전자기장을 활용한 초고층 건축물 콘크리트 압송기술개발 (Development of concrete pumping technology for construction of high-rise building using electromagnetic field)

  • Recently, high-strength concrete used for shortening the construction time of high-rise building construction, Concrete pumping technology is emerging as the core technology of high-rise buildings. In this paper, we have started to study the use of electromagnetic field as a method to increase the efficiency of the lubricating layer between the inside of the pipe and concrete, which has been established as the most important factor determining the pumping performance. The pumping performance improvement effect of concrete strength was verified and basic research was carried out to utilize it as a method to increase the efficiency of pumping in field application. In the related work, the effect of the electromagnetic field was verified by conducting a mock-up performance evaluation (horizontal 300 m) of the pumping force by the concrete strength.

중온화 첨가제 첨가비율에 따른 현장 적용성 평가 및 실내 역학적 거동 특성 연구 (Evaluation of Field Application and Laboratory Performance of Warm-Mix Asphalt According to the Dosage Rate of Additive)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to evaluate of field application and laboratory performance of warm-mix asphalt (WMA) according to the dosage rate of organic-based WMA additive. METHODS: Three asphalt mixtures, i.e., hot mix asphalt (HMA), WMA with the dosage rate of 1.5%, WMA with the dosage rate of 1.0%, were sampled from the asphalt plant when the field trial project were constructed. With these mixtures, the laboratory testings were performed to evaluate the linear viscoelastic characteristics and the resistance to moisture, rutting and fatigue damage. RESULTS : From the laboratory test results, it was found that the WMA with the reduced dosage rate of additive would be comparable to HMA and WMA with the original dosage rate in terms of the dynamic modulus, tensile strength ratio, rutting resistance. However, the fatigue reisistance of WMA with the reduced dosage rate was slightly worse but it should be noted that the fatigue performance is necessarily predicted by combining the material properties and pavement structure. CONCLUSIONS: Through the field construction and laboratory testings, the dosage rate of organic-based WMA additive could be reduced from 1.5% to 1.0% without the significant decrease of compactability and laboratory performance. The long-term performance of the constructed pavement will be periodically monitored to support the findings from this study.

  • The fact that the major cases of life casualties are from smoke in the fire accidents and the expected steep increase of skyscrapers, huge spaces, multiplexes and huge scaled underground spaces demand establishment of efficient smoke countermeasure. The field experiments on two high buildings of 20 stories and 21 stories are carried out to evaluate the field performance of pressure differential systems for smoke management and the results of experiments are presented.

에폭시와 세라믹스를 결합한 혼합물 이용 박층 포장공법의 성능개선 (Performance Improvement of Thin Pavement Layer using Epoxy and Ceramics Composite Materials)

  • 변형과 파손 등의 공용성능 문제가 발생하고 있는 아스팔트 포장과 콘크리트 포장에 비해 내구성능이 우수한 에폭시와 세라믹스를 결합한 혼합물을 도로포장에 적용하기 위하여 실내물성실험을 수행하고 현장에 적용하였다. 본 연구는 부착력과 내구성이 뛰어나 구조물 보수, 보강에 널리 사용되는 에폭시를 도로포장에 적용하기 위해서 세라믹스와 금속성분 등의 micro powder를 첨가하여 포장 재료로써의 공용성능을 확인하고 이를 현장에 적용하여 작업성과 시공성 등을 확인하였다. 콘크리트포장 현장의 시험시공은 파손된 기존 포장구간에 면처리 후 7 mm 박층으로 시공하였고, 아스팔트포장 현장의 시험시공은 파손된 기존 포장구간에 면처리 후 15 mm 박층으로 시공하여, 12개월 가량 균열 및 변형 발생여부를 관찰하였다. 에폭시와 세라믹스를 결합한 혼합물은 기존 포장과의 부착력이 뛰어났으며, 변형과 파손에 대한 저항성이 기존 포장재료에 비해 우수한 것으로 나타나 이를 도로현장에 적용할 경우, 공용성능 및 공용년한의 향상이 기대된다.

Dead ended anode 시스템에서 다공성 유로가 연료전지 성능에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Porous Flow Field on PEMFC Performance with Dead Ended Anode System)

  • Dead ended anode (DEA) 시스템은 수소극(anode) 출구를 막고 압력으로 연료를 공급하는 방식이다. DEA 방식은 시스템 단순화를 통해 연료이용효율과 전력 효율을 향상시킬 수 있다. 하지만 DEA 운전 중 공기극(cathode)에서 수소극으로 질소와 물의 역확산으로 인한 범람(flooding)이 발생한다. 이러한 범람 현상은 연료전지 성능 저하와 전극 열화의 주요 요인이 된다. 따라서 DEA 운전 시 범람을 방지하기 위하여 연료전지 구조와 구성요소가 최적화되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 DEA 시스템에서 연료전지의 성능과 연료이용효율 향상을 위해 발포 금속을 적용한 다공성 유로에 대한 영향을 조사하였다. 그 결과, 공기극에 다공성 유로를 사용한 경우 효과적인 물 관리로 연료전지 성능과 배출 간격(purge interval)이 개선되었고, 이를 통하여 공기극 유로 구조가 물 역확산에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 이에 반해 수소극의 다공성 유로가 연료전지 성능에 미치는 영향은 미미하였다. DEA 시스템에서는 발포 금속 물성이 배출 간격에 영향을 미치며 cell 크기가 큰 발포 금속에서 안정적인 성능을 나타내었다.

