Methoxyfenozide and novaluron was sprayed on Aster scaber during cultivation period. Samples were collected 7 times in 0-10 days after spraying. Both methoxyfenozide and novaluron were extracted with methanol, partitioned with dichloromethane and analyzed by HPLC. At the fortified level of 0.4 and $2\;mg{\cdot}kg^{-1}$, average recovery of methoxyfenozide were $102.5{\pm}3.03$ and $84.4{\pm}2.82%$, and novaluron were $88.7{\pm}2.32$ and $90.6{\pm}4.50%$, respectively. Biological half-life of methoxyfenozide was 3.99 days and novaluron which was 3.16 days at recommended spray level on cultivation period of the plant. The major reducing factor of novaluron was the increased weight of the plant. In case of application of methoxyfenozide and novaluron following pesticide guide line for safe use, the final residue level was calculated to lower than maximum residue level (MRL).
A study was conducted to investigate the effects of Poria cocos powder on dough rheology and wet noodle quality. Poria cocos powder had considerably lower content of crude protein, crude fat and crude ash than those of wheat flour. Poria cocos powder had also much bigger particle size $(74.62\;{\mu}m)$ and larger surface area $(3884.13\;cm^2/g)$ than those of wheat flour. The peak, final viscosities and setback in amylograph increased with the increase of Poria cocos powder concentration. The water absorption and dough stability in farinograph increased with the increase of Poria cocos powder concentration. With the increase of Poria cocos powder, the L values decreased in wheat flour-Poria cocos powder blend and dough, but increased in wet noodles. The cooked weight and volume of cooked noodles decreased, but the turbidity of soup increased with the increase of Poria cocos powder concentration. The hardness, cohesiveness, chewiness and springiness of cooked noodles had the biggest values at 3% addition of Poria cocos powder, but the values decreased above that concentration. The sensory evaluation of cooked noodles showed that the wet noodles with high quality could be produced by $5{\sim}7%$ addition of Poria cocos powder.

The purpose of this study is to elaborate the request for proposal (RFP) for the localization parts development support project of core parts carried out by the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality. The RFP is the most important document throughout the localization parts project, including project announcement and developer selection, design and test of the development product, final evaluation, and standardization of the project. However, if the RFP is not established at the beginning of the project, there is an increased risk of business failure due to frequent changes by various reasons. In this study, we recognized the necessity of elaboration of RFP and applied the AHP method for quantitative elaboration. Eight requirements of the RFP related to the mechanical/electrical performance of localized development products and three elaboration methods for each requirement were designed in a hierarchical structure, and each weight was calculated by applying the 5-point scale AHP method. The AHP survey was conducted with 20 developers participating in the localization parts project, and the consistency ratio of the AHP survey result was less than 0.1. The elaboration method with the highest value among the calculated weights is classified, and the analysis results and future research directions of the elaboration method are presented.

This study was conducted to investigate the incidence rate of metabolic syndrome, and the related factors were examined. 620 persons who had participated in both initial and second survey were selected. Initial survey was performed at the year of 2006 and second survey was performed at the year of 2010. Among them, 460 persons who didn't initially have a metabolic syndrome were selected as the final study subjects. They were classified into 2 categories; stationary normal group (352, 76.5%), and metabolic syndrome incidence group (108, 23.5%). The incidence rate of metabolic syndrome for the subjects was 25.2 per 1,000 person years. Sex, obesity, and smoking had significant effect on the incidence of metabolic syndrome. In multiple logistic regression analysis, after controlling variables, obesity index was found to be major factor in the incidence of metabolic syndrome. The risk of metabolic syndrome was increased by overweight or obesity. The strategy to control body weight should be emphasized for prevention of metabolic syndrome.

