씰링 그라파이트의 고온 마모 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study of Wear Behavior for Sealing Graphite at Elevated Temperature)

  • 마모 마찰기구로 널리 사용되는 그라파이트에 대하여, 고온가스 조절 밸브 내에서 가스 유입 방지용 씰링 그라파이트 소재(HK-6)의 고온 마모 거동에 대하여 연구하였다. 구동축과 라이너 사이에 위치하여 지속적인 마모의 발생을 모사하기 위해 왕복동 마모 시험을 수행하였다. 마모 거동 변화의 영향 인자로 접촉 하중, 미끄럼 속도, 온도를 설정하고 민감도를 확인하였다. 마모 발생이 가장 적고 씰링 그라파이트 소재(HK-6)의 효율이 증대되는 최적조건에 대해 논의하였다.

  • 1-{2,4-Di-(2-hydroxyethoxy)phenyl}-2-(2-thienyl)ethene (5) was prepared and condensed with terephthaloyl chloride to yield polyester (6). Polymer 6 was reacted with tetracyanoethylene to give novel Y-type polyester (7) containing 1-(2,4-dioxyethoxy)phenyl-2-{5-(2,2,3-tricyanovinyl)-2-thienyl)}ethenyl groups as NLO-chromophores, which are parts the polymer backbones. Polymer 7 is soluble in common organic solvents such as acetone and N,N-dimethylformamide. It showed thermal stability up to 300 ${^{\circ}C}$ in thermogravimetric analysis with glasstransition temperature obtained from differential scanning calorimetry near 134 ${^{\circ}C}$. The second harmonic generation (SHG) coefficient ($d_33$) of poled polymer film at the 1560 nm fundamental wavelength was around 6.74 x $10^{-9}$ esu. The dipole alignment exhibited high thermal stability up to the glass-transition temperature ($Tg$), and there was no SHG decay below 135 ${^{\circ}C}$ because of the partial main-chain character of polymer structure, which is acceptable for NLO device applications.

Direct Electrochemistry and Electrocatalysis of Myoglobin with CoMoO4 Nanorods Modified Carbon Ionic Liquid Electrode

  • By using ionic liquid 1-hexylpyridinium hexafluorophosphate ($HPPF_6$) based carbon ionic liquid electrode (CILE) as the substrate electrode, a $CoMoO_4$ nanorods and myoglobin (Mb) composite was casted on the surface of CILE with chitosan (CTS) as the film forming material to obtain the modified electrode (CTS/$CoMoO_4$-Mb/CILE). Spectroscopic results indicated that Mb retained its native structures without any conformational changes after mixed with $CoMoO_4$ nanorods and CTS. Electrochemical behaviors of Mb on the electrode were carefully investigated by cyclic voltammetry with a pair of well-defined redox peaks from the heme Fe(III)/Fe(II) redox center of Mb appeared, which indicated that direct electron transfer between Mb and CILE was realized. Electrochemical parameters such as the electron transfer number (n), charge transfer coefficient (${\alpha}$) and electron transfer rate constant ($k_s$) were estimated by cyclic voltammetry with the results as 1.09, 0.53 and 1.16 $s^{-1}$, respectively. The Mb modified electrode showed good electrocatalytic ability toward the reduction of trichloroacetic acid in the concentration range from 0.1 to 32.0 mmol $L^{-1}$ with the detection limit as 0.036 mmol $L^{-1}$ ($3{\sigma}$), and the reduction of $H_2O_2$ in the concentration range from 0.12 to 397.0 ${\mu}mol\;L^{-1}$ with the detection limit as 0.0426 ${\mu}mol\;L^{-1}$ ($3{\sigma}$).

