Purpose: The purpose of this study was to construct a hypothetical model based on Meleis and colleagues' Transition Theory and a literature review to explain women's menopausal transition, constructing a modified model considering previous studies and model fit and testing the effects between variables. Methods: With a correlational survey design, middle-aged Korean women aged 40 to 64 years who had experienced menopausal symptoms were recruited and filled out a self-administered study questionnaire. Measures included menopausal symptoms, resilience, social support, menopause management, menopause adaptation, and quality of life. The data were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0. Results: The model fit indices were considered acceptable: 𝛘2/degree of freedom=2.93, standardized root mean residual=.07, comparative fit index=.90, and parsimonious normed fit index=.73. All eight direct-effect paths-from menopausal symptoms to support and adaptation, from support to adaptation and resilience, from resilience to adaptation and management, from management to quality of life, and from adaptation to quality of life-were significant. The explanatory power of the menopause transition model was 63.6%. Conclusion: Women who experience menopausal symptoms may be able to maintain and improve their quality of life if menopause management and menopause adaptation are successful through resilience and social support. Future research is needed to confirm whether strengthening facilitation as a nursing intervention strategy may promote healthy response patterns.
The Pearson chi-square goodness-of-fit test and the likelihood ratio tests are usually used for testing independence in two-way contingency tables under random sampling. But both of these tests may provide false results for the contingency table with clustered observations. In this case we consider the generalized linear mixed model which includes random effects of clustering in addition to the fixed effects of covariates. Both the heterogeneity between clusters and the dependency within a cluster can be explained via generalized linear mixed model. In this paper we introduce several types of generalized linear mixed model for testing independence in contingency tables with clustered observations. We also discuss the fitting of these models through a real dataset.
Black-box testing needs to prepare fitting test data, execute software, and examine the result. If we test software effectively, not only selecting test cases but also representing test cases are important. In static testing effectiveness of testing activities also depends on how to represent test cases and checklist to validate. This paper suggests a method for finding ineffective critical test cases and reengineering them. An experiment of reengineering digital set-top box software shows the process and results of checking effectiveness and conformance of current test cases and patching test cases. The result shows how much save the test time and improve test coverage by reengineering test cases. Methods of reuse and restructuring test cases are also studied to fit into embedded product-line software.
This study was executed to substitute Carbon-arc method, which is a method currently used for testing light-fastness of military textile products, with Xenon arc method. Specimens used in the study were classified according to the fabric material and color of military textile products and were composed of 11 items of 42 kinds with different colors. Light-fatness test was done by comparing the result of Carbon-arc(KS K 0700) and Xenon arc(KS K ISO 105-B02) method. In Xenon arc method, blue wool reference materials of 1~8 was used, and exposure condition preferred in American continent and light exposure method 3 were applied. After testing with both methods, grade of light-fastness, color difference, reflectance and color were examined. Even though there was a slight difference among 42 specimens used in the test, results exceeded the quality standard both in Carbon-arc-lamp and Xenon arc-lamp. Therefore, it was confirmed that applying KS K ISO 105-B02 together in the KS K 0700-regulated Ministry of National Defense standard and purchase order would also fit.

Modern integrated circuits (ICs) are becoming an integrated parts of analog, digital, and radio frequency (RF) circuits. Testing these RF circuits on a chip is an important task, not only for fabrication quality control but also for tuning RF circuit elements to fit multi-standard wireless systems. In this paper, RF test circuits suitable for embedded testing are introduced: RF power detectors, power control circuits, directional couplers, and six-port reflectometers. Various types of embedded RF power detectors are reviewed. The conventional approach and our approach for the RF power control circuits are compared. Also, embedded tunable active directional couplers are presented. Then, six-port reflectometers for embedded RF testing are introduced including a 77-GHz six-port reflectometer circuit in a 130 nm process. This circuit demonstrates successful calibrated reflection coefficient simulation results for 37 well distributed samples in a Smith chart. The details including the theory, calibration, circuit design techniques, and simulations of the 77-GHz six-port reflectometer are presented in this paper.