Design and Analysis of Experimental Anechoic Chamber for Localization

  • The anechoic chamber is essential tool to measure the various acoustic parameters with high precision. The chamber provides the climate controlled indoor environments but requires the dedicated room at a great cost in order to isolate and absorb sound field. Provided the purpose of the chamber is specific to the experiments of sound localization, the performance requirements excluding free field can be alleviated for cost effective solution. This paper designs low cost and profile anechoic chamber based on acoustic pyramids and evaluates the performance specified by the Annex of ISO 3745. Data analysis is employed to measure the free and hemi-free field performance over five straight paths for working areas and four paths for non-working areas. The identical two measurement campaigns were conducted for free and hemi-free field chamber which is easily interchangeable by simple labor in this chamber design. In the working area with conventional speaker, the results of these analyses demonstrate that lab-designed anechoic chamber is in conformance with ISO 3745 for 250 Hz - 16 kHz one-third octave band at free field chamber and for 1 kHz - 16 kHz one-third octave band at hemi-free field chamber.

외부전기장 적용 섬유상 에어필터의 절연 전극 사용에 따른 여과특성 (Filtration Performance of Fibrous Air Filter under External Electric Field using Insulated Electrodes)

  • Applying an external electric field across air filter media is one of methods to improve the filtration performance. Metal wire meshes have been commonly used as electrodes situated on both sides of a thick filter pad. For a thin filter medium a short circuit, known as the biggest drawback for applying an external electric field to air filter, can occur at the closest point between electrodes. In this study several types of insulated meshes were prepared by coating #50 meshes with a dielectric material, Nylon 66, and the filtration property of air filter was evaluated at the presence of external electric field using those insulated meshes as electrodes and compared with that of filters using bared meshes. The collection efficiency of tested filter was increased from 78% to 95% for singly charged 100 nm particles by application of external electric field. As a result, there was no significant difference in collection efficiency between filters with insulated and bared electrodes. Similar results could be also seen from the tests using polydisperse particles. Finally, through this study, we found that the insulation of mesh electrodes doesn't affect the filtration performance of fibrous air filter under external electric field.

  • In this study, in order to overcome the weakness of acoustic field analysis which is generally used for ultrasonic probe performance evaluation, automatic acoustic field measurement system and evaluation parameters were proposed. The comparisons between acoustic field simulation and measured acoustic distribution data of normal and abnormal channels were conducted to evaluate the availability of proposed system and evaluation parameters. First, the impulse response characteristic of sample probe was investigated to classify the normal elements and abnormal elements. And then, normal channels and abnormal channels with abnormal element were chosen. The suggested 12 evaluation parameters were calculated using the acoustic fields of these channels. The availability of proposed automatic acoustic field measurement system and evaluation parameters was confirmed. And the performance evaluation of ultrasonic probe using acoustic field analysis could be easier and faster.

소수성 특성을 이용한 저점도 AP 표면처리재의 현장 적용성 연구 (A Study on Field Applicability Evaluation of the Hydrophobic - Low Viscosity Surface Treatment Material for Pavement Preventive Maintenance)

  • PURPOSES : Surface treatment material for pavement preventive maintenance should be inspected field applicability. This study(Part II) aimed to checkup coating characteristics and performance analysis using lab and field tests. The hydrophobic - low viscosity filling material for pavement preventive maintenance is presented in Part I, which is a series of companion study. METHODS : Relative comparison between general asphalt mixtures and surface treatment asphalt mixtures are analyzed and measured for the field application such as indirect tensile strength ratio(TSR), abrasion resistance, crack propagation resistance, temperature resistance, coating thickness, permeability resistance and skid resistance in terms of british pendulum number(BPN). RESULTS : It is found that TSR, crack propagation resistance and permeability resistance is increased as against uncoated asphalt specimen. Abrasion resistance and temperature resistance is secured from the initial coating thickness point of view, which is about 0.2~0.3mm. Skid resistance on the surface treatment pavement is satisfied with the BPN criteria of national highway because of exposed aggregate and crack sill induced pavement deterioration and damage cracks. CONCLUSIONS : The hydrophobic - low viscosity surface treatment material for pavement preventive maintenance is validated on field applicability evaluation based on quantitative analysis of coating thickness and performance analysis using lab and field tests.

근접전계 시험 기법을 활용한 Ka-대역 배열안테나 성능 검증 (Performance verification of Ka-Band Array Antenna using Near-Field Test Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 근접전계 시험을 수행하여 Ka 대역 밀리미터파 탐색기용 도파관 광벽 슬롯 배열 안테나의 성능 검증을 수행하였다. 슬롯 배열 안테나의 측정은 원전계, 근접전계 시험을 모두 수행하고 비교하여 밀리미터파 대역의 근접전계 시험의 유효성을 확인하였다. 검증을 수행한 슬롯 배열 안테나의 빔폭 및 부엽 준위를 포함한 빔 패턴 특성이 동일함을 확인하였다. 방위각, 고각 빔패턴의 부엽준위 차이는 1dB 이내로 검증되었다. 추가로 back-projection 기법을 활용하여 근접전계 데이터를 가공한 후 안테나 개구면의 분포를 새롭게 추출하여 배열 안테나 성능 분석을 수행하는 방법에 대하여 소개하였다.