Effects of $MnO_2$ and $Fe_2O_3$ Additives on the Piezoelectric Properties of 0.05PMN-0.451PT-0.499PZ Ceramics

  • The effects of MnO$_2$ and Fe$_2$O$_3$ on the piezoelectric properties of 0.05PMN-0.451PT-0.499PZ ceramics were investigated. The addition of MnO$_2$ increased mechanical quality factor (Q$_m$) but decreased the dielectric constant (K$^{T}_{33}$) and compliance (S$^{E}_{11}$) of the specimens. These results indicated that MnO$_2$ behaves as an acceptor in 0.05MN-0.451PT-0.499PZ ceramics. The electromecanical coupling coefficient (K$_P$) of 0.05PMN-0.451PT-0.499PZ ceramics slightly increased with the addition of MnO$_2$ however, the enhancement of $K_P$ was insignificant. A small amount of Fe$_2$O$_3$ was added to enhance the $K_P$ of the 0.05PMN-0.451PT-0.499PZ + 0.5 wt% MnO$_2$ ceramics. The addition of Fe$_2$O$_3$ largely increased $K_P$ through the increase of the K$^{T}_{33}$ and the polarization. The mechanical quality factor of the specimens decreased with the addition of Fe$_2$O$_3$however, the reduction was negligible.

Properties Optimization for Perovskite Oxide Thin Films by Formation of Desired Microstructure

  • Perovskite oxide materials are very important for the electronics industry, because they exhibit promising properties. With an interest in the obvious applications, significant effort has been invested in the growth of highly crystalline epitaxial perovskite oxide thin films in our laboratory. And the desired structure of films was formed to achieve excellent properties. $Y_1Ba_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (YBCO) superconducting thin films were simultaneously deposited on both sides of 3 inch wafer by inverted cylindrical sputtering. Values of microwave surface resistance R$_2$ (75 K, 145 GHz, 0 T) smaller than 100 m$\Omega$ were reached over the whole area of YBCO thin films by pre-seeded a self-template layer. For implementation of voltage tunable high-quality varactor, A tri-layer structured SrTiO$_3$ (STO) thin films with different tetragonal distortion degree was prepared in order to simultaneously achieve a large relative capacitance change and a small dielectric loss. Highly a-axis textured $Ba_{0.65}Sr_{0.35}TiO_3$ (BST65/35) thin films was grown on Pt/Ti/SiO$_2$/Si substrate for monolithic bolometers by introducing $Ba_{0.65}Sr_{0.35}RuO_3$ (BSR65/35) thin films as buffer layer. With the buffer layer, the leakage current density of BST65/35 thin films were greatly reduced, and the pyroelectric coefficient of $7.6\times10_{-7}$ C $cm^{-2}$ $K^{-1}$ was achieved at 6 V/$\mu$m bias and room temperature.

터빈 제1단 정익 익렬 하류에서의 3차원 유동 및 압력손실 (Three-dimensional Flow and Aerodynamic Loss Downstream of First-Stage Turbine Vane Cascade)

  • 본 연구에서는 항공기 추진용 가스터빈 엔진의 고증속 터빈 제1단 정익 익렬을 새로이 구축하고, 이 정익의 기본 유동 특성에 대하여 연구하였다. 그 결과 본 연구에서 도입된 정익의 압력면에는 강한 순압력구배가 존재하는 반면, 흡입면에는 앞전에서 미드코드 근처까지 압력면보다 훨씬 더 심한 순압력구배가 존재하고 그 이후 역압력구배가 존재하였다. 두 종류의 유막법을 적용한 유동의 가시화 실험을 통하여, 정익 앞전 상류 영역에 4와류모델 말발굽와류 시스템이 존재함을 확인하였고, 입구 경계층 유동의 박리선과 재부착 유동의 박리선을 정확히 파악하였다. 이와 함께 이 고증속 정익 익렬 하류에서의 2차유동, 압력손실, 선회각, 등에 대한 데이터를 확보하였다.

FLIP CHIP ON ORGANIC BOARD TECHNOLOGY USING MODIFIED ANISOTROPIC CONDUCTIVE FILMS AND ELECTROLESS NICKEL/GOLD BUMP

  • Flip chip assembly directly on organic boards offers miniaturization of package size as well as reduction in interconnection distances resulting in a high performance and cost-competitive Packaging method. This paper describes the investigation of alternative low cost flip-chip mounting processes using electroless Ni/Au bump and anisotropic conductive adhesives/films as an interconnection material on organic boards such as FR-4. As bumps for flip chip, electroless Ni/Au plating was performed and characterized in mechanical and metallurgical point of view. Effect of annealing on Ni bump characteristics informed that the formation of crystalline nickel with $Ni_3$P precipitation above $300^{\circ}C$ causes an increase of hardness and an increase of the intrinsic stress resulting in a reliability limitation. As an interconnection material, modified ACFs composed of nickel conductive fillers for electrical conductor and non-conductive inorganic fillers for modification of film properties such as coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE) and tensile strength were formulated for improved electrical and mechanical properties of ACF interconnection. The thermal fatigue life of ACA/F flip chip on organic board limited by the thermal expansion mismatch between the chip and the board could be increased by a modified ACA/F. Three ACF materials with different CTE values were prepared and bonded between Si chip and FR-4 board for the thermal strain measurement using moire interferometry. The thermal strain of ACF interconnection layer induced by temperature excursion of $80^{\circ}C$ was decreased with decreasing CTEs of ACF materials.