Small punch creep testing has received attention due to the convenience of using smaller specimens than those of conventional uniaxial creep tests, which enables creep testing on developing or currently operational components. However, precedent studies have shown that it is necessary to consider friction between the punch and specimen when computing uniaxial equivalent stress from a finite element model. In this study, small punch creep behaviors of AISI 316L stainless steel, which is widely used in high temperature-high pressure machineries, have been compared for the two different ceramic balls such as $Si_3N_4$ and $Al_2O_3$. The optimal range of the friction coefficient is 0.4~0.5 at $650^{\circ}C$ for the best fit between experimental and simulation data of AISI 316 L stainless steel. The higher the friction coefficient, the longer the creep rupture time is. Therefore, the type of ceramic ball used must be specified for standardization of small punch creep testing.
The simplest and the most important distribution in survival analysis is exponential distribution. Koziol and Green (1976) derived Cram$\acute{e}$r-von Mises statistic's randomly censored version based on the Kaplan-Meier product limit estimate of the distribution function; however, it could not be practical for a real data set since the statistic is for testing a simple goodness of fit hypothesis. We generalized it to the composite hypothesis for exponentiality with an unknown scale parameter. We also considered the classical Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistic and generalized it by the exact same way. The two statistics are compared through a simulation study. As a result, we can see that the generalized Koziol-Green statistic has better power in most of the alternative distributions considered.
Component users must customize components they obtain from providers, in order to fit them to their own purposes. Normally, a component consists of black-box parts and white-box parts. Component users customize a component by modifying white-box parts of a component, and the customization faults appear through the interaction between black-box parts and white-box parts. Customization testing could be an integration testing of these two parts of a component. Also, customization testing in CBSD should select effective test data to reduce the testing cost, since CBSD aims to reduce the development cost. Therefore, this paper proposes a customization testing technique based on COM architecture through analyzing many COM components, and the technique selects effective test data. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of the test data selected by the proposed technique through an empirical study. It applies the techlique to a large-scale component-based system, Chamois, and it shows that the technique enables us to test customized COM components that run in a real component-based system

Objectives: This study compares the differences of fit factors before and after training on the N95 mask. The results will be utilized to suggest the need of providing effective training on respirator use. Methods: A total of 49 study subjects were tested, comprised of nurses from a general hospital and undergraduate nursing students from a medical school. Anthropometric measurements of face length and face width were compared with the NIOSH(National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) panel. Fit factors(FF) were measured with TSI Portacount Pro+8038 before and after on-site training regarding the proper use of respirators. The FF pass/fail criterion was set at 100. Results: Two subjects(4.1 %) passed the fit test before training on use of the N95. However, 36(73.5%) of the 49 passed the test after training. Overall the FF(GM(GSD)) was 13.4(3.2) before training, but improved to 106.6(2.1) after training, which was statistically significant. These findings suggest the efficacy of educational intervention, and the performance of the direct on-site training proved to be better than that of the traditional educational methods. Conclusions: This study showed the effect of on-site training of the N95 respirator among health care workers(HCW). Therefore, providing effective training on the use of N95 for HCWs before their work assignments will greatly reduce exposure to harmful agents. It is recommended that fit testing be mandated to check for adequate protection being provided by the given respirators.
The purpose of this study was to select patterns for slim fit pants, for the following main research, to develop new pants patterns that are suitable and preferable for men in their 20s. We compared and analyzed the patterns of which are currently in the market. We compared 10 different slim pants pattern drafting and analyzed their differences. Then, we examined their appearances and functionalities thru a male model test fitting 10 different samples of the pants. The conclusions of the research results were as follows. We listed the patterns in the following order based on the numbers of items each pattern has, which are statistically considerable for the evaluation to the optimum satisfactory level among the total of 35 testing categories: J > B=I > F=H > A > C=G > D > E. In the functionality test of the pants, we found that it was too tight around the waist and abdomen area with Pattern D, where-as it was too loose around the waist with Pattern C:,-, yet, both of the patterns indicated that it is a good fit in over-all. Therefore, we chose Pattern E, D, C, and G as the existing pants patterns that could be used for further research and for educational purposes to develop a slim pants pattern for men in their 20s.
