Statement of Problem: To conduct a successful function of implant prosthesis in oral cavity for a long time, it is important that not only structure materials must have the biocompatibility, but also the prosthesis must be designed for the stress, which is occurred in occlusion, to scatter adequately within the limitation of alveolar bone around implant and bio-capacity of load support. Now implant which is used in clinical part has a very various shapes, recently the fixture that has tapered form of internal connection is often selected. However the stress analysis of fixtures still requires more studies. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to stress analysis of the implant prosthesis according to the different implant systems using finite element method. Material and methods: This study we make the finite element models that three type implant fixture ; $Br{\aa}nemark$, Camlog, Frialit-2 were placed in the area of mandibular first premolar and prosthesis fabricated, which we compared with stress distribution using the finite element analysis under two loading condition. Conclusion: The conclusions were as follows: 1. In all implant system, oblique loading of maximum Von mises stress of implant, alveolar bone and crown is higher than vertical loading of those. 2. Regardless of loading conditions and the type of system. cortical bone which contacts with implant fixture top area has high stress, and cancellous bone has a little stress. 3. Under the vertical loading, maximum Von mises stress of $Br{\aa}nemark$ system with external connection type and tapered form is lower than Camlog and Frialit-2 system with internal connection type and tapered form, but under oblique loading Camlog and Frialit-2 system is lower than $Br{\aa}nemark$ system.

In this paper, we present the result of investigations pertaining to the development of the floating type photovoltaic energy generation system. Pultruded FRP has superior mechanical and physical properties compared with those of conventional structural materials. Since the FRP has an excellent corrosion-resistance and high specific strength and stiffness, the FRP material may be highly appreciated for the development of the floating type photovoltaic energy generation system. In the paper, we discussed the development concepts of the floating type photovoltaic energy generation system, briefly. The mechanical properties of the FRP structural member used in the development are investigated through the tensile and compression tests. Test results are used in the finite element analysis and the design of the system. In addition, bolted connections of the members are briefly discussed and the strengths of FRP bolted connections are estimated based on the results of experiments. The experimental results are compared with the finite element analysis results and discussed briefly. The floating type photovoltaic energy generation system is designed, fabricated, and installed successfully in site.
In order to understand the basic knowledge on the model of heat source in hybrid welding, authors have conducted finite element analysis to calculate heat distribution using three heat source models of non-split type and split type(Volume, Volume-Volume, Volume-Surface). From the research result, we can confirm that Volume-Volume heat source of split type is suitable for the analysis of heat distribution.

Using good properties of an optimal normal basis of type I in a finite field ${\mathbb{F}}_{2^m}$, we present a design of a bit serial multiplier of Berlekamp type, which is very effective in computing $xy^2$. It is shown that our multiplier does not need a basis conversion process and a squaring operation is a simple permutation in our basis. Therefore our multiplier provides a fast and an efficient hardware architecture for a bit serial multiplication of two elements in ${\mathbb{F}}_{2^m}$.
This paper is concerned the finite time blow-up of solution for higher-order nonlinear Kirchhoff-type equation with a degenerate term and a source term. By an appropriate Lyapunov inequality, we prove the finite time blow-up of solution for equation (1.1) as a suitable conditions and the initial data satisfying ||Dmu0|| > B-(p+2)/(p-2q), E(0) < E1.
PURPOSE. This study investigated the influence of bone quality and surgical technique on the implant stability quotient (ISQ) value. In addition, the influence of interfacial bone quality, directly surrounding the implant fixture, on the resonance frequency of the structure was also evaluated by the finite element analysis. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Two different types of bone (type 1 and type 2) were extracted and trimmed from pig rib bone. In each type of bone, the same implants were installed in three different ways: (1) Compaction, (2) Self-tapping, and (3) Tapping. The ISQ value was measured and analyzed to evaluate the influence of bone quality and surgical technique on the implant primary stability. For finite element analysis, a three dimensional implant fixture-bone structure was designed and the fundamental resonance frequency of the structure was measured with three different density of interfacial bone surrounding the implant fixture. RESULTS. In each group, the ISQ values were higher in type 1 bone than those in type 2 bone. Among three different insertion methods, the Tapping group showed the lowest ISQ value in both type 1 and type 2 bones. In both bone types, the Compaction groups showed slightly higher mean ISQ values than the Self-tapping groups, but the differences were not statistically significant. Increased interfacial bone density raised the resonance frequency value in the finite element analysis. CONCLUSION. Both bone quality and surgical technique have influence on the implant primary stability, and resonance frequency has a positive relation with the density of implant fixture-surrounding bone.
In this study, a new smart beam finite element is proposed for the finite element modeling of beam-type smart structures that are equipped with bonded plate-type piezoelectric sensors and actuators. Constitutive equations for the direct piezoelectric effect and converse piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric materials are considered in the formulation. By using a variational principle, the equations of motion for the smart beam finite element are derived. The proposed 2-node beam finite element is an isoparametric element based on Timoshenko beam theory. The proposed smart beam finite element is applied to the free vibration control adopting a constant gain feedback scheme. The electrical force vector, which is obtained in deriving an equation of motion, is the control force equivalent to that in existing literature. Validity of the proposed element is shown through comparing the analytical results of the verification examples with those of other previous researchers. With the use of smart beam finite elements, simulation of free vibration control is demonstrated by sensing the voltage of the piezoelectric sensors and by applying the voltages to the piezoelectric actuators.

We had designed and constructed floating type photovoltaic energy generation system. In this paper, we present the result of investigations pertaining to the development of links between unit modules of the floating type photovoltaic energy generation system. The link system installed between the unit modules is made of pultruded FRP, tire, and polyethilene synthetic fiber rope. The link system is analized by the finite element method. The floating type photovoltaic energy generation system consisted of unit modules connected by link system is installed successfully at sea site. In addition, we present the modified design of the floating type photovoltaic energy generation system based on the proto type system.

This paper is analyzed the effect on characteristics of thrust force of linear induction motor(LIM) by arc type tester. Many kinds of tester have a rotational shape because of a finite length of railroad. Whereas effects by using rotational type tester are generally unknown. For reason of that, this paper is analyzed the effect on characteristics by rotational type tester using 2D finite element method(FEM), and then is compared a thrust force between linear type tester and rotational type tester. Analysis model is decided by numerical modeling for fitting the LIM for propulsion system of light rail, and it is changed to proper arc model. And then we analyzed the arc and the linear model. Consequently, arc type tester is not only useful experiment but also efficient simulation method, and small error is occurred between linear and arc model.

In this study, the method of the finite element modeling for free vibration control of beam-type smart structures with bonded plate-type piezoelectric sensors and actuators is proposed. Constitutive equations for the direct piezoelectric effect and converse piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric materials are considered. By using the variational principle, the equations of motion for the smart beam finite element are derived. The proposed 2-node beam finite element is an isoparametric element based on Timoshenko beam theory. Therefore, by analyzing beam-type smart structures with smart beam finite elements, it is possible to simulate the control of the structural behavior by applying voltages to piezoelectric actuators and monitoring of the structural behavior by sensing voltages of piezoelectric sensors. By using the smart beam finite element and constant-gain feed back control scheme, the formulation of the free nitration control for the beam structures with bonded plate-tyPe Piezoelectric sensors and actuators is proposed.
