Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine whether the cash policies of retail firms listed on Korean stock markets are consistent with the evidence provided in the study of Almeida et al. (2004). Liquidity management is an important issue for financially constrained firms relative to financially unconstrained firms. Because there are few sources of external funding, the optimal liquidity policies of financially constrained firms should reflect their own earnings or cash inflows to create opportunities for current and future real investments. According to this simple idea, we estimate the sensitivity of cash to cash flows and simply check whether the estimated sensitivity to cash flows of the cash retained by constrained retail firms is greater than that of the cash retained by unconstrained retail firms. Through this work, we aim to explain why the cash policies of the retail firms listed on the Korean stock markets differ from those of listed manufacturing enterprises. Research design, data, and methodology - To explain a firm's cash holdings, we use only three explanatory variables: earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT), Tobin's q, and size. All the variables are defined as the value of the numerator divided by aggregate assets. Thanks to this definition, it is possible to treat all the sample firms as a single large firm. The sample financial data for this study are collected from the retail enterprises listed on the KOSPI and KOSDAQ markets from 1991 to 2013. We can obtain these data from WISEfn, the financial information company. This study's methodology has its origin in Keynes's simple idea of precautionary liquidity demand: When a firm faces financial constraints, cash savings from earnings or cash inflows become important from the corporate finance perspective. Following this simple idea, Almeida et al. (2004) developed their theoretical model and found empirical evidence that the sensitivity of cash to cash flows varies systematically according to different types of financing frictions. To find more empirical evidence for this idea, we examined the cash flow sensitivity of the cash held by Korean retail firms. Results - Through several robustness tests, we empirically showed that financially constrained Korean retail firms display significant positive propensity to save cash from earnings before interest and taxes, while the estimated cash flow sensitivity of the cash held by unconstrained retail firms is not significant. Despite the relatively low earnings of retail firms, their sensitivity is three times greater than that of manufacturing enterprises. This implies that Korean retail firms have greater intentions of facilitating future investments rather than current investments. Conclusions - The characteristics of the cash policies of Korean retail firms differ from those of manufacturing firms. This contrast may be attributable to industry-oriented policy planning, regulations, and institutional differences. However, the industrial policymakers should observe signals of the long-term growth options of retail firms based on their high propensity to save from their cash inflows.

CSR activities of SMEs and its impact on the financial competence, B2B businesses and B2C business activities of corporate social responsibility has been to analyzed the differences factor. This allows the small and medium-sized companies effectively promote socially responsible business activities, to spread the government, corporate, NGO, and local stakeholder's CSR was to provide a new perspective.
Information security companies were established in earnest from the mid-late 1990s to early 2000s, far shorter than other national key industries. Nevertheless, the information security industry has made rapid progress. It is expected that the proportion of the information security industry will increase rapidly with the development of advanced technology along with the 4th industrial revolution. As COVID-19, which occurred at the end of 2019, spreads around the world in 2020, non-face-to-face services and digital transformation are accelerating, and cyber threats to users are also increasing. However, there are limitations in responding to new Cyber Security threats due to the shortage of information protection manpower, insufficient security capabilities of domestic companies, and the narrow domestic information protection market. This study examines the external environmental factors of information security companies such as government information protection system operation, government influence, government support, partnership between information security companies, and internal environmental factors such as top management support, financial status, human resources, organizational capability, This study was conducted using empirical data to analyze whether it affects innovation capability and whether organizational capability and innovation capability affect financial and non-financial performance. The results of this study can be used as basic data to suggest policies and implications for information security, and to strengthen the competitiveness of the information security industry.

