Fingerprinting method is useful when estimating the location of a requestor based on LTE signals in an urban area. To do this, it is necessary to acquire location-based signals everywhere in the service area for fingerprint DB generation in advance. However, there may be signal uncollected area within a wide service area, which may cause a problem that the positioning accuracy of the requestor is low. In order to solve this problem, in this paper, signal propagation modeling is performed based on the obtained measurements, and based on this model, the signal information in the non-acquisition region is estimated. To this end, techniques for modeling signal propagation according to a method using measurements are proposed. The performance of the proposed techniques is verified based on the measurements obtained on a test bed selected as Seocho-gu, Seoul. As a result, it can be seen that signal propagation modeling performed based on multidivision segmented measurements has the most performance improvement.
The modern era of microbial genome analysis began in earnest in the 2000s with the generalization of metagenomics and gene sequencing techniques. Studying complex microbial community such as oral cavity and colon by a pure culture is considerably ineffective in terms of cost and time. Therefore, various techniques for genomic analysis have been developed to overcome the limitation of the culture method and to explore microbial communities existing in the natural environment at the gene level. Among these, DNA fingerprinting analysis and microarray chip have been used extensively; however, the most recent method of analysis is metagenomics. The study summarily examined the overview of metagenomics analysis techniques, as well as domestic and foreign studies on disease genomics and cluster analysis related to oral metagenome. The composition of oral bacteria also varies across different individuals, and it would become possible to analyze what change occurs in the human body depending on the activity of bacteria living in the oral cavity and what causality it has with diseases. Identification, isolation, metabolism, and presence of functional genes of microorganisms are being identified for correlation analysis based on oral microbial genome sequencing. For precise diagnosis and treatment of diseases based on microbiome, greater effort is needed for finding not only the causative microorganisms, but also indicators at gene level. Up to now, oral microbial studies have mostly involved metagenomics, but if metatranscriptomic, metaproteomic, and metabolomic approaches can be taken together for assessment of microbial genes and proteins that are expressed under specific conditions, then doing so can be more helpful for gaining comprehensive understanding.
There are four key factors for gas-phase biofilters; biocatalysts(microorganisms), packing materials, design/operating techniques, and diagnosis/management techniques. Biofilter performance is significantly affected by microbial community structures as well as loading conditions. The microbial studies on biofilters are mostly performed on basis of culture-dependent methods. Recently, advanced methods have been proposed to characterize the microbial community structure in environmental samples. In this study, the physiological, biochemical and molecular methods for profiling microbial communities are reviewed, and their applicability to biofilters is discussed. Community-level physiological profile is based on the utilization capability of carbon substrate by heterotrophic community in environmental samples. Phospholipid fatty acid analysis method is based on the variability of fatty acids present in cell membranes of different microorganisms. Molecular methods using DNA directly extracted from environmental samples can be divided into "partial community DNA analysis" and "whole community DNA analysis" approaches. The former approaches consist in the analysis of PCR-amplified sequence, the genes of ribosomal operon are the most commonly used sequences. These methods include PCR fragment cloning and genetic fingerprinting such as denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis, terminal-restriction fragment length polymorphism, ribosomal intergenic spacer analysis, and random amplified polymorphic DNA. The whole community DNA analysis methods are total genomic cross-DNA hybridization, thermal denaturation and reassociation of whole extracted DNA and extracted whole DNA fractionation using density gradient.

As smartphones become more common, anybody can take pictures and record videos easily nowadays. Video files taken from smartphones can be used as important clues and evidence. While you analyze video files taken from smartphones, there are some occasions where you need to prove that a video file was recorded by a specific smartphone. To do this, you can utilize various fingerprint techniques mentioned in existing research. But you might face the situation where you have to strengthen the result of fingerprinting or fingerprint technique can't be used. Therefore forensic investigation of the smartphone must be done before fingerprinting and the database of metadata of video files should be established. The artifacts in a smartphone after video recording and the database mentioned above are discussed in this paper.
Recently, the distribution and using of the digital multimedia contents are easy by developing the internet application program and related technology. However, the digital signal is easily duplicated and the duplicates have the same quality compare with original digital signal. To solve this problem, there is the multimedia fingerprint which is studied for the protection of copyright. Fingerprinting scheme is a technique which supports copyright protection to track redistributers of electronic information using cryptographic techniques. Only regular user can know the inserted fingerprint data in fingerprinting schemes differ from a symmetric/asymmetric scheme and the scheme guarantee an anonymous before re-contributed data. In this paper, we present a new scheme which is the detection of colluded multimedia fingerprint by neural network. This proposed scheme is consists of the anti-collusion code generation and the neural network for the error correction.
This review inquired the recently applied molecular biological and biochemical methods analyzing the microbial community structure of groundwater and, as a result, summarized the functional or taxonomic groups of active microorganisms with major contaminants in groundwater. The development of gene amplification through PCR has been possible to figure out microbial population and identification. Active microbial community structures have been analyzed using a variety of fingerprinting techniques such as DGGE, SSCP, RISA, and microarray and fatty acid analyses such as PLFA and FAME, and the activity of a specific strain has been examined using FISH. Also, this review included the dominant microflora in groundwater contaminated with fuel components such as n-alkanes, BTEX, MTBE, and ethanol and chlorinated compounds such as TCE, PCE, PCB, CE, carbon tetrachloride, and chlorobenzene.

