthen exercises were equally effective at preventing falls and improving fitness in older adults.

한국 여성 노인을 대상으로 한 피트니스 압박웨어 선호도 및 착용 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Preference and Wearing Characteristics of Fitness Compression wear for Korean Elderly Women)

  • This study evaluated the preference and wearing characteristics of existing fitness compression wear for elderly women and identified the problems and improvements of existing fitness apparel. Preference and wearing characteristics for 6 types (A-F) of upper and lower fitness compression wear were evaluated. Photos and drawings as well as the preferred designs and details were investigated after presenting the evaluation clothing. Evaluations were made on a 5 point Likert scale for the fitness, allowance, pressure, ease of movement, fabric material, and overall satisfaction after wearing. The design preference indicated that B type (26.6%) and C type (23.4%) were preferred in the top with C, E and F type preferred to the same ratio of 19.4% in the slacks. The fitness and allowance amount of the top B type were the most appropriate (${\geq}4$), the C type was in close contact (2.86), and the F type was inadequate in the neck circumference (1.77). The feeling of pressure was high in the waist, abdomen, thighs, and knees. The area where the elderly people want to improve their strength was the legs; in addition, a pattern design was needed to strengthen leg muscles when designing fitness compression wear. However, a design with excessive adhesion due to a muscle support band was shown to be not preferred. Therefore, depending on the activity, it is necessary to develop a fitness compression wear that applies an optimum stretching ratio of fabric based on body surface area changes.

  • 본 논문에서는 NFC 통신기술 기반의 스마트밴드를 이용하여 스포츠 센터의 운동기구를 예약하여 사용할 수 있도록 하는 운동기구 예약 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 사용자는 스마트밴드를 통하여 언제 어떤 운동 기구를 사용해야 하는지 알림 정보를 수신할 수 있다. 사용자는 추천 운동 프로그램을 활용하여 운동을 할 수 있고, 피크 시간에도 대기인원이 없기 때문에 편하게 원하는 운동기구를 사용할 수 있다. 또한, 관리자는 효율적인 시설관리를 통해 비용을 절감할 수 있고 수집된 운동 정보를 통해 사용자에게 맞춤 정보를 제공함으로써 경쟁력 있는 센터 운영이 가능하다.

발레 바와 탄성밴드의 복합운동이 중년여성의 신체조성, 체력, 자세교정에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Ballet Bar and Elastic Band Exercise on Body Composition, Physical Fitness and Postural Correction in Middle-Aged Women)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a combined exercise program using a ballet bar and elastic bands on the body composition, physical strength, and postural correction of middle-aged women. Methods : The subjects were 28 middle-aged women with no ballet experience. They were divided into an experimental group (n=14; exercise group) and a control group (n=14; non-exercise group) through random sampling. The experimental group underwent an exercise program using a ballet bar and elastic bands for 50 minutes twice a week for 12 weeks, whereas the control group performed no exercise. The subjects in both group had their body composition, physical fitness, and postural angles measured before and after the intervention. A paired t-test was used to compare pre- and post-test values within each group, and a two-way repeated measures ANOVA was employed to compare pre- and post-test changes between the two groups. Results : Regarding body composition, statistically significant differences in BMI (p<.05), body fat percentage (p<.001), and muscle mass (p<.001) were observed between the two groups before and after the intervention. For physical fitness, the experimental group showed statistically significant increases in quick reflexes (p<.001), muscle endurance (p<.001), and muscle strength (p<.001). For postural correction, the experimental group exhibited statistically significant decreases in all variables: the head (p<.001), shoulder (p<.001), cervical tilt (p<.001), right-left pelvic tilt (p<.001), and anterior-posterior pelvic tilt (p<.001). Conclusion : A combined exercise program using a ballet bar and elastic bands had positive effects on the body composition, physical fitness, and postural correction of middle-aged women.