Private financing is playing an increasing role in public infrastructure construction projects worldwide. However, private investors/operators are exposed to the financial risk of low profitability due to the inaccurate estimation of facility demand, operation income, maintenance costs, etc. From the operator's perspective, a sound and thorough financial feasibility study is required to establish the appropriate capital structure of a project. Operators tend to reduce the equity amount to minimize the level of risk exposure, while creditors persist to raise it, in an attempt to secure a sufficient level of financial involvement from the operators. Therefore, it is important for creditors and operators to reach an agreement for a balanced capital structure that synthetically considers both profitability and repayment capacity. This paper presents an optimal capital structure model for successful private infrastructure investment. This model finds the optimized point where the profitability is balanced with the repayment capacity, with the use of the concept of utility function and multi-objective GA (Generic Algorithm)-based optimization. A case study is presented to show the validity of the model and its verification. The research conclusions provide a proper capital structure for privately-financed infrastructure projects through a proposed multi-objective model.
This study is related to the performance of open innovation collaboration between startups and large corporations and financial institutions. In the life cycle of a typical company, the growth of a startup is difficult to predict. Startups that possess innovative technology but have only recently been established seek to verify their technology and capabilities by participating in open innovation with large corporations and financial institutions, and further strive to lay the foundation for corporate growth. However, if you approach it only as a theoretical coexistence plan, it will be viewed as a vague attempt from the startup's perspective. The purpose of this study is to differentiately verify the benefits of open innovation by analyzing the difference in sales growth of startups for the purpose of sales performance based on the open innovation participation of large companies and small and medium-sized companies(startups). In verifying this, the analysis was based on the sales results of the actual open innovation collaboration B2C model, and the difference was confirmed by comparing before and after collaboration. Here, the differentiation of the study was added by reflecting the corporate growth stage theory, a growth theory. When the corporate growth stage theory was excluded, it was confirmed that sales growth due to open innovation of startups was applied from the third month, and sales growth depending on participation was confirmed to be significant. On the other hand, when the corporate growth stage theory was applied, sales growth was not significant, but the difference in growth could be confirmed from the fourth month, and it was also confirmed in sales growth depending on participation. As a result, this study objectively confirms the effects that can be gained when startups participate in Open-innovation, and it is expected that Open-innovation led by large corporations, financial institutions, and government agencies will develop into a high-quality program environment.

The current PF project is entirely relying on construction company's credibility. As such, it has increased a negative and bad recognition in domestic real estate economy. In addition, PF experts has a perception that a project's safety of future cash flow profitability is more important than the construction company's credibility. So many PF experts make an effort in order to set aside safe project structure of PF and analyse systematically the risks of the project. In common feasibility study of the PF Project, financial specialists and real estate specialists are forecasting and evaluating the suitability of the project through reviewing the development profit from the project of sales. However, cash flow analysis and evaluation from the perspective of mid-sized construction companies are still in the primary level. Therefore, this study has analysed the current feasibility study and go/no go decision making procedures. Then the authors have a new cash flow analysis method from the perspective of mid-sized construction companies, by improving the feasibility study and go/no go decision making procedures.
Purpose - The purpose of the study is to reexamine the price fairness as practiced by low cost airlines, as a consumer has to experience such inconveniences as inferior airport transportation, extra fees on in-flight meals, and non-negotiable seats, and consumers evaluate such experiences keeping in mind their total costs. This evaluation includes price fairness and allows a reasonable and overall consideration of factors of low cost airlines. It tries to set up a measurement of the indicators consumers' perceptions of price fairness academically as it adapts price fairness to airline services which are renowned for price volatility. Research design, data, and methodology - The research proposes an alternative pricing strategy for the long term profit of low cost airlines after going over conflicts between the traditional theory of consumers' price perception mechanism and flexible fair policy of low cost airlines. It was meaningful when it relates to the early stage of the business, while it enhances the risks relating to the long term survival of low cost airlines. In addition, it is significant as it highlights the negative influences on consumers' perceptions of price fairness, as low cost airlines run on extremely low cost perspectives. Results - The results of the research provide insight into four perspectives, as consumers' perceptions of price fairness are influenced by the frequency and range of price changes and services. The first perspective is that it would lead to positive price evaluation when a low cost airline cuts prices frequently with little changes than one big change. It also would lead to the same result when it comes to necessary services. The second perspective is that one big increase of price would rather undermine the negative aspects of price changes than those of several smaller ones. The third perspective is that additional services would be good to consumers' perceptions of price fairness as compared to discount benefits with respect to the cost. Finally, a low cost airline should consider that consumers will change airlines or defer their flight schedule if the flight fares increase beyond their limits. Conclusions - Low cost airlines should reconsider their pricing policies for services that were provided free earlier. A consumer would not like discount benefits when made to pay for services that were, for long, free of charge. If a low cost airline can provide services with no charge, it should improve volumes if the costs are standardized and, moreover, should consider the charging fees. Alternatively, a consumer can choose between services and fair discount. Low cost airlines are implementing sales promotion strategies, as the competition is more intense than it used to be. In these days, they should regard services over sales promotion, as consumers may prefer to spend money on good premium services. Some differentiation in services could create a good market position for the airlines and, hence, good financial performance.