Background : According to the rising cases of clinical researches with Traditional Korean Medicine for persistent allergic rhinitis patients, the need for developing and applying Pattern diagnosis instrument has been increasing. Objective : This study was done to investigate and pragmatize the Pattern diagnosis instrument for persistent allergic rhinitis patients launched by KFDA in 2008. Methods : Data was collected by structured survey papers from Korean Medicine doctors participate in the Conference of The Korean Oriental Medical Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology & Dermatology Society in October 2012. We investigated their representative Patterns(변증) of every questions and used the mean results for assuming agreement rates. The importance order of 8 symptom domains for considering Pattern diagnostic steps were also asked and analyzed for inducing importance rates. Finally based on above two results, we developed weight points of each questions by multiplying agrement percents with importance rates. Results : 50 Korean medicine doctors described the informed consent and survey papers. Response agreement rates of each questions of Pattern diagnosis instruments were analyzed and described in Table 2. Comparing the survey results with diagnostic references, matched percent of 肺胃熱 was the 87.9%, 肺氣虛寒 was 62.5%, 肺脾氣虛 was 62.5% and 腎元虧虛 was 50%. Mean importance rates of rhinorrhea was 7.28, otoscope diagnosis 5.12, obstruction 5.04, sneeze 4.82, symptom duration 4.63, other body condition 3.54, tongue diagnosis 3.02, nasal pruritus 2.86, accordingly. Final importance rates of each questions were assumed, and the range of them was from 1.60 to 4.72, which were listed in Table 5. Conclusion : These results might provide the rational backgrounds and practical methods for developing and utilizing methods of Pattern diagnosis questionnaire for perennial allergic rhinitis.

Objectives: This study was conducted to estimate the unbiased smoking prevalence and its standard errors among adolescents in a large city in Korea, by design-based analysis. Methods: All the students in Daegu city were stratified by grade, gender and region, and then schools as primary sampling units (PSU) were selected by probability proportional to size (PPS) sampling. One or two classes were sampled randomly from each grade, from 5th grade in elementary schools to the 3rd grade in high schools. The students anonymously completed a standardized self-administered questionnaire from October to December 2004. The total number of respondents was 8,480 in the final analysis, excluding the third graders in the general high schools because of incomplete sampling. The sampling weight was calculated for each student after post-stratification adjustment, with adjustment being made for the missing cases. The data were analyzed with Stata 8.0 with consideration of PSU, weighting and the strata variables. Results: The smoking prevalence (%) and standard errors for male students from the fifth grade in elementary schools to the second grade in high schools were $0.93{\pm}0.47,\;1.83{\pm}0.74,\;3.16{\pm}1.00,\;5.12{\pm}1.02,\;10.86{\pm}1.13,\;15.63{\pm}2.44\;and\;17.96{\pm}2.67$, and those for the female students were $0.28{\pm}0.28,\;1.17{\pm}0.73,\;3.13{\pm}0.60,\;1.45{\pm}0.58,\;3.94{\pm}0.92,\;8.75{\pm}1.86\;and\;10.04{\pm}1.70$, sequentially. Conclusions: The smoking prevalence from this study was much higher than those from the other conventional studies conducted in Korea. The point estimates and standard errors from the design-based analysis were different from those of the model-based analysis. These findings suggest the importance of design-based analysis to estimate unbiased prevalence and standard errors in complex survey data and this method is recommended to apply to future surveys for determining the smoking prevalence for specific population.
In this study, we synthesized a series of dendritic polystyrene-b-linear poly (t-butyl acrylate) copolymers with well-defined molecular architectures. The hydroxyl group located at the focal point of the second generation dendron bearing polystyrene ($M_n$ = 1000 g/mol) peripheries was converted into amine group via the following stepwise reactions: 1) tosylatoin, 2) azidation, and 3) reduction. On the other hand, the linear poly (t-butyl acrylate)s were prepared by an atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of t-butyl acrylate where benzyl 2-bromopropanoate and Cu(I)Br/PMDETA were used as initiator and catalyst, respectively. To convert the end group of prepared poly (t-butyl acrylate) s into carboxylic acid, a debenzylation was performed using Pd/C catalyst under $H_2$ atmosphere. In the final step, dendritic-linear block copolymers were obtained through a simple amide coupling reaction mediated by 4-(dimethylamino) pyridine(DMAP) and N,N'-diisopropylcarbodiimide(DIPC). The resulting diblock copolymers were shown to have well-defined molecular weights and narrow molecular weight distributions as supported by $^1H$-NMR spectroscopy and gel permeation chromatography(GPC).

