The effect of material factors on the compressive strength of ultra-high strength Steel Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Composites (재료요인이 초고강도 강섬유 보강 시멘트 복합체의 압축강도에 미치는 영향)

  • In this paper, to make ultra-high strength SFRCC with the range of compressive strength 180MPa, it was investigated the constitute factors of ultra-high strength SFRCC influenced on the compressive strength. The experimental variables were water-cementitious ratio, replacement of silica fume, size and proportion of sand, type and replacement of filling powder, and using of steel fiber in ultra-high strength SFRCC. As a result, in water-binder ratio 0.18, we could make ultra-high strength SFRCC with compressive strength 180MPa through using of silica fume, quartz sand with below 0.5mm, filling powder and steel fiber.

  • 본 논문에서는 대전입자층과 충전비율에 따른 구동특성을 평가하였다. 소자 제작은 동일한 cell gap에 대전입자의 입자층과 충전비율을 다르게 하여 패널에 주입하였으며 문턱전압 및 구동전압에서의 구간에서 실제로 움직이는 대전입자의 구동입자 개수와 면적을 측정하였다. 그 결과 대전입자층 및 충전비율에 따라서 구동전압 및 구동입자수와 white, black의 차지하는 면적비율의 차이가 있었으며, 면적측정으로 contrast ratio를 평가하고 실제로 구동하는 입자의 비율을 확인하였다.

  • Double layered tube is assembled with an inner tube and an outer tube, similar in material or not, contacting closely and deforming simultaneously when subjected to external force. For the manufacturing of double layered tube, the hydroforming assembly technology has several advantages. Therefore in this study, hydroforming characteristics of double layered tube was investigated. The free bulge test was performed to produce formability diagrams of double layered tubes at various forming pressure and feeding amounts. The hexagonal shape hydroforming test was also performed to estimate the dimensional accuracies of double layered tube through the corner filling ratio and the gap between inner and outer tube. Besides experimental analyses, the analytical model that can predict internal pressure for the hydroforming of double-layered tube was proposed and experimentally validated.

  • Aluminum/Freon22 grooved hat pipes which have 26 axial grooves in a cross-section were manufactured and tested. The performance test was conducted by varying filling ratio and tilt angle. Operation limit, thermal resistance, overall heat transfer coefficient were investigated. The experimental result was compared with previous study which conducted in the case of a heat pipe with combined wick. The experimental result shows that thermal resistance of this heat pipe is twice smaller than that of the heat pipe with combined wick and operation limit is increased about 75%, comparing with that of heat pipe with combined wick.

Effects of Working Fluid Filling Ratio and Heat flux on Correlations of Heat Transfer Coefficient in Loop Thermosyphon (루프 써모사이폰에서 작동유체 충액률과 열유속이 열전달계수의 상관식에 미치는 영향)

  • Due to the coupling between momentum and energy transport theoretical analysis of the loop performance is very complicate, therefore it is necessary that these problems be solved by experimental investigation before applying th loop thermosyphon to heat exchanger design. The evaporator and condenser of the loop thermosyphon were made of carbon-steel, and distilled water was used as working fluid in the experiments. From the experimental data correlations of heat transfer coefficient for evaporator and condenser sections were obtained. For heat fluxes in th range of 13~78kW/$m^2$, the correlation equations of heat transfer coefficients in evaporator and condenser predict the experimental behavior to within $\p$\pm$5% and\;\pm20$% respectively.

  • We show that a pseudo-Anosov map constructed as a product of the large power of Dehn twists of two filling curves always has a geodesic axis on the curve graph of the surface. We also obtain estimates of the stable translation length of a pseudo-Anosov map, when two filling curves are replaced by multicurves. Three main applications of our theorem are the following: (a) determining which word realizes the minimal translation length on the curve graph within a specific class of words, (b) giving a new class of pseudo-Anosov maps optimizing the ratio of stable translation lengths on the curve graph to that on Teichmüller space, (c) giving a partial answer of how much power is needed for Dehn twists to generate right-angled Artin subgroup of the mapping class group.

  • In this study, to investigate the effect of process variables such as reduction in area, semi-die angle and the rectangular ratio to the corner filling which influences the dimensional accuracy of the final product in the drawing of the cluadrangle rod from a round bar, it has been simulated by three dimensional rigid-plastic finite element method. In order to reduce the number of simulation artificial neural network has been introduced. Also, through the experimental investigation, the present results have been implemented on the industrial product. In results, the main process variable is the combination of the semi-die angle in case of the irregular shaped drawing process and reduction in area in the event of regular shaped drawing process, respectively.

  • A composite plastic, where long metallic fibers are used as filling materials, is transformed from nonconducting to conducting medium as the volume fraction of filling metallic fibers is increased from zero : such drastic change in property is called the percolation. It is desired both for practical and theoretical purposes to understand the physics underlying the percolation and to estimate the percolation threshold that is defined by the minimum volume fraction of the metallic fibers for which the percolation occurs. In this study, percolation thresholds are calculated by Monte Carlo Computer simulation. Both lattice and continuum spaces are considered and detailed microstructures of metallic fibers are modelled as rigid and flexible bodies for both model spaces. Simulations are carried out for wide range of aspect ratios and discussions are given.

  • The injection molding process has several advantages enabling it to produce large quantities of molded plastic products using a repetitive process. In recent years, it has been necessary to develop an injection molding process with micro/nano-sized patterns for application to the semiconductor industry and to the bio/nano manufacturing industry. In this study, we apply gas pressure to the inside of a mold and consider the gas dissolution phenomenon for a resin filling into a micro pattern with a line structure. Using numerical analysis, we calculate the filling ratio with respect to time for various internal gas pressures and various aspect ratios of the micro-patterns.

Verification of gate balancing equation using injection molding analysis (사출성형해석 연구를 이용한 게이트 밸런스 계산식의 검증)

  • In a multi-cavity mold having a runner layout of a fish bone structure, problems of unbalanced filling between cavities occur constantly. Unbalanced charging lowers the dimensional accuracy of a molded article and causes deformation after molding. To solve this problem, the gate size connected to each cavity is adjusted using the BGV (Balanced Gate Value) equation. In this paper, in order to solve the filling imbalance problem of the runner layout mold of fish bone structure through injection molding analysis study, we compared the charging imbalance phenomenon before and after improvement after adjusting the gate size by applying BGV equation. From the results of the molding analysis, the shrinkage ratio before and after the improvement of the molded article was improved by only about 0.08%. Based on these results, it was confirmed that the charging imbalance problem was not significantly improved even when the BGV equation was applied.