In this paper, we investigate the statistical correlation of the time series for temperature measured at the heat box in the automobile drying process. We show, in terms of the sample variance, that a significant non-linear correlation exists in the time series that consist of absolute temperature changes. To investigate further the non-linear correlation, we utilize the volatility, an important concept in the financial market, and induce volatility time series from absolute temperature changes. We analyze the time series of volatilities in terms of the de-trended fluctuation analysis (DFA), a method especially suitable for testing the long-range correlation of non-stationary data, from the correlation perspective. We uncover that the volatility exhibits a long-range correlation regardless of the window size. We also analyze the cross correlation between two (inlet and outlet) volatility time series to characterize any correlation between the two, and disclose the dependence of the correlation strength on the time lag. These results can contribute as important factors to the modeling of forecasting and management of the heat box's temperature.

The cryptocurrency market has received immense consideration in media and academia since the beginning of 2013 because of its huge price fluctuation. This study focuses on Arab investors who invest in the cryptocurrency market by investigating the influence of behavioral finance factors on investment decisions in the cryptocurrency market. A quantitative approach was used by employing a snowball sampling method through 112 questionnaires. The results show that herding theory, prospect theory, and heuristic theory have a significant effect on investors' investment decisions in the cryptocurrency market. This emphasizes the significant role of the proposed behavioral factors as determinants of the investors' investment decisions. This study contributes to the existing research by consolidating the results of different researches in this study. It also contributes to the investors' understanding of the dynamics of the cryptocurrency market and it enhances the ability to make informed decisions based on their understanding. The implication of the findings will prepare hit and run investors to be progressively prepared to stay in the cryptocurrency market and develop their abilities on the most proficient method to settle on sound venture choices. Furthermore, the findings of this study will encourage financial specialists to realize that information on the traditional finance theory is not adequate to excel in the cryptocurrency market.
Purpose: This study defines a vulnerable group in a community that has become the main target of a national health project also, it is descriptive research to suggest an evidence-based direction to meet their deficit health-related needs, Method: This research examined 833 families and 1,835 family members of the financially vulnerable class that was registered in a home visiting program of a public health center. Among them, 892 persons who had health problems, and their family members were examined in detail to find out their characteristics of vulnerability and health needs by assessment during a nurses home visit. Frequency distribution, stepwise-regression and factor analysis were used to analyze the data. Result: The vulnerable group that was defined with social indexes set as standards, involved substantial characteristics of vulnerability. The characteristics of demand showed tendencies of being clustered in 5 factors needs of intensive nursing care, chronic nursing care problems and helplessness, maintenance of family functioning with a disability, deficient problem solving ability, and simple financial fragility. Conclusion: Categorization of needs is an evidence-based estimator of workload in nurse home visiting services, and can be used as a basic resource for direction to meet the deficit needs of a vulnerable group.