사물인터넷 기반 피트니스 헬스케어 시스템의 분석 및 설계 (Analysis and Design of Fitness Healthcare System based on IoT)

  • IoT 기반 피트니스 헬스케어 시스템을 이용하면 실내외에서 정확한 운동량을 측정하고 언제 어느 곳에서나 스마트폰으로 필요한 운동정보에 대한 푸시메시지를 받을 수 있고 검색이 가능하여 매우 편리하다. 이 시스템은 운동기구에 있는 센싱장치를 포함한 IoT 모듈, IoT 게이트웨이, 스마트폰, 스마트밴드 및 서버 등이 인터넷으로 연동하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 "IoT 기반 피트니스 헬스케어 시스템"의 소프트웨어를 개발하는데 있어 객체지향 분석 방법인 UML을 이용한 소프트웨어 개발 분석 방법과 플로우차트 및 UI 설계 같은 설계 방법을 보여줌으로써 실무 개발에 적합한 분석/설계 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of a low intensity exercise program with telephone coaching on the physical fitness and physiological index of elderly women who are receiving home visiting health program. Methods: This study was conducted using a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The participants were 53 senior citizens. The subjects (15) in experimental group 1 performed only a low-intensity exercise program and the subjects (16) in experimental group 2 performed a low intensity exercise program with telephone coaching for 16 weeks. The low intensity exercise program consisted of muscle strength band exercise, stretching, and hand exercise using balls. Results: There were statistical differences in the right grip strength (p=.030), left grip strength (p=.035), raising behind of right arm (p=.046), raising behind of left arm (p=.045), postprandial blood sugar (p=.021), body mass index (p=.029). Conclusion: The low intensity exercise program with telephone coaching is recommended as a physical fitness and physiological index for elderly women in a home visiting health program.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of low intensity exercise program with telephone coaching on the physical fitness of elderly people who are receiving home visiting nursing care. Method: This study was conducted using a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The participants were 61 elders. Elders (34) in the experimental group performed low intensity exercise and of these 16 received telephone coaching. The low intensity exercise program consisted of stretching, muscle strengthening with an elastic band, massage, and ball exercise, five days a week, for sixteen weeks. Data were collected from July 2007 to December 2007. $x^2$-test, ANCOVA with SPSS WIN 11.0 program were used to analyse the data. Results: There were statistical differences in the right grasping power in the right hand (p=0.021), Raising behind of right arm (p=0.006), Raising behind of left arm (p=0.007). Conclusion: These results indicate, that a low intensity exercise program with telephone coaching can help improve physical fitness in elders receiving served home visiting nursing care.

파워 저항운동이 여성노인의 체력, 근육량 및 단기운동수행력에 미치는 영향 (Effect of power resistance intervention on fitness and muscle mass and short physical performance battery in older women adults)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 파워 저항운동이 여성노인의 체력, 근육량 및 단기운동수행력에 미치는 영향을 보고자 하였다. 이 연구에 참여한 피검자는 70세 이상의 천안시 거주 여성노인 30명을 파워 저항운동군 15명과 일반 저항운동군 15명으로 분류하였다. 파워 저항운동군은 속도를 빠르게 하는 저항운동을 일반 저항운동군은 평소속도의 운동을 주 3회 60분간 실시하였다. 연구결과 근력은 두 저항운동군에서 유의한 개선을 보였고, 전신지구력에서는 파워 저항운동군에서 유의한 개선을 보였다. 단기운동수행력 중 2.44m왕복걷기는 파워 저항운동군에서, 400m걷기에서는 두 저항운동군에서 유의한 개선을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 체력과 근량 및 단기운동수행력에서 두 운동방법의 효과는 충분하나 파워저항운동이 다소 우세한 것으로 나타났다.

시판 국내외 사이클 웨어의 제품 분석 (A Study on Products Analysis of the Domestic and Overseas Cycling Wears)

  • This study provided basic data to develop functional and fitness cycling wear for cyclists. We analyzed the domestic and overseas cycling wear brand patterns for tops and tights as well as compared pads attached to tights. The results were as follows. The tops of the cycling wear were designed with cutting lines in the lateral or yoke in the back to reflect cycling posture. It is necessary to study if there is a difference in the air resistance or fitness of the athlete. The sleeve hem band affected by arm movement during cycling, proper sewing and band pressure are also important. The tights have a brand that does not insert a band in front of the waist in consideration of the cyclist's breathing. It should take into account methods of constructing a proper garment pressure that does not interfere with cycling. Analyzing the cycling pad indicated that the three-dimensional shape and size of the pad show many differences for each brand, indicating a difference in cycling movement suitability. In addition, many of the cutting lines should account for the productive aspects because of the high consumption of the fabric in order to design a pattern considering the cycling posture.