핫박스를 이용한 온실 피복재 및 보온재의 조합에 따른 관류열전달계수 측정 (Overall Heat Transfer Coefficient Measurement of Covering Materials with Thermal Screens for Greenhouse using the Hot Box Method)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국내에서 상용되고 있는 온실 피복재 및 보온재의 조합에 따른 관류열전달계수를 핫박스를 이용하여 평가하는 것이다. 온실용 일중 및 이중 피복재와 이중 보온재의 조합에 대하여 야간천공복사 차단여부에 따른 관류열전달계수를 핫박스를 이용하여 실외에서 측정하였다. 처리조건은 일중피복, 이중피복, 이중피복과 이중 마트보온재 및 이중피복과 이중 다겹보온재의 조합조건과 천공복사 유무에 따른 조건이며 총 8가지이다. 제작된 핫박스는 상시 변화하는 외부의 기상조건하에서도 내부온도를 설정된 온도로 일정하게 잘 유지할 수 있었다. 온실 피복재 및 보온재의 관류열전달계수를 측정하는 실내용 측정장치는 반드시 야간천공복사를 모의할 수 있는 측정장치가 되어야 할 것이다. 야간복사를 차단함으로서 온실의 열 손실을 줄여 보온효과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 분석되었다. 모든 피복방식에 대해 야간복사 차단장치 유무에 관계없이 높은 풍속에서의 관류열전달계수가 낮은 풍속에서보다 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 사용된 측정기법을 사용하면 국내에서 생산되는 피복재 및 보온재의 관류열전달 특성을 정량적으로 비교할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 본 연구는 영화 흥행에 미치는 온라인 구전 변수들의 영향을 다루었다. 2012년 부터 2015년까지 4년 동안 국내에서 개봉한 총 관객 수 50만 이상인 276편의 영화에 대한 통계분석 결과 개봉 후 포털의 평가자 수, 개봉 후 블로그 수, 개봉 후 뉴스 수와 같은 온라인 구전의 크기를 나타내는 변수들이 온라인 구전의 방향을 나타내는 개봉 후 포털의 평점이나 혹은 영화의 내재적 속성을 나타내는 변수들로서 감독, 배우, 배급사, 등급, 국적, 개봉 월, 개봉 계절 등 보다 영화 흥행과 더욱 연관성이 있었다.

Friction and Wear Properties of Boron Carbide Coating under Various Relative Humidity

  • Friction and wear properties of the Boron carbide ($B_{4}C$) coating 100 nm thickness were studied under various relative humidity (RH). The boron carbide film was deposited on silicon substrate by DC magnetron sputtering method using $B_{4}C$ target with a mixture of Ar and methane ($CH_4$) as precursor gas. Friction tests were performed using a reciprocation type friction tester at ambient environment. Steel balls of 3 mm in diameter were used as counter-specimen. The results indicated that relative humidity strongly affected the tribological properties of boron carbide coating. Friction coefficient decreased from 0.42 to 0.09 as the relative humidity increased from $5\%$ to $85\%$. Confocal microscopy was used to observe worn surfaces of the coating and wear scars on steel balls after the tests. It showed that both the coating surface and the ball were significantly worn-out even though boron carbide is much harder than the steel. Moreover, at low humidity ($5\%$) the boron carbide showed poor wear resistance which resulted in the complete removal of coating layer, whereas at the medium and high humidity conditions, it was not. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) analyses were performed to characterize the chemical composition of the worn surfaces. We suggest that tribochemical reactions occurred during sliding in moisture air to form boric acid on the worn surface of the coating. The boric acid and the tribochemcal layer that formed on steel ball resulted in low friction and wear of boron carbide coating.