As techniques for indoor positioning, fingerprinting, indoor positioning method using trilateration, and utilizing information obtained from equipments by Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, etc are common and representative methods to specify the user's indoor position. However, in these methods, an indoor space should be provided with enough space to install a large number of equipment (AP, Beacon). In this paper, we propose a technique that can express the user's location within a building by simultaneously using the GPS signal and the signal transmitted from the beacon in a building structure where the conventional method cannot be applied, such as a narrow building. A shortest path search system was designed and implemented by applying the Dijkstra Algorithm, one of the most representative and efficient shortest path search algorithms for shortest path search. The proposed technique can be considered as one of the methods for measuring the user's indoor location considering the structural characteristics of a building in the future.

Small communication devices used in the Internet of Things are vulnerable to various hacking because they do not apply advanced encryption techniques due to their low memory capacity or slow computation speed. In order to increase the authentication reliability of small-sized transmitters operating in 433MHz band, we introduce an RF fingerprint and adopt a convolutional neural network (CNN) as a classification algorithm. The preamble signal transmitted by each transmitter are extracted and collected using software-defined-radio to constitute a training data set, which is used for training the CNN. We tested identification of 20 transmitters in four different scenarios and obtained high identification accuracy. In particular, the accuracy of 95.8% and 92.6% was obtained, respectively in the scenario where the test was performed at a location different from the transmitter's location at the time of collecting training data, and in the scenario where the transmitter moves at walking speed.

BACKGROUND: Cardiac magnetic resonance fingerprinting (cMRF) enables simultaneous mapping of myocardial T1 and T2 with very short acquisition times. Breathing maneuvers have been utilized as a vasoactive stress test to dynamically characterize myocardial tissue in vivo. We tested the feasibility of sequential, rapid cMRF acquisitions during breathing maneuvers to quantify myocardial T1 and T2 changes. METHODS: We measured T1 and T2 values using conventional T1 and T2-mapping techniques (modified look locker inversion [MOLLI] and T2-prepared balanced-steady state free precession), and a 15 heartbeat (15-hb) and rapid 5-hb cMRF sequence in a phantom and in 9 healthy volunteers. The cMRF5-hb sequence was also used to dynamically assess T1 and T2 changes over the course of a vasoactive combined breathing maneuver. RESULTS: In healthy volunteers, the mean myocardial T1 of the different mapping methodologies were: MOLLI 1,224 ± 81 ms, cMRF15-hb 1,359 ± 97 ms, and cMRF5-hb 1,357 ± 76 ms. The mean myocardial T2 measured with the conventional mapping technique was 41.7 ± 6.7 ms, while for cMRF15-hb 29.6 ± 5.8 ms and cMRF5-hb 30.5 ± 5.8 ms. T2 was reduced with vasoconstriction (post-hyperventilation compared to a baseline resting state) (30.15 ± 1.53 ms vs. 27.99 ± 2.07 ms, p = 0.02), while T1 did not change with hyperventilation. During the vasodilatory breath-hold, no significant change of myocardial T1 and T2 was observed. CONCLUSIONS: cMRF5-hb enables simultaneous mapping of myocardial T1 and T2, and may be used to track dynamic changes of myocardial T1 and T2 during vasoactive combined breathing maneuvers.
Reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) techiniques were used to identification and differentiation of cucumber mosaic virus isolated from Forsythia koreana (CMV-Fk). RT-PCT used by two set of 20-mer primers one was CMV-common primers and another was CMV subgroup I-specific primers designed in a conserved region of the 3' end of CMV RNA3, amplified about 490 bp and 200 bp DNA fragments from CMV-Fk, respectively. CMV could be detected by RT-PCR at a dilution as low as 10-4 in forsythia crude sap extracts. Restriction enzyme analysis of RT-PCR products using EcoRI and MspI showed that CMV-Fk belonged to CMV subgroup I. But, analysis of RNA fingerprinting by arbitrarily primed polymerase chain reaction (RAP-PCR) showed heterogeneity of RNA3 between CMV-Fk and CMV-Y as a member of subgroup I.