The present study was carried out to investigate the physicochemical properties of hot water extracts of red ginseng powder prepared by two-stage hot air drying method using steamed ginseng and steaming liquid for 2.5 h under high-temperature and high-pressure autoclave condition. The total polyphenols, total flavonoids, total sugar, acid polysaccharides and crude saponin in hot water extracts from red ginseng powder were analyzed and determined, and the flavor components of ginseng were measured using color difference meter and an electronic tongue. The total polyphenol, total flavonoid, total polysaccharide, and acid polysaccharide of the red ginseng hot water extract obtained by autoclaving (ARG) were 9.06 mg GAE/g, 3.38 mg NE/g, 35.22 g/100 g, and 10.90 g/100 g, respectively. The final contents of the total polyphenols, total flavonoids, crude saponin were higher than those determined using other red ginseng methods; the time required for steamed red ginseng production reduced. The total ginsenoside content of ginseng including Rb1 was 10.69 mg/g, which is the lowest ARG. The processing conditions affected the conversion to ginsenosides unique to red ginseng. Red ginseng and steaming liquid obtained from the autoclave are expected to be in need for non-food materials and products as well as foods by improving the flavor components through conversion of red ginseng components into low molecular weight.

The Army is constructing a training system using Miles equipment that applies the latest science and technology to carry out military training. The Miles training system is a system that uses Miles equipment to simulate the damage situation of combat personnel and equipment in the same way as an actual battlefield by conducting practiced maneuvers in the field. Through this, the training force can experience conditions similar to an actual battle. In particular, the training effects of the warriors participating in the training can be maximized by establishing an integrated system that utilizes cutting-edge science technologies, such as information communication and computer simulation. This study analyzed the effects of Miles training in the army using scientific techniques targeted at the mid-range Miles. In particular, the effect index for analyzing the training effect was derived from a literature survey and expert opinions. The weight of each effect index was calculated by applying the Swing method. The final training effect was calculated by combining the results of the survey from train-experienced people. The Miles training effect was 2.6 times more effective than previous training without using Miles, and the satisfaction rate with Miles training according to status was high through variance analysis, and the difference was statistically significant.
In order to enhance overall quality of the Backsulki, a sweet potato flour (SPF) which is rich in sugar and dietary fiber was added into the rice flour at 0, 5, 15, and 25% (w/w, db) ratios. Quality changes of the products were evaluated by storing at 5, 15, and 25$^{\circ}C$ for 4 days. Water binding capacity, swelling power, and solubility of the products increased as the SPF increased. Hunter colorimetric a- and b-value increased while L value of the products decreased as the SPF increased. Retarded retrogradation of the flour mixtures containing the SPF was shown from the DSC thermogram as indicated by the decreased $\Delta$H values. Increases in $T_{i}$ and $T_{p}$ values in relation with the starch gelatinization were shown from the DSC thermogram with a temperature margin of 15-20$^{\circ}C$ as the SPF increased. Increases in softness along with decreases in springiness and chewiness of the products were shown as the SPF increased. It was not so much the storage temperature as the added SPF affected the final texture of the products. Retarded growth of the total microbes of the products was noted by the added SPF during storage at 25$^{\circ}C$ for 3 days. Regarding the above and additional sensory preference scores of the products, a 15%(w/w) level of the SPF was suggested as optimum for the best Backsulki with improved qualities.
